ASHLAND -- Jacob K. Monahan, 23, of Ashland, formerly of Framingham and Worcester, died Sunday, June 3, at home.
He leaves his parents, Bruce K. and Donna J. (Bendiak) Monahan of Framingham; a brother, Jason M. Monahan of Ashland; his paternal grandparents; his maternal grandfather. He attended Framingham High School.
Mr. Monahan was a former landscaper.
He enjoyed dirt-bike riding, fishing, and traveling.The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, in Wadsworth-Chiappini Funeral Home, 318 Union Ave. Burial will be private. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, in the funeral home.

GARDNER -- Ernest “Wally” Orre, 83, of 275 Temple St., died Sunday, June 3, in the Leo P. LaChance Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 58 years, Celia (Simenos) Orre; a brother, Carl G. Orre of East Templeton; and several nephews and nieces. He was born in Gardner, son of Arvid and Elvina (Teir) Orre, and attended Gardner Schools. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Orre was a bus driver for 60 years for Templeton Street Railway and Wilson Bus Lines before retiring.
He was a member of Hope Lodge of Masons, American Legion Post 129, Jessamine Chapter 75 Order of Eastern Star, the Teamsters Union, and Covenant Evangelical Lutheran Church. In 1990, he and his wife were awarded a special citation by the Gardner Chapter AARP for their outstanding service to the community. He enjoyed gardening.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, in Smith Funeral Home, 69 Vernon St. Burial will be in Green Bower Cemetery. Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, in the funeral home. Members of American Legion Post 129 will conduct services at 7 p.m. during the calling hours.

STURBRIDGE -- Kevin M. Orsi, 30, of 30 Heritage Green, Fiskdale, formerly of Charlton, died Monday, June 4, in St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford after being stricken ill in the Mariner's Home, New Bedford.
He leaves a son, Jeffrey Tucker of Tennessee; his father, Dennis P. Orsi of Charlton; his mother, Nancy Watson of Utica, N.Y.; a brother, Keith M. Orsi of Southbridge; a sister, Karly L. Orsi of Fiskdale; his paternal grandparents, Alfred P. and Ellen (Gustafson) Orsi of the Cherry Valley section of Leicester; his stepmothers, Janet E. Orsi of Charlton and Sally Orsi of Fiskdale; five stepbrothers, Michael Sylvester and Douglas Johnny, both of Port Hardy, Canada, Russell Jackman of St. Thomas, Canada, Joel and Wesley Orsi, both of Fiskdale; three stepsisters, Jennifer Cordova of Worcester, Jeanine Walkus of Port Hardy and Heather Watson of Utica; nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester and lived most of his life in Charlton. He graduated from Bay Path Vocational Technical School, Charlton, in 1989.
Mr. Orsi was a sprinkler fitter for 10 years at Orsi Sprinkler Co., North Oxford.
The graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 8, in North Side Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Charlton. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 7, in Morrison-Morin Funeral Home, 1131 Main St., Leicester.
Barbara E. Pappie, 80

BOYLSTON -- Barbara E. (Maynard) Pappie, 80, formerly of 644 Main St., died Saturday, June 2, in the Lutheran Home, Worcester. She leaves three sons, Michael and Mitchell Pappie, both of Worcester, and Jonathan Pappie of Newport Beach, Calif.; a grandson. She was born in Boylston, daughter of John and Florence (Dowd) Maynard. She lived many years in New York, Nevada and Calif., before returning to Boylston 30 years ago. She graduated from Commerce High School in 1938 and attended the Salter School, both in Worcester.
Mrs. Pappie was a story writer for the Springfield Union News for several years. She was later a columnist for the Worcester Recorder. Many years ago, she worked at Clark University in Worcester and at the Hotel Belmont in West Harwich on Cape Cod.
In Boylston, she helped to produce and direct musical variety shows at the Town House for several years. She also enjoyed composing poetry.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, in Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Boylston. Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lutheran Home, 26 Harvard St., Worcester, MA 01609.
Julia D. Pazarisky, 91

MARLBORO -- Julia D. (Alberini) Pazarisky, 91, of 44 Glen St., a retired dietary aide, died Monday, June 4, in Marlboro Hospital after an illness.
Her husband, Julius Pazarisky, died in 1999. She leaves a daughter, Ann M. Gauthier of Marlboro; a sister, Gloria Stella of Las Vegas; a grandson, Richard A. Gauthier Jr. of Marlboro; nephews and nieces. She was born in Clinton, daughter of Michael and Angelina (Finadi) Alberini, and lived most of her life in Marlboro.
Mrs. Pazarisky was a dietary aide for more than 20 years at Braemoor Nursing Home before retiring. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
The funeral will be held at 8 a.m. Friday, June 8, from John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main St., with a Mass at 9 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Southboro. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 7, in the funeral home.

CHARLTON -- Sandra J. (Largesse) Pillsbury, 41, of 45 Richardsons Corner Road, died Saturday, June 2, at home after a brief illness.
She leaves her husband, Mark A. Pillsbury Sr.; a son, Mark A. Pillsbury Jr. of Charlton; a daughter, Amy L. Pillsbury of Charlton; her father, Rolland Largesse of Charlton; two brothers, Rick Largesse of Parsons, W.Va., and Jack Largesse of Charlton; three sisters, Carlene McNeese of Springfield, Tenn., and Cindy Kavorkian and Cheryl Stevens, both of Charlton; several nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Lillian (Rocheleau) Largesse, and graduated from Shepherd Hill Regional High School in 1978.
Mrs. Pillsbury was a certified nursing assistant for the past two years at the Masonic Home.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, in Charlton Baptist Church, Hammond Hill Road. Burial will be in West Ridge Cemetery. DUDLEY -- Mary M. (Krupinski) Polomski, 82, of 73 Mason Road, a retired stitcher, died Monday, June 4, in Hubbard Regional Hospital, Webster.
Her husband, Alexander W. Polomski, died in 1985. She leaves a daughter, Barbara A. Fernane of Newmarket, N.H.; a sister, Jennie Pulawski of Dudley; two granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews. She was born in Dudley, daughter of Anthony and Clementina (Wedda) Krupinski.
Mrs. Polomski was a stitcher more than 40 years at Stevens Linen in Dudley, retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Andrew Bobola Church and its Holy Rosary Sodality. She was also a member of St. Joseph Basilica in Webster.
The funeral will be held Thursday, June 7, from Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Andrew Bobola Church, West Main Street. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, in the funeral home.

Hermogenes Ramos, 50

WORCESTER -- Hermogenes R. Ramos, 50, of 23 Enfield St., a heavy equipment operator, was stricken ill and died Monday, June 4, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- University Campus.
He leaves two sons, Omedys H. and Jordy H. Ramos, both of Worcester; a daughter, Charlyn M. Ramos of Worcester; his parents, Tobia Ramos of Worcester and Altagracia Rodriguez of the Dominican Republic; five brothers; a sister; nieces and nephews. He was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and came to the United States in 1989. He moved to Worcester in 1996. He was a second lieutenant in the Dominican Republic Air Force.
Mr. Ramos was a heavy equipment operator for Staples since 1996. He previously worked in the same capacity for several companies in New York. He was a member of St. Paul's Cathedral. He took an interest in Worcester public school relationships with Hispanic students, attending and speaking at school committee meetings.
The funeral will be held Saturday, June 9, from Callahan Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Cathedral, 15 Chatham St. After cremation, burial will be at the family's convenience. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 8, in the funeral home.

AUBURN -- Marianne F. (Gregory) Plaszewski Ritso, 61, of 131 Washington St., died Sunday, June 3, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.
She leaves her former husband, Richard Plaszewski of Brookfield; two sons, Richard Plaszewski of Brooksville, Fla., and Robert T. Plaszewski of Bulverde, Texas; four daughters, Deborah A. Plaszewski of Westminster, Diane Moccia of Mashpee, Doreen Arrell of Oxford, and Lynn Beardsley of Spencer; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. She was born in New York, daughter of Robert and Geraldine Gregory. She lived in Worcester before moving to Auburn 20 years ago. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester.She was a cook many years at the former Worcester City Hospital.

Edward W. Tamulen, 82

GARDNER -- Edward W. Tamulen, 82, of 150 Lovewell St., a World War II veteran, died Saturday, June 2, at home after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 49 years, Ruth S. (Malmberg) Tamulen; two sons, James C. and John E. Tamulen, both of Gardner; a daughter, Nancy S. Morgan of Gardner; a sister, Lillian A. Stacy of Niskayuna, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. He was born in Fitchburg, son of John and Mary (Tunkunas) Tamulen, and moved to Gardner in 1923. He graduated from Gardner High School in 1937 and Worcester Boys Trade High School in 1940.
He served in the Navy during World War II.Mr. Tamulen was a welding instructor 19 years at Worcester Vocational Technical High School, retiring in 1984. He previously worked for Norton Co. in Worcester and Travers Welding Co. for many years.
Mr. Tamulen was a former Ward 5 City Councilor for 10 years. He was a member of the Montachusett Technical Planning Board.He was active in many Masonic organizations, and was a member of Hope Lodge of Masons, Royal Arch Chapter, Ivanhoe Commandery, Harris Council, and the Allepo Temple Shrine in Wilmington. He was also a member of Gardner Lodge of Elks, American Legion Post 129, Ovila Case Post 905 Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Lithuanian Outing Association, the Otter River Sportsmen's Club, and the American Welding Society, Worcester Chapter.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, in Smith Funeral Home, 69 Vernon St. Burial will be in Green Bower Cemetery. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 4, in the funeral home. The Hope Lodge of Masons will conduct a Masonic service at 7 p.m. during the calling hours. Anna M. Temple, 76

MARLBORO -- Anna M. (Rollins) Temple, 76, of Marlboro, died Saturday, June 2, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center from injuries suffered in a 3-car accident May 8 on Broad Street, Hudson.
Her husband, Gordon “Mike” Temple, died March 13. She leaves two sons, Gary M. Temple of Berlin and Gordon E. Temple of Sutton; two daughters, Lizette A. Grady of Severna Park, Md. and Linda E. Smith of Southboro; a brother, Charles Rollins of Attleboro; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A grandson died in 1975. Two brothers and three sisters predeceased her. She was born in Bolton, daughter of Elton and Mary (Coccoran) Rollins, and moved to Marlboro in 1944.
Mrs. Temple worked more than 15 years in Marlboro schools.
She enjoyed reading and bingo. She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and the Loyal Order of Moose 1129.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 7, in St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 27 Main St., Southboro. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
