Kevin A. Sullivan
Visiting hours for Kevin Anthony Sullivan will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2002, in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, Main Street, Watertown.
Mr. Sullivan was born in Boston, on March 26, 1947, a son of Paul B. and Grace M. (Dolan) Sullivan. His early years were in Charlestown before the family moved to Watertown where he grew up. Mr. Sullivan, a graduate of Minuteman High School, Lexington, has furthered his education at Harvard University and University of Massachusetts.
He drove a Taxi Cab for over 25 years and had been affiliated with several Boston Cab Companies including I.T.O.A. and Red and White. He died in the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Needham Campus, Needham, MA. on Wednesday, September 11, 2002. Mr. Sullivan, a resident of South Boston for the past 10 years, was 55 years old.
He leaves a daughter, Helen C. Sullivan of Revere; three brothers: Paul B. Sullivan of Sarasota, Fl., David B. Sullivan of Chicago, IL, and James B. Sullivan of Westford; and a sister, Catherine A. MacDonald of Watertown.
In addition to his parents, a brother Mark D. Sullivan predeceased him.

Fern Twigg
A Funeral Services for Fern (Sneed) Twigg will be held in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, Main St., Watertown, on Thursday at 11 AM.
Mrs. Twigg was born in Los Animos, Colo., on Dec. 28, 1923, a daughter of Charles and Minerva (Morse) Sneed. She was a graduate of Penrose High School in Colorado and has lived in Watertown for the past 50 years. She enjoyed crocheting, sports and her employment as a Cafeteria Worker in the Watertown Schools where her group was affectionately known as the Kitchen Canaries.
Mrs. Twigg died at her residence on Sunday night, September 22, 2002. She was 78 years old.
She leaves two daughters: Linda A. O’Hearn and her husband Paul of Watertown and Charlene M. Maximenko and her husband Walter of Watertown; a granddaughter, Caitlin O’Hearn; a brother, Fred Sneed of Penrose, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews including Carolyn Kenney.
She was the wife of 49 years to Edward J. Twigg when he died November of 1992 and sister of the late Kate Jowers and Paul Sneed.
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, September 25 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main Street, on Rte. 20, Watertown. Interment will be in the family lot in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown, following the funeral service. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend.

Marjorie E. Wogan
Funeral Services will be held on Monday September 30, 2002 for Mrs. Marjorie E. (Adams) Wogan. Mrs. Wogan was born in Cleveland, Ohio a daughter of the late Frederick Chapman Adams and Ethel Ruth (Brown) Adams. She had been employed for many years as an Insurance Clerk and had been a Watertown resident for many years. She died on Wednesday September 25, 2002 at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, MA at the age of 85.
She was the wife of the late Paul A. Wogan and is survived by her children: Lowell A. Wogan of NV, Susan E. Timmins of Billerica, Marilyn A. Wogan of Melrose and Jeffrey A. Wogan of AZ. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Michelle A. Riley, Patrick A. Timmins, Stephanie L. and Alexandra K. Wogan, and her great granddaughters: Catherine H. and Lindsay M. Riley.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 9:30 A.M. in the Phillips Congregational Church 111 Mt. Auburn St. Watertown. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Victoria S. Coppola
A Funeral Mass for Victoria Stella (DeGeorge) Coppola will be celebrated on Friday, December 6, 2002, in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown.
Mrs. Coppola was born in Watertown, on May 25, 1908, a daughter of Pasquale and Elizabeth (Orzia) DeGeorge. She was a lifelong Watertown resident until moving to Concord a few years ago. She died in the Sunbridge Care for Concord on Tuesday, December 03, 2002 at 94 years old.
She leaves a daughter, Evelyn Cuoco of Beverly; five brothers: Dominic DeGeorge of Hollywood, Cal., Louis DeGeorge of Braintree, Joseph DeGeorge of Los Angeles, Cal., Pat DeGeorge of Needham, Albert DeGeorge of Milford; a sister, Palma Jeffrey of Los Angeles, Cal.; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was the wife of the late Gregory Coppola; mother of the late Gregory J. Coppola; and sister of the late Lucy Antonucci, Florence Tobio, Theresa Sullivan, Guy DeGeorge and Helen Murphy.
The Funeral will be from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown, on Friday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 o'clock in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery.

Robert J. McElroy
A Funeral Mass for Robert Joseph McElroy will be celebrated on Thursday, December 5, 2002, in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown.
Mr. McElroy was born in Watertown, on Oct. 4, 1920, a son of Joseph T. and Dorothy (Cheatham) McElroy. He lived most of his life in Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School, Class of 1939. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in Colorado and joined the US Army during World War II where he served overseas in the New Guinea theatre.
After the war he went to work for the Town of Watertown and retired in 1982 as the Assistant Superintendent of the Department of Public Works, Watertown. Over the years, he had held membership in the Disabled American Veterans, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Burnham-Manning Post 1105, Watertown and the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Tomas Cardinal O’Fiaich Division 14, Watertown.
He died on Sunday, December 1, 2002, in Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Boston, after a long illness. Mr. McElroy was 82 years old.
He leaves his wife of 57 years, Agnes T. (Powers) McElroy; six children: Judith A. McElroy of Cambridge, Watertown Police Lt. Robert J. McElroy, Jr. of Millis, Marianne N. McElroy of Washington, D.C., Watertown Firefighter Kevin R. McElroy of Waltham, Brian P. McElroy of Weymouth, and Mark J. McElroy of Clinton, NY; a brother, William A. McElroy of Dennis; a sister, Ethel B. Jones of Newton; and 8 grandchildren.
A daughter, Claire D. McElroy, and a brother, Warren D. McElroy, also predeceased him.

Mary P. “Maureen” Short

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 4, 2002 for Ms. Mary Patricia “Maureen” Short. Ms. Short was born and grew up in Belfast, Ireland, a daughter of the Late Edward and Annie (Molloy) Short. She had been a resident of Watertown for over 30 years and resided in Belmont for the past 11 years. She had been employed as a receptionist with the Blackwell Publishing Company in Malden, MA. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Pequossette Quilters in Watertown. Ms. Short died on Monday December 2, 2002 at her residence.
She was the loving sister of Patsy Short and his wife Phoebe of Belfast, Ireland, Caroline Short of Belmont, Edward Short and his wife Claire of Waltham, Bridget Delaney and her husband Sean of Watertown, John Short and his wife Robin of Aurora, CO and the late James Short formerly of Canada, Kathleen Costley formerly of Brockton and Terrance Short formerly of Watertown. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Ann Short of Canada; her brother-in-law Thomas Costley of Brockton and is fondly remember by her many nieces, nephews and friends.

Katherine G. Thomas

Funeral Services will be held on Friday November 29, 2002 for Mrs. Katherine G. “Kay” (Sullivan) Thomas. Mrs. Thomas was born in New London, Ct., a daughter of the late Patrick J. and Mary A. (Conway) Sullivan. She grew up in Medford, MA and was a graduate of Medford High School. She was retired from the Ruby Epstein Company in Newton Highlands where she had been employed for many years as an accountant. Mrs. Thomas resided for many years in Hanson, MA and for the past 6 years she had been a resident of Concord, MA. She died on Tuesday November 26, 2002 at the Sunbridge Care for Concord at the age of 86.
She was the wife of the late Alexander Thomas and the late Arthur N. Butler; mother of Jerome Butler of Concord; sister of Ruth Marascia of Winchester and the late M. Patricia Sullivan; and aunt and godmother of the late John F. Marascia.

Peter C. Laganas
SEABROOK, N.H. — Peter C. Laganas, 77, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at his home near Seabrook Beach following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Evangeline (Midouhas) Laganas.
He was born in Lowell on Dec. 25, 1928, the son of the late shoe manufacturer, Christos P. and Arhontoula (Gounaris) Laganis. Mr. Laganas was a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and Columbia University in New York City. He also graduated from Brown University in Providence, R.I., where he served as a Naval ROTC officer.
Mr. Laganas was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell for many years.
He was the general manager of Christos P. Laganas Shoe Company, a family business in Lowell. He also ran the Newport Shoe Factory in New London, N.H. Mr. Laganas later owned a shoe import-export company for which he traveled extensively to countries including Japan, South Korea, Spain, Greece and Italy.
In addition to his wife of 44 years, he is survived by a son, Christos P. Laganas of Hampton, N.H.; a daughter, Audrey Laganas and her husband David C. Jenkins of Arlington; a step-grandson; a brother, Constantine C. Laganas and his wife Sandra of Summit, N.J.; a sister, Marie Laganas of Lowell; and several nieces and two nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Arthur C. Laganas.
A funeral was held March 4 from the O’Donnell Funeral Home in Lowell, followed by a funeral service at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Burial was in Westlawn Cemetery.

Carmela Gianfrancesco
A Funeral Mass for Carmela (Di Re) Gianfrancesco will be celebrated on Thursday, February 13, 2003 in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown.
Mrs. Gianfrancesco was born in Cantalupo nel Sannio (Isernia), Italy, on December 18, 1912. She grew up and was educated in Italy, came to the United States in 1946 and settled in Watertown. She was a daily communicant at St. Patrick Parish and a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality. Mrs. Gianfrancesco died in Wingate at Needham on Sunday, February 9, 2003, after a long illness. She was 90 years old.
She leaves four children: Joanna Angelucci of Watertown, Anna D. Gianfrancesco of Lexington, Ralph A. Gianfrancesco of Wheaton, Ill., Frank D. Gianfrancesco of Gaithersburg, MD.; a brother, Giovanni Di Re of Whitestone, NY.
She also leaves 8 grandchildren: Anthony Angelucci, Donna Angelucci, Mark Gianfrancesco, Karyn Gianfrancesco, Michael Gianfrancesco, John Gianfrancesco, Matthew Gianfrancesco and Paul Gianfrancesco; and 2 great-grandchildren: Martin Angelucci and Mia Carmela Gianfrancesco.
Daughter of the late Francesco and Cristina (Ranallo) Di Re, she was the wife of the late Gennaro Gianfrancesco who died in May 1979.

Goriun Hablanian
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday February 8, 2003 for Mr. Goriun Hablanian. Mr. Hablanian was born in Kiev, Ukraine a son of the late Hamparzum and Bernadine (Usunian) Hablanian. He came to Watertown in 1949 and has been a resident for the past 54 years. He served with the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. An active book collector, he was known for his self-less and dedicated volunteer services to multiple Armenian organizations and schools.
Mr. Hablanian died on Wednesday February 5, 2003 at the Tower Hill Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Canton, MA at the age of 76.
He is survived by his brother Marsbed Hablanian of Wellesley; his sister Ann “Gina” Hablanian of Watertown; Aunts: Carmen “Camo” Habosian and Brigitte Usunian both of Watertown; and cousin Mary Habosian of Watertown, a nephew, niece and several cousins. He was predeceased by his cousin Kaspar Habosian.

Anthony G. Kalinowski, PhD
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday February 15, 2003 for Anthony G. Kalinowski, PhD. Dr. Kalinowski was born in Concord, MA. He grew up in Maynard, MA and was a 1970 graduate of Xavier High School in Concord, received his B. S. in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst in 1974, his Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Boston University in 1977, a PhD in Psychometrics from the University of Chicago in 1982 and a PhD in Clinical Psychology in 1991 from Clark University in Worcester, MA. He interned at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center in Boston for several years, later to open his own practice in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Kalinowski was a Practitioner for the Norfolk County Court and an instructor at the Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. He had been a resident of Belmont for the past 18 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved to run, hike and swim. Dr. Kalinowski was a passionate and a learned scuba diver. He died on Sunday February 9, 2003 as a result of a scuba diving accident at the age of 50. He is deeply loved and sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Barbara L. (Hansen) Kalinowski; his daughters: Kate Kalinowski and Sarah Kalinowski; his mother Mary F. (Graceffa) Kalinowski of Maynard. He was brother to Fran Streitfeld and her husband Mark of Arlington and Joseph and his wife Barbara) of Greenville, NC. Mr. Kalinowski was predeceased by his father Anthony S. Kalinowski.
