Peppe - Madeline (Russo) of East Boston, passed away on Monday March 27th, 2006.

Beloved wife of the late Anthony Peppe.

Devoted mother of Larraine Peppe and Anthony Peppe.

Dear sister of Rose Catena, Angeline Anderson, Emmanuel Russo, Mario Russo, Richard Russo, and predeceased by 4 bothers and a sister.

Cherished grandmother of John Ciano and Cheri Rouleau, and loving great grandmother of Christopher and Jessica Rouleau, and Stephanie and CJ Ciano.

Visiting Hours in the Chapel of the Ruggiero-Mazzarella Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, Orient Heights, East Boston on Thursday March 30th from 8:00am to 10:00am, followed immediately by a Funeral Service at 10:00am officiated by Father Wayne Belschner. Relative and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Madeline was born in Boston in 1921. She was a self-employed hairdresser and former owner of Peppe's Coiffeurs in Bennett Street, East Boston. Madeline passed away at home. She was 84 years of age.

The Memorial Home is handicapped accessible and a children’s lounge is available. Courtesy valet parking at the front entrance and ample off street parking is also available. For transportation to the memorial home please call 617-569-0990.

Services will conclude with Madeline being laid to rest in the Community Mausoleum at Woodlawn Cemetery in Elm Street, Everett

Michael Pessia

October 28, 1925 - February 7, 2003

Pessia - Michael of East Boston, suddenly on Friday February 7th, 2003 at the Whidden Memorial Hospital.

Beloved son of the late Michael and Elvira (Ferri) Pessia.

Dear brother of Margaret Spada and her husband Louis of East Boston, and the late Connie Lanzilli, Tullio Pessia, Larry Pessia, Aurelio "Riley" Pessia, Lydia Voto, Mary Christoforo, Gilda DiMonte, and Theresa Giuffrida. Also lovingly survived by many fond nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Ruggiero-Mazzarella Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street (Orient Heights) East Boston on Tuesday February 11th at 9:00am. Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks Street, East Boston at 10:00am. Visiting hours are on Monday February 10th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.

Michael was born in 1925 and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving his country in the US Army. He worked for many years as a candy maker for the Necco Candy Co. Michael passed away suddenly at the Whidden Memorial Hospital. He was 77 years of age.

The Memorial Home is handicapped accessible and a children's lounge is available. Courtesy valet parking at the front entrance and ample off street parking is also available. For transportation to the memorial home please call 617-569-0990.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Michael's memory can be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.

Services will conclude with Michael being laid to rest at the VA National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:45pm.

Tam Thanh Pham

Pham - Tam Thanh of East Boston suddenly on Monday January 29, 2001. Loving daughter of Meo and Hue (Hoang) Pham. Dear sister of Dinh, Thanh and Tung.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to her visiting hours in the Ruggiero-Mazzarella Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street (Orient Heights) East Boston on Thursday evening February 1 at 6-8pm.

At the request of the family, funeral services and interment will be private.

Tam, aged 17 years, was born in Chicago but lived in East Boston since only 6 months of age. She was a member of the Class of 2001 Boston Latin School. Tam was an outstanding student and a member of the National Honor Society as well as a National Merit Scholarship Commended Student for the highest score on her SAT's. Since the 8th grade, she was a recipient of the classical prize for the highest grades in her section of the Latin class, a member of the Boston Latin School Band playing the french horn, and a member of the indoor-outdoor track team. Tam was also a very talented artist and recipient of the Boston Globe Gold Key Award in Scholastic Art Competition. Her artwork is on display at the DeCordova Museum and she was involved in the design of the mural in memory of the late Assistant DA, Paul McLaughlin. Several of her artworks have also been used by the Boston Latin School to help design invitations and program books for special ceremonies.

Benjamin A. Pizzi

October 19, 1915 - January 26, 2004

Pizzi - Benjamin A. of Orient Heights, East Boston, on Monday January 26th, 2004.

Beloved husband of Phyllis (Hall) Pizzi.

Devoted father of Raffaela Pizzi and Thomas Pizzi, both of East Boston, Barbara Pizzi of Winthrop, Peter Pizzi of East Boston, and Karen Rogers of Orlando, Florida.

Dear brother of Rose Day of East Boston, and the late Savino Pizzi, Louisa LaConca, Donato Pizzi, Minerva D'Amico and Dominic Pizzi.

Cherished grandfather of Ian Douglas Rogers, Alexandra Rogers and Adrianna Martinez. Also lovingly survived by many fond nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass in St. Joseph - St. Lazarus Church, 59 Ashley Street, East Boston at 10:00am. Visiting hours are on Wednesday January 28th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.

Benjamin was born in Boston in 1915 and attended East Boston schools. He was a life long resident of Orient Heights in East Boston. Benjamin was a 2nd-class fireman with the Boston Housing Authority for almost 20 years. Prior to that he was a cab driver for Checkers Cabs. He passed away at the Youville Hospital in Cambridge after a brief illness. He was 88 years of age.

Lena Poirier (Lino)

March 9, 1917 - October 22, 2005

Poirier - Lena (Lino) of East Boston, passed away on Saturday October 22nd, 2005.

Beloved wife of the late Anthony Poirier.

Devoted mother of John Poirier and his wife Mary of Malden, Donna Taylor and her husband John of East Boston, and the late Lorraine Blaikie and Richard Poirier.

Dear sister of John Lino of Winthrop, Albert Lino of Medford, and the late Henry Lino, Louis Lino, Theresa Quartaroni, and Mary Ministeri.

Cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass in the Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks Street, East Boston at 10:00am. Visiting hours are on Monday October 24th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.

Lena was born in Boston in 1917. She was a homemaker and a mother, and a life-long resident of East Boston. Lena passed away after a brief illness at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family. She was 88 years of age.
