WORCESTER - Madeline G. "Maddy" (McPherson) Milligan, 67, died Sunday morning, Sept. 29, at the Wachusett Extended Care facility in Holden, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of James Milligan, with whom she had celebrated a 25th wedding anniversary this past October 24th.
She was born in Cambridge, Jan. 28, 1035, a daughter of the late Paul and Agnes (Farrell) McPherson. She was raised in Cambridge but had lived most of her life in the greater Worcester area.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Diane MacLeod of Billerica, Frances and her husband Michael Donovan of Dracut, five nieces, Christine Kondis of Ashland, Charlotte Corbin of Methuen, Heather Bramante of Reading, Audrey MacLeod of Billerica, Bridget Daniell of Manchester, NH, three nephews, Harry, Andrew and Peter Crowell all of Laconia, NH, and many cousins, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Her Funeral Mass was held Wednesday, Oct. 2, Interment was in the No. Cambridge Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials to the Wachusett Extended Care, Patient Activity Fund, 56 Boyden Rd. Holden, MA 01520, will be appreciated.
Judith Mae Lively

DRACUT - Judith Mae Lively, 67, a resident of Dracut for the past decade, died unexpectedly Monday morning, Sept. 30, attack in her home.
She was born in Charlestown, a daughter of the late Ruth (O’Hara-Lively) Berren and Palmer Lively. She was raised by her late step-father, Leonard Berren, and her mother.
She lived the greater part of her life in Medford, and upon retirement came to Dracut to live with a sister.
She worked for more than 42 years in the transport department at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford.
Since moving to Dracut, she was active in the events, especially Bingo, at the Lowell Community Center.
She is survived by two sisters, Audrey Kelliher of Lowell and Beverly Troisi of Dracut, with whom she lived, and several nieces and nephews, including Noreen Post of Dracut and Michelle Merrick of Wilmington, several grand nieces and nephews including Heather, Shannon, Sarah, and Molly Post and Joseph and Samantha Merrick.
Her Funeral Mass was held Oct. 3, in St. William’s Church. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
Memorials to the Lowell Community Center, 21 Walker St. Lowell, MA 01854 will be appreciated.
Norma Prince

Norma (Curran Prince, 76, died Sept. 23, at Tewksbury Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Lynn, Feb. 21, 1926, a daughter of the late John Curran and Freida (Doucette) Curran.
In her earlier years, she worked as a welder at General Electric's Lynn Division.
Her Funeral Mass was held Oct. 4, in St. William’s Church, followed by interment in Tewksbury Cemetery.

Francic A. Keenan

TEWKSBURY - Francis A. “Franny” Keenan, 71, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the V.A. Hospital in Manchester N.H. after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Sarah F. “Sally” Keenan, who died in 1996.
He was born in Winthrop, Aug 7, 1931, a son of the late Frederick and Mary (Paskall) Keenan. He was raised in Revere, but had lived in Tewksbury since 1966.
During the Korean War, he served in the Army.
He was retired from the Carpenter Union, Local 26, in Wilmington.
Mr. Keenan was also a communicant of St. William’s Church.
He is survived by two sons; Frederick T. Keenan of Tewksbury and Michael H. Keenan of Lowell, four step-children; Joseph Viera Donald Viera and Lila Paolucci all of Lowell, and Francis Viera of Manchester, NH, one brother; Frederick Keenan of Malden, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
His Funeral Mass was held Saturday, Oct. 12 in St. William’s Church. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
Arthur J. "Chip" Flagg

TEWKSBURY - Arthur J. “Chip” Flagg Jr., 33, died Friday morning, Oct. 11, at the Tewksbury Hospital, after a lang battle with Huntington’s chorea.
He was born in Marlboro, Mass, November 24, 1968 a son of Sharon (Adrey) Flagg-Warren of Haverhill, and the late Arthur J. Flagg Sr. Besides his mother, he is survived by his step-father Thomas Warren of Haverhill, a sister, Madonna Tilbe of Brentwood, NH, his grandparents, Aurelia (O’Hemis) Adrey of Wilton, NH, Edward and Della Warren of Acton, severl nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, including Jerry Adrey of Haverhill, Madonna Robinton of Salem, NH, and Barbara Simpson of Wilton, NH.
He was the brother of Paul A. Flagg, who also died of Huntington’s chorea, at Tewksbury Hospital on March 17, 1999.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel at Tewksbury Hospital, in the Saunders Building, 365 East St. Tewksbury. Interment will follow at Tewksbury Cemetery.

TEWKSBURY - Jacquelyn H. (Hoagland) Hunt, age 80, well known in Tewksbury for her family’s Main Street farm stand, died Sunday, Oct. 13, at the Palm Manor Nursing Center in Chelmsford. She was the wife of Leo R. Hunt, who died in June 1999.
She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, April 16, 1922, a daughter of the late E. Murray and Mary Alice (Hodges) Hoagland. She was raised in Virginia, graduated from Maury H.S. in Norfolk, VA, and later graduated from the Banks School of Business in Norfolk in 1942. She lived in Texas and Lowell, before settling in Tewksbury in 1950.
During WWII, she was employed at the Naval Operating Base in Norfolk, VA. She continued her career as a secretary for Dr. Risoli, M.D. in Tewksbury in the early 1950's. She was appointed as secretary to the Tewksbury Board of Selectman in 1952, where she served for 12 years. She later worked for Nogara Investment Co. in Lowell, the Greer Division of Joy Manufacturing in Wilmington, and later Finnegan, Nyman and Callery Law Offices in Lowell. In her retirement, along with her family, she operated a local farm stand.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen “Kay” Silk and Marsha M. Hunt both of Tewksbury, 14 grandchildren, Judy Jennison, Cindy Cormier, Jason, Eric, Scott, and Leo Hunt all of Lowell, Susan McMahon of NH, Kathie Silk-Grassi of Hyannisport, Richard “Rick” Silk of Methuen, Daniel Silk and Christian “Chrissy” Stone both of Tewksbury, Stephen Silk of No. Andover, Kerry Quinn of Tewksbury and Jacquelyn M. McDavid-Myers of San Antonio, TX, 24 great grandchildren, cousin Charles O. Haines III, of Virginia Beach, VA, and lifelong friend of Jackie Holly of Norfolk, VA.
She was also mother of the late Leo R. Hunt Jr. who died in 1994.
Her Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 10:00 a.m. in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte 38) Tewksbury. Visiting hours Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 in the funeral home. Interment in Tewksbury Cemetery.

TEWKSBURY - Robert J. Bentham, 95, a resident of the Flucker Heights senior development, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the Tewksbury Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the late Hazel M. (Hanson) Bentham, who died in 1988.
He was born in Revere, Nov. 5, 1906, a son of the late David and Louise (Baldner) Bentham. He had lived in Tewksbury the greater part of his life.
He was employed as a clerk, at the General Electric’s Riverworks division in Lynn until retirment.
Mr. Bentham was an accomplished musician, and enjoyed his summer cottage on Great East Lake in Maine.
He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Robert H. and his wife Aline (Richard) Bentham of Tewksbury, two daughters and a son-in-law, Carol Griffiths of Gilford, NH, and Norma and her husband John Wolfe of Plant City, Fla., 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
He was also father-in-law of the late Joseph Griffiths, who died in June 2002.
His funeral service was Friday, Oct. 18, in the funeral home followed by Interment Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.

TEWKSBURY - Nancy E. MacDonald, 40, died Aug. 2, at the Tewksbury Hospital, after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Lowell, the daughter of George and Sandra (Manousos) MacDonald who reside in Chelmsford. She was raised in Chelmsford, and graduated from Chelmsford High School, but had lived in Lowell the greater part of her life.
She had worked at both Hybrid Company in Billerica, and later MA/COM in Lowell as a technician.
She enjoyed bicycling.
Besides her parents, she is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Lorraine MacDonald of Sterling, Mass., a maternal grandmother, Marie Manousos of Lowell, two nieces, Hannah and Jocelyne, and one nephew, Nathaniel, and several aunts, uncles and cousins, her godmother and special friend, Patricia Costa of Lowell.
A Memorial service was held Wednesday, Aug. 21, at the Tewksbury Hospital Chapel.

WILMINGTON - Richard G. Marquis, 53, a co-owner and Senior Executive for a New Hampshire restaurant chain, died Wednesday evening, Oct. 16, at the Community Hospice in Merrimack, NH. He was the husband of Carol (Clayton) Marquis, with whom he had celebrated a 26th wedding anniversary this past July 17th.
He was born in Lynn, April 6, 1949, a son of Erma (Dill) Marquis of Saugus and the late Eugene Marquis. He was raised in Saugus, and had lived in Toronto, Canada, before returning to the area in 1978. He had lived in Wilmington since 1978.
He graduated from Thayer Academy in Braintree, earned his BSBA at Princeton University, and MBA at Boston University.
He worked for H.P. Hood in Charlestown from 1979 until 1997, and for the last 5 years was co - owner of Blake’s Creamery, the operator of Blake’s Restaurants in central and southern New Hampshire.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by one son, Richard E. Marquis of Wilmington, one daughter, Lauren M. Marquis of Wilmington, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl J. and James Peterson, Janice M. and David Savoie all of Saugus, and mother-in-law, Carol (Mason) Clayton of Melrose.
His funeral service was held Monday, Oct. 21, in the Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.

SALEM, NH - Donald R. Hunter, 85, a former resident of Tewksbury, with family members in Burlington, died Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, Mass.. He was the husband of the late Phyllis M. (Chandler) Hunter, who died in 1985.
He was born in Milford, Mass, a son of the late Raymond and Irene (Manchester) Hunter. He was raised in Milford and Lowell, and graduated from Lowell High School. He lived in Tewksbury until 1961. After living in upstate New Youk he returned to the area and settled in Burlington, Mass. He had been in residence at the Salem Haven Nursing Center for the last several years.
During WWII, he served in the Combat Engineers Battalion of the Army in the Pacific Theater, based in New Caladonia.
He was retired from NABISCO (National Biscut Company) where he worked as an accountant and auditor.
He attended Nichol’s College, was a former member of the Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks, Lodge 2070, and was a member of the Burlington Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and her husband Frank Carbonneau of Burlington, Alice and her husband James Iles of Clay, NY, one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Gail Hunter of Akron, Ohio, one sister, Marion Pond of Greenville, S.C., five granddaughters, Cynthia Curry of AZ, Dawn Thorne of KS, Erin Stark of GA, Jessica and Margaret Iles both of NY, and two great grandsons, Matthew Thorne and Thomas Curry. His funeral was held Tuesday, Oct. 22, from the funeral home followed by interment in Tewksbury Cemetery.
