Murphy), beloved member of the Congregation of Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston for 72 years and the Bethany Community in Framingham, died Thursday, June 17, 2004, daughter of the late Michael J. and Mary E. (Byrne) Murphy; formerly missioned at Fontbonne Hall, Framingham; Cardinal Spellman, Brockton; Keith Hall, Lowell; St. Mary's Boys, Lynn; St. Patrick, Natick; St. Joseph, Quincy; St. Thomas, Jamaica Plain; Our Lady, Newton. Survived by her nephews, Michael J. Morris of Plymouth, Robert F. Morris of Quincy and the Rev. John S. Morris of Worcester; her nieces, Christine Harvey of Kingston and Mary Ellis of Florida; sister of the late Msgr. James Murphy, Joseph G. Murphy, Francis M. Murphy, Helen G. Murphy, Margaret Murphy, Mary Morris and Eileen Gill. Visiting hours at St. Joseph Hall, 93 Bethany Road, Framingham, will be Sunday from 3:30-5 and 6-7 p.m. A vigil prayer service will be held at 7, followed by a funeral Mass in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, 97 Bethany Road, Framingham. Albert Alexander, 76, of Gray Gables, died on Thursday, June 17, 2004, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Boston, beloved husband of Judith A. Riordan Smith, also of Gray Gables; loving father of Elizabeth Ludvigsen of Raynham, Lauren Woodward of East Bridgewater, Susan Smith of Bourne; and three sons, Michael Riordan of Los Gatos, Calif., and Bourne, Brendon Riordan of Morgan Hill, Calif., and William Smith of Hampstead, N.H.; also survived by his sister, Carol Wiltshire of Vernon, Conn., 11 grandchildren, sons- and daughters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
