Elizabeth B. Desimone, 81

WORCESTER -- Elizabeth B. (Sacco) Desimone, 81, formerly of 1146 West Boylston St., a longtime insurance clerk, died Friday in Holy Trinity Eastern Orthodox Nursing Center.
Her husband, Angelo M. Desimone, died in 1977. She leaves a brother, Michael Sacco of Shrewsbury; four sisters, Madeline Harrington of Sunrise, Fla., Mary A. Dorsey of West Boylston, Nellie M. Dee and Carolyn Spiewak, both of Shrewsbury; nephews and nieces. She was born in Hazardville, Conn., daughter of Gaetano and Maria C. (Verile) Sacco, and lived here most of her life. She graduated from a local high school.
Mrs. Desimone was an office clerk at Paul Revere Insurance Cos. for many years before she retired. She was a member of St. Christopher's Church and sang for many years in its choir.
A funeral service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity. Mercadante Funeral Home, 370 Plantation St., is directing arrangements.
Margaret M. Degon, 84

WORCESTER -- Margaret M. (Donahue) Degon, 84, of 328 Greenwood St., died Monday in the Odd Fellows Home.
Her husband, Joseph C. Degon Sr., died in 1993. She leaves four sons, Robert F. Wesson of Highland Park, Fla., Gerald P. and David B. Wesson, both of California, and Joseph C. Degon Jr. of Dudley; a daughter, Barbara J. Degon of Worcester; six sisters, Grace Kristolaitis of the Rochdale section of Leicester, and Theresa Dangrado, Agnes Gagne, Josephine Donahue Baillargeon, Marion King and Geraldine Villnave, all of Worcester; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Timothy F. and Rose A. (Morissey) Donahue.
Mrs. Degon was a member of St. Peter's Church.
The funeral will be held Friday from Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, 931 Main St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. tomorrow in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 7 Oak St., Worcester 01609.
DeBonis funeral today

WEST BOYLSTON -- The funeral for Frank DeBonis, 77, of 12 Applewood Road, formerly of Worcester, will be held today from Mercadante Funeral Home, 370 Plantation St., Worcester, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St. Ann's Church, 24 Mulberry St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours were yesterday at the funeral home.
Mr. DeBonis, a state hospital maintenance worker for many years, died Friday in St. Vincent Hospital after an illness.
He leaves a brother-in-law, Peter R. Palumbo of West Boylston, with whom he lived; an uncle, John Gugliemetti of Worcester; nephews and nieces. Two sisters, Rita M. Palumbo of West Boylston, with whom he once lived, and Phyllis Canning of Worcester, died a day apart in 1993. He was born in Worcester, son of Michael and Mary (Gugliemetti) DeBonis, and lived there many years. He lived more than 25 years in West Boylston.
Mr. DeBonis was a maintenance worker at Westboro State Hospital for more than 25 years, retiring in 1982. He previously worked at Worcester Taper Pin Co. in Worcester.
He was a member of the Retired State, County & Municipal Employees.
Pauline Mancini Deamer

WORCESTER -- Pauline V. (Rosenholtz) Mancini Deamer, 70, of 132 Country Club Blvd., a retired office worker, was stricken ill and died Friday while visiting relatives in Los Angeles.
She leaves two sons, Mark Mancini of Worcester and Ron Mancini of Los Angeles; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Her first husband, Frank Mancini, died in 1989. A son, Matthew Mancini of California, died in 1991. Born in Worcester, daughter of Gustaf N. and Helen V. (Croone) Rosenholtz, she lived in Los Angeles before returning to Worcester. She graduated from North High School.
Mrs. Deamer worked at the Better Business Bureau in Los Angeles before she retired.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Nordgren, Carrigan, Mangsen Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling is 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Shirley K. Temple, 89

BELCHERTOWN -- Shirley K. Temple, 89, of Belchertown, formerly of Webster, died Saturday, March 24, in Rindge, N.H. after a long illness.
Her husband, Raymond E. Temple, predeceased her. She leaves a daughter, Audrey M. Calarese of Falmouth; two sons, Harold E. Archambeau of Becket and William A. Archambeau of Rindge; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was born in Webster.
Mrs. Temple was a nurse 20 years with the department of mental health in Westboro, retiring in 1972.
A graveside service was held Thursday, March 29, in St. Joseph Cemetery in Webster.
Theresa F. LeBlanc, 64

FITCHBURG -- Theresa F. (Infantino) LeBlanc, 64, of 276 Lunenburg St., formerly of Chester Street, a department store clerk, died Friday, July 27, at home after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 44 years, Yvon J. “Bo” LeBlanc; a son, Joseph R. LeBlanc of Athol; a daughter, Marie LeBlanc of Harvard; her mother, Francis (Canzio) Infantino of Fitchburg; two brothers, Salvatore Infantino of Lady Lake, Fla., and Carmello Infantino of Florida; four sisters, Josephine Wood, Maryann Lapointe, Lena Mittola and Frances Lory, all of Fitchburg; and three grandchildren. A sister, Gracie Shank, died last year; and a brother, John Infantino, died in 1998. She was born in Fitchburg, daughter of Charles Infantino.
For the past 10 years, Mrs. LeBlanc was a floor clerk at Marshall's department store, Leominster. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sons of Italy Lodge 169, and the Board of Directors of the Trailer Park Association where she lived. She volunteered at Burbank Hospital and was a Girl Scout and Brownie leader.
A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 30, in St. Joseph Church, 49 Woodland St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 29, in Louis M. Isabelle Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St. The Sons of Italy will perform a ritual at 7 p.m. during the calling hours. Florence L. Curran, 72

WORCESTER -- Florence L. (Gaudette) Curran, 72, of 4 Gardner Terrace, died Sunday in Memorial Hospital.
Her husband, George J. Curran, died in 1989. She leaves two brothers, Gerard N. and Norbert N. Gaudette, both of Worcester; and several nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Frank X. and Marie A. (Angers) Gaudette.
Mrs. Curran was a member of St. Peter's Church.
The funeral will be held tomorrow from Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 12:30 p.m. in St. Peter's Church, 931 Main St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Lionel J. Cormier, 74

LEOMINSTER -- Lionel J. Cormier, 74, of 161 Spruce St., a welder, was stricken ill and died Sunday at home.
His wife, Geraldine Heywood Cormier, died in 1994. His first wife, Juanita (Treadwell) Cormier, died in 1973. He leaves a son, Ronald J. Cormier of Leominster; a daughter, Emily Resnik of Lunenburg; two stepsons, Douglas and Keith Heywood, both in Hawaii; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a close friend, Mary Riggens of Leominster. He was born in Leominster, son of Eloie and Rosanna (Bourgeois) Cormier.
He was a welder at Reisner Co. in Clinton and at Eastern Culverts. He retired in 1988.
Mr. Cormier was a member of St. Cecilia's Church.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic St. Burial will be in St. Cecilia's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. M.A. Simard & Son Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., is directing arrangements.
The Rev. Hugh Corey, 75

MALDEN -- The Rev. Hugh M. Corey, 75, of Malden, retired minister of pastoral care at Park Street Church in Boston, and a longtime leader in the Assemblies of God, died yesterday in Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital, Boston, after a struggle with cancer.
He was born in Bedford, Quebec, and was ordained into the Pentecostal Assemblies of God in 1951. He was the pastor of churches in Quebec and Vermont, and later Glad Tidings Church in Quincy. In 1969, the Rev. Mr. Corey was elected secretary-treasurer of the New England District of the Assemblies of God. In 1978, he became district superintendent, overseeing the 175 Assemblies of God churches in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. He retired in 1990 and was then minister at large for the Evangelistic Association of New England. In 1994, he became minister of pastoral care at Park Street Church in Boston.
The Rev. Mr. Corey traveled extensively in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America as a speaker to missionary groups.
He leaves his wife, Esther M. (Schroder) Corey; a son; a daughter; a sister; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Park Street Church, 1 Park St., Boston. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Lee, Moody & Russell Funeral Home, 9 Dane St., Beverly, MA 01915. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made be made to Vision New England in care of the funeral home.
John J. Chisholm, 87

WORCESTER -- John J. Chisholm, 87, of 9 Columbine Road, founder and president of Jen Manufacturing, died Monday at home after being stricken ill.
His wife, Elva E. (Bailey) Chisholm, died in 1990. He leaves a daughter, Nancy L. Gendron of Worcester; a sister, Lillian Paddison of Fontana, Calif.; and a grandson. He was born in New York City, son of John F. and Lydia (Merki) Chisholm, and lived here most of his life. He attended Atlantic Union College in Lancaster.
Mr. Chisholm was the founder and president of Jen Manufacturing in Millbury.
He was active in the Worcester Age Center.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Burial will be private in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity.
