Delina M. Benjamin, 85

THOMPSON -- Delina M. (Choiniere) Benjamin, 85, formerly of Gladys Green Apartments, 500 Riverside Drive, North Grosvenordale section of Thompson, a retired inspector, died Thursday, Jan. 25, at Roncalli Health Center, Danielson, Conn., after an illness.
Her husband, Adrien Benjamin, died in 1963. She leaves a son, Dennis Benjamin of Key West, Fla.; a daughter, Judith Joslin of Putnam; and a sister, Malvina Berger of North Grosvenordale. She was born in North Grosvenordale, daughter of Jean B. and Corinne (Marion) Choiniere, and lived here most of her life.
Mrs. Benjamin was an inspector of eye glass frames for the American Optical Co., Southbridge, for 12 years, retiring in 1978. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Veterans of Foreign Post 10088 Auxiliary, Oscar W. Swanson Post 67, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Ladies of St. Anne Society, the Golden Harvest Senior Citizens Group and the RSVP, all in Thompson.
The funeral will be held Monday, Jan. 29, from Valade Funeral Home, 23 Main St., with a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 18 Main St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Church. Calling hours are 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at the funeral home. Harold L. Benson, 73

SEMINOLE, Fla. -- Harold L. Benson, 73, of Seminole, formerly of Millbury, Mass., and Worcester, Mass., died Jan. 28 at home.
He leaves two daughters, Wendy Benson of Winter Park and Pamela Freeman of St. Petersburg; two sons, Stephen Benson of Boone, N.C. and Paul Benson of Ocklawaha; a sister, Bette Suliman, Auburn, Mass.; five grandsons. He was born in Millbury, and moved to Florida from Worcester in 1956. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Benson was a roofing consultant before retiring.
There are no local services planned. National Cremation Society, 5544 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, is directing arrangements.
Sister Gertrude Bercier

PETERSHAM -- Sister Gertrude Bercier, 90, with the Sisters of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin, North Main Street, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, in the Assumption Residence infirmary after a long illness.
She leaves a sister, Sister Therese Bercier of the Assumption Residence; nephews and nieces; grandnephews and grandnieces. A brother, Gerard Bercier, died in 1984. She was born in Newburyport, daughter of George and Claudia (Levesque) Bercier, and was raised in Salem. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy. She was formerly known as Sister Helene-de-la-Providence and professed 70 years of religious vows.
She taught 38 years at the junior high level in parish schools staffed by the Sisters of the Assumption, mainly in Lowell, Glens Falls, N.Y., Meriden, Conn., and Trois-Rivieres, Quebec. She was also a school librarian for 16 years, a librarian aide and receptionist at Maria Assumpta Academy, and a librarian at the Assumption Juniorate.
The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9, in the Assumption Residence Chapel, North Main Street. Burial will be in East Street Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at the Assumption Residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sisters of the Assumption Retirement Fund, North Main Street, Petersham, MA 01366. J. Louise E. Beth

WORCESTER -- Louise E. (Svenson) Beth, 85, of 7 Briarwood Circle, died Thursday, Jan. 25, in Knollwood Nursing Home.
She leaves her husband of 63 years, Walter F. Beth; two sons, Henry W. Beth of Holden and Walter A. Beth of Worcester; a daughter, Marie L. Smith of New Hope, Pa.; and three grandchildren. She was born in Worcester, daughter of A. William and Ellen M. (Lindstrom) Svenson, and lived many years in Holden before returning to Worcester. She graduated from North High School and attended Boston University.
Mrs. Beth was a member of First Unitarian Church, Worcester Woman's Club, and Wittenagemot.
A private funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29, in Caswell-King Funeral Home, 1147 Main St., Holden. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Unitarian Church, 90 Main St., Worcester, MA 01608.
Norman Billingham, 71

GARDNER -- Norman W. Billingham, 71, of 47 Lake St., a former papermaker, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, in Heywood Hospital, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 47 years, Lorraine E. (Leger) Billingham; a son, James E. Billingham of Athol; a daughter, Susan M. Stocks of Andover; four grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Born in Fitchburg, son of William and Emily (King) Billingham, he graduated in 1947 from Fitchburg High School, and lived in Leominster until moving four years ago to Gardner.
Mr. Billingham worked 30 years as a papermaker for the former Weyerhauser Paper Co., Fitchburg, retiring in 1986.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Church. From 1947 to 1957, he was an active member of the Kingsman Drum and Bugle Corps. He was also a member of several church choruses, including the Shores Choral.
The funeral will be held Thursday, Feb. 8, from the Lavery-Chartrand Funeral Home, 99 Summer St., Fitchburg, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 46 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery, Fitchburg, will be at a later date. A calling hour is 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at the funeral home. WORCESTER -- Rosemary Bisceglia, 52, of 50 Shrewsbury St., a hospital records worker, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center, after an illness.
She leaves her mother, Domenica “Minnie” (Ciampaglia) Bisceglia of Worcester; a brother, Michael F. Bisceglia Jr. of Worcester; and two nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Michael F. Bisceglia Sr.
Ms. Bisceglia worked nine years for the medical records department of Hahnemann Hospital. She also volunteered at St. Vincent Hospital. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 27, from Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Eleanora B. Bizzarri, 81

LEOMINSTER -- Eleanora B. Bizzarri, 81, of 38 Cross St., a retired nurse, died Friday, Feb. 2, at home, after being stricken ill.
She leaves a niece, Jane H. Schaffer of York, Maine; a grandnephew and grandniece. Her brother, Hector A. Bizzarri, died in 1986. She was born in Leominster, daughter of Hector S. and Evelyn (Faticanti) Bizzarri. She graduated from Leominster High School and from the Leominster Hospital School of Nursing.
Miss Bizzarri was a registered nurse at the former E.I. Dupont Co., retiring several years ago. She previously worked in the office of Dr. Charles Cronin. She was a member of St. Anna's Church.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, Feb. 6, from Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West St., with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Anna's Church, 194 Lancaster St. Burial will be at a later date in St. Leo's Cemetery. HYANNIS -- Nancy (Keeton) Shaw Blasetti, 49, of Hyannis, formerly of Worcester, a retired vice-president of a Cape Cod bank, died Sunday, Feb. 4, at her home.
She leaves her husband, William Blasetti; her mother, Annette (Ethier) Keeton; a brother, John Keeton of Shrewsbury; and two nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of John Keeton. She graduated from Burncoat High School, the University of Massachusetts in 1973, MassBankers School of Banking in 1979, the National School of Finance and Management in 1987 and many other various bank courses and programs.
Mrs. Blasetti was the vice-president of human resources and an officer of the Cape Cod Five Cent Savings Bank. She was a member of Bankers Professional Network, the Savings Bank Human Resources Association and the Cape Cod Ski Club. She was a director of Harwich Big Brothers/Big Sisters, vice-chairman of the Brewster Finance Committee.
A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at Our Lady of Victory Church, Centerville. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Centerville. WORCESTER -- Elsa I. (Johnson) Bordin, 97, formerly of 8 Ericsson St., died Monday, Jan. 22, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- Memorial Campus.
Her husband, Victor J. Bordin, died in 1977. A brother, Sidney Johnson, died in 1974. A sister, Gladys Johnson, died in 1990. She was born in Worcester, daughter of John and Selma (Anderson) Johnson, and attended Worcester schools.
Mrs. Bordin was an office worker 27 years for Norton Co., retiring in 1952.
She was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Norton Women's 25-year Club.
There are no funeral services planned. Burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinity Endowment Fund, 73 Lancaster St., Worcester, MA 01609.

Her husband, Victor J. Brodin, died in 1977. She leaves a grandnephew, two grandnieces, and a great-grandnephew. A brother, Sidney Johnson, died in 1974. A sister, Gladys Johnson, died in 1990. Violet Shilinsky-Braley

WORCESTER -- Violet (Wood) Shilinsky-Braley, 85, formerly of North Grafton and Briarwood Retirement Community, a retired press operator, died Friday, Jan. 26, in Jewish Healthcare Center.
She leaves her husband, John “Bill” Braley; three sons, Joseph Shilinsky of Webster, Paul Shilinsky of Reno, Nev., and Robert Shilinsky of Grafton; a daughter, Elaine Casey of Grafton; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Her first husband, Joseph Shilinsky, died in 1973. A son, Richard Shilinsky, of California, died in 1972. Three brothers and three sisters also predeceased her. She was born and raised in Malone, N.Y., daughter of Henry C. and Aliza (Hamel) Wood, and moved to Worcester around 1930. She then lived 15 years in North Grafton and several years in the Whitinsville section of Northbridge before returning to Worcester.
Mrs. Shilinsky-Braley was a press operator more than 25 years at Washburn Tool Co., Worcester, retiring in 1970.
The funeral service will be private. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity. Robert C. Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton, is directing arrangements.
Sister Brassard

PETERSHAM -- Sister Gabrielle Brassard, 99, formerly known as Sister Joseph-des-Anges, of the sisters of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, North Main St., died Friday, Jan. 26, at the Infirmary of Assumption Residence.
She leaves nephews and nieces. She was born in Lowell, daughter of Philemon and Sarah (Gaillardet) Brassard, and also lived in Leominster. She studied at Haileybury Academy and at the Normal School of the University of Ottawa. She obtained a first class permanent teaching certificate from Toronto.
Sister Brassard taught from 1924 to 1968 at the primary and intermediate grades mostly in North Bay and Timmins, both in Ontario. She also served in the mining towns of Cobolt, North Cobolt, Cochrane and Kirkland Lake. She retired from teaching in 1970. She then transferred to the American Province, where she spent time doing community services, crafts and as prayer minister. She professed 76 years of religious vows.
The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29, in the chapel of the Assumption Residence, North Main Street. Burial will be in East Street Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at the Assumption Residence. David T. Brennan, 46

MILFORD -- David T. Brennan, 46, of 35 Oliver St., died Sunday, Feb. 4, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- Univeristy Campus, Worcester, after a short illness.
He leaves his wife, Elaine (Pagucci) Brennan; his mother, Grace (Fino) Brennan of Milford; a stepdaughter, Sherry Galvin of Milford; two brothers, Edward Brennan of Greenville, N.H. and John Brennan of Milford; a stepgrandson; many nieces and nephews. A sister, Kathleen Brennan, predeceased him. He was born in Milford, son of John Brennan, and attended Milford schools.
Mr. Brennan was a truck driver for the Tracey Trucking Co. in Lincoln.
He was a member of St. Mary's of the Assumption Church.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, from Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary's of the Assumption Church, Winter Street.
