Marion L. Holmes age 78 years of Brockton, MA died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at her home.
Born Tuesday, January 7, 1930 in Brockton she was the daughter of the late Walfred Holmes who was born in North Easton and Elsie (Oman) Holmes who was born in Brockton.
Marion was a life long resident of Brockton and a graduate of Brockton High School. She worked in the office of Footjoy for many years and retired several years ago.
Marion and her late sister Helen went on several Religious Retreats and in years past enjoyed traveling. She was an avid reader and always enjoyed sitting down to color with the younger generation. She was a long time member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Brockton and more recently a member of Olivet Memorial Church.
She is survived by her aunts Astrid (Oman) Hedin of CT and Ellen I. (Oman) Johnson of North Dartmouth; her cousins Donna Oman Olson, Gary Oman, Ruth Ellen Medeiros, Leonard “Lenny” Hedin, Karla Kolle, Cheryl Sadowski and Gerry Banis. She was also the sister of the late Helen Holmes and niece of the Late Paul Holmes, Hilma Holmes, Ruby White , Edward Oman and Ruth Banis Roedder.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St. Brockton, MA. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 1 – 2 PM.
A graveside burial will take place on Tuesday at 2:30 PM in Melrose Cemetery in Brockton, MA.
Friends wishing memorial gifts may be given to Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02115.

John Thomas Connors

John Thomas Connors aged 64 years of Middleboro, MA died Friday, June 13, 2008 at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was the husband of Mary Ann Connors.
Born December 23, 1943 in Quincy, MA he was the son of late Arthur T. and late Elvera J. (Johnson) Connors. John was a 1976 graduate of Boston University and has lived in Middleboro for over 20 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1964-1968 and had retired after 20 years of service from Verizon where he was a manager.
In addition to his wife Mary Ann he is survived by two sons James A. Connors and his wife Jessica of Plymouth, MA and Christopher D. Connors of Taunton, MA; two sisters Helen Pedrelli and her husband Richard Georgia and Lynne Adams and her husband Dr. David Adams of Hadley, MA and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Arthur A. Connors formerly of Brockton and the late Jeanne Thomas formerly of Quincy.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford St. Lakeville, MA. Burial will take place in Nemasket Hill Cemetery in Middleboro following Cremation.
Visitation will take place on Monday, June 16, 2008 from 5-9 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations maybe made in John’s name to the Lung Cancer Alliance, PO Box 630972, Baltimore, MD, 21263-0972.

Brenda L. (Benson) Redpath

At: First Congregational Church, Middleboro, MA
Brenda L. (Benson) Redpath age 38 years of Lakeville, MA died Friday, June 27, 2008 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA after a brave fight against cancer. She was the loving wife of Scott D. Redpath.
Born Wednesday, July 9, 1969 she was the daughter of Kenneth W. and Jacquelin A. (Grose) Benson of Middleboro, MA.
Brenda was a 1987 graduate of Middleboro High School, a 1991 graduate of UCONN where she earned her Bachelor Degree in Psychology and a 1995 graduate of Bridgewater State College where she graduated Suma Cum Laude earning her Masters in Psychology. She was a long time resident of Middleboro and has lived in Lakeville for the past 7 years. She worked as a Clinical Therapist at the Counseling Center in Middleboro and was a member of PSICHI National Society, a member of the Massachusetts Field Hockey Officials and a Girl Scout Leader. She was an avid field hockey player and enjoyed crafting and especially spending time with her daughters and family.
In addition to her loving husband Scott and her parents Kenneth and Jacquelin she is survived by two beloved daughters Bridget and Meghan Redpath; her paternal grandmother Arleen Benson of Rochester; her maternal grandmother Cindy Grose of Middleboro; her father in law George Redpath of TX; her mother in law Sylvia Redpath of Whitman; two sister in laws Katie Milan and her husband Paul and Cindy Forkey; a brother in law Eric Redpath and his companion Lee Rocha and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM in the First Congregational Church, (Rt. 105) Middleboro, MA. Interment will follow in Sampson Cemetery in Lakeville.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday 4-9 PM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford St. (Rt. 18) Lakeville, MA.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to the Redpath Family Fund in memory of Brenda c/o Harborone Credit Union, 68 East Grove St. Middleboro, MA 02346.

Lisa M. (Jones) Wedge

Service: Wednesday, June 18, 2008, 10:00 AM
At: Sts. Martha and Mary Church, Lakeville, MA
Lisa M. (Jones) Wedge of Lakeville, beloved wife and mother of three boys, died Friday from injuries sustained in a car accident on Route 24 in Taunton. She was 39.
Born and raised in Brockton, she and her husband of 20 years, Scott, lived in Lakeville for several years. A 1986 graduate of Brockton High School, Lisa worked at Doyle's Restaurant in Brockton for the past seven years. A devoted mother, she loved to travel with her husband and children. She also enjoyed spending time with friends and was a regular at spinning classes at Metro South Gym in Brockton.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wedge is survived by three sons, Scott, 20, Dylan, 13, and Jakob, 8; a brother, Bud Jones of East Bridgewater; a sister, Kerry Palm of Taunton; her father, George Jones of Brockton; her in-laws, Robert and Suzanne Wedge; brother-in-law Michael Wedge and fiancée Marilva Mendonca; sister-in-law Laura Wells and husband Dave; two neices and three nephews. She was also the daughter of the late Patricia Flaherty.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford St., Lakeville.
A funeral mass will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Martha and Mary Church, 354 Bedford St., Lakeville. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Middleboro.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to the Lisa M. Wedge scholarship fund at the Harbor One Credit Union, 500 South Street West (Rt. 44), Raynham, MA 02767.

Arthur E. “Art” Goodwin, Jr.

Arthur E. “Art” Goodwin, Jr. age 60 years of Taunton, MA died unexpectedly, Sunday, June 22, 2008 at Morton Hospital in Taunton.
Born Wednesday, June 25, 1947 in Brockton he was the son of the late Arthur E. and Helen M. (Snooks) Goodwin. Art was a graduate of Whitman-Hanson High School and was an avid sports fan. In his earlier years he had lived in Whitman and then been a long time resident of Taunton.
He is survived by three daughters Stacey Dousa and her husband Jamie of Avon, MA, Karen Prescott and her husband Glenn of Carver, MA and Brenda Roberts and her husband Joseph of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren Johnathan and Michelle Roberts and Jessica, Rebecca, Emily and Aaron Prescott; two sisters Charlotte Conefrey and her husband Patrick of Taunton and Donna Higgins and her husband Roland of Brockton and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Thursday from 5-8 PM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton, MA. Burial will take place at a later date.

Michael D. “Mike” Mason

Michael D. “Mike” Mason age 58 years of Middleboro, MA died suddenly June 14, 2008 at his home. He was the loving husband of Brenda L. (Sylvia) Mason of 37 years.
Born Sunday, March 19, 1950 in Middleboro he was the son of Elsie “Pete” (Bartlett) Mason of Lakeville, MA and the late Robert Mason.
Mike was a 1968 graduate of Middleboro High School and worked as a heavy equipment operator. In his earlier years he worked for Fall Brook/Birchwood/Woodview Corporations for 10 years, Kriswood’s for 10 years and the past 8 years at W.L. Byrne’s in Middleboro. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam 1969 – 1970. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed combat with his lawn and yard and most of all laughing with and being with his grandchildren and family.
In addition to his wife Brenda and has mother Elsie “Pete” he is survived by a daughter Carrie Almeida and her husband Derek of Dartmouth, MA; a son Robert Mason and his fiancé Kristen St. Mary of Delray Beach, FL; three grandchildren Adam and Erica Almeida and Adyson Mines; two brothers Thomas Mason and his wife Kathleen Bagnell of Middleboro and David Mason and his wife Terry of Bridgewater, MA; two sisters Patti Silva and her husband Robert of Middleboro and Teri Mason and her husband Richard Herlihy of Winchester, MA and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 PM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford St. Lakeville, MA. Visitation will take place before the service from 1:00 – 1:30 PM. Interment will follow in Nemasket Cemetery in Middleboro.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to the Jimmy Fund Clinic c/o D.F.C.I, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115.

Anthony Quelle Lopes

Anthony Quelle Lopes age 21, years of Middleboro, MA died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Morton Hospital in Taunton.
Anthony was a long time resident of Middleboro and was a graduate of Middleboro High School. He enjoyed fishing, football, baseball and was a member of Jericho Christian Fellowship in Middleboro.
He is survived by his mother Terri Nunes, step-father Robert Nunes, father Mickey Quelle, Jr.; a son Dominic; long time companion Sara Maxfield; a brother Robert Nunes, Jr.; a sister Ashley Nunes; his grandmother Betty Perry; great-grandmother Jenny Lopez; an aunt Vickie Perry; four uncles Victor Perry, Peter Perry, Frank Lopes and Manuel Lopes and several cousins and close friends. He was also the brother of the late Kaylee Nunes and the grandson of the late Manuel lopes and Mickey Quelle.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Jericho Christian Fellowship, 17 Jericho Road, Middleboro, MA. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Middleboro.
Visitation will take place on Thursday from 5-9 PM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford St. Lakeville, MA.

Catherine M. (Ahern) Lang
Memorial Service: Saturday, June 14, 2008, 10:30 AM
At: Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, Lakeville, MA
Catherine M. (Ahern) Lang, 87, died on Monday April 28th at the Island Terrace Nursing Home after a period of declining health.
Prior to her moving to Island Terrace Nursing Home a year ago, she had been a resident of Braintree, MA most of her adult life. Mrs. Lang was born in Keene, New Hampshire and worked as a professional singer after graduating from high school before she went to work for the Department of Chemical Warfare during WWII. After her children were grown and in school, she began a food demonstration business. She later worked for the Massachusetts Department of Unemployment, from which she retired in 1985.
She is survived by her children, Ted E. Lang of Lakeville, MA, David E. Lang of New York City and Barbara Jane (Lang) May of Pasadena, California, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Helen M. Quinn of Brockton, MA and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lang’s wishes were to have her remains donated to the Anatomical Gift Program at Harvard Medical School.
A memorial service will beheld on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 10:30 AM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 270 Bedford St. (Rt. 18) Lakeville, MA
