AUGUSTINA (GONSALVES) CAVANAUGH

Augustina (Gonsalves) Cavanaugh, 77, died at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Friday, November 30 after a period of failing health. She is the wife of George L. Cavanaugh. Born and educated in Stoughton, Mrs. Cavanaugh has lived in West Bridgewater for the past 42 years. She was an assembler for Pyrotector in Hingham for 8 years after working as a stitcher at several area companies. She retired in 1986. She was also an avid bowler and loved gardening.
In addition to her husband George, Mrs. Cavanaugh is survived by her siblings, Manuel Gonsalves of Mashpee, Mary Texeira of N. Easton, Joseph Gonsalves of Hyde Park, Theresa McGrath of Stuart, FL, Isabelle Hinchliffe of Stoughton and Edward Gonsalves of Brockton, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John Gonsalves, Anthony Gonsalves and Frank Gonsalves and a sister, Elizabeth Gonsalves.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) STOUGHTON on Monday at 8: 15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Interment will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery
in West Bridgewater.
LEILA E. (THOMAS) McGRATH

Leila E. (Thomas) McGrath, 87, died at home in Stoughton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late John J. McGrath. Born in Portland, ME, Mrs. McGrath graduated from Boston schools. She has been a resident of Stoughton for 52 years. She was a housewife at home with her family.
Mrs. McGrath is survived by her daughters, Carol A. Ventresco of Leesburg, FL, Nancy J. Crowley of Grand Island, FL, Joan E. Ireland of Village Green, FL and Linda J. Robicheau of Stoughton, as well as her sisters, Constance I. Hart of Augusta, ME and Nora K. Barca of Crystal Lake, IL. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) STOUGHTON on Saturday at 10: 30 AM. Visiting Hours will be prior to the service from 9-10: 30 AM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton following the service.
MARGARET "PEGGY" PIPIA

Margaret "Peggy" Pipia, 74, died Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. Born in Brockton, she was a graduate of Brockton Schools. Miss Pipia was a longtime employee of Washburn Candy Factory in Brockton and retired at age 65. She was a member of the Matfield Woods Association and enjoyed playing Bingo in her free time.
She leaves her sister Rose Copello of Brockton, formerly of West Bridgewater, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) STOUGHTON on Friday at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ann's Church, West Bridgewater at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-7 PM. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery
in Brockton.
MARCEL HAUSAMMANN

Marcel Hausammann, 83, died at his daughter's home in Assonet on Monday, November 26 after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Jean (Crean). Born in Peoria, Illinois, Mr. Hausammann was educated in Illinois before serving his country in the European theater during World War II. He moved to Massachusetts in the 1940's and settled in Stoughton, where he lived for 20 years before moving to Randolph. He was a resident of Randolph for over 25 years. Mr. Hausammann worked as a packer and shipper for Rust Craft Card in Dedham for many years after working at Plymouth Rubber in Stoughton for 17 years. He has been retired since 1982. In his free time he was active in bowling leagues at Westgate Lanes in Brockton.
Mr. Hausammann is survived by his children: Gretchen L. Wanat of N. Easton, Mark Hausammann and his wife Marilyn of Stoughton, Sarah Bonham and her husband John of Assonet, Ellen F. Culver of VT, Ruth Wilkens and her husband Bruce of Littleton, Paul Hausammann of NH and Andrew Hausammann of NV, as well as a brother, James Hausammann of FL. Mr. Hausammann is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Rachael Smith who together with her mother, father and husband Randy helped care for him, Amy and David Wanat, Nicholas and Christine Hausammann, Christopher and Matthew Culver, Gretchen and Amanda Hausammann, Charles and Andrew Hausammann and two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Marcel's granddaughter Dawn and his brother, Edwin Hausammann and 2 sisters, Genevieve Fransiscovich and Elizabeth Maxwell preceded him in death.

ALFREDA A. (FONTAINE) JOYAL

Alfreda A. (Fontaine) Joyal, 95 died Sunday, February 3, at home. She was the wife of the late Rosario Joyal. Born in Dalton, NH, she was educated at Mt. St. Mary's School in Hooksett, NH. She was a resident of Stoughton for the past 37 years. She worked as an Assembler at Honeywell in Brighton for over 20 years and retired in 1965. She also worked for F.C. Phillips in Stoughton. She was a member of the Stoughton Golden Agers. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, baking and making Sunday dinner for her family.
She leaves her children Albert A. of Buzzards Bay and FL, J. Paul of Brockton, Anita T. Collins of Rockland, Marie V. Beaudoin of Bourne, Rita Ann O'Leary of MD and Alfred H. Joyal of Brockton. Sister in law of Eleanor Joyal of CT and Priscilla Fontaine of Brighton. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.

EDWARD T. "NED" COUGHLIN

Edward T. "Ned" Coughlin, 73, died at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Thursday, January 31, after a period of failing health. He was the beloved husband of Helen K. (McMahon) Coughlin. Born in Boston, Mr. Coughlin was educated in Dorchester schools and graduated from Boston English High School. He has resided in Stoughton since 1960. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Coughlin was a supervisor at Boston Edison for many years before retiring in 1990. He was an avid sports fan and played football and hockey in his youth.
Along with his wife, Helen, Mr. Coughlin is survived by his daughters, Mrs. David (Kathleen) Bezarro of Brockton, Mary Beth Coughlin of Milton, Mrs. William (Patricia) Morgan, Jr. of Brockton and Annmarie Coughlin of Stoughton. He was the loving grandfather, "Gumpa, " of Heather and Michael Bezarro and Erin and Owen Morgan. He is also the beloved brother of Mary F. Coughlin of Boston. He was predeceased by his grandson, Kevin Bezarro, and his brother, Daniel J. Coughlin, Jr.

Dorothy V. Lurtsema, 87, died Saturday at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late John S. Born in New Haven, CT, she was a resident of Stoughton for over 45 years. She worked as a researcher at the Cumberland Farms Corporate Offices in Canton for 15 years, retiring at age 68. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, bowling, and spending time with her family.
She was the mother of Jacqueline M. MacLennan of Raynham, Lorraine Nordlinger and David G. both of Tucson, AZ and the late Robert J. Mrs. Lurtsema was the sister of Frances Simmonnetti and Adlyn O'Conner both of CT, Rose Rickman of Attleboro, Evelyn Horowitz of FL and the late George Catougno, Harry Catougno, Betty Reynolds, Rita Morrison and Marilyn Carselli. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

WILLIAM A. ALLEN

William A. Allen, 47, died unexpectedly Friday at the Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick. Born in Boston, he was raised in Stoughton and attended Stoughton and Easton Schools. He was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School in Easton. He also attended Massasoit Community College. He was a resident of Natick for the last 3 years. He worked as a clerk at the Honey Farms Convenience Store in Natick. In his free time, he enjoyed coin collecting and playing guitar.
He was the father of Brandon K. Allen and Chase Allen both of GA. He was the son of of Allison I. (Baxter) Donahue and her husband John F. Donahue of Stoughton and the late George R. Allen. He was the brother of Roberta DeBaggis and her husband William of Rehoboth and David M. Allen and his wife Julia Eddy-Dixon of Framingham. He is also survived by his niece Amy B. Gillespie and three nephews, Matthew P. Lucier, Jonathan Allen and Gavin Allen.
Funeral services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday Night, January 28, at 8 PM. Visiting Hours prior to the service from 5-8 PM. BRONIE A. (BLAISIS) SHEEHAN

Bronie A. (Blaizis) Sheehan, 83, died Wednesday, January 23, at the Goddard Transitional Care Center in Stoughton after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Coleman "Coky" Sheehan. Born in Stoughton, she was educated in Stoughton Schools. She worked as a stitcher at Corcoran Shoe for many years and has been retired for over 20 years. In her free time she enjoyed gardening and sewing.
She leaves her daughter Joan B. Barrett of Stoughton. She was the grandmother of Debra Karavetsos of Taunton and Jean Filolungo of Canton and the sister of Albina Czyras of Stoughton. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.

Francisco O. Ramos, 54, died Thursday, January 24, at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a long period of failing health. He was the husband of Maria A. (Freitas) Ramos. Born in Portugal, he immigrated to the United States 28 years ago and settled in Stoughton. He worked as a machine operator for Ark Les Switch in Stoughton for many years. He was a member of Club Luis de Camoes, the Holy Ghost Society and the Azores Club, all in Stoughton. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his siblings: Antonio Ramos of Stoughton, Jose Ramos, Joao Ramos and Maria Dias all of Portugal. He is also survived by 1 niece and 7 nephews.
