David joined the Hingham Police Department in 1957 after serving four years in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a detective and a juvenile officer. He became a Sargeant and appointed Police Prosecutor for 12 years. Before retiring he was put in charge of the traffic division. He retired in 1998 after 41 years of service. he founded the Hingham Resources Counseling Service for teens in conjunction with the Probation Department in the Hingham Court. He was instrumental in obtaining from the Navy the old gymnasium and refurbished it with town donations for the Police Athletic League, successfully signing over 500 teens as members in one year. He was president of the Sr. Officers Union and a member of the wage committee for many years. He coached Babe Ruth for 12 Years and also coached Pop Warner for 10 years. He was a member of the Hingham Legion, The Sons of Italy Lodge and a member of Saint Paul's Parish.

Mr. Musmeci died after a long illness. He graduated from Boston English High School where he played on an all-star football team. He was a graduate of Boston University and attended Masson College. Mr. Musmeci was active in civic and social duties; a communicant of St. Ann's Church, a CCD teacher, treasurer of the Holy Name Society, member of the Knights of Columbus, Officer of the Sons of Italy in Hingham, President of the Point Allerton Association and a member of the Hull Yacht Club. He remained active and swam regularly every week up until his most recent illness. Mr. Musmeci owned an electrical contracting business for over 20 years. He served on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Electrical Contractors Association, Inc. He will be remembered for his humor, his courage and his will to overcome.

Mr. Willock worked as a postal clerk at the South Postal Annex in Boston for 32 years, retiring in 1971. He loved baseball and the Boston Red Sox.

Mr. Doyle was a lifelong resident of Hingham and a 1956 graduate of Hingham High School. He was a graduate of Vermont Academy, and attended the University of Vermont. At Hingham High School, he was captain of the Hockey and Football teams. He was the original organizer of Pop Warner football in Hingham.

Edward E. Jeffries

Edward E. Jeffries, 75, of Fairhaven died March 30, 2004 at Blaire House after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Melva L. (Herrick) Jeffries and son of the late Joseph and Laura (Laroque) Jeffries.
Mr. Jeffries was born in Tiverton, RI and lived in Fall River and Westport many years before moving to Fairhaven 30 years ago.
He was formerly employed by Fairhaven Savings Bank as a maintenance man for many years until his retirement.
Mr. Jeffries served in the US Army during World War II and later served in the Army Reserves. He enjoyed dancing, family functions, bowling, church and volunteering at Market Ministries.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, Thomas Jeffries of Fall River; 3 sisters, Theresa Gosselin of Voluntown, CT, Lorraine Dube of Fall River and Rose Desrosier of Westport; many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Mary Ann Tatro, Nuella Mello, Joseph Jeffries, Eva Desrosier and Loretta Jeffries.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett, Friday, April 2nd at 10 AM.
Visiting hours Thursday, April 1st from 4-7 PM.
