Evelyn T. (Jachetti) Penardi, 81, died Wednesday evening, October 6, at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Arthur L. Penardi. Born in Trenton, NJ, she was educated in Trenton and a graduate of Cathedral High School in Trenton. She was a longtime sales clerk and bookkeeper at Wyman's Jewelery in Stoughton. In her free time, Mrs. Penardi enjoyed watching sports, the Red Sox, Patriots and golf on TV. She was a gourmet cook who loved spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her children, Kathryn A. Penardi Dawe and her husband Joseph of Duxbury, Jane M. Black and her husband Gene of Mansfield, and Arthur and his wife Laurie of E. Bridgewater. She was the sister of Marilyn Jachetti Whirry of CA. She was the grandmother of Joanna, Anthony and Nicholas Black, Matthew and Alyssa Penardi. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Vincent and Dante Black and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 5-8 PM. Donations in Evelyn's name may be made to the Italian Home for Children, 1125 Centre St., Jamaica Plain, 02130. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.

GRACE C. (CARBONE) COSTANZO

Funeral Mass: Saturday, October 9, 9 AM, Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton.
Grace C. (Carbone) Costanzo, 65, died at home in Stoughton on Wednesday, October 6 after a brief illness. She was the wife of Vincent "Jimmy" Costanzo. Born and educated in Boston, Mrs. Costanzo resided in Stoughton since 1968. She was a sales associate at Lord & Taylor in Braintree for the past 15 years.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Costanzo is survived by her daughter, Bernadette Conway of San Diego, CA, her son, Anthony Costanzo of Stoughton, her grandchildren, Felicia Costanzo and Quinn Conway and her sister, Josephine B. LaRosa of Dedham. She is also survived by her cousins, Antonio and Gianna Sfravara, her sisters-in-law, Maria and Concetta Costanzo and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 8: 15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Grace's name may be made to Hospice of Greater Brockton, 500 Belmont St., Suite 215, Brockton, 02301.

ELSIE A. (ROY) BURKE
Visiting Hours: Sunday, October 3, 2-5 PM
Funeral Mass: Monday, October 4, 10 AM, St. John the Evangelist Church, 700 Washington St., Canton.
Elsie A. (Roy) Burke, 94, died at Hellenic Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Canton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late James C. Burke. Born in Norton, Mrs. Burke was educated in Norton schools. She resided in Canton for 23 years after living in Brockton for many years. She was the office manager for her husband's podiatry practice in Brockton. She was a longtime communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Brockton and very active in the Ladies Sodality at the church. After moving to Canton she was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. She was also a member of Ireland's Own in Brockton for many years.
Mrs. Burke is survived by her son, Special Agent James C. Burke, Jr. and his wife Susan of Canton and her granddaughter, Meghan K. Curtin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Claire Roy of N. Attleboro. In addition to her husband, James, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Alfred Roy and Homer Roy and her sister, Edna Harrington.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, Canton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-5 PM. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Brockton. Donations in Elsie's name may be made to the John J. Burke, Jr. Scholarship Fund, c/o The Community Bank, 276 Quincy St., Brockton, 02302.

JOHN C. GILLIS

Graveside Service: Friday, October 8, 11 AM, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Central St., Stoughton.
John C. Gillis, 86, died at the V.A. Medical Center in Brockton on Wednesday, September 29. He was the husband of the late Josephine Gillis. Born and educated in Middleboro, Mr. Gillis resided in Stoughton for many years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, receiving 2 bronze stars and a purple heart. He worked in accounting and deliveries for Gill Machine in Stoughton for many years. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and clamming.
Mr. Gillis is survived by his son, John A. Gillis of South Carolina and Lucy Gillis of Florida, as well as his sisters, Sr. Ann Gillis, CSJ and Sr. Josephine Gillis, CSJ both of Framingham.
A Graveside Service will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Central St., Stoughton on Friday at 11 AM. Donations in John's name may be made to Pamela Gefteas Memorial Fund, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Attn: Laurie Ledeen, 44 Binney St., Boston, 02115. Arrangements by Farley Funeral Home, Stoughton.

JOHN J. "JACK" CURTIS

Funeral Mass: Friday, October 1, 10 AM, Farley Funeral Home.
John J. "Jack" Curtis, 62, died unexpectedly Tuesday, September 28 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of Kathleen B. "Kay" (Krim) Curtis. Born in Roxbury, Mr. Curtis was a graduate of Boston Trade School and the Local 103 Apprentice Program. He was a member of Electrician's Union Local 103 in Boston for over 40 years. He retired 3 years ago. In addition to Local 103, he was a member of the Stoughton Auxiliary Police and the Mass 1 Blue Knights. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, collecting Hot Wheels, playing Playstation, visiting flea markets, riding motorcycles and making his daily trip to Honey Dew Donuts.
In addition to his wife Kay, he leaves his four daughters: Jill A. Corrente and Jaclyn M. both of VA, Rosemary Wiseman of RI and Grace C. "Trina" Parkinson of Stoughton. He was the Grandfather of Zachary, Julia, Lily, Willow and Jack. He also leaves his brother Robert H. of TX.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 5-8 PM. Donations in Jack's name may be made to the American Lung Assn., 25 Spring St., Walpole, 02081-4302. Interment will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.

GLADYS F. KELLEY

Funeral Mass: Thursday, September 30, 9 AM, Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton.
Gladys F. Kelley, 74, died unexpectedly at home in Taunton on Saturday, September 25. She was the daughter of the late John A. and Gladys F. ( White ) Kelley. Born in Stoughton, Miss Kelley was a graduate of Stoughton High School. She was a resident of Taunton for 14 years after living in Stoughton for most of her life. She was a secretary at Wheaton College in Norton for many years before retiring 6 years ago.
Miss Kelley is survived by her brother, James R. "Brud" Kelley of Stoughton and her sister, Virginia A. Swallow of N. Easton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John F. Kelley, Myles M. Kelley and Robert E. Kelley.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday at 8: 15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton. Donations in Gladys' name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, 01701.

KENNETH H. STARK

Funeral Prayers: Saturday, September 25, 10 AM, Farley Funeral Home.
Kenneth H. Stark, 61, died unexpectedly at Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood on Tuesday, September 21. He was the husband of Cecelia A. (Tashjian) Stark. Born in Boston, Mr. Stark was educated in Quincy schools. He has resided in Avon for 5 years after living in Whitman, Quincy and Pembroke for several years. Mr. Stark worked as an electrician and in maintenance at Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton for 6 months after working at Chateau Westgate in Brockton for 6 years and Stanbro Electric in Rockland for several years. Mr. Stark was a member of the Hanson Athletic Assn. and the VFW in Whitman. He was a former member of the Rockland Eagles. In his free time he enjoyed horseshoes, sports, animals, music, playing guitar, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by all.
Along with his wife, Cecelia, he is survived by his mother, Helen (Campbell) Stark of Quincy, his children, Laurie A. Adams of Weymouth, Linda E. Abbe of N. Falmouth and Kenneth A. Stark of Quincy, his stepchildren, Anna Clement of FL, William Evers of Wareham, Kathy Roberts of Rockland, Susan LaRosa of Randolph and Cynthia Perrault of Avon and his brothers, Robert Stark of Weymouth, Jack Stark of Marshfield and Alan Stark of Hanover. He is also survived by his former wife, Ann F. (Duffy) Leary of Quincy, 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Stark and his brother, James Stark.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8 PM. Interment will take place at Colebrook Cemetery in Whitman. Donations in Ken's name may be made to the MSPCA, 1300 W. Elm St. Ext., Brockton, 02301.

JACQUELYN B. (CORBIN) BERNARD

Jacquelyn B. (Corbin) Bernard, 78, died Wednesday, September 15 at the Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. Born in Levant, ME, the daughter of the late John B. Corbin and Avanelle (Goodwin) Corbin, Mrs. Bernard was a graduate of Bangor High School Class of 1944 in Bangor, ME. She resided in Stoughton since 1956. She was the former buseiness owner of New England Duct Cleaning Co. and New England RustCoat in Braintree, MA from 1960 until retirement in 1990.
Mrs. Bernard is survived by her children, Richard J. Terry, Linda M. Pane and John W. Bernard all of Stoughton and her sister, Charlene R. Holmes of CT. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Terry Angelos, Mark R. Terry, James A. Pane, Jr., Benjamin E. Pane, Heather L. Pane, Carl W. Bernard, USMC and John R. Bernard and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her former husband, William S. Bernard.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday at 9: 30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10: 30 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-6 PM. Interment will be held at a later date in Stamford, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jackie's name may be made to Immaculate Conception LIFE TEEN Youth Ministry or Immaculate Conception Food Pantry, 122 Canton St., Stoughton, 02072.

MATILDE (FREITAS) CABRAL

Funeral Mass: Saturday, September 18, 9 AM, Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton.
Matilde (Freitas) Cabral, 77, died at home in Stoughton on Wednesday, September 15 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of Jose N. Cabral. Born and educated in Flores, Portugal, Mrs. Cabral was a resident of Stoughton for over 30 years. She worked at Morse Shoe in Stoughton for 20 years before retiring 12 years ago.
In addition to her husband, Jose, Mrs. Cabral is survived by her daughter, Filomena Gomes and her husband Oscar of Taunton, her brothers, Vitorino F. America and Jose F. America and her sister, Angelina Carvalho all of Stoughton. She is also survived by her grandsons, Dustin and Ryan Gomes and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 8: 15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 5-9 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton.

ALLAN R. COTE'

Allan R. Cote', 58, died at home in Stoughton on Tuesday, September 7 after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Judith M. (Theriault) Cote'. Born in Providence, RI and educated in Rhode Island schools, Mr. Cote' was a resident of Stoughton for over 20 years. He was the owner of A & J Painting in Stoughton for over 25 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Sons of Italy in Stoughton.
In addition to his wife Judith, Mr. Cote' is survived by his daughter, Marlene Y. Silva of Stoughton and his stepchildren, Dennis McAvoy and Suzette McAvoy both of Ohio. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his stepson, William McAvoy.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 3 PM. Visiting Hours prior to the prayer service from 1-3 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Allan's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, 01701.
