DUDLEY -- I. Henry Easterbrooks, 81, of 55 Dudley-Oxford Road, a farm owner and operator, died Thursday, Aug. 2, in Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge, after a long illness.
His wife of 51 years, Virginia (Dostal) Easterbrooks, died in 1993. He leaves two daughters, Jean Ann Easterbrooks of Dudley and Bonnie S. Easterbrooks of Dayton, Ohio; a brother, Dr. H. Lincoln Easterbrooks of Georgia; and two grandchildren. He was born in Webster, son of I. Harold and Anne V. (Berggren) Easterbrooks. He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1934 and attended Pennsylvania State University.
Mr. Easterbrooks and his wife owned and operated Evergreen Farm, where the raised sheep and manufactured wool clothing. He was a member of the Massachusetts Wool Board, the New England Sheep and Wool Growers Association, and the Massachusetts Board of Agriculture. He was a former member of the Grass Root Tours. He was active with the 4-H Club and was an exhibitor at the Big E, Springfield, Woodstock Fair, and fairs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Maryland. He enjoyed traveling.
The memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, in Robert J. Miller Funeral Home and Lake Chapel, 366 School St., Webster. Burial will be private in Corbin Cemetery. Paul L. Bryant, 63

MARSHFIELD -- Paul L. Bryant, 63, of Marshfield and Sutton, a master goldsmith and jewelry designer, died Friday, April 6, of injuries sustained in an accident.
He leaves his wife of 37 years, Elaine A. (Edberg) Bryant; two daughters, Rebecca L. Bryant of El Cerrito, Calif. and Meredith J. Bryant of San Francisco; two sons, Kenneth W. Bryant of Plympton and Herbert L. Bryant of Marshfield; and two granddaughters. He was born in Malden. He graduated from Lynn English High School, then served in the Air Force. He later studied at the Boston Museum School and was awarded a year's travel scholarship in Europe by the Museum of Fine Arts.
Mr. Bryant was a goldsmith. He was active Boy Scout leadership. He was on the board of directors of the United Fly Tyers Inc. He was a member of First Parish Church, Duxbury, and enjoyed singing in the choir.

WESTBORO -- Anna L. (Eberts) Griesemer, 76, of 63 Ruggles St., formerly of Allentown, Pa., died Friday, Jan. 19, in the Hospice Residence, Worcester, after an illness.
Her husband, R. Dix Griesemer, predeceased her. She leaves a son, Owen C. Griesemer of Salt Lake City; a daughter, Marjorie A. Peairs of Westboro; two brothers, Richard K. Eberts Sr. of Chestertown, Md., and C. Thomas Eberts of Larkspur, Colo.; three grandchildren. She was born in Bethlehem, daughter of Charles T. and Helen M. (Kistler) Eberts, and graduated from Liberty High School in Bethlehem and Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa., where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, ETA Chapter.
In the early 1980s, she was personal secretary to Gen. Harold K. Johnson, director of Education and Americanism for the Supreme Council of the Scottish Rite in Washington, D.C. After college, she worked for RCA International Division in Philadelphia, Pa., as a correspondent and publicity writer for the advertising department. In the 1950s, she became a staff writer for the New York public relations firm of Elser and Cothran. She was later a secretary.
She was most recently a member of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church in Allentown, Pa.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, in St. Timothy's Lutheran Church in Allentown. A memorial service will be held in Evangelical Congregational Church in Westboro at a later date. There are no calling hours. Interment will be in Nisky Hill Cemetery in Bethlehem. Delight G. Haines, 82, retired head librarian
PETERSHAM -- Delight G. (Gale) Haines, 82, of Petersham, a retired head librarian, died Thursday, Jan. 18, at her daughter's home in Mattapoisett.
Her husband, Donald F. Haines, predeceased her. She leaves a son, Patrick Haines of Las Cruces, N.M.; a daughter, Frances Oliveira of Mattapoisett; two brothers, George O. Gale of Prescott, Ariz., and Phillip S. Gale of Rockville, Conn.; and a grandson. A sister, Florence Gale, predeceased her. She was born in Spencer, daughter of George B. Gale and Edith (Osgood) Gale, and had lived in Petersham most of her life.
Mrs. Haines was the head librarian of the Petersham Town Library for 35 years, before retiring last year. She was a longtime member of the First Parish Unitarian Church of Petersham, a member of the church house committee for many years and taught Sunday School for several years in the 1960's.
She was the curator of the Petersham Historical Society, a member of the Petersham Branch Alliance, the Historic District Commission, the Cemetery Commission and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Petersham School Committee for more than 40 years, serving as its chairperson for a period of time. She was also a member of the Mahar Regional School Committee for many years.

NAPLES, Fla. -- Mary Ann (Habgood) Harrington of Naples, formerly of Worcester and Falmouth, Mass., died Thursday, Jan. 18, in a Naples nursing home.
Her husband, Robert D. Harrington Sr., died in 1982. She leaves a son, Stuart H. Montgomery of Naples; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a nephew and a niece. She was born in Bradford, Pa., daughter of Robert P. and Mary Ann Habgood, and lived in Worcester and Falmouth before moving to Naples in 1970. She graduated from Bradford (Pa.) High School, attended Fairmont Junior College in Washington, D.C., and Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and graduated from Katherine Gibbs School, Boston.
Mrs. Harrington was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was a former deacon and a member of the Chancel Choir. She was active in organizations in Florida and Massachusetts.
The memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, in Hodges Funeral Chapel, 3520 Tamiami Trail North, Naples. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made to Luvs Youth Haven, PO Box 7007, Naples, FL 34104.

FITCHBURG -- Frederick N. Howe, 86, of 16 Prospect St., a retired glass blower, died Sunday, Jan. 21, in HealthAlliance Hospital, Leominster, after an illness.
He leaves a brother, Richard Howe of New Port Richey, Fla.; three nephews, Terrance and William Reilly, both of Birmingham, N.Y. and Thomas Reilly of New York, N.Y.; and a niece, Jane Cartmill of San Diego, Calif. He was born in Geneva, New York, son of William A. and Mary (Tracey) Howe and lived in Elmira, N.Y., for many years, before moving to Fitchburg 20 years ago. He was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy, New York, in 1931 and from Assumption College, Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
Mr. Howe was a glass blower for Corning Glass Works, Elmira, for 20 years, before retiring in 1973. He attended St. Bernard's Church.
A memorial Mass will be held at St. Bernard's Church, 228 Water St., at a later date. Burial will be in Ancient Cemetery, Yarmouth. There are no calling hours. The Lavery-Chartrand Funeral Home, 99 Summer St., is directing arrangements.
Miriam S. Jepson, 95

MILFORD, N.H. -- Miriam S. (Smith) Jepson, 95, of Milford, died Friday, Jan. 19, in Harborside Healthcare Center-Crestwood in Milford.
She leaves three sons, including Charles D. Jepson of Ashburnham, Mass.; a daughter; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.
Mrs. Jepson was prominent in town affairs, and was a member of several area clubs and societies. She received several town awards, and wrote for the Nashua Telegraph for more than 30 years.
The funeral service will be held at noon Thursday, Jan. 25, in the Church of Our Saviour, Amherst Street. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Brookline. ONTARIO, Calif. -- Ruth (Beahn) Gonyea, 41, of 1632 South Palm Ave., formerly of Worcester, Mass., died Wednesday, Jan. 24, from injuries suffered in a car accident in Temecula. Her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur and Faith Gonyea, also formerly of Worcester, also died in the accident.
She leaves her husband, Frank Gonyea; three sons, Robert Marment Jr., Justin and Frankie Gonyea, all of Ontario; a daughter, Tara Marment of Ontario; her parents, Joseph and Maryann Beahn of Worcester; two brothers, Joseph Beahn Jr. of Southbridge, Mass., and Robert Beahn of Worcester; three sisters, Lida Sawyer of Worcester, Maryann Beahn of Snowhill, S.C., and Kathy Curtis of Conway, S.C.; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester and moved to California in 1986.
Mrs. Gonyea was a housewife.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Feb. 3, from Richardson-Peterson Chapel, 123 West G Street, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 877 North Campus Ave., Upland. ONTARIO, Calif. -- Arthur C. Gonyea, 57, and Faith (Mero) Gonyea, 54, of 1632 South Palm Ave., formerly of Worcester, Mass., both died Wednesday, Jan. 24, from injuries suffered in an autombile accident in Temecula. Their daughter-in-law, Ruth Gonyea, also formerly of Worcester, died in the accident as well.
They leave three sons, Kenneth, Frank and Arthur Gonyea, all of California; a daughter, Dawn Gonyea Fierro of California; nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gonyea leaves his mother, Iola Dupont of Worcester; three brothers, Gerald Trombly of Oxford, Mass., Steven J., and Michael W. Trombly, both of Worcester; a sister, Dianne Hourihan of Hopkinton, Mass.; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester.
Mrs. Gonyea leaves four sisters, Chrerist Parker of Worcester, Michelena Stephens of Chino, Hope Labonte of Boylston and Candice Carlson of Worcester. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Leo C. and Alberta (Simpson) Mero.
The Gonyeas moved to Ontario in 1977.
Mr. Gonyea worked at Apace Moving Systems in Fullerton. Mrs. Gonyea worked at Quality One Inc.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Feb. 3, from Richardson Peterson Chapel, 123 West G St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 877 North Campus Ave., Upland. WEBSTER -- Sean A. Kolton, 23, of 610 Beacon Park, an electrical worker, died Sunday, Jan. 28, at home after an illness.
He leaves his mother, Pamela (Booth) Kolton of Webster; his father, Stephen Kolton of Holden; a brother, Shane Kolton of Chicago; a sister, Kayla Kolton of Webster; his maternal grandparents, Royal and Esther (Jerzak) Booth of Auburn; and his paternal grandmother, Nellie Dupell of North Brookfield. He was born in Worcester and was raised in Webster. He attended Bartlett High School and Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School, Charlton.
Mr. Kolton was an electrician's assistant at DiLeo Electrical Contractor Inc., Worcester. He was briefly a brick and stone layer, and aspired to be a stonemason. He was an accomplished baseball player, and played in Webster and Grafton all-star leagues. He collected baseball cards.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, in Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, in the funeral home.

SOUTHBRIDGE -- Irene A. (Burda) Tavernier, 71, of 30 Village Drive, died Monday, Jan. 29, in Harrington Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
She leaves her husband of 49 years, Laurence A. “Lefty” Tavernier; two sons, Ronald Tavernier of Chesapeake, Va. and James Tavernier of Palmer; two daughters, Marcia Casault of Oakham and Amy Tavernier of Southbridge; a brother, Felix Burda of Southbridge; a sister, Gladys Mercier of Athens, Maine; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; nieces and nephews. She was born in Southbridge, daughter of Felix and Jennie (Laferriere) Burday.
Mrs. Tavernier worked more than 20 years at Ames Department Store, retiring many years ago.
She volunteered at Providence House Nursing Home, Meals on Wheels, and the Tri County Food Share.
The memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, in St. Mary's Church, 263 Hamilton St. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. UXBRIDGE -- Bernadette S. (Coelho) Akeley, 54, of Calumet Court, a plastic molder, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, in Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital, Milford.
Her husband, Waldo D. Akeley Jr., died in 1986. She leaves two daughters, Ellen M. Hudson of Mendon and Sharon B. Boucher of South Grafton; four sons, Carl E. Akeley of Ohio, Kirk D. Akeley of Linwood, Ansel D. Akeley of Connecticut and Jonathan C. Akeley of Woonsocket, R.I.; five brothers; six sisters; and nine grandchildren. A daughter, Dorothy S. Akeley of Uxbridge, died in 1965. A sister also predeceased her. She was born in Bristol, R.I., daughter of John and Mary (Pacheo) Coelho, and moved to Uxbridge in 1964. She attended Bristol schools.
Mrs. Akeley was a plastic molder 12 years for Tupperware Co., Blackstone and Grafton. She also worked for Knowlton Manor Nursing Home, Upton. She was a member of Franklin and Milford Counseling Associates.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, in Buma Funeral Home, 101 North Main St. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, in the funeral home.
Wilbur A. Almstrom, 85, veteran of World War II

WEST BOYLSTON -- Wilbur A. “Reggie” Almstrom, 85, of 241 Laurel St., Oakdale section of West Boyslton, a former business owner and a veteran of World War II, died Thursday, Feb. 1, in Oakdale Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Ethel M. (Brackett) Almstrom; a son, Wayne S. Almstrom of West Boylston; a daughter, Nancy A. Barakian of West Boylston; a brother, Russell A. Almstrom Sr. of West Boylston; three sisters, Ruth Almstrom of Meredith, N.H., Doris Noyes of West Boylston and Gladys Noyes of Northboro; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Three brothers, George Almstrom of Holden, Howard Almstrom of West Boylston and Chester Almstrom of Auburn, and a sister, Alice Hellstrom of West Boylston, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Ragnor and Agnes (Stevens) Almstrom, and graduated from Commerce High School, Worcester. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Almstrom worked 38 years for Cincinnati Milacron/Heald Machine Division, retiring in 1979. He also owned and operated Reggie's Appliances, Oakdale. He was a member of Oakdale United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of the Odd Fellows, a life member of Worcester West Forest Wardens Association, and a member of the West Boylston Firefighters Association and Post 204 American Legion. He was a volunteer captain for the West Boylston Fire Department, and served on the department for 35 years. As a young man he played semi-pro baseball in Worcester.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, in Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St. Spring burial will be in High Plains Cemetery, Oakdale. Calling hours are 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, in the funeral home.
