Anne P. Turbidy, 85

WEBSTER -- Anne P. (Ivascyn) Turbidy, 85, of 43 Morris St., died Tuesday, April 10, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center after an illness.
Her husband of 59 years, John T. Turbidy, died June 27. She leaves a daughter, Pauline A. Turbidy of Webster; a son, John P. Turbidy of Phoenix; two grandchildren, Jennifer Turbidy of Plano, Texas and John Turbidy of Frisco, Texas; three nephews. A brother, John P. Ivascyn, and a sister, Josephine Despeaux, both of Webster, predeceased her. She was born in Webster, daughter of Peter J. and Pauline (Stefanyszyn) Ivascyn, and graduated from Bartlett High School.
Mrs. Turbidy was a school secretary at the Intermediate School, now Park Avenue School, from 1961 to 1979.
She was a member of St. Louis Church.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 16, in St. Louis Church, 16 Lake St. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Louis School Endowment Fund, 15 Lake St., Webster, MA 01570. Robert J. Ronald F. Turley, 49

WINCHENDON -- Ronald F. Turley, 49, of 169 Eli Drive, a senior quality engineer, died Wednesday, April 11, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of five years, Hui (Hong) Turley; a stepdaughter, Ella Alston of Winchendon; two stepsons, Albert and Edward Alston, both of Winchendon; his mother, Elfriede (Bechtel) Johnsen of Great Falls, Mont.; a brother, Ralph Turley of Kalispell, Mont.; nephews and nieces. He was born in Miles City, Mont., son of Carl E. Turley, and lived in Winchendon since 1988. He graduated from Miles City High School in 1970 and from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Wash., in 1974. He took graduate studies at Pennsylvania State University.
Mr. Turley was a senior quality engineer two years for Film Microelectronics Inc., North Andover. He previously worked 12 years for Omnirel Inc. He attended Antioch Korean United Methodist Church, Leominster, and was a member of Gardner Lodge of Elks and Pacific Lutheran University Alumni Association. He enjoyed photography.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14, in Smith Funeral Home, 69 Vernon St., Gardner. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner. Albert D. Turskey, 80

AUBURN -- Albert D. Turskey, 80, of 186 Boyce St., a World War II veteran and a former business owner and operator, died Friday, April 6, in Life Care Center of Auburn.
He leaves his wife of 50 years, Emma (Wehrli) Turskey; two daughters, Alaine M. Boucher of Spencer and Jean-Anna Boyda of Worcester; a sister, Ruth T. Johnson of Tampa, Fla.; and four grandchildren. He was born in Worcester, son of Stanley and Eva Turskey, and lived in Charlton before moving to Auburn. He graduated from Charlton High School in 1939. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II.
Mr. Turskey owned and operated ADT Auto Service, Charlton. He was a member of Auburn Historical Society and a member and past commander of the American Legion Post in Charlton.
At his request, no funeral service is planned. After cremation, burial will be private. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 9, in Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St.
Leo Valeri, 75

BEDFORD -- Leo Valeri, 75, of 200 Springs Road, formerly of Leominster, a veteran of World War II, died Saturday, April 7, in the Veterans Administration Hospital, West Roxbury, after a long illness.
He leaves two brothers, Fioindo “Footy” and Victor Valeri, both of Leominster; a sister, Viola Godin of Leominster; and many nephews and nieces. Born in Leominster, son of Joseph and Elvira (diGiamarino) Valeri, he moved many years ago to Bedford. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe and receiving a Bronze Star.
Mr. Valeri enjoyed music and drawing.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, April 10, from the M.A. Simard & Son Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster. Lloyd W. Vanasse, 65, real estate business owner

PRINCETON -- Lloyd W. Vanasse, 65, of 206 Sterling Road, a real estate business owner and operator, died Wednesday, April 4, in the Hospice Residence, Worcester, after an illness.
He leaves his wife, Beverly (Sorblom) Vanasse; two sons, Richard L. Vanasse of Ridgefield, Conn., and Jonathan L. Vanasse of Dewitt, N.Y.; two daughters, Beth A. Hernandez of Gardner and Amy L. McPhee of Woonsocket, R.I.; his mother, May (Fontaine) Vanasse of Princeton; a brother, Alan Vanasse of Norfolk, Va.; four sisters, Alice Nolan of Albany, N.Y., Claire O'Connor and Carol Vanasse, both of Princeton, and Celia Oliver of Holden; seven grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Robert Vanasse of Worcester and Vernon Vanasse of Princeton, predeceased him. He was born in Holden, son of Alfred R. Vanasse, and moved to Princeton in the early 1940s. He graduated from Holden High School and attended Worcester Junior College, Boston University, and the University of Virginia.
Mr. Vanasse sold commercial and residential real estate throughout Worcester County for more than 30 years. Since 1977, he owned and operated Vanasse Real Estate, specializing in land development and new home construction. In the 1960s, he worked for Worcester County National Bank.
He was a founding member of Prince of Peace Parish and served on the church council. He served nine years on the Princeton School Committee, serving five years as chairman. He served on the Wachusett Regional High School Committee, serving two years as chairman. He was president of the Princeton Parent Teachers Association, and a member of the Board of Directors of Clinton Savings Bank, the Greater Worcester Board of Realtors and the Princeton Cemetery Committee. He was an assistant scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 1. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
The private funeral Mass will be in Prince of Peace Church. Burial will be at the family's convenience. There are no calling hours. WORCESTER -- Antonia M. (Correa) Vargas, 68, of 40 Piedmont St., died Wednesday, April 4, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- Memorial Campus, after an illness.
She leaves a daughter, Yvonne Martinez Correa of Puerto Rico; a brother, Jose Correa Machin of Paris; a sister, Carmen Correa Machin of Florida; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A son, Jose Martinez, died in 1985. Born in Puerto Rico, daughter of Jose and Antonia (Machin) Correa, she lived many years in Worcester.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 9, in O'Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Ave. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. A calling hour is from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, April 9, in the funeral home.

WORCESTER --Ourannia “Ora” Voultsos of 754 Pleasant St., a former court stenographer and reporter, died Thursday, April 12, in the Lutheran Home after an illness.
She leaves four sisters, Georgia, Helen, Mary and Emily Voultsos, all of Worcester. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Charles and Efthimia (Loulis) Voultsos. She graduated a Horace Mann scholar from Commerce High School and from Worcester School of Business Science. She attended Winslow Secretarial School in Boston, Becker Junior College, and Fenner Stenotype School.
Ms. Voultsos worked in the City Treasurer's office, and was a court stenographer and reporter before retiring. She was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, and held memberships in several state and local organizations.
The funeral will be held Saturday, April 14, from Callahan Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., with a service at 10:30 a.m. in St. Spyridon's Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. WEST YARMOUTH -- Mary G. (Decenzo) Watier, 95, a resident of Mayflower Place and retired bank manager, died Wednesday, April 4, in a West Yarmouth nursing home after a long illness.
She leaves her husband of 43 years, Wilfred “Peter” Watier; three sisters, including Yola Marini of Leominster; two brothers, Tony and Peter Decenzo, both of Marlboro; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Her former husband, Joseph Pizzutti of Leominster, predeceased her. A son, a daughter, three sisters, and two brothers, also predeceased her. She was born in New York and moved to Cape Cod in 1971.
Mrs. Watier was a bank manager for Worcester Savings Bank before retiring. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, Hyannis, and enjoyed dancing.
The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 7, from Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main St., Hyannis, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Church, South Street, Hyannis. WORCESTER -- Genevieve B. (Barker) West, 80, of 2 Rice Lane, formerly of Maine, died Wednesday, April 4, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center after an illness.
Her husband, Lloyd N. West Sr., died in 1985. She leaves two sons, Lloyd N. West Jr. of Levant, Maine, and William H. West of Auburn; two daughters, Marie C. Nolan of Worcester and Geraldine L. West of Webster; two brothers, Donald F. Goodale of Levant and Frank W. Barker of Oxford; three sisters, Gail Robichaud of Levant, Madeline Gordon of Pennsylvania, and Carlene Hart of Bangor, Maine; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Born in Bangor, daughter of Frank W. and Madeline E. (Sprague) Barker, she moved to Worcester in October.
The funeral service will be at 5 p.m. Friday, April 6, in Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. Calling hours are 4 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m Friday, April 6, in the funeral home.

WOODSTOCK -- G. Alfred Wetherell, 88, of Prospect Street, East Woodstock, a retired dairy farmer, died Sunday, April 1, in Matulaitis Nursing Home, Putnam after an illness.
His wife of 52 years, Dorothy C. (Chapman) Wetherell, died in 1995. He leaves a son, George A. Wetherell of East Woodstock; a daughter, Holly A. Poh of East Woodstock; a brother, Presley Wetherell of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister, Constance Peshmalyan of South Woodstock; four grandchildren. He was born in East Woodstock, son of George A. and Flora S. (Steere) Wetherell, and graduated from Woodstock Academy in 1931.
Mr. Wetherell was a dairy farmer at Westview Farm many years, retiring in 1977.
He was a member of the East Woodstock Congregational Church, and was a life member and past fire chief at the Muddy Brook Fire Department.
Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. SOUTHBRIDGE -- Edward White, 29, of Hamilton Street, an auto body repairman, died Monday, April 9, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- University Campus, Worcester.
He leaves two sons, Jesse and Joey White, both of Southbridge; his father, Edward White of Southbridge; his mother, Donna (Reginbal) White of Charlton; a brother, David A. White of Southbridge; three sisters, Lucinda Way of Taftville, Conn., Karen Richards of Pomfret and Kimberly White of Hartford; his paternal grandmother, Ruth (Borgin) White of Auburn, formerly of Southbridge; his former wife, Kimberly (Creelman) White of Southbridge; nephews and nieces. A brother, Greg S. White, died in 1999. He was born in Southbridge.
Mr. White was a self-employed auto body repairman. He previously worked for Sturbridge Auto Body and Hillside Auto Body. He was a former member of Improved Order of Redmen. He enjoyed fishing, and restored antique cars.
The funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 12, in Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Burial will be private. GARDNER -- Joseph E. Williams, 95, of 59 Eastwood Circle, formerly of Monadnock Street, a retired furniture repairman, died Friday, April 6, in Leo P. LaChance Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing after an illness.
His wife of 36 years, Marie C. (LeBlanc) Williams, died in 1970. He leaves two daughters, Gloria M. Tousignant of Gardner and Janice A. Turski of the Baldwinville section of Templeton; a sister, Edith Lavery of Fitchburg; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, son of Maxime and Exelda (Cormier) Williams.
Mr. Williams was a furniture repairman 40 years for Heywood-Wakefield Co., retiring in 1971. He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, its League of Sacred Heart Society, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 747.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, April 10, from Boucher Funeral Home Inc., 110 Nichols St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St. Burial will be at a later date in Notre Dame Cemetery. Charles L.B. Wright, 52

PITTSFIELD -- Charles L.B. Wright, 52, of 217 Springside Ave., died Tuesday, April 3, in Berkshire Medical Center.
He leaves a son; a daughter; a sister; two brothers, including Robert J. Wright of Webster; his fiance, Lorraine L. Alden; four grandchildren; nephews and nieces; and his former wife, Mary (Galeucia) Wright. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and received a Bronze Star.
Mr. Wright was a salesman 14 years for Gifto's Brothers Wholesale Co. and was later a security guard at the Crane and Co. Government Plant, retiring because of disability in 1992.
He was a member of St. Agnes Church in Dalton and several veterans organizations.
The funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 6, in St. Agnes Church, Main Street, Dalton. Burial, with military honors, will be in Pittsfield Cemetery.
