PALM HARBOR, Fla. -- Helen L. (Doslea) Porter, 84, of Palm Harbor, formerly of Spencer, Mass., died Wednesday, Aug. 9, in Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital, Tarpon Springs.
Her husband, Clifford S. Porter, died in 1984. She leaves a son, Clifford T. Porter of Westerville, Ohio; a daughter, Patricia Streeter of Palm Harbor; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Mrs. Porter was a seamstress.
No funeral service is planned. There are no calling hours. Moss Feaster Funeral Home, Palm Harbor Chapel, 2550 Highlands Boulevard, North, is directing arrangements.
Beverly Wood, 80

NORTHBORO -- Beverly (Crawford) Wood, 80, of 9 Park St. and of Harpswell, Maine, formerly of Framingham, died Monday, April 2, in Marlboro Hospital, after a long illness.
Her husband, Hayden R. Wood, died in 1988. She leaves two sons, Hayden R. Wood Jr. of Framingham and Harris E. Wood II of Simi Valley, Calif.; two daughters, Susan W. Maher of Northboro, with whom she lived, and Jane Motyl-Szary of Westboro; a sister, Audrey Keough of South Weymouth; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Dorchester, daughter of Gordon and Louise (Hurtley) Crawford, and lived 50 years in Framingham before moving to Northboro in 1996. She graduated from North Quincy High School in 1938, and attended Burdett Business School in Boston.
Mrs. Wood was a member of Plymouth Church in Framingham.
The funeral service will be private. Burial will be in Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SMOC (South Middlesex Opportunity Council) Elderly Nutrition Program, 300 Howard St., Framingham, MA 01702.
Peter P. Mendala Sr.

SPENCER -- Peter P. Mendala Sr., 54, of 126 Main St., a machinist, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, at home after a long illness.
He leaves two sons, Timothy Mendala of Holland and Peter Mendala Jr. of Spencer; three brothers, Edwin Mendala of Brimfield, and Francis and William Mendala, both of North Brookfield; three sisters, Margaret Mitchell of North Brookfield, Mary Ann Heyes of South Barre, and Dorothy Richert of Oxford; two granddaughters. He was born in Ware, son of Francis J. and Mary H. (Kulas) Mendala.
Mr. Mendala was a machinist many years at Optivac in North Brookfield.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Church in North Brookfield. He was a guitarist for local bands, including the Korn Kobs, Country Living and Joey D. & The New England Country Boys. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a farmer by trade.
The memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 44 Gilbert St., North Brookfield. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Central Mass., 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
Nancy A. Jodrey, 71

STURBRIDGE -- Nancy A. Jodrey, 71, of Hillside Drive, a retired teacher, died Thursday, August 3, at Lancashire Nursing Home in Kilmarnock, Virgina.
She leaves a brother, Allan H. Jodrey of White Stone, Virgina; a nephew, David Jodrey; two nieces, Janet Roberts and Patricia Leupen. She was born in Southbridge, daughter of Wallace and Myrtle (Blanchard) Jodrey and lived in the area all her life. She graduated from UMass Amherst.
Miss Jodrey was a teacher at Oxford High School for many years, retiring in 1990. After her retirement, she worked for the Admission Department at Old Sturbridge Village until 1999. Miss Jodrey was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Sturbridge, where she was a Deacon, past treasurer and collector. She belonged to the church's Women's Fellowship and was active in church activities. She was a member of the Massachusetts Teachers' Association.
She had a large collection of post cards and enjoyed photography.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August, 8, in the Central Baptist Church, 256 Main St., Southbridge. WORCESTER -- Helen M. (Lynch) Kamandulis, 86, formerly of Pleasant Park Tower, a retired shipper-receiver, died Saturday, Aug. 12, in Holy Trinity Nursing Center.
She leaves a nephew, Francis E. Lynch of Worcester. She was born in Monson, daughter of Joseph and Mary (McMahon) Lynch, and lived here most of her life. She was educated in Worcester Schools.
Mrs. Kamandulis was a shipper-receiver more than 20 years for RJ Toomey Co., retiring in 1978.

Ralph T. Keeney, 89

BOURNE -- Ralph T. Keeney, 89, of 8 Spinnaker Lane, formerly of Gardner, a retired engineer, died Thursday, Aug. 10, in JML Care Center.
He leaves his wife, Alice W. (Dunning) Keeney; a son, Robert R. Keeney of Southwick; two brothers, Howard Keeney of Leominster and Richard Keeney of Gardner; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A sister, Ruth C. Dobson, died before him. He was born in Wakefield, son of Howard R. and Marian Keeney, and lived in Gardner before moving to Arlington and later Pocasset and Bourne.
Mr. Keeney was an industrial engineer in the Boston area for many years, retiring from Spears Associates in 1970. He later worked as a consultant.
While in Gardner, Mr. Keeney sang in the Nevin Male Glee Club. He was a member of the Gardner Choral Society. He later sang with the Arlington Philharmonic. In Bourne, he was a member of the executive board of the Friends of the Bourne Council on Aging. He was a volunteer driver for the Council.
He was a member of Bourne United Methodist Church. He wintered in Palm Beach Gardens and Cocoa Beach, both in Florida and enjoyed sailing.
The funeral was held Monday in Bourne. Burial will be in Greenbower Cemetery, Gardner. Donations may be made to JML Care Center Fund, 184 Ter Heun Drive, Falmouth, MA 02540.
Russell Lee Kelley, 75

WORCESTER -- Russell Lee Kelley, 75, of 11 Lake Ave., died Thursday, Aug. 3, in Integrated Health Services after an illness.
He leaves a brother, Arthur Kelley of Framingham; three sisters, Lillian Adams of Toledo, Ohio, Gertrude Forbes of New Bern, N.C., and Gloria Ross-Pickett of Worcester; and nephews and nieces. A brother, James Kelley of Portland, Maine, died in December. He was born in Worcester, son of Henry Lee and Augusta (Lord) Kelley.
Mr. Kelley was a factory worker for many years.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, in Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. A calling hour is 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, in the funeral home.

SHREWSBURY -- Delima M.R.(Dufour) Sampson, 86, of 100 Old Mill Road, died Sunday, August 6, in Christopher House, Worcester, after a long illness.
Her husband, Joseph P. Sampson, died in 1974. She leaves four sons, David P. Sampson of Sandwich, Joseph A. Sampson of Lunenburg, John D. Sampson of Charlton, and A. Wayne Sampson of Shrewsbury; three daughters, Shirley S. Smith of Amherst, N.H., Joan R. Courtman of Worcester and Linda J. Sampson- Mowrey of Kensington, Md.; and 19 grandchildren. Mrs. Sampson was born in Worcester, daughter of John B. and Rose A. (Raymond) Dufour and had lived in Shrewsbury for over 50 years; she was also was a summer resident of Dennisport for 45 years. She graduated from Commerce High School in 1932.
Mrs. Sampson had been employed as a cashier at Spag's for 30 years, before she retired in 1978. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and needlework. She was a member of Saint Anne's Church, and a member of the Shrewsbury Grange.
A funeral will be on Wednesday, August 9, from the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, with a Mass at 10 A.M. in Saint Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike. Alice M. Becker, 80

WARE -- Alice M. (Robbins) Becker, 80, of 6 Dale St., a seamstress, died Friday, July 13, in Mary Lane Hospital.
Her husband of 50 years, Herbert Becker, died in 1988. She leaves a daughter, Betty Goodwin of Ware; a brother, Frederick Robbins of Indian Orchard; a sister, Pearl Whitney of Bradenton, Fla.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was born in Ware, daughter of Frederick and Evelyn (Dansereau) Robbins, and was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Becker was a seamstress for the former Ware Hat Shop, last working several years ago.
She was a member of the United Church.

MENDON -- Victoria (DeLuzio) DeCapua Kelley, 53, of Mendon, formerly of Milford, a medical secretary, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, in Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Northbridge, after a long illness.
She leaves her husband of 14 years, Robert V. Kelley; a son, Richard DeCapua of Springfield; a brother, Anthony J. DeLuzio of Milford; nephews and nieces. Her first husband, Dominic “Dickie” DeCapua, died in 1979. She was born in Framingham, daughter of James D. and Victoria (Santucci) DeLuzio, and lived in Milford before moving to Mendon. She graduated from Milford High School in 1965.
Mrs. Kelley, with her first husband, operated Dickie's Nightlight, Milford. She later was a medical secretary and worked at Massachusetts Rehabilitation, the offices of Dr. Michael Biancamano, the Milford Area Visiting Nurses Association, and Dr. Puopolo's Walk-in Medical Center, all in Milford. She and her husband were longtime members of the National Kidney Foundation, where she was co-chairperson of the Massachusetts State Division.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Feb. 24, from Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 5 East Main St. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. WORCESTER -- Gertrude (Viner) Kelley of 39 First St., a retired store manager, died Wednesday, May 30, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- University Campus after an illness.
Her husband, John J. Kelley, died in 1985. She leaves nephews and nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. Five brothers, Charles, Walter, John, Frank and Cecil Viner, predeceased her. She was born in Oakland, Calif., daughter of Edgar C. and Sylvia E. (Mullarky) Viner, and attended Worcester schools.
Mrs. Kelley was a manager at Fannie Farmer candy store at Lincoln Plaza before retiring. She previously worked at Denholm and McKay Department Store. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church.
The funeral will be held Friday, June 1, from Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 9 Hammond St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Francis Kondratowicz, 73; former Dudley selectman

DUDLEY -- Francis “Sonny” Kondratowicz, 73, of 9 Sixth Ave., a water commissioner and retired executive, died Monday, Aug. 7, in Hubbard Regional Hospital, Webster, after being stricken ill at the Dudley Board of Selectmen's meeting.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Barbara A. (D'Alessandro) Kondratowicz; two sons, Michael “Gus” Kondratowicz of Dudley and John T. Kondratowicz of Sandwich; a daughter, Lori Kondratowicz of Thompson; a brother, Paul Kondratowicz of Dudley; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A son, Brian Kondratowicz, died in 1975; two sisters, Eleanor Stockhaus of Millbury and Rachel Tkacik of Thompson, died last year. He was born in Webster, son of Frank and Stella (Szczepaniak) Kondratowicz, and lived more than 63 years in Dudley, and summered in Wellfleet. He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1944, and earned a meteorology degree from Spartian Aeronautical School in Tulsa, Okla., and a psychology degree from Dartmouth College. He also served in the Naval Cadet Aviation program after World War II.
Mr. Kondratowicz was a vice president for 10 years at Steven's Linen Co., retiring in 1989. He previously was an executive in sales and marketing for 25 years with American Optical Co., Southbridge.
He was a member of St. Andrew Bobola Church. He was a water commissioner for the town; served on the Board of Selectmen in 1968; served on the Insurance Advisory Committee, the Board of Appeals, the Finance Advisory and Appropriation Committee, the Charter Commission, and the Bicentennial Constitution Commission; was a member of the TWA ambassadors club; and was a former member of the Webster-Dudley Rotary Club and the Serra Club. He earned the Community Citizen Award from the Dudley Grange in April, and enjoyed sailing.
The funeral will be held Thursday, Aug. 10, from Bartel Funeral Home, 33 Schofield Ave., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 53 West Main St. After cremation, burial will be at the family's convenience in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Webster. HARDWICK -- Lillian (Wos) Kosla, 77, of 95 High St., in the Gilbertville section, a retired silk screen worker, died Friday, Aug. 11, at her home.
Her husband, Edward T. Kosla, died in 1986. She leaves a son, Roland R. Kosla of Gilbertville; two grandsons, John and Edward Kosla of Gilbertville; and a great grandson. She was born in Passaic, N.J., daughter of John and Emily (Fila) Wos, and moved to Gilbertville in 1948. She attended Garfield public schools in New Jersey and graduated from the McDowell School of Design in New York.
Mrs. Kosla was a silkscreen worker at the former Ware Knitters Inc., for many years before retiring in 1985. She previously worked at the former William Carter Co. She was a member of the Gilbertville Golden Agers, a charter member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 9093 and a member of the Tri-Parish Food Pantry since 1993. She was a member of St. Aloysius Church.
Funeral service will be held Monday, Aug. 14, from the Cebula Funeral Home, 66 South St., Ware, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Aloysius Church, Church St. Burial will in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
