Clancy and his wife Mary Jane Clancy, all of Brockton; loving grandmother of Michael V. Clancy Jr., Maxwell G. Clancy, Maguire T. Clancy and Julia E. Clancy; loving sister of Judy Fisher and her husband Dr. Dale Fisher of Bridgewater; also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St. (Rt. 123), Brockton, on Monday at 8 a.m., thence to St. Edith Stein Church, 71 East Main St., Brockton, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 9 a.m. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Harwichport. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home Sunday 2-6 p.m. Donations in Janice's name may be made to the Hospice & Palliative Care of Cape Cod, 270 Communications Way, Hyannis, MA 02115, or to the Brockton Hospital School of Nursing Scholarship Fund in Janice (Dubois) Clancy's name, 680 Centre St., Brockton, MA 02302.

COTTI

Of Plymouth, Joseph Lewis, age 63, died on Oct. 7, 2004, at Morton Hospital in Taunton. He was the loving son of the late Anello and Mary Rose (Roncarati) Cotti; beloved brother of Alan Cotti of Plymouth, Melvin Cotti of Plymouth and Wayne Cotti of Carver. Also brother of the late Kevin Cotti and Mary Mathewson. Survived by several nieces and nephews. The funeral will take place on Monday, Oct. 11, 2004, from the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth, at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Mary's Church in North Plymouth at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Plymouth. Donations in Mr. Cotti's memory may be made to the Plymouth Bay House, 340 Court St., Plymouth, MA 02360.

EASTMAN

Harold F., of Holbrook, formerly of Readville, Oct. 6, 2004, age 89, beloved husband of Marion (Murray) Eastman; brother of Doris Eastman of Walpole; stepfather of Margaret Santos of Watertown, Sheila Grasso of Saugus, Michael Inman of Holbrook, Kathy Inman of Westboro and Joanne Alkonquist of Carver; step-grandfather of Lynne Lougee of Taunton, John Santos of Marlboro, Gregory Grasso and Lisa Grasso, both of Saugus; step-great-grandfather of Stephanie Gauthier, John Marvin, Mike Marvin and Jessica Lougee. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday afternoon 2 to 5 p.m. Followed by a funeral service at 5 p.m. in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common St., Walpole. Burial will be private.

GUIDABONI

Of Plymouth, Oct. 7, Eclove (Poluzzi), 93, beloved wife of the late Joseph Guidaboni; mother of Melvin Guidaboni of Carver and Arline Holt of Bridgewater; sister of the late Louis Poluzzi and Norma Cappella. She also leaves four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 11:30 a.m. at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St., North Plymouth. Visiting hours will be from 9:30 to 11.30 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 36 Cameron Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140-1102.

HERMENAU

Arthur T., of Carver, formerly of Pembroke, Oct. 5, age 74 years, beloved husband of Shirley (Cummings) Hermenau; loving father of Steven M. Hermenau and his wife Sandra of Lakeville, Ronald S. Hermenau of San Francisco, Gary A. Hermenau and his girlfriend Debbie of Plymouth, Lori A. Cahill and her husband Matt of Pembroke, and Lisa M. Hedding and her husband Phil of Middleboro; brother of Carl Hermenau of Martha's Vineyard, William Hermenau of Taunton, Marie Hadfield of Westport and the late Walter Hermenau and the late Louise Allingham; beloved papa of seven grandchildren; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 12, at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St., Kingston, at 9:30 a.m. Interment in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, at 11:30 a.m. Visiting hours on Monday 4-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.

Of Brockton, Oct. 7, 2004, Grace B. (Quirk) James, 82 years, wife of the late Charles J. James; mother of Susan E. Bower of Brockton and Thomas K. James of New Hampshire; grandmother of Sheri Ward, Amie Rowley, Hayden and Rylan James and great-grandmother of six. Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Tuesday at 8 a.m. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 a.m. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, at 11:15 a.m. Visiting hours Monday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West St., Brockton, MA 02301; St. Jude's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the charity of one's choice.

In Falmouth, Oct. 8, George H., age 89 years, of Falmouth, formerly of North Easton and Brockton, husband of the late Virginia "Gyp" (Bird) Knowlton; son of the late Charles H. and Olive M. (McDonald) Knowlton; father of Barry G. Knowlton of Falmouth and Gregory Knowlton of Texas ; brother of Evelyn Cobb of West Bridgewater; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews also survive; father of the late Douglas and Ronald Knowlton; brother of the late Charles Knowlton and Olive (Knowlton) Walsh.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date in this publication by the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne.

Black and her husband Gene of Mansfield and Arthur and his wife Laurie of East Bridgewater; sister of Marilyn Jachetti Whirry of California; grandmother of Joanna, Anthony and Nicholas Black, Matthew and Alyssa Penardi. Also survived by her great-grandchildren, Vincent and Dante Black and many nieces and nephews. Of Quincy, Wednesday, Oct. 6, Edward F. Satchell-Force, after a long illness, age 77, beloved son of the late Mary E. Satchell; beloved brother of Martha Leary of Quincy, Jack Force of Abington, Paul and Paula Satchell of Indiana and the late Mildred Snell; dear friend of Mary Mokillo of Quincy. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. SPENCER

Robert C. Davis, 88, of Lincoln Street, formerly of Sarasota, Fla., died Thursday, Oct. 7, at Mary Lane Hospital in Ware. His wife, Frances L. (Hunt) Davis, died in 1996. He leaves a son, William Davis of Vero Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Nancy R. Whittaker of Spencer and a brother, Russell Davis of Spencer; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Robert was predeceased by a son, John R. Davis and a brother, Richard Davis. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of Welcome and Sarah (Jones) Davis and graduated from Brockton High School. Mr. Davis worked as a carpenter for the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute in Falmouth for many years. A memorial service will be held on Monday, Oct. 11, at 9 a.m. in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 163 Main St., Spencer. Burial will be private in Coweeset Cemetery in Brockton. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 10. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.

WINTERSON

Of Brockton, Oct. 8, Eleanor M. (MacGrath), 82, wife of the late John J. Winterson; mother of Adele King of Brockton, Susan Triller of Cohasset, Carol Nickerson of Weymouth, Mary (Beth) Abbondandolo of Brockton and the late Mark Winterson; also survived by 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be on Monday at 8 a.m. from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle), Whitman, followed by a funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Colman's Church, Brockton.
