UXBRIDGE -- Exilda R. (Rondeau) Morin, 93, of 175 West Hartford Ave., died Friday, April 6, in Milford Whitinsville Regional Hospital, Milford, after an illness.
Her husband, Wilfred D. Morin, died in 1961. She leaves two daughters, Shirley M. Maynard of Uxbridge, and Marion M. Carroll of Lancaster, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A son, Joseph Morin, died at birth. Fourteen brothers and sisters also predeceased her. Born in St.-Charles de Mandeville, Quebec, daughter of David and Marie Nafista (Lajoie) Rondeau, she was educated at the Presentation of Mary Academy, Quebec, and in the Uxbridge school system.
Mrs. Morin worked at the former Whitin Machine Works, Whitinsville, the Knolton Hat Shop, Upton, and many years at Beaumont Nursing Home, Northbridge.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Church and its former Ladies of St. Anne Society. She enjoyed clothing and hat design, gardening, travel, music and art. She also wrote poetry.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, April 10, from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Road, with a Mass at noon in Good Shepherd Church, 121 Linwood St., Linwood. Burial will be at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery, Granite Street. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 9, in the funeral home. Sophie M. Boris, 88

GARDNER -- Sophie M. (Kulis) Boris, 88, of 121 Barthel Ave., a retired weaver, died Friday, July 27, in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home after a long illness.
Her husband of 58 years, Zigmont Boris, died May 6. She leaves a daughter, Marilyn Rhodes of Gardner; a sister, Stephanie Staiger of the Turners Falls section of Montague; and four grandchildren. A brother, Chester J. Kulis of Holyoke, died in 1984. She was born in the Millers Falls section of Montague, daughter of Stanislaw and Rozalia (Murak) Kulis, and lived in Millers Falls until moving to Gardner in 1947. She attended Millers Falls schools.
Mrs. Boris was a weaver at Commonwealth Manufacturing Co. and American Fiber Co., retiring in 1974. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, its Holy Rosary Sodality, and Gardner Golden Age Club.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, July 31, from Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 358 Pleasant St. Burial will be in Our Lady Czestochowa Cemetery, Turners Falls. Sarah Mooradian, 96

NORTHBRIDGE -- Sarah (Deranian) Mooradian, 96, of 26 Elm St., Whitinsville, died Tuesday, June 5, in Beaumont Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center after an illness.
Her husband, Stephen Mooradian, died in 1950. She leaves two sons, Aram Mooradian of Danvers and Stephen R. Mooradian of Olean, N.Y.; a brother, Dicran Deranian of Holden; a sister, Rose Kirisjian of Miami; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; nephews and nieces. A son, Varoujian Mooradian, was killed in action in France during World War II in 1944. A sister, Akabi Arakelian of Uxbridge, died in 1971. She was born in Whitinsville, daughter of Jacob and Agnes (Sarkisian) Deranian, and lived here most of her life. She attended Northbridge schools.
Mrs. Mooradian was a member of Soorp Asdvadzadzin Armenian Apostolic Church, Whitinsville, and a former member of the American Red Cross.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 8, in Soorp Asdvadzadzin Armenian Apostolic Church, Church Street, Whitinsville. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Whitinsville. SPENCER -- Laurence Hawes, 51, of 36 Lincoln St., died Thursday, July 26, at home.
He leaves his wife, Mary E. (Nykiel) Hawes; his mother, Ziofie P. (Plezia) Hawes of East Brookfield; and a sister, Sandra A. Brickell of Cleveland, S.C. He was born in Ware, son of H. Bradford Hawes, and was raised in East Brookfield. He graduated from Kingsley Hall, Great Barrington, in 1967 and earned a bachelor's degree from Western New England College, Springfield.
Mr. Hawes worked 20 years at American Athletic Shoe, Ware, and the past eight years at Norton Co., Worcester.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, from Pillsbury Funeral Home, 163 Main St., with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 296 Main St., North Brookfield. DENNIS -- Eileen R. “Bunny” (Spencer) Lemoine, 56, of East Dennis, formerly of Worcester and Holden, died Monday, April 9, at home.
She leaves her husband, William E. Lemoine Jr.; a son, Douglas J. Lemoine of Dennis; her mother, Marjorie (Hammond) Spencer of Holden; a brother, A. John Spencer of Coventry, Conn.; a sister, Carolyn Ringgard of Holden; three stepsisters, Helen H. Farrell of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Victoria S. Farrell of Washington, D.C., and Sandra Farrell of Rockport; several grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Born in Worcester, she graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1962. She moved in 1974 to East Dennis.
Mrs. Lemoine worked 10 years as a secretary and bookkeeper for Worcester Envelope Company and 10 years for the former Glazer and Wilkins law firm, Hyannis. She then worked 18 years for the Sanders, Walsh and Eatop CPA firm, Chatham.
She enjoyed music, travel, camping, hiking, kayaking and biking. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, from the Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral Home, 729 Route 134, South Dennis, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Cape Church, Stoney Brook Road, West Brewster. AUBURN -- Joseph A. Kristo, 85, of 12 Pinehurst Ave., a veteran of World War II and retired police dispatcher, died in the St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center, Friday, June 1, after being stricken ill at home.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Alice (Mazeika) Kristo; a daughter, Dr. Janice V. Kristo of Orono, Maine; three brothers, Paul Kristo of Worcester, John Kristo of Charlton, and Anthony Krist of Seattle; three sisters, Victoria Daniel of Worcester, Dorothy Kamosky of Cherry Valley and Helen Faucher of Paxton; and several nephews and nieces. A brother, Benjamin Kristo of Auburn, died two months ago. Born in Worcester, son of Adam and Victoria (Baubliute) Kristopovich, he graduated from Commerce High School, Worcester, and attended Bentley School of Accounting, Boston. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving in Asia and the Pacific.
Mr. Kristo worked 31 years as a dispatcher for the Massachusetts State Police, Holden barracks, before retiring.He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Auburn, the Lithuanian Charitable Society, Shrewsbury, and the Retired State, County and Municipal Employees Association of Massachusetts.
A funeral will be held on Monday, June 4, from the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. WORCESTER -- William G. “Sonny” Johnson Jr., 78, formerly of 1060 Main St., a retired office worker, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, in Providence Extended Care Center.
He leaves two daughters, Kathleen M. Rawson of Spencer and Linda E. Spangenberg of Worcester; a son, Warren W. Johnson of Shrewsbury; two sisters, Thelma D'Amelio of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Marguerite Morin of Auburn; his former wife, Theresa C. (Morin) Johnson of Worcester; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and a nephew. A sister, Elizabeth Jones, and two grandsons predeceased him. He was born in Milford, son of William G. and Ethel L. (Chase) Johnson, and moved to Worcester in 1955. He graduated from Milford High School.
Mr. Johnson worked in the offices of C.K. Smith Co. and later for Grace Plumbing Supply Co. before retiring. For more than 20 years, he also loaded and delivered the Sunday Telegram.
The funeral service and burial in Vernon Grove Cemetery will be private. There are no public calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Residents Activity Fund, Providence Extended Care Center, 119 Providence St., Worcester, MA 01604; or to another charity. FITCHBURG -- Irene E. Goguen, 88, formerly of 138 Plymouth St., a retired assembler, died Thursday, Aug. 2, in Fairlawn Nursing Home.
She leaves two brothers, Arthur Goguen of Lady Lake, Fla., and William Goguen of Ashburnham; two sisters, Lorraine Gonyor and Doris Goguen, both of Leominster; nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, great-great-nephews and great-great-nieces. Two sisters, Aurelie Goguen and Natalie Burgholzer, both of Fitchburg, predeceased her. She was born in Fitchburg, daughter of Elzear and Malvina (Cote) Goguen.
For 36 years, Miss Goguen was an assembler for Independent Lock Co., retiring in 1976. She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish and the Castle Club at the Joseph House.
The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, in St. Joseph Church, 49 Woodland St. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, in Louis M. Isabelle Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St.

WORCESTER -- Vivian V. (Krakowski) Carlson, 84, of 835 Main St., died Monday, July 23, in SunBridge Care & Rehabilitation for Worcester, after an illness.
Her husband was the late Carl H. Carlstrom. She leaves a son, Kenneth Carlson of Worcester. Her first husband, Alfred Carlson, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Adam and Anna (Kiubiak) Krakowski, and attended Commerce High School.
Mrs. Carlson worked at the Youth Guidance Clinic before her retirement.
The funeral service will be held at the family's convenience. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 9 Hammond St., is directing arrangements.

OXFORD -- The funeral for George M. French, 87, of Howe Avenue, who died Saturday, June 16, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center, Worcester, after being stricken ill at home last week, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, in Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St.

He was treasurer of the Auburn Sportsmen's Club for more than 40 years.
His wife of 56 years, Rose (Proulx) French of Oxford, died in 1994. He leaves four daughters; four brothers; a sister; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; nephews and nieces.

Her husband, Lionel J. Bernard, died in 1974. She leaves four sons, Lionel J.N. Bernard of Millbury, James J. Bernard of Worcester, John J. Bernard of Groton, and Peter J. Bernard of Leominster; a daughter, Nancy M. Arbo of Lancaster; a brother, Donald Baril of Leominster; two sisters, Sister Marion Berry of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit of Putnam, and Cecile Hulecki of Leominster; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Two daughters, Jeanne and Paula Bernard, predeceased her. She was born in Chicopee, daughter of Nelson and Albertine (Morin) Berry.
Mrs. Bernard worked at E.I. Dupont Co., Miles Kedex, E.B. Kingman and Lockwood Plastics.
She was a member of St. Leo's Parish. She was an avid bingo player.

UXBRIDGE -- Paul N. Bernardini, 57, of 122 Linwood St., a former stone mason, died Tuesday, April 10, in Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital, Milford, after an illness.
He leaves three brothers, Mario Bernardini of Lodi, N.J., Mark Bernardini of Mahopac, N.Y., and Michael Bernardini of White Plains, N.Y.; three sisters, Marie Bernardini of Burbank, Calif., Christine Green of Linwood and Julia Bernardini of New York City; nephews and nieces. He was born in New York City, son of Mario and Aurora (Pischedda) Bernardini, and lived the past three years in Uxbridge. He graduated from Machine and Metal High School in New York.
Mr. Bernardini was a self-employed stone mason in the Bronx, N.Y. He enjoyed nature and art.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, in Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Road. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. SHREWSBURY -- Joan (Doherty) Besnia, 70, of 12 Golden Hill Ave., a retired secretary, died Thursday, April 12, in the Hospice Residence, Worcester, after an illness.
She leaves three sons, Paul E. Besnia of Stamford, Conn., Philip L. Besnia of Ormond Beach, Fla., and Kerry Besnia of Overland Park, Kan.; a daughter, Suzanne M. Besnia of St. Louis; and five grandchildren. She was born in New York City, daughter of Patrick and Joan (Cronin) Doherty, and lived here 35 years. She graduated from high school in New York City. She attended Hunter College, New York, and was a member of WISE, an adult education program at Assumption College, Worcester.
Mrs. Besnia was a secretary 13 years for Digital Equipment Co., retiring in 1993. She was a member of First Congregational Church, where she was a former deacon. She was a member of Opera Worcester; a volunteer for the Worcester Historical Society; and a reader for Audio Journal, a service for the blind.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14, in First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury, Church Road. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
