Barr Helen E. (Boesse)
Barr Helen E. (Boesse), Barr Helen E. ( Boesse) 72, of South Yarmouth, passed away Wednesday, May 26 at Eagle Pond in So. Dennis after a lengthy illness.
She was wife of the late David R. Barr, Sr. who predeceased her in 1972
Mrs. Barr was born in South Yarmouth, MA. She was a graduate of Yarmouth High School, class of 1950
Mrs. Barr was a former owner of the Kiddie's Korner Children's Consignment Shop. She also worked several years for the Christmas Tree Shop and Kelly Home Care.
Mrs. Barr lived her entire life in Yarmouth.
She was a member of the Cape Cod Bible Fellowship, and a former leader for the cub scouts, girl scouts, brownies, bluebirds and campfire girls.
Mrs. Barr enjoyed quilting, rug braiding, gardening, sewing, bird watching, ceramics, bowling, was an avid reader and Civil War Buff.
She is survived by three sons, David R Barr, Jr. of West Yarmouth, Jeffrey S. Barr of South Yarmouth and Kenneth J. Barr of South Yarmouth.
Two daughters, Nancy J. Barr - Chaput of North Port, FL and Teresa M. Beatty of West Yarmouth,
Three sisters, Marilyn Osusky of Virginia, Florence Pallotto of Connecticut, and Alice Vera of South Yarmouth.
Seven grandchildren, one great-grandson and several nieces & nephews.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 31 at the Cape Cod Bible Fellowship,627 Depot Street, Harwich, MA at 2:00PM. Burial will be private. Kent Ida (Gottlieb), 88 of South Dennis, died May 25, 2005. Wife of the late Louis Kent. Mother of Richard Kent and his wife, Joan of Norfolk, MA. Sister of Rose Lipson of Coconut Creek, FL. Grandmother of Elizabeth and Benjamin Kent, both of Norfolk, MA. A funeral procession will form at 10:30 a.m. today, Friday May 27, at the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth for a graveside service to be held at 11 a.m. in Woodside Cemetery, Summer St., Yarmouthport. Kaloshis, Jeanne M.
Kaloshis, Jeanne M., 47, of Hyannis passed suddenly at her home.
She was born in Dorchester, raised and educated on Cape Cod. She was a graduate of Cape Cod Community College with an associate's degree in computer administration.
She fostered and helped rescue many cats and dogs.
As an example of her love for homeless cats, she took a limo around town on her birthday feeding homeless cats.
She loved going to the beach, music concerts and dancing.Jeanne is someone you would never forget. She will be missed by her family and many friends.
Jeanne was a member of the friends of Plymouth Pound.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is the daughter of Eileen (MacIsaac) Kaloshis and the late Richard Kaloshis. She is also survived by two daughters, Danielle Metz and Destini Williams both of Dennis, two brothers, Richard Kaloshis of Plymouth and Mark Kaloshis of Marshfield, two sisters, Eva Basehart of Amherst, NY and Danielle of Ohio and by two grandchildren, Mike and Gabe.
A Funeral will be held on Friday, June 29 at 10:00 am in St. Francis Xavier Church, South Street, Hyannis, MA. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Friends of the Plymouth Pound, P.O. Box 578, Manomet, MA 02345
Lynch, Christine F. (Matteson)
Lynch, Christine F. (Matteson), whose 95th birthday was May 9, passed away on May 10 at Punta Gorda Elderly Care, Inc. in Florida.
Mrs. Lynch was born in Dennis and lived in Dennis for many years, working as the Dennis Assistant Town Clerk and Treasurer. She was married to Lester H.
Matteson. Upon her husband's death she married Hugh J. Lynch and spent many happy years residing in Naples, FL. Her husband predeceased her.
To be near her son and daughter-in-law, Kelvin L. and Peggy Matteson, she moved to Port Charlotte, FL. She is also survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Letitia and Donald Chapman, who also now reside in Port Charlotte, FL. Also surviving are five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Dennis, MA.
Ricci Irene D. (Urbano)
Ricci Irene D. (Urbano), 91, died Thursday, April 4. at her home in South Yarmouth.
Mrs. Ricci was born in New Bedford, MA and later moved to Melrose, MA to care for a Minister and his wife and three children.
She later met and married her late husband, Arthur Ricci and they resided in Malden, MA for over forty years.
Upon retirement, they moved to Cape Cod in 1980 where she enjoyed her home and spending time in her yard gardening.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Ricci of South Yarmouth and Carol (Ricci) Carter of Andover, MA, one granddaughter, Dr. Lisa Carter of Stamford, CT. and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held on Friday, April 8, at 9:00 AM from the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. at St. Pius X Church, Station Ave., South Yarmouth. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday, April 7, from 4 to 7 PM. Burial will follow in Ancient Cemetery, Yarmouthport. Murati, Asllan
Murati, Asllan, 60, a Cape resident since 1995, died Thursday, May 12 in South Chatham.
Mr. Murati was a carrier for the U.S. Postal Services in North Chatham and Harwich, as well as a caregiver for the elderly for Home Instead. He was a member of the Third Degree of the Knights of Columbus in San Diego and South Yarmouth and was baptized at Saint Pius X Church in 1996.
Mr. Murati was born and raised in Tirana, Albania. He worked as a research and development chemist and was chief of the chemistry service that served 10 animal feed processing centers of Albania. For his discoveries during severe economic conditions, he was twice honored by the Albanian government. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1995 and was extremely proud on the day he became a U.S. citizen in 2000. He often said that he was 'born' in this country.
Mr. Murati obtained a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Tirana, and pursued additional studies in chemistry, computer programming, accounting, water supply, and wastewater management at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, the University of California at San Diego, Miramar College, and Cape Cod Community College. He was also an active member of the American Chemical Society. He worked for Catholic Charities in San Diego as a caseworker and interpreter for refugees from Kosovo, Somalia, and other countries. He also worked as a researcher and cultural guide to rehabilitate persons who were traumatized by the abuses of the communist regime in Albania. He was employed in San Diego by Systran Software, Inc., as a linguist, and in Massachusetts by the laboratories of Shuster, Inc.
Surviving besides his wife, Dr. Susan Greeley Murati of South Chatham, are his sisters, Myrveti Pullumbi of Albania, Semiha Aliaj of New York and Albania, Pranvera Reci of New York, and Fatbardha Mema of Albania, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 18, at 10:00 A.M. at Saint Pius X Church, Station Ave., South Yarmouth. Friends and relatives may call at the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Harwich.

Reed, Allen S.
Reed, Allen S., 80 of South Yarmouth, died Monday May 16 at his home in South Yarmouth. He was the husband of Janice M. (Judson) Reed for 56 years.
Born in New Bedford, Mr. Reed was raised and educated in Fairhaven. He was a graduate of Fairhaven High School and he attended Franklin Tech in Philadelphia.
Mr. Reed served in the U.S. Navy, during World War II, aboard the U.S.S. Cotten DD669. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Water Tender, Third Class in 1946.
For 30 years, Mr. Reed worked as an engineer for the New England Telephone Co. in the Cape Cod area. He retired in 1985. Mr. Reed was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Mr. Reed moved to South Yarmouth from Fairhaven in 1961. He was an avid reader, enjoyed playing golf, fishing, the Boston Red Sox, the New England Patriots, and most of all, spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Reed is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Browne of Pleasant Grove, UT and Priscilla Raftery of Sandwich; a sister, Constance Tallman of Rochester; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday May 19 in the Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne. The funeral procession, to the Cemetery, will form at 9:45 a.m. at the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth.
Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday May 18 in the funeral home.

Price, Lorraine A. (Crosby)
Price, Lorraine A. (Crosby), 70 of East Dennis, died peacefully at her home Thursday May 18 of cancer, among loving family and friends.
Born, raised and educated in Roslindale, Mrs. Price later moved to Weymouth and was employed as a clerk for the Boston Gas Company. She also lived in Rockland for several years, where she raised her family. A summer resident of Cape Cod for many years, Mrs. Price moved to East Dennis in 1978. From 1992 until her illness in 2004, Mrs. Price was a dedicated employee of Hospice & Palliative Care of Cape Cod in Hyannis, as a medical records clerk.
A life-long Red Sox fan, Mrs. Price enjoyed collecting antiques, playing scrabble and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Price is survived by three daughters, Nancy Foster of Bennington, VT, Carol Price of New York, NY and Leslie Wheatley of Seattle, WA; two grandchildren, Rebecca S. Price of North Attleboro and Dylan C. Wheatley of Seattle, WA; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday May 25 in the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth to be followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Cape Church, 468 Stoney Brook Rd., Brewster.
Interment will follow in Brewster Cemetery, Brewster.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday May 24, in the funeral home.

Witherell, Mary K. (Robinson)
Witherell, Mary K. (Robinson), 71 of South Dennis, died Friday May 20 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, following a long illness. She was the wife of Douglas A. Witherell for 52 years.
Born, raised and educated in Mount Vernon, NY, Mrs. Witherell was a graduate of Davis High School in Mount Vernon and attended the former Hyannis State Teacher's College in Hyannis.
For 25 years, Mrs. Witherell worked as a bookkeeper for Arthur Bloomer, Accountant and Diversified Assets, in Orleans.
Mrs. Witherell was a longtime resident of South Dennis and spent winters at the Live Oaks RV resort in Arcadia, FL.
An avid golfer, Mrs. Witherell was a member of the Dennis Women's Golf Assoc. She was also an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed doing crafts. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Witherell is survived by two sons, Scott Witherell and his wife, Marcia of Dennisport and Keith Witherell and his wife, Kathy of Cape Elizabeth, ME; a sister, Ruth Williams of South Dennis; her mother in-law, Luci Witherell of Harwich; five grandchildren, Cyndi Allan of Dennisport, Valerie Witherell of South Dennis, and Jeffery, Thomas and Michael Witherell, all of Cape Elizabeth, ME; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday May 24 in the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth. Interment will follow in Mosswood Cemetery, Cotuit.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday May 23, in the funeral home.
