Agnes M. Hurley, 92

WORCESTER -- Agnes M. (McNamee) Hurley, 92, of 555 Plantation St., formerly of Schussler Road, died Sunday, Jan. 28, in the UMass Memorial Medical Center -- University Campus after being stricken ill at home.
Her husband of 37 years, T. Robert Hurley, died in 1974. She leaves two daughters, A. Ella Houlihan of Worcester and Ann Hurley Mayhew of Brookline; a sister, Dorothy A. Shea of Worcester; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Thomas F. and Elizabeth (Rooney) McNamee, and graduated from Classical High School.
Along with her husband, Mrs. Hurley owned and operated the Hurley Printery in Worcester for more than 20 years, retiring in 1974.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, its Women's Club, and its Leisure Club. She was a member of the Friday Afternoon Club, and a former member of the Guild of Our Lady of Providence. She was a volunteer at St. Vincent Hospital.
The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, in Notre Dame du Lac Chapel, 555 Plantation St. After cremation, burial in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester, will be private. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of Notre Dame Retirement Fund, 71 Elm St., Worcester, MA 01609 or a charity. The Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., is directing funeral arrangements.

Annie C. Iacaboni, 89

LEOMINSTER -- Annie C. (Celli) Iacaboni, 89, of 225 Seventh St., died Sunday, Feb. 4, in Keystone Nursing Home Leominster after a short illness.
Her husband of 49 years, Ernest Iacaboni, died in 1983. She leaves two sons, Anthony “Undaw” Iacaboni and Frank “Icaba” Iacaboni, both of Leominster; two brothers, Carl Celli of Leominster and Nunzio Celli of St. Petersburg; a sister, Eva Lanza of Leominster; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Two brothers, John and Anthony Celli, and two sisters, Josephine “Pep” DeCarolis and Chuzeedia “Checky” Celli, predeceased her. She was born in Leominster, daughter of Giacomo and Domenica (Tata) Celli.
Mrs. Iacaboni worked 19 years at the E.I. Dupont Co., and worked 26 years at the former Victory Button Co., retiring in 1973.
She was a member of St. Anna's Church, and was a former member of the Santa Maria and Columbo Hall Society, and the St. Anna's Society.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, Feb. 7, from Brandon-Simard Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Anna's Church, 194 Lancaster St. Burial will be in St. Leo's Cemetery. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, in the funeral home. Dorothy L. Jansa, 90

WORCESTER -- Dorothy L. (Walsh) Jansa, 90, formerly of 521 Pleasant St., died Monday, Feb. 5, in Olympus Specialty Hospital, Springfield.
Her husband, Joseph F. Jansa, died in 1959. She leaves a son, Michael J. Jansa of Charlton; two daughters, Dorothy Jansa and Jo-Anne Servant, both of Worcester; a sister, Elizabeth Pettis of Webster; five grandchildren; a great-grandson; nephews and nieces. She was born in Natick, daughter of Michael P. and Delia (Glynn) Walsh, and lived most of her life in Worcester.
Mrs. Jansa was a homemaker. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church.
The funeral will be held Thursday, Feb. 8, from Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. A calling period is from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, in the funeral home. Joseph F. Jeamel, 87

WORCESTER -- Joseph F. Jeamel, 87, of 50 Shrewsbury St., a World War II veteran and retired manager, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, in the Life Care Center of Auburn after a brief illness.
His wife, Nellie (Abdella) Jeamel, died in 1996. He leaves a son, Joseph F. Jeamel Jr. of Connecticut; two daughters, Lucey A. O'Malley of Sturbridge and Elaine F. Fournier of Worcester; three sisters, Helen Larosa and Mary Nolin, both of Utica, N.Y. and Frances Wolland of Chicago; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Utica, son of Michael and Ann (Joseph) Jeamel, and moved to Worcester many years ago. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Jeamel was a manager many years at Thompson Steel and Wire Co. He also owned and operated a cab company many years.
He was a longtime member of the East Side Improvement Club and the Mount Carmel Apartment Association.
The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, in the Garden Chapel of Arthur S. Manzi & Son Funeral Home, 179 Shrewsbury St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, in the chapel.

HUDSON -- Lillian E. (Carruthers) Jenkins, 91, formerly of Hudson, a retired nurse, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, in Bolton Manor, Marlboro.
Her husband, Bert B. Jenkins, died in 1977. She leaves two daughters, Shirley Ferro and Lillian Tosti, both of South Yarmouth; two sons, Wayne and Bert Jenkins; two brothers, Francis and Albert Carruthers, both of Worcester; a sister, Edith Carruthers of Worcester; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was born in Lynn, daughter of Walter and Lotti (Eye) Carruthers.
Mrs. Jenkins was a licensed practical nurse at Westboro State Hospital before retiring.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9, in Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St. Burial will be in Forestvale Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, in the funeral home.

WORCESTER -- Eleanor T. (Mangano) Johnson, 84, of 417 Shrewsbury St., a retired hospital worker, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- Memorial Campus, after an illness.
Her husband, Eno L. Johnson, died in 1980. She leaves a son, William E. Johnson of Millbury; three brothers, Louis Mangano of Worcester, William Mangano of Holden and James Mangano of Andover; two sisters, Anna Belculfine and Rose Boucher, both of Worcester; two granddaughters; nephews and nieces. Three brothers, Nunzio, Virginio and James Mangano, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Angelo and Josephine (Romano) Mangano, and attended Worcester public schools.
Mrs. Johnson was a patient aide for more than 13 years at Worcester State Hospital, retiring in 1981. Previously, she was a sample controller for seven years at DiPierro Plastics, Shrewsbury. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and its Golden Years Club; the Beato Angelo Society; and the Retired State, County and Municipal Employees Association.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 27, from Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, in the funeral home.

WORCESTER -- Jeanne M. (Bergman) Jolicoeur, 62, of 15 Grenada St., died Saturday, Jan. 27, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- Memorial Campus after being stricken ill at home.
She leaves her husband, Richard J. Jolicoeur; a son, John Walls of Worcester; three daughters, Elizabeth Thorin and Patricia Miles, both of Worcester, and Jean Keddy of Wayne, Maine; three sisters, Anna Howard of Holden, Nancy Smrz of Bowe, Md., and Edna Kaylani of Rochester, N.Y.; two grandsons; nephews and nieces. She was born in Milan, Italy, daughter of John and Amalia (Gianantonio) Bergman, and lived most of her life in Worcester. She graduated from South High School.
Mrs. Jolicoeur worked 18 years at Becker College, retiring last year.
She was a member of Christ the King Church, and was an avid camper.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, Jan. 31, from Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. LANCASTER -- Christine M. (Lamb) Jones, 82, of 159 Old Common Road, died Monday, Jan. 29, in Bolton Manor Nursing Home, Marlboro, after an illness.
Her husband, Bruce T. Jones, died in 1984. She leaves a son, Paul G. Jones of Fitchburg; two daughters, Nancy M. Williams of Leominster and Judith A. Evans of Lancaster; two brothers, Charles Lamb of Long Beach, Calif. and William Lamb of Clinton; a sister, Julia Range of Granite City, Ill.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, John and Allen Lamb, predeceased her. She was born in Newton Center, daughter of Charles and Marie (McDonald) Lamb, and lived most of her life in Lancaster.
Mrs. Jones was a cook 28 years at Bob's Turkey Farm, retiring in 1992. She previously worked in the office of Dr. Ivan Fraser, and also worked at Stower's Clothing Store of Clinton.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, and was active 40 years in a local bridge club. She enjoyed crafts, and made gifts.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Feb. 3, from Robert J. McNally Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton, with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Main Street. Burial will be in Eastwood Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, in the funeral home. HOLDEN -- Ruth E. (Froggart) Anderson Jones, 95, formerly of 46 Fairview Ave., died Friday, Feb. 2, in Holden Nursing Home.
Her husband, Donald R. Jones, died in 1975. She leaves a son, Walter A. Anderson of Yarmouth, Maine; a daughter, Joan M. Dunphy of Holden; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Her first husband, A. Walter Anderson, died in 1933. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Edward and Emma (Harlow) Froggart. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester.
Mrs. Jones worked for Sawyer Lumber Co. in Worcester. She was a member of Adams Square Congregational Church, Worcester.
The graveside service will be held in the spring in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. WORCESTER -- Florena B. (Wilson) Joppas, 77, of 64 Ward St., died Saturday, Feb. 3, in Providence Extended Care Center after an illness.
Her husband, John H. Joppas, died in November. She leaves six sons, John H. Joppas Jr., Randy, William, and Timothy Joppas, all of Worcester, Carl Joppas of Webster, and Gary Joppas of Clinton; three daughters, Linda R. Konisky of Millbury, Karen L. Stepien of West Boylston, and Deborah K. Grebel of Worcester; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A daughter, Julie A. McAdam of Worcester, died in 1999. She was born in Charlton, daughter of Frank E. and Celina (Christian) Wilson.
She enjoyed bingo.
