John E. Leamy, 71
FITCHBURG -- John E. Leamy, 71, of 137 Appleton Circle, a retired papermaker, died Wednesday, May 30, in HealthAlliance Leominster Hospital after a long illness.
His wife, Lucille M. (Gelinas) Leamy, died in 1996. He leaves two sons, John L. and Michael B. Leamy, both of Fitchburg; two daughters, Nancy S. Wilson and Diane M. Sullivan, both of Fitchburg; a sister, Mary Leamy of Fitchburg; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A brother, Robert Leamy of Fitchburg, died in 2001. Born in Fitchburg, son of Leo and Rose (Leahy) Leamy, he graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1947. He served 20 years in the Army National Guard, attaining the rank of sergeant first class.
Mr. Leamy worked 45 years at James River Paper Co. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, West Fitchburg, and was a past president of A. R. C. in Fitchburg.
The funeral will be held Saturday, June 2, from Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli Funeral Home, 243 Water St., with a Mass at 10 a. m. in St. Camillus de Lellis Church, 333 Mechanic St. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p. m. Friday, June 1, in the funeral home. OXFORD -- Elizabeth A. (Perks) Beaudette, 66, of Leicester Street, North Oxford, died Tuesday, June 12, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center, Worcester, from complications after surgery.
She leaves her husband of 44 years, Ronald P. Beaudette; two daughters, Paula A. Beaudette-Entwistle of Worcester and Beth-Ann Beaudette of Webster; a brother, Edward Perks of Millbury; a sister, Muriel Thibeault of North Oxford; six grandchildren; a great granddaughter; nephews and nieces. A daughter, Pamela J. Beaudette of Southbridge, died in 1998. Three brothers, Charles, Robert and Walter Perks, and a sister, Margaret Nichols, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Charles H. and Margaret M. (Edwards) Perks, and lived in Oxford and Charlton before returning to Oxford.
Mrs. Beaudette was a clerk at Wal-Mart in Oxford for four years, retiring in 1998. She was a member of St. Ann's Church in North Oxford and the Oxford Pitch League. She was an avid reader and computer enthusiast.
The funeral will be held Friday, June 15, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a. m. in St. Ann's Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will be in St. Roch's Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Thursday, June 14, in the funeral home. HOPEDALE -- Richard D. Lemon, 58, of 316 South Main St., died Saturday, June 16, in Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital, Milford.
He leaves his wife, Sandy (Guerino) Lemon; two sons, Brian Lemon of Guilford, Conn., and Scott Rojas of Milford; a daughter, Christine Misurelli of Nantucket; two brothers, Peter and Thomas Lemon, both of Bellingham; two sisters, Janet Sprague of Nottingham, N. H., and Joanne Andreotti of Hopedale; and three grandchildren. He was born in Milford, son of George and Grace (Bowker) Lemon, and graduated from Hopedale High School in 1960.
Mr. Lemon was a shipping and receiving clerk for Zymarc Corp. in Hopkinton. He previously worked at Foster Forbes in Milford and the former Draper Corp. He enjoyed fishing and golfing.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a. m. Thursday, June 21, in Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St. Calling hours are from 9 to 11 a. m. Thursday, June 21, in the funeral home.

WEBSTER -- Nicholas Russo, 79, of 133 Worcester Road, a retired stone mason, died Friday, June 15, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.
He leaves his wife of 53 years, Marcella F. (Busha) Russo; a son, Ronald E. Russo of Webster; a daughter, Sharon Stelmach of Webster; four sisters, Mary George and Josephine Amaral, both of Florida, Delia Sgariglia of Dudley and Margaret Mathews of Arizona; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Born in Webster, son of Frank and Theresa (Soupie) Russo.
Mr. Russo worked 45 years as a stone mason, and worked for Edward Lawida Masonry. He also owned his own masonry company.
He was a member of the Liberty Club. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and gardening.
The funeral service will be held Monday, June 18, from Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., with a Mass at 10 a. m. in St. Louis Church, Lake Street. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery. Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p. m. Sunday, June 17, in the funeral home.

AUBURN -- Albert B. Zavorskas, 77, of 9 Prospect Parkway, a retired self-employed building contractor, died Wednesday, June 13, in William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Conn. after being stricken ill.
His wife, Matilda C. (Kersis) Zavorskas, died in 1995. He leaves two sons, Paul A. Zavorskas of Hubbardston and Alan B. Zavorskas of Worcester; a daughter, Susan A. Jolicoeur of Auburn, with whom he lived; nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of Bernard and Mary (Keiila) Zavorskas, and graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester. He later attended Williams College in Williamstown. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific. He also served with the merchant marine. He moved to Auburn in 1966.
Mr. Zavorskas was a self-employed building contractor, and for 38 years he operated the E. Z Building Co. in Auburn.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish.

WORCESTER -- Jeffrey Chavis, 35, of 45 Wachusett St., died Thursday, June 14, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.
He leaves two sons, Jeffrey Chavis Jr. and Mitchell Chavis, both of Worcester; his mother, Elnora (Williams) Chavis of Worcester; five brothers, Jarvis C. Chavis Jr., Alfonso A., Dennis, Cassius C., and Jermaine Chavis, all of Worcester; four sisters, Deborah, Jean M., Ruby I. and Diverna Chavis, all of Worcester; nephews and nieces. Born in Worcester, son of Jarvis C. Chavis, he attended North High School.
Mr. Chavis was a laborer in the construction field. He enjoyed basketball.

FITCHBURG -- Helen D. (LeBlanc) Allen, 79, of 705 Mt. Elam Road, died Tuesday, June 12, in Birchwood Care Center, after an illness.
Her husband of 52 years, Joseph F. Allen, died in 1999. She leaves four sons, Bernard P. Allen of Orange City, Fla., Thomas P. Allen of Townsend, Clifford M. Allen of Lunenburg and Norman LeBlanc of Lunenburg; a daughter, Tina M. Linder of Fitchburg, with whom she lived; a brother, Leo LeBlanc of Leominster; two sisters, Dot Blake of Sacramento, Calif., and Lucy Boulanger of Wayne, Pa. ; five great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces; grandnephews and grandnieces. She was born in Fitchburg, daughter of Abel and Alice (Boudreau) LeBlanc.
Mrs. Allen worked in quality control for the former Asher Pants for 23 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Bernard's Church. She enjoyed playing bingo.

DUDLEY -- Denis J. Keohane, 59, of 1 Sabaj Way, a retired educator, died Saturday, June 16, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- University Campus, Worcester, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 25 years, Joanne (Turner) Keohane; two daughters, Elizabeth A. Keohane of Durham, N. C., and Laura M. Keohane of Dudley; his father, Denis Keohane Sr. of Dudley; and several nephews and nieces. A brother, Rev. Bartholomew D. Keohane of Brooklyn, N. Y., predeceased him. He was born in New York City, son of Mary A. (Collins) Keohane, and lived the past 27 years in Dudley. He graduated from Catholic University, Washington, D. C., and received his master's degree from Northwestern University, Chicago.
Mr. Keohane was the director of Computer Services at Nichols College for 19 years, retiring due to illness two years ago. Previously, he was the chairman and head of the Math Department at Southbridge High School, and, as a Christian brother, taught math in Manchester, N. H., and in Providence.
He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Before his illness, he participated in many town, church, and school activities.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, June 19, from the Bartel Funeral Home and Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., with a Mass at 11 a. m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road. Burial will be in Waldron Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p. m. Monday, June 18, in the funeral home. WEBSTER -- Spiro Kerbici, 93, of 60 Hillside Ave., died Saturday, June 16, in Integrated Health Services, Worcester, after a long illness.
His first wife, Alexandra Kerbici, died in 1947. His second wife, Elizabeth (Kaliga) Kerbici, died in 1992. He leaves a son, George Kerbici of Webster; a daughter, Ann Chito of Pompano Beach, Fla. ; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was born in Istanbul, Turkey, son of Michael and Paraskive Kerbici, and lived here many years.
Mr. Kerbici worked many years for the former Anglo Fabrics Co., retiring years ago.
He was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church.

WARREN -- Edward W. Faron, 80, of Warren, a veteran of World War II, died Monday, June 18, in Holyoke Soldiers Home, Holyoke.
His wife, Nora C. (Bigda) Faron, died several years ago. He leaves several nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews. Two sisters, Gertrude Hagman and Isabelle O'Hare, predeceased him. He was born in Warren, son of William and Isabelle (Shea) Faron. He graduated from the former Warren High School. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving on the USS Benson.
Mr. Faron worked several years as an engineer at Westover Air Force Base, Chicopee.
He was a member of St. Paul's Church. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8606 of West Warren and was a lifetime member of the Sturbridge Coin Club.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, June 20, from Doherty Funeral Home, 40 Bacon St., with a Mass at 11 a. m. in St. Paul's Church, West Main Street.
