A Funeral was held from the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. ROCKLAND on Thursday, July 21 at 9: 00 AM. A Funeral Mass followed in St Joseph the Worker Church in Hanson at 10: 00 AM. Calling Hours were on Wednesday, July 20 from 5-8 PM.
Anna died Sunday at her home in Hanson after a period of failing health. She was born in Boston daughter of the late James, and Bertha Hughes. Anna was raised and educated in the Mission Hill neighborhood of Boston. Anna later moved to Whitman where she would live for 35 years.
Anna loved to play Bingo at the Pembroke community Center. Mrs. Galvin loved to travel, she especially liked taking trips to Disney Land. More than anything however Anna loved spending time with her Grandchildren. Burial took place in St. James Cemetery
in Whitman.
Agnes C. (McGrath) Hiltz-Enella, of Reading. July 15, 2005 Age 86 . Widow of Lindsay Hiltz, and John Enella. Mother of Judy A. Bleicher and her husband George of CT, Gayle E. Means and her husband Paul of Stoneham, Jayne E. Hendricks of Mashpee, and the late Charlotte Clark. Sister of the late Jack F. McGrath, Thomas A. McGrath, and Helen Leonard. Survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Agnes died on Friday in the Bear Hill Nursing Home in Stoneham after a period of failing health. She was born in Rockland daughter of the late Thomas and Ellen (Linehan) McGrath, and was raised and educated in South Weymouth graduating from Weymouth High School.
In 1940 Agnes moved to Holbrook where she would spend the next forty years. Mrs. Hiltz-Enella was a member of the Brookville Grange. She loved to play cards and to spend time vacationing at her homes in Florida and in Popponesset Cape Cod. Agnes especially loved to spend time with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Burial followed the Funeral Mass in Holy Family Cemetery
in Rockland.
Arnold L. "Lenny" Anderson, of Whitman July 15, 2005 Age 61. Father of Steven Anderson and his wife Laura of Halifax, Paul Anderson of Mansfied, Joseph Anderson of Pemroke, John Anderson of Whitman and Marie Anderson of Norwood. Brother Linda Smith of Hanson and Laura Volk of Scituate. Also survived by three Nieces and several Cousins.

Lenny died in an accidental fall at his home in Whitman on Friday. Born in Quincy, he was raised in Abington graduating from Abington High School in 1962. He had spent the past 17 years living in Whitman where he moved from Abington. He was the son of the late Aili W. (Aalto) and Arnold L. Anderson.
Mr. Anderson also attended Massasoit Community College and Suffolk University. Mr. Anderson was a senior auditor for A. I. G. Insurance Co. for many years at their office in Boston. He enjoyed traveling sports and his family.
Frances B. (Creedon) Clancy, of Middleboro formerly of Rockland. July 11, 2005 Age 78. Wife of George J. Clancy, Jr. Mother of James F. Clancy of Harwichport, Marie B. Lundin of Stoughton, George E. Clancy of Littleton, Patricia A. Condry of Middleboro and Matthew M. Clancy of Rochester, MA. Sister of John Creedon of NJ, Lawrence Creedon of Falmouth, Eugene Creedon of Quincy, Peter Joseph Creedon and Bernard Creedon of NY. and the late Paul Creedon. Also survived by 13 grandchildren.

Frances died on Monday in the Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. She was born, raised and educated in North Quincy the daughter of the late Peter and Mabel ( LeBlanc ) Creedon. She was a graduate of the Woodward School for Girls and attended Fisher College in Boston. Mrs. Clancy was a former Abington resident and had made her home in Rockland from 1967-2002. She was a resident of Middleboro for the past three years.
She was a member of the Sodality of Our Lady at St. Bridget’s Parish in Abington and had served as a CCD teacher, Eucharistic Minister, Parish Council Member and Baptism Team Member at Holy Family Parish in Rockland. Frances was committed to God, the Blessed Virgin Mary and her family.
She volunteered her talents with the Girl Scouts of Rockland where she served as a leader and also with the Rockland Visiting Nurse Association assisting new mothers with well baby visits. Burial followed the Funeral Mass in Holy Family Cemetery
in Rockland.
Julia T. Cronin, of Rockland formerly of Dorchester, July 8, 2005 Age 69. Daughter of the late Mortimer J. and Julia T. (Connolly) Cronin. Sister of Ann C. Moran of Rockland, John F. Cronin of FL. and the late Joseph F. Cronin, Catherine A. Smith, Neil J. Cronin, Sr. Mary Eileen S.M.S.M. (Elizabeth T. Cronin), Timothy A. Cronin, Mortimer J. Cronin and Mary T. Davis. Also survived by several cousins and nieces and nephews.

Miss Cronin died on Friday in the North East Specialty Hospital in Braintree after a period of failing health. She was born, raised and educated in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood and was a graduate of St. Patrick’s Grammar and High Schools in the city.
She has made her home in Rockland for the past 35 years. She had formerly been employed at Boston Mutual Co. and she retired in 1993 after a 30-year career at the Rockland Trust Co. as a supervisor in the data entry department. Burial will follow the Funeral Mass in Holy Family Cemetery

David Linwood Esancy, of Rockland, July 7, 2005 Age 67. Son of the late Linwood and Florence (Higginson) Esancy. Brother of Richard W. Esancy and his wife Janet of Pembroke, Karen A. Esancy of Kingston and the late Carol S. Perry. Also survived by three nephews and two nieces
A Funeral Service was held in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. ROCKLAND on Tuesday, July 12th at 11: 30 AM. Calling hours were on Monday, July 11th from 5-8 PM. A Knights Templar Service was held at the close of visitation at 8: 00PM on Monday.
David died suddenly after a brief illness. Mr. Esancy was a retired Chief Court Officer for the Boston Housing Court and long time Technical Writer for Honeywell and National Radio Co.
Born in Boston, he attended Boston English High School, Boston Latin School, Boston College High School, and also Northeastern University. In his early years he worked as a field supervisor of installations for the FAA.
Mr. Esancy was an active Mason and Shriner. Having served as Worshipful Master for Joseph Webb Lodge of Boston, St. John’s Lodge of Boston, and Theodore Roosevelt Lodge (now Delta Lodge) of Quincy; he was also the Lodge Secretary for Winslow Lewis Lodge in Boston.
He served as Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templars in Mass. & R.I. in 1974. He was also a past Commander of Boston Commandery #2, in Boston, Past Illustrious Master of Boston Council, R.& S.M. in Boston, and a past High Priest of St. Andrews RAC in Boston. He was also an active degree worker in the Scottish Rite, Valley of Boston.
Mr. Esancy served as Illustrious Potentate of Aleppo Temple Shriners in Wilmington in 1987, and is a past Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, Boston Burns Institute. Civically, he served for many years on the Board of Overseers of Mt. Ida College

Natalie died on Sunday at the Beverly Manor Nursing Home in Plymouth. She was born in Assinnippi, daughter of the late Harold and Esther (Valle) Sears and was raised and educated in Rockland. She has resided in Marshfield for the past 42 years.
She retired in 1992 after a long career as a bookkeeper for Tedeschi Realty Company. Natalie enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with friends and family. Burial followed the Funeral Mass in Holy family Cemetery
in Rockland.
Frederick L. Borden, of Rockland. July 2, 2005 Age 68. Father of Donna L. Pelland of Marshfield, James M. Borden of Mansfield and Lisa A. Doyle of Middleboro. Brother of Robert Borden of Lynn, William Borden of Rockland, James Borden of Abington, Diane Kane of CA and the late Marion Furlong. Loving companion of Mary A. Tasney of Rockland. Grandfather of Elissa Pelland, Erika Doyle, Amanda Doyle, Michael Borden, Daniel Borden, James Borden and Sam Borden. Also survived by his former wife, Elissa Giacobbi of Mansfield.

Frederick died on Saturday in the South Shore Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Boston, son of the late Robert and Marion (Height) Borden and was raised and educated there. He was a graduate of South Boston High School. Mr. Borden was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and has made his home in Rockland for the past 35 years.
Fred was a member of the Laborers Union Local #138 and had served for many years as a foreman for Barkan Construction Co. in Boston. Burial followed the Funeral Mass in the Massachusetts National Cemetery
in Bourne.
Matthew M. Delaney, Jr., of Carver, July 2, 2005 Age 79. Husband of the late Julia A. (Perry) Delaney. Father of Gale A. Magno of Canton, Dr. Matthew M. Delaney III of Abington, Richard W. Delaney of Quincy, Thomas M. Delaney of Abington and Bruce W. Delaney of FL. Brother of the late Rita Clifford. Also survived by seven grandchildren and his loving longtime companion, Margaret A. Fall of Carver.

Matthew, formerly of Norwood and Pompano Beach, FL, died at home after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born in Gloucester on October 17, 1925, he was a graduate of South Boston High School, and a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy.
A descendant of generations of seafarers, he was a commercial licensed captain, expert navigator, and worked most of his career in the international fisheries, transportation, and marine service industries.
He was a world traveler, member of the Elks and VFW, an avid reader, and he loved boating.
Interment followed in Calvary Cemetery
in Gloucester.

Brother of Edward Costa of Wrentham, Manny Costa of Norwood, Robert Costa of Brockton, Judy Wallace of TX, Richard Costa of FLA, Beatrice Michaud of CT, Mary Gamache of CT, Terry Bristol of FLA, Linda Barnard of CO, and the late Jesse Costa Jr. Grandfather of Joshua R. Witt and Meaghan R. O’Reilly both of Plymouth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Raymond died Wednesday at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston after a long illness. He was born in Putnam CT. son of the late Jesse and Beatrice (Tareco) Costa.
Raymond later moved to Stoughton at the age of 10 where he was raised and educated graduating from Stoughton High School. Mr. Costa worked as a Warehouse Supervisor for Isam-Mitchell Company in Brockton for 25 years. He had lived in Rockland with his wife for almost 40 years. Mr. Costa really enjoyed to take his boat out on Scituate Harbor for saltwater fishing. He also loved to spend time with his family and very much enjoyed a good dinner out. The funeral Mass will be followed by cremation.
