Warren E. Fuller, 58
Plainville - Warren E. Fuller Jr., 58, of Lynn Avenue died Tuesday, September 16, 2003 in Sturdy Memorial Hospital. Formerly of Quincy, MA for 19 years.
Born July 1, 1945 in Boston, MA he was a son of the late Warren Sr. and Mary (Arnott) Fuller.
Mr. Fuller attended Roslindale High School and then became a tug boat operator in Quincy for 12 years. He enjoyed the ocean, and collecting trains as well as maritime memorabilia.
He is survived by a sister Carol Jollimore of Plainville, MA and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Marilyn Marks.

John E. Cosgray, 79, - Attleboro Falls School Crossing Gaurd
North Attleboro - John E. Cosgray, 79, of Lakewood Drive died Tuesday, September 16, 2003 in Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
He was the husband of 57 years to Irene Cosgray.
Born May 23, 1924 in Hundred, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Hugh and Josephine (Moore) Cosgray. He was a resident of North Attleboro for 43 years.
Mr. Cosgray attended Hundred High School, in Hundred, WV before joining the Marine Corps in 1942. He was with the 28th Division and helped raise the U.S. Flag over Iwo Jima. He also was awarded the Purple Heart after being wounded in action.
He worked as a polisher for the Foxboro Company for 30 years. He then became a crossing guard for Attleboro Falls School at the intersection of Mt. Hope and Elm St. for 12 years.
Mr. Cosgray is a member of the DAV Local Chapter #56 and loved animals.
Besides his wife his survivors include two daughters Donna Barton and Darlene Brownell both of North Attleboro; Five sisters Norma Williamson of WV, Louise Morris of WV, Doris Haines of OH, Kathrine Jacobson of CT and Martha Schefflick of MD; a brother Donald Cosgray of CA; two grandchildren Gregory Barton and Heather Barton both of North Attleboro; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
A funeral will be held in the SPERRY & McHOUL FUNERAL HOME, 15 Grove St., North Attleboro, on Friday, September 19, 2003 at 10 a.m. Burial with Veterans Honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Anne T. Rose, 86
NORTH ATTLEBORO - Anne T. Rose, 86, of North Attleboro died Sunday morning, September 14, 2003 in Madonna Manor Nursing Home, North Attleboro.
Born September 18, 1916 in Boston, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Annie B. (Keaney) Ford. Mrs. Rose has been a resident of North Attleboro for over a year and previously lived several years in Mansfield. She lived most of her life in the Mission Hill Section of Boston.
Mrs. Rose had been a telephone operator for Sears & Roebuck in Allston for over 20 years. She was an avid knitter and a past communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield.
Her survivors include a daughter, Patricia Kirker of Mansfield; two sisters, Margaret Murray of Mansfield and Cecelia McFadden of Scituate; 2 granddaughters and 4 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held in the Madonna Manor Nursing Home Chapel, 85 North Washington Street, North Attleboro on Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. Visiting hours will be Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro.
Joseph Jodoin, 72
STUART, FL - Joseph Jean Louis Jodoin, 72, of Southwest River Drive died Saturday evening, September 13, 2003 in Martin Memorial Hospital, Stuart, FL. He was the husband of Carol (Ayles) Jodoin.
Born August 8, 1931 in New Bedford, he was a son of the late Jodeph and Anna (Gosselin) Jodoin. Mr. Jodoin has been a resident of Stuart for the past year and previously lived over 20 years in North Attleboro. He grew up in New Bedford.
He was a graduate of St. Anthony’s High School in New Bedford and received a Bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Massachusetts University (now Univ. of Mass., Dartmouth) in engineering. Mr. Jodoin was a self-employed mechanical engineering consultant for many years.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Janice Doran of New Hampshire; 5 sons, Jeffrey Jodoin of Newport, RI, Vincent Jodoin of FL, David Jodoin of NH, Francis Jodoin of Cumberland, RI and James Jodoin of Warwick, RI; Two brothers, Leo Jodoin of South Dartmouth and Joseph Henry Jodoin of New Bedford; Also survived by 15 grandchildren.
A funeral will be held from the SPERRY & McHOUL FUNERAL HOME, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro on Saturday, September 20 9 a.m. followed by a Mass in Sacred Heart Church, North Attleboro at 10 O'clock..
Visiting will be Friday, September 19 at a time to be announced.

Pearl Janet Henderson, 87
FALMOUTH - Pearl Janet Henderson, age 87, of Falmouth, formerly of Foxboro died on September 11, 2003 in Falmouth, MA. She is survived by her husband, Irving W. Henderson, her daughter, Joyce I. Keay, and her son-in-law, Donald L. Keay (all of Falmouth), her sister, Elizabeth Brugnon, of Paris, France, and her grandson, Dean W. Peterson, of Shelburne, VT. Mrs. Henderson was the twin sister of the late Dr. Philip J. Haigis of Naples, FL and the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Peter J. Haigis of Foxboro, MA.
She attended Foxboro schools, Dana Hall in Wellesley, and graduated from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority.
She was a member of Bethany Congregational Church and a Charter Member of The Foxborough Country Club, a member of the Admiral Lehigh Golf Club of Florida, a member of the DAR, and a watercolorist who was the receipient of 100 awards and ribbons. She drove for FISH for 15 years.
A private memorial service will be held at a future date. Donations in her name may be made to the Bethany Church Memorial Fund, Foxboro, MA.
Robin M. McCarthy, 42
North Attleboro - Robin M. (Whitty) McCarthy, 42, of Goldie Road died Wednesday, September 10, 2003 in Sturdy Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Kevin McCarthy.
Born July 7, 1961 in Marysville, CA she was a daughter of John and Beverly (Burns) Whitty of Sunset Beach NC.
Mrs. McCarthy grew up in Marysville, CA and was a graduate of Lindhurst High School, Marysville, CA. She has been a resident of North Attleboro for the past 10 years. As a homemaker she was involved in her children's lives, active in both Little League and North Attleboro Junior Football. She was also active with the North Attleboro semi-pro team, the Renegades.
In addition to her husband and parents, survivors include two sons Patrick Ryan and Brian Kevin both of home; two sisters Debbie Davis of NC, Kathlene Tripplet of CA; a brother John Whitty of SC; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Jennifer Ann McCarthy.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
A funeral will be held on Saturday at 8 a.m. in the SPERRY & McHOUL FUNERAL HOME, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro followed by a Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 14 Park St, North Attleboro. Private Burial will take place at a later date in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.
Stephen F. Mandolesi, 83
PLAINVILLE - Stephen F. Mandolesi, 83, of School Street died Wednesday, September 10, 2003 in Norwood Hospital.
Born April 26, 1920 in Mansfield, he was a son of the late Andrea and Lavinia (Rigotti) Mandolesi. He lived most of his life in Mansfield before moving to Plainville 17 years ago.
Mr. Mandolesi was a 1938 graduate of Mansfield High School and worked for Mansfield Bleachery for many years and in 1982 retired from the Foxboro Co.
He was a Sargeant in the U.S. Army Airforce during World War II serving in the 3rd Bombardment Division. He was active in the Plainville Senior Center, was an avid sports fan and loved dancing and dining out.
Survivors include a son, Stephen F. Mandolesi of Wilbraham; a daughter, Christine Cooper of Plainville; five grandchildren, Stephen Mandolesi III of Arlington, VA, Kara Mandolesi of Wilbraham, Jason Mandolesi of Wilbraham, Joshua Cooper of Plainville and Ian Cooper of Plainville; and a companion with whom he made his home, Dorothea Kettell. He was brother of the late Anna M. Vallett.
A funeral will be held from the SPERRY & McHOUL FUNERAL HOME, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro on Monday, September 15, 2003 at 8 a.m. followed by a Mass in St. Martha's Church, Plainville at 9 O'clock. Burial with Full Veterans Honors will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting will be Sunday, September 14 from 2-6 p.m.

Arthur E. Gaskin, 73
North Attleboro - Arthur E. Gaskin Jr., 73, died Sunday, September 7, 2003 in Life Care Center of Attleboro.
He was the husband of Gloria (Gauvin) Gaskin.
Born August 17, 1930 in Boston, MA, he was a son of the late Arthur Sr. and Algeline (Tingley) Gaskin.
Mr. Gaskin is a life long resident of North Attleboro and attended North Attleboro High School. He was the owner of Art's Gun Shop in North Attleboro for over 40 years. He also worked at Webster Company as a spinner before joining the United States Marine Corp in 1952. Mr. Gaskin worked for the North Attleboro Highway Department for several years and a truck driver for Bernardo Brothers in Hyde Park and Hallamore Trucking for over 10 years. Before retiring he was a school bus driver for Tri-County for 14 years.
Mr. Gaskin is a Korean War Veteran and was awarded the National Service Medal. He was also awarded the National Championship Marksman Award in Fort Bennings, Georgia and had several other marksmanship awards presented to him by President Truman.
He is a member of the American Legion, the National Rifle Association of America and the Angle Tree Stone Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed nature and hunting and was a hunter's guide in Maine.
In addition to his wife, Gloria, survivors include a son David A. Gaskin and a daughter Jo'Ann M. Haun of Plymouth, a sister Elizabeth "Betty" Beyersdorfer of Plainville, two brothers Donald Gaskin and William Gaskin both of North Attleboro. Also survived by 3 grandchildren and serveral nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Dr. D. Eugene Leco, 80
NORTH ATTLEBORO - Dr. D. Eugene, Leco, 80, of South Washington Street died Sunday, August 24, 2003 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.
He was the husband of Lynne (Crawley) Leco and the late Victoria (Petrarca) Leco.
Born August 27, 1922 in E. Greenwich, RI, he was a son of the late Armand and Assunta (Catanio) Leco. He lived many years in E. Greenwich before moving to North Attleboro in 1949.
He was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and graduated from Rhode Island College of Pharmacy in 1942. He then received a BS from Providence College in 1943 and graduated from Tufts School of Dental Medicine where he received his DMD in 1947. He also completed advance studies courses in Pharmacology at the University of Michigan.
In 1947, he started his own dentistry practice in North Attleboro where he worked until his retirement in 1977. He taught a Toxicology course at RI College of Pharmacy, lectured at Tufts Medical and Dental Schools, was Chief of Oral Surgery at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro from 1966 -1971 where he was also Member Emeritus Staff.
Dr. Leco had also done clinical drug research for the Purdue Frederick Co, the Wampole Lab and Denver Chemical. After his retirment in 1977 he founded as was president of the Stone Realtor Co in North Attleboro and was a member of the National Association of Real Estate Boards.
He was a former member of the University Club and the Turks Head Club in Providence, the Algonquin Club in Boston, Highland Country Club in Attleboro, the Avanti Club in North Attleboro, was a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus in North Attleboro. and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.
He had served on the Tri-County School Board, was a past Director for the Mansfield Credit Union, served on the North Attleboro School Committee from 1962-1965 and was past-president of the North Attleboro Rotary Club. Dr. Leco had served on the Democratic Town Committee, was a member of the Town Government Study Committee for North Attleboro in 1970 and founded the Dr. D. Eugene Leco Dental Clinic for the North Attleboro Public School System.
He belonged to the Delta Sigma Delta and Kappa Psi fraternities and was a member of the American Dental Association, the Mass. Dental Society, the Rhode Island Dental Society and the American Academy of Oral Medicine. Dr. Leco was also a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.
In addition to his wife, Lynne, survivors include a daughter, Ann Marie Musiol of Cumberland, RI; two sons, Eugene V. Leco of North Attleboro and Richard Leco of North Attleboro; a brother, Armand P. Leco of E. Greenwich, RI, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held from the SPERRY & McHOUL FUNERAL HOME, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro on Thursday, August 28 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass in St. Mary’s Church, North Attleboro at 10 O’clock. Burial with Full Veteran Honors followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.

Brian J. Dufault, 37
North Attleboro- Brian J. Dufault, 37, died Sunday, August 24, 2003 in his home. He was the son of Charles and Nancy (Piper) Dufault of North Attleboro.
Born May 25, 1966 in Sturdy Hospital, Attleboro, he became a life long resident of North Attleboro. Mr. Dufualt was a graduate of Tri-County. He enjoyed drawing all types of art.
Besides his parents survivors include a sister Brenda Cassidy of Virginia, two brothers Charles Jr. of West Springfield, MA and James P. of North Providence. His grandparents Hector and Aline Dufualt of North Attleboro and many aunts, uncles, cousins; and 1 niece.

Brian M. Whalen, 46
North Attleboro - Brian M. Whalen, 46, of Brook St., died Sunday, August 24, 2003 in Sturdy Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Joyce (Stasiowski) Whalen.
Born June 14, 1957 in Attleboro, he was a son of William and Patricia (Todaro) Whalen of North Attleboro.
Mr. Whalen has been a life long resident of North Attleboro and was a 1975 graduate of North Attleboro High School. He was employed at Stop & Shop Supermarket for over 27 years working in the Produce Department.
Mr. Whalen enjoyed camping, photography, and bulldozers.
Besides his wife and parents he is survived by two sons Jason W. and Ryan D. both of home, and a daughter Melissa L. of home.; a sister Lynn M. Mello of Winchendon, MA; three brothers James K., Mark T. and Neil A. all of North Attleboro.; a grandmother Ella O. Whalen of North Attleboro, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, August 27, 2003 in the Twin Rivers Community Church, 23 No. Washington Street, North Attleboro at 8:00 p.m.
