Thomas J. Forde, 77, of Norwood

NORWOOD - Thomas J. Forde, 77, of Norwood, formerly of Roslindale and Ireland, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at the Quincy Medical Center.

He was the husband of Winnie (Connolly) Forde.

Born in Aughrim Ballinasloe, County Galway, Ireland, he was the son of the late Patrick and Winifred (Flannery) Forde.

He was employed as a machinist for Campo Industries in Waltham and was an avid gardener and landscaper.

Besides his wife, he leaves one son, Thomas Patrick Forde and his wife, Allison of Walpole; two daughters, Ann Marie Forde of North Attleboro and Una Pantazelos and her husband, Gabe of Randolph; four brothers, Francis, James, Patrick and Andrew Forde; four sisters, Bridget Flanagan, Eileen Nelson, Freda Richards, Julie Murray; and three grandchildren.

His funeral will be held Thursday, May 30, at 9 a.m., from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St. (Rte. 1A), followed by a funeral Mass, at 10 a.m., at St. Timothy's Church, 650 Nichols St., Norwood.

Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Norwood.

Calling hours are tomorrow, from 4 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Donald Paul Pritchard, longtime resident of Dedham

DEDHAM - Donald Paul Pritchard, longtime resident of Dedham, died Sunday, July 28, 2002, at his home after a brief illness. He was 68.

Born in Boston, he served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1996 after 20 years as a purchaser for Sierracom, a satellite system manufacturer.

He is survived by his son, Brian P. Pritchard of Dedham; two daughters, Pamela Vicente of Dedham and Alison H. Hammer of Houston, Texas; his brother, Robert Pritchard of Weymouth; three sisters, Marie Durkee of Davis, Calif., Jane Meinhart of Martha's Vineyard, and Diane Edward of Martha's Vineyard; and four grandchildren, Jacob Paul, Samantha Suzanne, and Zachary Paul Pritchard Vicente and Emily Katherine Hammer.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m. at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham.

Burial will be private.

Donations to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 375 Longwood Avenue, Boston, MA 02115 or to the Lighthouse Community Church, 15 Faith Hill, P.O. Box 4045, Dedham, MA 02026, would be appreciated.

Blanche M. (Boncek) Carter, 83, of Dedham

DEDHAM - Blanche M. (Boncek) Carter, 83, of Dedham, died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at Deaconess Glover Hospital in Needham.

She was the wife of Charles E. Carter.

Born in Dedham and a lifelong resident, daughter of the late Peter and Rose Sydlowski) Boncek, she attended Dedham schools. Mrs. Carter was a homemaker and was a member of St. Adalbert Church, Hyde Park.

Besides her husband, she leaves her sons, Charles R. Carter of Millis, James E. Carter of Middleboro; daughters, Laraine P. Thompson of Mansfield, Beverly A. Treannie of New Jersey; brothers, Joseph Boncek of Dedham, Chester Boncek of North Attleboro; sister, Stasia Foley of Dedham; seven grandchildren; and one great - grandchild.

She was the sister of the late Charles Boncek.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Aug. 3, at 9 a.m., at St. Adalbert Church with the Rev. Msgr. Stanislaus T. Sypek officiating.

Burial will take place at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.

Visitation will be held today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Kraw - Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington St., Norwood.

Irene Florence (Smith) Corish, 89, a resident of Norwood since 1936

NORWOOD - Irene Florence (Smith) Corish, 89, a resident of Norwood since 1936, died Monday, July 29, 2002, at the Charlwell Nursing Home in Norwood after a brief illness.

She was the wife of the late John W. Corish.

Born in Nova Scotia, Canada, she was employed as a bookbinder for 15 years at Plympton Press in Norwood until her retirement in the mid 1970's.

She was a member of the Scoble Lodge of Norwood.

She leaves her son, John N. Corish Sr. of Dedham; her daughter, Lois A. Myers of Norwood; her brother, Ernest H. Smith of Dorchester; her niece, Beatrice L. Sheehan of Dorchester; three nephews, Joseph Smith of Fla., Ernest Smith of Ariz. and James Townson of Ontario, Canada; four grandchildren; and four great - grandchildren.

She was also sister of the late Bernice Stevenson and grandmother of the late John N. Corish Jr.

A funeral will be held Thursday, August 1, at 10 a.m., at the United Church of Norwood, 595 Washington St., Norwood.

Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Norwood.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, July 31, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the May Funeral Home, 85 Nichols St., Norwood.

Memorial donations may be made to the Sanctuary Piano Fund, c/o United Church of Norwood, 595 Washington St., Norwood, MA 02062.

Helen E. (Seastrand) Eysie, 71, of Norwood

NORWOOD - Helen E. (Seastrand) Eysie, 71, of Norwood, died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at home.

She was the wife of George M. Eysie.

Born in Norwood and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late John and Helen (Murphy) Seastrand.

Mrs. Eysie was a 1949 graduate of Norwood High School, where she was a captain of cheerleaders. She was employed for 27 years as a secretary at Norwood Hospital. She was a member of St. George Orthodox Church in Norwood and member of the Church Ladies Sodality.

Besides her husband, she leaves her sons, attorney George M. Eysie Jr. and Thomas T. Eysie, both of Norwood and Christopher J. Eysie of Rhode Island; daughters, Helen C. Pavlosky, Rayhme A. Cleary and Barbara L. Gallo, all of Norwood; 13 grandchildren; brothers, Francis "Shotgun" Seastrand of Norwood and Connie and his wife, Dottie Seastrand of Onset; sister, Marion Lewis of Milton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late John Seastrand.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m., at St. George Orthodox Church, with the Rev. Joseph Kimmet officiating.

Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery, Norwood.

Visitation will be held today, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Kraw - Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington St., Norwood.

William J. McNeil, 86, of Norwood

Friday, August 2, 2002

NORWOOD - William J. McNeil, 86, of Norwood, formerly of Hyde Park, died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at home after a brief illness.

He was the husband of the late Eileen (Norton) McNeil.

Born in Nova Scotia, Canada, son of the late James Doyle and Elizabeth (McNeil) McNeil and step - son of the late Hector McNeil, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. McNeil worked as a master mechanic for First National Stores for many years. After retiring, he became custodian, usher and bingo organizer for Most Precious Blood Church in Hyde Park.

He was a retired member of Teamsters Local #25, Yankee Division Veterans Association, Disabled American Veterans and the Cecil W. Fogg Post of the American Legion in Hyde Park.

He leaves his children, Paul and his wife, Christine of Norton, Janet Rega and her husband James of Dedham, Nancy Gaudette of Norwood, Brian McNeil and his wife, Laurie of Norwood and Karen Granville and her husband, Peter of Franklin; niece, Rosemary Kubera of North Quincy; grandchildren, Kevin Parker of Jamaica Plain, Brian Parker of Dedham, Andrew McNeil of Lakeville, David McNeil of Norton, Abby, Michelle, Ashley and Justin Gaudette of Norwood, Allison McNeil of Norwood, Carly and Amy Granville of Franklin; great - grandchildren, Mackenzie, Ryan and Cameron Parker and Taylor and Michelle Parker.

He was the brother of the late Mary Doyle and Catherine McCabe.

A funeral will be held Monday, Aug. 5, at 9 a.m., from Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St. (Rte. 1A), Norwood, followed by a funeral Mass, at 10 a.m., at St. Timothy Church.

Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.

Visiting hours are Saturday, Aug. 3, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 4, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
