Earle H. Berry, 83
Centerville - Earle H. Berry, 83, who also lived in Boynton Beach, Fla., died Jan. 12, 2001, at Harbor Point Assisted Living in Centerville.
He was the husband of Margaret (Westgate) Berry for 60 years.
Mr. Berry was born in Clinton. He graduated from Brown University and Wentworth Institute of Technology.
During World War II, he worked on the Manhattan Project. He was a Navy veteran
Mr. Berry worked as a nuclear engineer for 40 years at General Electric Co.
He was a Mason and an avid stamp collector.
Mr. Berry was a resident of Centerville for 30 years.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, Kevin Berry of Hyannis; a daughter, Donna Bailey of Laconia, N.H.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Daphne J. Brackett, 86
Naples, Maine - Daphne J. Brackett, 86, a former resident of Hyannis, died Jan. 5, 2001, in Bridgton.
She was the wife of the late Norman Brackett.
Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Mrs. Brackett lived for many years in Hyannis.
A service will be held at a later date.
Neil A. Dauphinee, 69
Hyannis - Neil A. Dauphinee, 69, a charter boat captain, died Jan. 1, 2001, after a long illness.
A retired Navy lieutenant commander, he was a jet fighter pilot and flew off several aircraft carriers during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.
For the past 15 years, he operated the sailing vessel Hesperus, a charter boat, from the Ocean Street docks. The boat was a 49-foot classic Alden sloop, built in 1939. He was also a builder and remodeler for several years.
He is survived by a sister, Carroll Cooper of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a niece and two nephews.
Margaret R. Dydek, 78
Hyannis - Margaret R. (Morasse) Dydek, 78, a Cape resident since 1967, died Jan. 8, 2001, at the Center for Optimum Care in Mashpee.
She was the wife of Francis J. Dydek, O.D., for 52 years.
Born and raised in Lawrence, Mrs. Dydek was a military wife, living in Japan and Germany before moving to Hyannis in 1967.
She was a member and officer of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Dennis Thomas Post in Hyannis.
Surviving besides her husband are four sons, Col. George J. Dydek of Gunpowder, Md., Paul J. Dydek of Bakersfield, Calif., and Edward F. and Patrick A. Dydek, both of Hyannis; a daughter, Margaret R. Weigert of Hyannis; eight grandchildren; and a nephew.

Ann T. Franklin, 75
West Hyannisport - Ann Theresa Franklin, 75, a summer resident of West Hyannisport for more than 40 years, died Jan. 10, 2001, following a long illness.
She was the wife of Richard Franklin for 52 years.
Born in Brighton, she and her family spent winters in West Quincy.
A homemaker, Mrs. Franklin worked as a part-time home health aid for many years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Richard E. Franklin of Bountiful, Utah, and Stephen C. Franklin of Hanover; five daughters, Jeanne E. Hubbell of Red Hook, N. Y., Barbara A. Kippen of Aurora, Ill., Terry Franklin Farquhar and Carol A. VandenBergh, both of Sandy Spring, Md., and Janet F. Kleimola of Hanover.; 24 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was also the mother of the late Michael Ronald Franklin.

Albert F. Hallett, 78
Barnstable - Albert F. Hallett, 78, a native of Cape Cod, died Jan. 3, 2001, at Hospice House after a long illness.
Born and raised in Marstons Mills, Mr. Hallett worked as a mason, landscaper and greenskeeper for the Wianno Golf Club. He was also a World War II veteran.
Mr. Hallett enjoyed the outdoors, walking, sports and his family. He was known for his kindness and his sense of humor.
Surviving are a daughter, Mariane Ekstrom of Hyannis; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mary C. Healy, 86
South Dennis - Mary C. (Walsh) Healy, 86, a Cape resident since 1976, died Jan. 7, 2001, at the Eagle Pond Rehabilitation and Living Center.
She was the wife of John F. Healy, who died in 1998.
Born in Boston, Mrs. Healy was raised in Jamaica Plain and graduated from Jamaica Plain High School. She married and became a homemaker.
A longtime resident of Jamaica Plain and Marshfield, she moved to the Cape from Marshfield in 1976. She moved to Eagle Pond in South Dennis six years ago.
Mrs. Healy was a former president of Cardinal Cushing High School Women's Club, former member of the Barnstable Senior Citizens and former communicant of Our Lady of Assumption Church in Osterville.
She enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles and playing shuffleboard.
Surviving are two sons, John F. Healy and Michael J. Healy, both of East Harwich; a daughter, Julia Canning of Massachusetts; a sister, Catherine Ledwith of Holbrook; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Gloster P. Hevenor Jr., 79
West Yarmouth - Gloster Parnell "Hev" Hevenor Jr., 79, a longtime Cape Cod resident, died Jan. 8, 2001, at Cape Cod Hospital.
He was the husband of Patricia Hevenor for 42 years.
Born in Rochester, N.Y., Mr. Hevenor graduated from Choate and went on to attend Brown University. At the start of World War II, he transferred to New York Maritime Academy, where he received a bachelor of science degree and commission in the Navy.
He served in World War II and the Korean War and was discharged in 1955 with the rank of lieutenant. commander.
Mr. Hevenor and his family lived in Norwalk, Conn., for many years before moving to West Yarmouth in 1971.
For 26 years, he was the general manager at Hyannis Marine, retiring in 1997.
He was a volunteer at the Consumer Assistance Council in Hyannis, a member of the Dennis Church of the Nazarene and a leader in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Hyannis Flotilla 1103 for many years.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Kent Hevenor of Sandwich; and Keith Hevenor of Littleton; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
