TEWKSBURY - JoAnn D. (Tuetken) Naun, age 61, died Thursday morning, April 24, at her home, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Robert E. Cole, and was the former wife of Paul J. Naun who died in 1981.
She was born in Nokomis, IL, Jan. 18, 1942, a daughter of Martha (Johnson) Tuetken of Illinois, and the late Edward Tuetken. She was raised in Illinois, but had lived the greater part of her life in Tewksbury.
She was self employed as a Certified Enrolled (Tax) Agent, and had also worked for the U.S. Army in South Boston during the Vietnam War. She earned her business degree from Middlesex Community College, and was a member of the Massachusetts Society of Enrolled Agents.
In her earlier years, she was active in Tewksbury Youth Hockey, and enjoyed motorhome R.V. travel, and sailing. She was also a craftswoman, and enjoyed painting miniature houses.
Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Randy and Simona (Sasso) Naun of Tewksbury, Christopher and Carolyn (Morse) Naun of North Grafton, and Gregory Naun of Lowell, one brother and sister-in - law Lamar and Brenda Tuetken of IL, and two grandchildren, Jessica Naun and Derek Naun.
Her funeral service was held Monday, April 28, in the funeral home. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Memorials to the Church of Our Savior, 426 Davis Rd. Bedford, MA, will be appreciated.

WESTFORD - Richard F. “Rick” Pinto, age 56, a well known sportsman and company president, died Friday, April 25, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington after a one month battle with cancer. He was the husband of Susan R. (Gath) Pinto, with whom he had celebrated a 13th wedding anniversary this past Sept. 8th.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY, Aug. 28, 1946, a son of Frank Pinto of Trumbull, CT, and the late Eileen (Nolan) Pinto. He was raised in Trumbull, and had lived in Westford for the past 7 years.
During the Vietnam War, from 1968 until 1972, he served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a graduate of the University of Mass, Amherst, and received a MBA from Northeastern University.
He served as president of FRP Associates for more than 20 years.
He was an avid fly fisherman, and was currently serving as President of the New England Saltwater Fly Rodders Association.
Besides his wife and father, he is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Gina and her husband Stephen Murthey of Illinois, and Lisa Pazzanese of Haverhill, three brothers and their spouses, Robert and Debbie Pinto of Middlebury, VT, Steven and Terri Pinto of Shelton, CT, and James Pinto of Trumbull, CT, two sisters, Patricia and her husband Chuck Pond of Norwalk, CT, Nancy Pinto of Boca Raton, FL, his father-in-law and his wife, Frederick C. and Louise (Marion) Gath of Deering, NH, and several nieces and a nephew.
He was also son-in-law of the late Louise (Shaw) Gath.
His funeral was held Tuesday, April 29, in the funeral home

TEWKSBURY - Loretta M. (Fowler) Powers, 77, died Tuesday, May 20, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Richard H. Powers, who died in 1983.
She was born in Watertown, June 20, 1925, a daughter of the late James and Laura (Shea) Fowler. She was raised in Watertown and attended Watertown High School.
She moved to Tewksbury in 1952, and had resided here for the past 51 years.
In her earlier years, she worked at Patten Greenhouses in Tewksbury, the Raytheon Company, and Goodwin Graphics in Burlington.
She was an active member of St. William’s Church in Tewksbury, and was also a member of the Moving On Group in the Andover and Methuen area.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard L. and Jacqueline (Badger) Powers of Brookline, NH, a daughter and son-in-law, Susan D. and Brian McNulty of Stratham, NH, three brothers, George and his wife Eva Fowler of Salem, NH, James and his wife Anna Fowler of Waltham, and Kenneth Fowler of Waltham, a sister, Agnes and her husband Joseph Dupuis of Waltham, three grandchildren, Dillon and Erin McNulty and Samantha Powers.
She was also sister of the late Mary Cunniff and John Fowler.
Her Funeral Mass was held Friday, May 23, in St. William’s Church. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.

LOWELL - Mary Antonia (Connelly) Hoffman, 82, a well known Somerville educator, died Tuesday evening, May 20, at the Lowell home of her daughter, after a brief battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Edward F. Hoffman, who died in 1985.
She was born in Somerville, Sept. 2, 1920, a daughter of the late Louis B. and Margaret (Flanagan) Connelly. She was raised in Somerville where she lived the greater part of her life. She moved to Lowell in 1988.
She graduated from Bridgewater State Teachers College, and was employed by the Somerville public school system at the Cummings Elementary School. She also taught at St. Polycarp’s Parochial School in Somerville. She was recently honored by the Somerville Board of Education, by the dedication of the Reading Room at the Cummings School in her name.
She also served on the Board of Directors of the Somerville Visiting Nurses Association, and an accomplished writer and poet.
She is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and her husband John Moran of Fla., Kristen and her husband Patrick Rufo of Wilmington, Gretchen and her husband Brian DeAngelo of Lowell, Lauren and her husband Charlie Cochran of Wilmington, and Liesl Hoffman of Lowell, a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and his wife Irene Hoffman of Wilmington, one brother, Louis B. Connelly of Melrose, one sister and a brother-in-law, Louise and her husband John Martin of Melrose, 17 grandchildren, and one great grandson.
She was also mother of the late Mary “Toni” Hoffman, and sister of the late William I. Connelly and Elizabeth Bouvier.
Her Funeral Mass is Saturday, May 24, at 9:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, East Merrimack St. Lowell. Visiting hours Friday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

TEWKSBURY - Michael F. Bucci, age 48, a manager well known through the eastern Massachusetts automobile dealerships, died unexpectedly at his Tewksbury home on Thursday, May 22.
He was born in Medford, August 12, 1954, a son of the late Salvatore A. and Alba (Fiato) Bucci. He lived in Somerville until the age of 7, when his family moved to Tewksbury, where he had since resided.
He was a communicant of St. William’s Church in Tewksbury, attended parochial schools in his earlier years, and was attended Keith Academy in Lowell. He matriculated to Tewksbury Memorial High School, where he graduated in 1972.
He had worked in many eastern Massachusetts automobile dealerships and New England was well known at the regional auto auctions, in his capacity as Sales Manager for Kelley Infinity in Danvers.
Mike was a great fan of rock music and was a frequent concert attendee, especially Rolling Stones and the Grateful Dead concerts. He also enjoyed Comic Book collecting as a hobby.
He is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert N. and his wife Stephanie (DeGregorio) (Dillon) Bucci of Tewksbury, Richard C. and his wife Cheryl (Chisholm) Bucci of Litchfield, NH, Joseph D. and his wife Heather (Dalton) Bucci of Raymond, NH, a sister and brother-in-law, Carol A. and her husband Walter Rocco of Tewksbury, his friend and companion, Debra A. Aubut of Atkinson, NH, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
His Funeral Mass was held on May 28, in St. William’s Church. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.

TEWKSBURY - Carole R. Guarente, 50, died Thursday, May 29, at the Prescott House in North Andover after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born in Cambridge, Dec. 15, 1952, a daughter of Ralph Guarente of Port Charlotte, Fla., and the late Dorothy (Bailey) Guarente, who died in 1978. She was raised in Tewksbury, and graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School with the class of 1970. She went on to earn her Bachelors degree in English at Boston State College, now the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She lived in Marblehead and Salem most of her adult life.
She was employed by Community Newspapers as a Special Features Editor, based in Danvers.
Besides her father, she is survived by a sister, June Guarente of Methuen, a brother and sister-in - law, Glenn and his wife Rebecca (Burke) Guarente of Dracut, a step-mother, Ruth (Patterson) Guarente of Port Charlotte, Fla., two aunts and an uncle, Elizabeth “Bette” Guarente of Melrose and Thomas and Janice Bailey of Leominster.
Her Funeral Mass was held Saturday, May 31, in the Immaculate Conception Church, in Lowell. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.

Edward J. Murphy Sr.

TEWKSBURY - Edward J. Murphy, 87, died Sunday, June 1, at the Melrose Care Center. He was the husband of Josephine A. (DiGuiseppe) Murphy. He was born in Somerville, April 6, 1916, a son of the late Michael J. and Hannah (McGirr) Murphy. He was raised in Cambridge, and lived in Tewksbury the greater part of his life.
He was self employed as a Constable.
He served in the U.S. Army as a combat MP during WWII, and was stationed in the South Pacific, Leyte, Phillipeans and Okinowa. He was active in the program “Veterans Want To Know” at WCAP radio station, in Lowell.
Mr. Murphy was the charter member of 110 D.A.V. of Tewksbury. He was also founder and twice commander of Chapter 42 D.A.V. of Chelmsford, charter member of Tewksbury VFW #8164, member of the Tewksbury Golden Age Club.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons; Frederick and his wife Marcia (Ballou) Murphy of Tewksbury, John M. and his wife Denise (White) Murphy of Marshfield. Three daughters; Catherine and her husband Robert Goodwin of Malden, Mary Murphy of Billerica, Helen Sackos of Billerica. Daughter in Law Paula (Silva) Murphy. Four Step Children; Robert L. and his wife Lillian Williams of Westfield, Edwin G. and his wife Phyllis (McKay) Williams of Derry, NH, Russel J. and his wife Marlene (Myers) Williams of CA. Diane and her husband Joseph Ignazi of Pepperell. Twenty one grandchildren and Eighteen great grandchildren. Nine step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
He was the last of eleven children, husband of the late Helen (Brown) Murphy, and ather of the late Edward J. Murphy Jr.
His Funeral Mass was held Wednesday, June 4, in St. William’s Church Interment was at the National cemetery on Cape Cod, on Friday June 7th.
Karl L. Heidenrich Jr.

TEWKSBURY - Karl L. Heidenrich Jr., age 84, a second generation farmer and dairyman from Tewksbury, died Sunday morning, June 8, at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell, after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Mary T. (O’Connor) Heidenrich, with whom he would have celebrated a 53rd wedding anniversary on June 24th.
He was born in Lowell, July 30, 1918, a son of the late Karl and Ottillie (Zaijicek) Heidenrich. He lived in Tewksbury his entire life and attended Tewksbury public schools.
He was co-owner of the Heidenrich Dairy Farm in West Tewksbury, along with his brother Frank. The farm was founded by their father.
Upon retirement, and sale of the farm property, he worked part time for Blanchard’s Bus Company in Tewksbury, which is now Tewksbury Transit Co.
Mr. Heidenrich was a lifelong communicant of St. William’s Church, where he also was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Friends of Tewksbury Hospital, and also had served on the town’s Finance Committee.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and Ronald Black of Tewksbury, one granddaughter, Heidi K. Black, a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Margaret (Downey) Heidenrich of Tewksbury, and many nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Sophie Hoare, Tillie Powers, Helen Heidenrich and Elsie Heidenrich.
His Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte 38) Tewksbury. Visiting hours Tuesday 5 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lowell.

DRACUT - Jennie M. (Panagopoulos) Fafalios, age 76, a well known pastry chef in Lowell, died Thursday evening, July 24, at the Lowell General Hospital, after a brief illness. She was the wife of Anthony E. Fafalios, with whom she had celebrated a 33rd wedding anniversary this past April 16th.
She was born in Lowell, Oct. 26, 1926, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Martha (Petroulas) Panagopoulos. She was raised in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School. She lived for more than 20 years in Chelmsford before moving to Dracut 12 years ago.
Along with her husband, she was the co-owner of Anthony’s Pastry Shop in Lowell.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Joanne Kryicos of Lowell, a son, George Cronopulos of Shrewsbury, a sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Theodore Tgebedis of Dracut, four brothers and six sisters-in-law, Paul and Lillian Panagopoulos of Lowell, George and Jennie Panagopoulos of Dracut, William and Sophia Panas of NH, Theodore and Elaine Panagopoulos of NH, Lorraine Panagopoulos of Lowell, and Jackie Panas of FL, along with numerous nieces and nephews, both here in the U.S. and in Greece.
She was also sister of the late Angie Couris, Helen Shea, Anthony Panagopoulos, Louis Panagopoulos, and Charles Panas.
Her Funeral was held Monday, July 28, in the Holy Trinity Hellenic Orthodox Church, Lewis St. Lowell. Interment was in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell.
