Eunice Siudara, 84

NORFOLK -- Eunice V. Siudara, 84, of Massachusetts Avenue, died Wednesday in the Charwell Nursing Home, Norwood. She was the widow of Kasimer Siudara.

Born in Webster, N.Y., on Dec. 5, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Esther (Hockenberger) Vander Millen. She had resided in Norfolk for one year, previously living in Rochester, N.Y., for 83 years. She had also owned a cottage at the Lighthouse Christian Camp, Barker, N.Y.

Mrs. Siudara had been employed as a factory worker at the Taylor Instrument Co. in Rochester for 18 years, retiring in 1978.

She was a former Girl Scout leader and had been active in the Browncroft Community Church in Penfield, N.Y.

She is survived by a daughter, Virginia Sundberg of Norfolk; a sister, Zyopha Siudara of Rochester and six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

She was the mother of the late Elizabeth Weber.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Keeling-Tracy Funeral Home, 45 Common St., Walpole, with the Rev. Jerome Janisko officiating. Burial will take place in Knollwood Memorial Cemetery, Canton.

Barbara Cullen, 72

NORTH ATTLEBORO -- Barbara M. Cullen, 72, of Holmes Road, died Wednesday at home. She was the widow of James Cullen.

Born in North Attleboro on Oct. 11, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Mary (McMahon) Murphy. A lifelong North Attleboro resident, she had been educated in North Attleboro schools and had graduated from North Attleboro High School.

Mrs. Cullen had worked as a floral designer for Nolan's Flowers until her retirement.

She is survived by four sons, Peter, Paul and David Cullen, all of North Attleboro, and Christopher Cullen of Holtsville, N.Y.; a daughter, Elizabeth Carlson of North Attleboro; nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Walter Murphy Jr.

A funeral will be held at 8 a.m. Friday from the John J. Diamond Funeral Home, 180 North Washington St. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.

Phyllis Sharples, 75

NORTON -- Phyllis E. Sharples, 75, died Wednesday in Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro, after a period of failing health.

Born in Attleboro on April 13, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Hazel (Gammon) Price Sr. She had been educated in Attleboro schools and was a graduate of Attleboro High School. She had also graduated from the Chamberlain School of Retailing and the Modern School of Design. She had resided in Norton for the past 44 years.

Mrs. Sharples had worked at the Sinclair Manufacturing Co. as a purchasing agent for several years until retiring.

She had been active in scouting in Norton and had also been a notary public.

She is survived by two sons, Craig Sharples of East Taunton and Tracy Sharples of Edgartown; two daughters, Ann Titus of Norton and Cynthia Braybant of Canaan, N.H.; a brother, Frank Price Jr. of Attleboro; two sisters, Elinor Gustafson of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Carol Eustance of Goshen, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St., off Route 140. Burial will be private.

Rev. John Mahoney, 80

Former pastor, St. Martha's Church

BOSTON -- The Rev. John P. Mahoney, 80, of William Cardinal O'Connell Way, died Monday in St. Patrick's Manor, Framingham.

Born in Brockton on Sept. 28, 1920, he was the son of the late Jeremiah and Nora (Cronin) Mahoney. He was a 1938 graduate of Brockton High School and had attended Boston College and St. John's Seminary.

Father Mahoney had taught at St. Sebastian Country Day School for 25 years, and had served as curite at Our Lady of Sorrows and St. Mary's Church in Hanover.

Father Mahoney had served as pastor of St. Martha's Church in Plainville for 20 years, until his retirement at the Regina Cleri in Boston.

He was a lifetime pioneer and had enjoyed traveling, golfing, photography, and caring for people and animals.

He is survived by a sister, Mary Lowndes in New York and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Daniel, James, and Joseph Mahoney.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 am. Tuesday in St. Martha's Church, South Street, Plainville, followed by burial in Plainville Cemetery, Plainville.

Arrangements are by the John J. Diamond Funeral Home, 180 North Washington St., North Attleboro.

Perrault of East Bridgewater; sisters, Mary Lawson of Pawtucket, R.I., Hellen Gendreau of Melbourne, Fla., and Beatrice Sanocki of Somerset; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was a well-known interior decorator with Robb & Stuckey in Ft. Myers for many years. A Mass of Christian burial was held Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, at the Church of the Resurrection in Ft. Myers. Sughrue and his wife Agnes of Concord, N.H.; brother-in-law of C. Louise Sughrue of Cambridge; close friend of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Healy of Pocasset; also survived by numerous grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews, and all his brothers of the Holy Cross community.
