Dennis P. Normile
CONCORD - Dennis P. Normile, formerly of Belmont, died Sept. 17, 2000. He was the husband of Donna Lee (Eastman) Normile.
In addition to his wife and parents, John and Muriel (Taffe) Normile of Dover, N.H., he is survived by a daughter, Hannah Lee Normile. He was the brother of Jackie, Michael, Kathy, Timmy, Kevin, Maureen, Debbie, Christine, Danny and Patrick. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Joey, Melisa, Meghan, Caitlin, Kelsey, Brendon, Brianna, Anthony, Ryan, Tyler and Jake.
A graveside service was held today, Sept. 21, in the new section of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Bedford Road, Concord.

Antonio Castagno Jr.
Antonio Castagno Jr., 77, of Watertown, formerly of Belmont, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000. He was the son of the late Anna (Cerino) and Antonio Castagno. Born in Belmont, he was a longtime resident of Watertown. Prior to retirement he was a production worker for Raytheon for over 28 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Castagno is survived by three sisters, Jennie L. Dalessio of Watertown, Rachel Frano of Somerville and Anna DeMattia of Medford; two brothers, Alphonse Castagno of Belmont and Stephen Castagno of Natick; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Patricia Lefebvre and Florence Welsh, and two brothers, Richard and Adam Castagno. The funeral will be held today, Sept. 21 at 8 a.m. from the Short, Williamson & Diamond Funeral Home, 52 Trapelo Road, Belmont, with a funeral Mass in St. Joseph's Church, Common St., Belmont, at 9 a.m. Interment will be in Belmont Cemetery. Ruth Bouchie
Ruth H. (Kruger) Bouchie, 78, of Belmont, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2000. She was the wife of the late Earle Bouchie. Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Mary Kruger. Mrs. Bouchie lived in Belmont for 55 years. Prior to retirement she was employed as a bookkeeper for the Cooperative Reserve Supply Co. in Cambridge for 40 years. She was past matron of the Easter Star Belmont chapter and a lifelong member of the Belmont United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bouchie is survived by several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held in the Brown & Sons Funeral Home, Belmont, Monday, Sept. 18. Interment followed in Belmont Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Grand Chapter of Massachusetts Eastern Star, Box 600325, Newtonville, MA 02460.
Stella M. LeDoux
WORCESTER - Stella Marie (Monahan) LeDoux, 45, died suddenly at her home on Sept. 14, 2000. She was the wife of Robert LeDoux. Mrs. LeDoux was born in Cambridge on March 29, 1955, the daughter of D. Leo and Stella T. (Frechette) Monahan of Belmont. She graduated from Assumption College in 1977 and received her master's degree in early childhood education from Wheelock College in 1982. She is a member of the Third Order of Mary. She also volunteered at the Marist Center in Framingham, counseling couples in the Engaged Encounter program. Mrs. LeDoux was employed as an elementary school teacher in Worcester, where she was in charge of the special needs department and developed a rapport with many children with special needs. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by three sisters, Rita Monahan-Earley of South Natick, Mary Reed of Fort Worth, Texas, and Gail Monahan of Belmont; two nieces and two nephews. A funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 19, in St. Jerome's Church in Arlington. Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Arrangements were under the care of the Keefe Funeral Home Inc., Arlington.
N. Preston Breed
N. Preston Breed, 92, died Sept. 13, 2000, at home in Belmont. He was the husband of the late Elaine (Cammett) Breed. He was born in Lynn on April 24, 1908, the son of the late Dr. Nathaniel P. and Effie (Thompson) Breed. He was educated in the Lynn Public Schools, and graduated from Phillips Academy in Andover, Class of 1925. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in business from Harvard College, Class of 1929; and a master's degree in business administration with High Distinction from Harvard Business School in 1932. He did further graduate evening courses at New York University. Mr. Breed was nationally known in banking and real estate circles. He was an Honorary Life Member, earlier a director and clerk of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, and other professional real estate associations. At various times, he taught or lectured, and was the author of many published articles on banking and real estate. His awards and honors included the Joint Army-Navy Certificate of Appreciation, and a similar certificate of the Office of Scientific Research and Development, for outstanding contributions during World War II. Other activities included acting as United Fund chairman of the city of Cambridge, later for the Boston North Metropolitan cities, Andover Alumni Council, and secretary of the Harvard Business School Class of 1932. He was an active mountain climber, covering many peaks in New England and the Matterhorn in Switzerland. An active figure skater, he was once New England Champion for Dance with partner Barbara Elliot, later an active judge and referee of figure skating. Mr. Breed was a member of the Bald Peak Colony Club, Badminton & Tennis Club, Belmont Hill Club, Cambridge Boat Club, The Cheese Club-Belmont, City Club Corporation, Harvard Clubs of Boston and New York, the Hamilton Trust, New England Senior Golfers Association, Pi Eta Speakers Club Association, skating clubs of Boston and New York, St. Bartholomew's Church Club, Weston Golf Club, Winchester Country Club, Breed Family Association, Sons of the American Revolution, and White Mountain Ski Runners. He is survived by a son, Nathaniel P. Breed Jr. of Washington, D.C.; a daughter, Elizabeth Jennings of Maynard; and two grandchildren. Services were held Sept. 18, in Plymouth Congregational Church in Belmont. Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Sally Hayes
Sally Sullivan Hayes, 84, a longtime resident of Arlington, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, at the Winchester Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late James Hayes and the late Dennis C. Sullivan. Born in Ireland, she was the daughter of the late John and Sarah (Crehan) Martin. A 60-year resident of Arlington, she was a daily communicant of St. Agnes Church. She was also a member of the sodality. Mrs. Hayes is survived by two daughters, Maureen Devaux of Marblehead, and Ann Fahey of Arlington; a son, Dennis J. Sullivan of Belmont; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 18 at St. Agnes Church in Arlington. Interment followed in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the John F. Sullivan Scholarship, c/o Everett High School. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Keefe Funeral Home, Arlington.
Agnes M. Maki
MAYNARD - Agnes Marie (Wicks) Maki, 67, of Maynard, died Sept. 15, 2000, at the Metrowest Medical Center in Natick following an extended illness. She was the wife of Edwin W. Maki. She was born in Cambridge, the daughter of the late Douglas and Florence (Regular) Wicks. Mrs. Maki was a retired waitress and enjoyed bingo in her spare time. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Debra DiPietro of Hudson, and Roberta Joyce of Wrentham; three brothers, John Wicks of Cambridge, William Wicks of Somerville, and Earl Wicks of Belmont; a sister, Carol Wicks of Cambridge; and two grandchildren. A funeral service was held Sept. 19, in the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home in Maynard. Interment was in Glenwood Cemetery, Maynard. Kenneth J. Rimpas
Kenneth J. Rimpas, 56, of Belmont and Lunenburg, died Sept. 16, 2000, in his home in Lunenburg following an illness. He was the husband of Carol Philips Rimpas. He was born in Boston on Nov. 23, 1943, the son of Nickolas and Nancy (Rafferty) Rimpas of Lunenburg. He graduated from St. Mary's High School in Waltham in 1960 and received his bachelor's degree from Boston University. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Coast Guard as the commander of U.S.C.G. Station Loran in Hokkaido, Japan. Mr. Rimpas owned and operated the former R.J. Rimpas Antiques Shop in Cambridge for 20 years. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a brother, Jeffrey Rimpas of Sudbury; two sisters, Karyn Carroll of Woburn, and Dolores Palmer of Antrim, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. There were no calling hours.
