LEOMINSTER -- The graveside service for Paul A. Beckner, 56, of 154 Middle St., will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, in St. Leo's Cemetery. Mr. Beckner died July 11 in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- University Campus, Worcester, after an illness.

ATHOL -- Cindy V. (Cote) Bennett, 43, of 936 South Athol Road, died Friday, Aug. 3, from injuries suffered in a car accident earlier that day in Kennebunk, Maine, where she was vacationing.
She leaves a daughter, Jennifer L. Cote of Athol; a son, Jonathan R. Bennett of Athol; her mother and stepfather, Maxine A. (Bromley) and James L. Carey of Athol; four brothers, Charles H. Cote of Virginia, Gilbert P. Cote of Swampscott, Chris A. Carey of New Salem and Brian L. Carey of Athol; four sisters, Sandy M. Hamlett and Michele M. Cote, both of the Baldwinville section of Templeton, Patricia A. O'Lari and Kim A. Garver, both of Athol; three stepbrothers, Thomas Carey of Florida, Robert Carey of Maine and James Carey of Fitchburg; a stepsister, Brenda Hickey of Arizona; a granddaughter; nephews and nieces. She was born in Athol, daughter of Horace Cote, and graduated from Athol High School in 1976.
Ms. Bennett was a unit supervisor at Cottage Hill Academy, Baldwinville. She previously was a house manager for North Central Human Services, Gardner. She enjoyed camping and bird-watching.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, in Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main St. Burial will be in Silver Lake Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Jonathan R. Clyde J. Bernier, 82

WHITMAN -- Clyde J. Bernier, 82, of Whitman, formerly of Fitchburg, a retired carpenter, died Sunday, Aug. 6, in Brockton Hospital after an illness.
His wife, Louise (Rivers) Bernier, died before him. He leaves a son, Donald A. Bernier of Hanson; a brother, William Bernier of Worcester; two grandchildren. A sister, Beryl Paskauskas, died before him. He was born in Acton, son of Joseph and Arvilla (Gilmore) Bernier, and was raised and educated in Fitchburg. He lived in Whitman for the past five years. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Bernier was a union carpenter for more than 55 years, and was a member and former financial secretary of Local 48, Carpenters Union. He was also assistant building inspector for the city of Fitchburg.
He was a former member of the Fitchburg Lions Club.
The funeral will be Thursday, Aug. 10, from Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St., Rockland, with a Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph the Worker Church, Hanson. After cremation, burial will be in Fitchburg. Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, in the funeral home.
Josiah C. Berry, 83

NORTHBRIDGE -- Josiah C. Berry, 83, of 27 Fletcher St., Whitinsville, a motorcycle enthusiast and retired department manager, died Sunday, Aug. 6, in Beaumont Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Cecile (Chabot) Berry; two daughters, Deborah A. Gazaille and Rebecca A. Boisvert, both of Whitinsville; a sister, Louiebelle Daubney of Douglas; six grandchildren. He was born in Whitinsville, son of Harry and Susan (Hamelin) Berry. He lived in Blackstone and Uxbridge before returning to Whitinsville in 1961. He graduated from Northbridge High School in 1934.
Mr. Berry was a department manager at The Fair in Worcester for 20 years, retiring in 1987. He was a construction worker during the 1940s and 1950s, and owned and operated a bait and tackle shop in Blackstone during the 1950s.
He was a motorcycle enthusiast, and made three cross-country runs. He enjoyed fishing and bird watching.
The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, in Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill St., Whitinsville. After cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, in the funeral home. Ralph J. Berthiaume, 76

CHARLTON -- Ralph J. Berthiaume, 76, of Stafford Street, a retired boiler room fireman and a veteran of World War II, died Monday, April 23, at his home, after an illness.
His wife, Beatrice I. (Paquette) Berthiaume, died in 1997. He leaves two sons, Ralph E. Berthiaume of Worcester and Alan J. Berthiaume of Sutton; three daughters, Irene M. Ross of Whitinsville, Anne Marie Bouvier of Charlton and Celine Berthiaume of Clinton; a sister, Rita LaQuerre of El Cajon, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. Three brothers, Alfred, Armand, and Edward Berthiaume, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Alfred and Anne (Brunelle) Berthiaume, and lived four years in Charlton. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving as an engineer in seven invasions.
Mr. Berthiaume was a boiler room fireman at Hahnemann Hospital in Worcester for 11 years, retiring in 1995. He previously worked at Worcester State College. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, and a former member of St. Joseph Church in Worcester. He was an acolyte, and visited local nursing homes. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He and his wife were foster parents for many children.
The funeral will be held Thursday, April 26, from Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Notre Dame Church, 446 Main St., Southbridge. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, in the funeral home. Eugene Berthiaume Sr.

WORCESTER -- Eugene J. Berthiaume Sr., 90, of 1050 Main St., formerly of 7 Woodbine St., a retired taxi cab owner and operator, died Thursday, Aug. 10, in Providence Extended Care Facility after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 59 years, Irene E. (Morrisseau) Berthiaume; a son, Eugene J. “Jake” Berthiaume Jr. of Worcester; two daughters, Donna Wade of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Jane Sloan of Worcester; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Two grandchildren died before him. He was born in Worcester, son of Joseph A. and Odiena (Cardin) Berthiaume.
Mr. Berthiaume was a self-employed taxi cab owner and operator through Yellow Cab Co. for more than 50 years, retiring many years ago. Previously, he worked in the maintenance departments of Leland-Gifford Co. and the General Motors Assembly Plant in Framingham.
He was a member of St. Peter's Church, and a founding member of Holy Name of Jesus Church. He was also a member of the Independent Taxi Owners Association, and a former Worcester Auxiliary police officer and civil defenseman.
The funeral will be held Monday, Aug. 14, from Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 51 Illinois St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, in the funeral home. MENDON -- Roland J. Bilodeau, 79 of 71 W. Hartford Ave., a World War II veteran, died Thursday, Aug. 10 in Sunbridge for Milford, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 38 years, Shirley A. (DesRosiers) Bilodeau; a son, Francis R. Bilodeau of Milford; a daughter, Nancy A. Lucciarini of Uxbridge; two stepsons, Joseph A. Nardone of Southbridge and Michael F. Nardone of Worcester; a stepdaughter, Margaret R. Tremblay of Long Neck, Del.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lorenzo of Oxford, Rene of Ontario and Benoit Bilodeau of Laconia, N.H.; three sisters, Marie-Ange Brochu and Rita Carrier, both of Montreal, and Alice Dion of Quebec; nephews and nieces. He was born in St. Magliore, Quebec, son of Wilfred and Victoria (Lacroix) Bilodeau. He lived in Woonsocket, R.I. before moving to Mendon 34 years ago. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Bilodeau was an assembler at the former General Motors Corp. in Framingham for 30 years, retiring in 1982. He previously worked at the Box Shop at the former Whitin Machine Works in Whitinsville.
He was a member of the Oliver Ashton American Legion Post 343 in Northbridge, and a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church. He enjoyed woodworking and bowling.
The funeral will be held Monday, Aug. 14 from the Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St., Whitinsville with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Michael the Archangel Church, North Avenue, Mendon. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Providence Road, Whitinsville. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13 at the funeral home.

DEDHAM -- Phyllis A. (DePastene) Binkley, 73, of Dedham, died Saturday, Aug. 5, at her daughter's home in Bridgewater.
She leaves three daughters, including Lucinda B. Nagle of Millbury; two sons; 11 grandchildren. A sister died before her. She lived in Dedham all her life.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, in George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St. Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, in the funeral home. John E. Bodreau, 44

UXBRIDGE -- John E. Bodreau, 44, of 26 Providence Road, a newspaper company courier, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, at home.
He leaves his wife of 23 years, Mary E. (Bennett) Bodreau; two daughters, Tammy J. Bodreau of the Whitinsville section of Northbridge and Angela R. Bodreau of Uxbridge; his mother, Helen C. (Rej) Moreira of Milford; three brothers, George E. Bodreau Jr. of Milford, Robert P. Bodreau of Hopedale and Richard Bodreau of Portland, Ore.; and two grandchildren. He was born in Milford, son of George E. Bodreau Sr., and lived in Milford and Hopedale before moving to Uxbridge a year ago. He was educated in Hopedale schools.
Mr. Bodreau was a courier for various newspaper companies for more than 20 years.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 12, in the Bertoni Chapel of Sacred Heart Cemetery, Milford. Cremation will be in Rural Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. Ruggerio-Consigli Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford, is directing arrangements.
Winnifred Boucher, 71

LEOMINSTER -- Winnifred E. (Merrill) Boucher, 71 of 44 Keystone Drive and formerly of 350 Water St. Apt. 616 in Fitchburg, a retired clerk and typist, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, in HealthAlliance Leominster Hospital after a long illness.
Her husband, Doria T. Boucher, died in 1968. She leaves a son, Thomas Boucher of Meridianville, Ala.; a brother, Howard B. “Bucky” Merrill of Leominster; and five grandchildren. She was born in Townsend, daughter of Clinton A. and Florence W. (Richardson) Merrill, and graduated from Townsend High School in 1947.
Mrs. Boucher was a bookkeeper and machine operator at Hedstrom Union Co., and a clerk and typist at New England Business Services Co., Townsend. She retired many years ago.
The private funeral service will be held at the family's convenience. After cremation, burial will be at the family's convenience in Hillside Cemetery, Townsend. There are no calling hours. Smith Mallahy-Masciarelli Funeral Home, 243 Water St., Fitchburg, is directing arrangements.
Florence Berger Boulton

EAST BROOKFIELD -- Florence Berger Boulton, 81, of 252 Harrington St., a retired attorney and clerk of courts, died Sunday, August 6, at the Worcester Medical Center, Worcester, after a long illness.
Her husband, Howard C. Boulton, died in 1965. She leaves a brother, Alphonse J. Berger of Spencer; a sister, Louise G. Berger of Spencer; nieces and nephews. A brother, Carl J. Berger, died in 1973, and a sister, Victoria Berger, died in 1955. She was born in Spencer, daughter of Columbian and Rosalie (Wojtasiak) Berger, and moved to East Brookfield in 1960. She graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer. She received her law degree from Northeastern University in Boston.
Mrs. Boulton was an attorney and former clerk of courts in East Brookfield for more than 40 years. She ran her practice from a law office in Spencer for many years, retiring in 1988.
She was a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, and was a former corporator of the Spencer Savings Bank.
The funeral will be Wednesday, August 9, from J. Henri Morin & Son Funeral Home, 23 Maple Terrace, Spencer, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will be in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. There will be a calling hour from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, in the funeral home. MARLBORO -- Agnes H. (Jerszyk) Bradshaw, 84, formerly of Marlboro, a retired billing clerk, died Monday, Aug. 7, in the Colonial Poplin Nursing Home, Freemont, N.H., after an illness.
Her husband, John H. Bradshaw Jr., died in 1998. She leaves two sons, John H. Bradshaw III of Atkinson, N.H., and James Bradshaw of Tyngsboro; a brother, Stanley Jerszyk of Branford, Conn.; two sisters, Sophie Capalbo of Shrewsbury and Rita Jerszyk of Chino, Calif.; six grandchildren. She was born in Pepperell, daughter of John H. and Josephine (Ruc') Jerszyk, and lived in Worcester and Marlboro for many years before moving to New Hampshire eight months ago.
Mrs. Bradshaw was a billing clerk at Raytheon Corp. in Sudbury for more than 20 years, retiring in 1977. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and enjoyed reading, gardening and cooking.
The funeral Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, in Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect Street. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. A calling period will be from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, in Sullivan-Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln St.
