Dorothy I. "Dottie" (Silva) Bannon, 80, died at West Acres Nursing Home in Brockton on Thursday, October 14 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Charles S. Bannon, Jr. Born and educated in Boston, Mrs. Bannon lived in Stoughton for the past 50 years. She was a housewife at home with her family.
Mrs. Bannon is survived by her daughters, Donna M. Cross of Avon, Patricia A. Junta of Weymouth and Ann M. Smith of Lakeville and her sons, Charles S. Bannon, III of Stoughton, John J. Bannon of Norton and Thomas E. Bannon of Middleboro. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Anufrom, Margaret Harrigan and Helen Ruscito.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 4-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery

ANTONE J. CORREIA

Antone J. Correia, 85, died at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro on Monday, October 11. Born in Raynham, he was educated in Raynham and Canton Schools. Mr. Correia lived in North Attleboro for 6 months after living in Stoughton for many years. He was a kitchen worker at the Massachusetts Hospital School in Canton for 23 years before retiring 20 years ago. He was a skilled handyman.
Mr. Correia is survived by his children, Anthony J. Correia, Jr. of Stoughton, Leonard Correia of NC, Doreen Foren, Joanne Correia and Ronald Correia all of Foxboro, Pamela Correia and Lindy Martin of NH, Gene Correia and Elaine "Terry" Correia both of Taunton, Edward Correia of Norton, Marriann Webber and Pattyann Shaw both of N. Attleboro, Lujean Martin of RI and the late James Correia. He is also survived by his sisters, Sandra Dedos of Brockton, Jennie Santos and Olive Mokrisky both of Stoughton, and her brothers, James Correia of Brockton and John Correia of Norwood.

MARGARET J. "PEG" (SULLIVAN)(STENSTROM) OSTIS

Margaret J. "Peg" (Sullivan) Stenstrom Ostis, 89, died at home in Brockton on Tuesday, October 12 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of retired Boston Fire District Chief Steven H. Ostis. Born in Boston, Mrs. Ostis was educated at Girls High School in Boston and Boston Clerical School. She has lived in Brockton for 6 years after living in Florida for 20 years. Mrs. Ostis was an order writer at New England Telephone & Telegraph for several years. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers. In her free time she enjoyed playing cards, knitting, crocheting, ceramics and crafts.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ostis is survived by her sons, Deacon Eugene V. Stenstrom and his wife Carol of Duxbury, John V. Stenstrom and his wife Dorothy of Stoughton and Robert E. Stenstrom and his wife Kathleen of W. Roxbury and her brother, John Sullivan of CA. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Dennis M. Stenstrom, her sister, Mary O'Neil and her brother, Timothy Sullivan. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.

JERRY L. RIBEIRO

Jerry L. Ribeiro, 20, died at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Sunday, October 10 after a car accident. He was the son of Jose A. and Maria R. (Gonsalves) Ribeiro of Stoughton. A lifelong resident of Stoughton, Jerry was educated in Stoughton schools. He was a warehouse worker at Haemonetics, Inc. in Braintree. In his free time he enjoyed stunt bike riding and telling jokes.
In addition to his parents Jerry is survived by his siblings, Elizabeth L. Ribeiro and Sonia M. Ribeiro both of Brockton, Kelly A. Ribeiro, Steve J. Ribeiro and Amanda N. Ribeiro all of Stoughton and his grandmother, Maria Ribeiro of Stoughton. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

BARBARA E. "SARGE" (THERIAULT) WALLACE

Barbara E. (Theriault) Wallace, 62, died Saturday October 9, at the home of her sister Judy after a long period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Samuel Wallace. Born in Brockton, she was raised in Stoughton and a graduate of Stoughton Schools. Mrs. Wallace, known as "Sarge" to her family and friends, was a resident of Randolph for many years befor moving to Nashua, NH 10 years ago. Mrs. Wallace worked as a Customer Service Representative for Verizon in Manchester, NH for 10 years. Previously she worked in the same capacity at Verizon in Weymouth for 10 years. She enjoyed dog grooming and was an avid collector of baseball cards and home collectibles. She was an animal lover.
She leaves her two daughters: Robyn L. Wallace and Tobie L. Wallace of NH, and one son, Earl K. also of NH. She was the daughter of Lillian L. (Lowry) Theriault of Stoughton and the late Earl J. Theriault. She was the sister of Judith M Cote' and Wayne F. Theriault both of Stoughton, Marlene Bogen of AZ and David E. Theriault of FL. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews including Marlene Silva of Taunton.
Funeral services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 5-8 PM. MARY E. (BRODERICK) McLAUGHLIN

Mary E. (Broderick) McLaughlin, 84, was called home to God on Friday, October 8. She was the beloved wife of 62 years of Robert E. McLaughlin. Born in Charlestown, she was raised there and a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in Revere. Mrs. McLaughlin was a resident of Stoughton for over 50 years. She was a homemaker. She was a former member of the Daughters of Isabella at St. Catherine's Church in Charlestown. In her free time, she enjoyed playing Bingo. She was a beloved wife, remarkable mother, caring sister, model grandmother and most importantly, friend.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Marybeth E. Rego and her husband Ron of N. Attleboro, Maureen A. Scala and her husband George of Stoughton and Kathleen of Stoughton. She was the caring Sister of James Broderick of Stoneham, Lawrence Broderick of Arlington and the late Patricia Sullivan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her favorite grandson and most precious pearl from heaven Georgie. She was a much beloved friend to many.

Evelyn T. (Jachetti) Penardi, 81, died Wednesday evening, October 6, at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Arthur L. Penardi. Born in Trenton, NJ, she was educated in Trenton and a graduate of Cathedral High School in Trenton. She was a longtime sales clerk and bookkeeper at Wyman's Jewelery in Stoughton. In her free time, Mrs. Penardi enjoyed watching sports, the Red Sox, Patriots and golf on TV. She was a gourmet cook who loved spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her children, Kathryn A. Penardi Dawe and her husband Joseph of Duxbury, Jane M. Black and her husband Gene of Mansfield, and Arthur and his wife Laurie of E. Bridgewater. She was the sister of Marilyn Jachetti Whirry of CA. She was the grandmother of Joanna, Anthony and Nicholas Black, Matthew and Alyssa Penardi. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Vincent and Dante Black and many nieces and nephews.

GRACE C. (CARBONE) COSTANZO

Grace C. (Carbone) Costanzo, 65, died at home in Stoughton on Wednesday, October 6 after a brief illness. She was the wife of Vincent "Jimmy" Costanzo. Born and educated in Boston, Mrs. Costanzo resided in Stoughton since 1968. She was a sales associate at Lord & Taylor in Braintree for the past 15 years.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Costanzo is survived by her daughter, Bernadette Conway of San Diego, CA, her son, Anthony Costanzo of Stoughton, her grandchildren, Felicia Costanzo and Quinn Conway and her sister, Josephine B. LaRosa of Dedham. She is also survived by her cousins, Antonio and Gianna Sfravara, her sisters-in-law, Maria and Concetta Costanzo and several nieces and nephews.

ELSIE A. (ROY) BURKE

Elsie A. (Roy) Burke, 94, died at Hellenic Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Canton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late James C. Burke. Born in Norton, Mrs. Burke was educated in Norton schools. She resided in Canton for 23 years after living in Brockton for many years. She was the office manager for her husband's podiatry practice in Brockton. She was a longtime communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Brockton and very active in the Ladies Sodality at the church. After moving to Canton she was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. She was also a member of Ireland's Own in Brockton for many years.
Mrs. Burke is survived by her son, Special Agent James C. Burke, Jr. and his wife Susan of Canton and her granddaughter, Meghan K. Curtin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Claire Roy of N. Attleboro. In addition to her husband, James, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Alfred Roy and Homer Roy and her sister, Edna Harrington.

JOHN C. GILLIS

John C. Gillis, 86, died at the V.A. Medical Center in Brockton on Wednesday, September 29. He was the husband of the late Josephine Gillis. Born and educated in Middleboro, Mr. Gillis resided in Stoughton for many years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, receiving 2 bronze stars and a purple heart. He worked in accounting and deliveries for Gill Machine in Stoughton for many years. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and clamming.
Mr. Gillis is survived by his son, John A. Gillis of South Carolina and Lucy Gillis of Florida, as well as his sisters, Sr. Ann Gillis, CSJ and Sr. Josephine Gillis, CSJ both of Framingham.
A Graveside Service will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Central St., Stoughton on Friday at 11 AM.
