Frank Anthony Fulginiti
March 3, 1925 - December 9, 2005

SHREWSBURY - Frank A. Fulginiti, 80, of Shrewsbury, died suddenly Friday, December 9th in UMass Memorial Medical Center.

He leaves his wife of 57 years, Grace (Berry) Fulginiti; his children, P. Samuel Fulginiti and his wife Lori of Pelham Manor, NY, and Kathryn Fulginiti of Worcester; his brother, William Fulginiti of Sarasota, FL; his three grandchildren, Lauren, Mathew and Gigi, as well as many nieces, nephews and loving and supportive friends and neighbors. He was predeceased by his siblings, Anthony, Joseph, Pasquale "Pito", P. Samuel, Florence, Alice and Catherine Fulginiti.

He was born in Worcester, son of the late Pasquale and Rose (Lupisella) Fulginiti. He graduated from Worcester Schools and Worcester Junior College, where he earned and Associates degree in Electrical Engineering. He has lived in Shrewsbury for many years.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving from 1943-1946 as a Radioman in the Asiatic and Pacific Theaters.

Mr. Fulginiti worked as a Superintendent for US Steel for 35 years, retiring in 1978. He then worked for the Town of Shrewsbury as the Superintendent of Public Buildings until 1989. He also was the tour director for "Frank's Group", planning bus tours many different locations.

He was a member of Saint Mary's Parish and the Adelphi Council Knights of Columbus, both in Shrewsbury. He was also a member of the East Side American Legion Post, # 201, and a Life Member of Post 3657, VFW, both in Worcester. He served on the Board of Directors of the South Worcester County Rehabilitation Center (SWCRC), was a past president of the Shrewsbury Senior Citizens Club, was active in the Friends of Shrewsbury, and helped raise funds for the Shrewsbury Senior Center and the Spirit of Shrewsbury committee.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, December 12th from 4-8 PM in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 13th at 10 AM in St. Mary's Church, 640 Main St., Shrewsbury, followed by burial with Military Honors in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.

Donations in Frank's memory may be made to South Worcester County Rehabilitation Center (SWCRC), 44 Morris St., Webster, MA 01570.

LORRAINE G. (COURNOYER) GABOURY
August 7, 1925 - March 19, 2007

WORCESTER, MA - Lorraine G. (Cournoyer) Gaboury died peacefully Monday, March 19th at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, surrounded by her family.

Born in Webster to Rose M. (Plasse) and Joseph H. Cournoyer, Lorraine lived on Electric Street in Worcester for most of her life. Her beloved husband of 43 years, Norman A. Gaboury died in 1989.

She is survived by her son, Paul A. Gaboury and his fiance Jo-Ann Woupio of Paxton, her daughter, Claire D. Gaboury-Constantin and her husband Frederick T. Constantin of Sturbridge; her granddaughter, Christine E. Taylor and her husband Scott of Auburn; her granddaughter, Melinda L. Provost and her fiance Ryan Colangione of Indian Orchard; her grandson, Jason Provost of Sturbridge; her great-grandchildren, Zachary, Nathan, and Rachael Taylor; and her brother, Omer B. Cournoyer of Auburn.

She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Paula A. Gaboury, and her sisters, Lea M. Wood, Dorothy D. Rushford, and Jeannette Liberis, as well as her brother Adrian Cournoyer.

Lorraine and her husband were founding members of North American Martyrs' Parish in Auburn. A long-time caregiver for her parents, Lorraine worked in her youth as a lifeguard at Coes Pond, and also worked for Wright Machine, Murphy Cleaners, and Fashion Dry Cleaners.

She loved knitting, reading, crossword puzzles, a good cup of coffee, and being with her family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, March 22nd from 5 -8 PM in Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. Her funeral will be held on Friday, March 23rd at 9 AM from the funeral home with a Mass celebrated at 10 AM in North American Martyrs' Church, 8 Wyoma Dr., Auburn. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Road, Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451-1991 or to the Auburn District Nursing Association, 191 Pakachoag St., Auburn, MA 01501.

John J. Gabrielian
November 4, 1941 - February 13, 2007

PLYMOUTH - John J. Gabrielian, 65, of Chapel Hill Drive, Owner and Operator of Gabrielian Insurance Agency of Plymouth, died peacefully Tuesday in his home after a brief illness.
He is survived by his loving Children; Kevin J. Gabrielian, and his wife Michelle, of Auburn, Lisa M. Byczko and her husband Peter, of Auburn, Beth Ann Kline and her husband David, of Rutland, Alexandra O'Neil-Gabrielian and her mother Sharon O'Neil Gabrielian of Webster. He leaves his 6 loving grandchildren; Brittany and Lyndsey Gabrielian, of Auburn, and Zachary and Jacob Byczko, of Auburn and Cameron and Jackson Kline, of Rutland. He is survived by his best friend and twin brother Stephen D. Gabrielian and Marianne Belanger, of Paxton, a sister Marguerite Enhorning Quigley, and her husband Dr. William Quigley, of Chatham, MA. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, friends from Plymouth and Auburn and his beloved dog Daisy.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late John and Marguerite (Connors) Gabrielian. He was educated in Worcester; he attended Assumption Prep and Assumption College.
He served in United States Army Reserves.
John was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Plymouth Country Club and the Cold Springs Mens Club. He was active in various other charitable organizations in the Plymouth area.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 5-8 PM Friday in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. His funeral will be held Saturday from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 AM in North American Martyrs Church. Burial will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester.

Irene M. (Ekberg) Gagne
March 19, 1919 - April 14, 2006

MILLBURY - Irene M. (Ekberg) Gagne, 87, of Danielle Drive, formerly of Auburn and Cotuit, died Friday, April 14th in Saint Camillus Nursing Home in Northbridge after a brief illness.

Her husband, Romeo Gagne died in 1945. She leaves one daughter, Charlene M. Fogarty, wife of the Late Lt. William F. Fogarty (MSP); three granddaughters, Deanna M. Nadeau and her husband, Joshua of Millbury; Kerri Ann Fogarty of Auburn and Deirdre L. Maxwell and her husband, Michael of Leicester; two grandchildren, Brooke E. and William J. Nadeau; two nieces, Marjorie Thomas of Wells, Maine and Norma Jean Standring of Charlton; also survived by several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Richard E. Ekberg and a sister, Dorothy I. Bocash.

Irene was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Harold A. and Antoinette M. (Fournier) Ekberg and had lived in Auburn and Cotuit before she moved to Millbury to live with her daughter and granddaughter, Deanna's family. She graduated from South High School in Worcester.

Mrs. Gagne had worked for 20 years at the Cosmetic Counter in the Sears Department Store in the Auburn Mall before she retired in 1984. She loved spending time with her entire family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to visit with Irene's family on Monday, April 17th from 5:00-6:00 P.M. in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. A funeral service for Irene will follow at 6:00 P.M. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the UMASS Memorial Foundation, P.O Box 2795 Worcester, MA 01613-9938.

JOHN W. GALLA, SR.
December 28, 1913 - May 20, 2007

Surrounded by family and friends, both near and far, John W. Galla, Sr. entered the eternal care of the Lord on Sunday, May 20, 2007. Born on December 28, 1913, he was the son of John W. and Elizabeth Galla, of North Braddock, PA. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 59 years, Josephine in 2005. A near life long resident of East McKeesport, PA, he was employed as a master machinist/craftsman by the Westinghouse Air Brake Company for 44 years. Retiring in 1977, Mr. and Mrs. Galla enjoyed traveling between the homes of their son and daughter, visiting their grandchildren/great grandchildren and enjoying their summer beach cottage in Connecticut. Over the most recent years, they were living and convalescing at the home of their daughter Joan and son-in-law Robert Frank in Northboro, MA. A decorated veteran o f World War Two, he served in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of staff sergeant in the 115th Rifle Company of the 29th Division. He and his fellow members of that heroic division were among the very first troops ashore on D-Day, landing at Omaha Beach, Normandy, France. Noted for his earlier acclaimed record of talent in basketball, Mr Galla is an inductee of two Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame and he and his team are a featured exhibit in the National Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass. In 1938, his team came within one game of representing the United States at the Olympic Games in Berlin, Germany. In that National Championship Game, his number one nationally ranked YMCA Team lost out to a team sponsored by Universal Pictures of California. His love of community and sports came today in the 1950's and 1960's, as he volunteered and coached Little League Baseball and CYO Basketball. In addition he served as a long-time Scout Master of Boy Scout Troup 85. For his outstanding contributions to scouting, he was inducted into their Hall of Fame. For many years, he also served as an usher at the Hebron Lutheran Church in Braddock, PA. He is survived by his son and his wife, John and Joanne Galla of Wading River, NY, his daughter and her husband, Joan and Robert Frank of Northboro, MA, a sister Evelyn Starz of Grove City, PA, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, in-laws Barbara Dansak, Mary and Joe Bezick and John Ryba, all of McKeesport, PA, numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
The family suggests a memorial contribution to the Boy Scouts of AmericaTroup 85, 915 Broadway, East McKeesport, PA 15035.

CHARLES E. GASPIE, SR.
April 5, 1932 - September 29, 2007

AUBURN, MA - Charles E. Gaspie, Sr., 75, of Auburn, died Saturday, September 29th in Saint Vincent Hospital after a short illness.

He leaves his wife of 49 years, Joanne A. (Danielson) Gaspie; five sons, Jon C. Gaspie of Maine, Charles E. Gaspie, Jr. of Oxford, Daniel J. Gaspie of Sturbridge, Thomas F. Gaspie and Terry R. Gaspie both of Auburn; 3 daughters, Janice E. Labonte of Maine, Dianne L. Gaspie of Vermont and Tammy A. Gow of Auburn; four brothers, John Gaspie, Jr., of Maine, Robert Gaspie of Worcester, Joseph Gaspie of Wisconsin and James Gaspie of Hawaii; and a sister, Dorothy Herron of Auburn; also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Gaspie was born in Worcester, son of the late John C. Gaspie, Sr., and Elsie (Young) Gaspie and had lived in Auburn for 49 years.

Charles was the Manager of the Marty's Mobile Park in Auburn for 50 years before he retired. He loved gardening and was an avid sportsman.

Funeral services and burial for Mr. Gaspie will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Teri Ann Gaston
May 3, 1959 - October 19, 2007

SHREWSBURY - Teri Ann Gaston, 48, of 10 Gleason Road, Shrewsbury, died in her home October 19, after a valiant battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by her family. Teri's love for her family and friends was ever present.

Teri possessed a passion for her family, golf and music. She was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School. She was a member of Indian Meadow Country Club for many years.

Her parents, Harry N. Gaston and Joan T. Gaston predeceased her. Teri leaves her family, John & Cindie Gaston of Shrewsbury; Michael and Dianne Gaston of Clayton, NC; David Gaston and Roberta McNamara; John Harry & Amie Gaston, all of Shrewsbury; Christopher M. and Tracy Gaston of Auburn; Seth Gaston of Fitchburg; Taylor, Benjamin & Eliza Gaston of Shrewsbury; Nancy & Wayne Jackson of Waltham; Linda Marrano of Waltham; Steve & Peg Marrano of Wilmington; Heather Marrano of Plymouth, Alyssa Jackson and Matt Jackson of Waltham; Sally & Dan Tinkham of Danvers; Peter & Gail Burnham of Hamilton; and many cousins and numerous friends.

The Gaston family would like to thank Teri's life long friends, JoAnn DeMango Davis of Worcester, Deb & Don Richards of Shrewsbury and Kiran Patel of TN for their continued love and support.

A service in celebration of Teri's life will be held November 3 at 11:00 AM in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to breast cancer research at: Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Fwy., Suite. 250, Dallas, TX 75244.

Teri fought her disease as she lived her entire life, with quiet grace.

Grace E. (Ingemi) Gaudette
June 2, 1919 - January 30, 2006

AUBURN, MA - Grace E. (Ingemi) Gaudette, 86, of 21 Woodland Road, Auburn, formerly of Worcester and North Brookfield died Monday, January 30th in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Her husband of 62 years, Raymond Gaudette died in 1999. She leaves a daughter, Natalie Spinetti with whom she made her home and her close friend, Tim Parker both of Auburn.; a brother and sister in law, John and Theresa Ingemi and their family of North Brookfield; three sisters, Josephine Beaudette and family of Southbridge, Irene Figoni and family of Springfield and Laura and Edward Danek and their family of Enfield, CT; 6 grandchildren, Sandra Brytowski and her husband, Jan of Thompson, Ct; Raymond Page of California; Clifton Page and his wife, Brenda of Worcester; Deborah Page of Auburn; Shawn Page and his wife Tesa of California and Shannon Grady of Worcester; also survived by 13 Great grandchildren and one great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Prescott and Sr. James Anthony of the Sisters of St. Joseph.

Mrs. Gaudette was born in Barre, daughter of the late Antone and Lucia (Pannacione) Ingemi and had lived in over 40 years in North Brookfield, and 41 years in Worcester before moving to her daughter's home Auburn 5 years ago. She graduated from form North Brookfield High School.

Grace had worked for many years at the Frank Cooke Optical Company in North Brookfield before she retired in 1981.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish in Worcester and had several hobbies including, knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Grace's family wishes to thank all of her caregivers for their comfort, compassion and thoughtfulness, throughout her long illness.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Grace's family on Wednesday, February 1st from 4-7 P.M. in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 2nd at 12 NOON in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will be in the family lot in Mary Queen of the Rosary Parish Cemetery, Spencer. Kenneth F. Gaulin, Sr.

CHARLTON - Kenneth F. Gaulin, Sr., 70, of 89 Oxbow Road, died Sunday in Saint Vincent Hospital after an illness.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Janet (Rose) Gaulin, his children; Kenneth F. Gaulin, Jr. and his wife Deb, of Florida, Craig Gaulin and his wife Pam, of Ohio, Daniel Johnston, and his companion Janine, of Clinton, and Jamie Sibley and her companion Edward Leduc, of Charlton. Other members of his family include his brothers; Henry Gaulin and his wife Betty, of Arizona, Clifford Gaulin, and his sister Joyce Lebelle, and her husband William, all of Millbury, he also leaves his beloved grandchildren; Paige Johnston, Kenneth Gaulin, III Donald Johnston, and Kristen Johnston, and his special in-laws, David and Virginia Rose.
Deceased members of his family include; his sons; Jeffrey and Donald Johnston, and his brothers; Emile and Ernest Gaulin.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late Jerry L. and Florence (Prevost) Gaulin; he was educated in Worcester schools.
Mr. Gaulin was a proud veteran having served his country in the Korean War, as a member of the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Gaulin was a member of the Carpenter's Union Local 107, where he worked as a metal-lather for Pelletier and Sons in Fitchburg, for many years.
He was an outdoor enthusiast; he loved hunting, bike riding and camping.
A funeral mass will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Church, 10 H. Putnam Road, extension, Charlton. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. There are no calling hours.
Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn is assisting the family.

CAROLYN JANE (POTTLE) GENDRON
December 24, 1962 - April 27, 2007

SHREWSBURY - Carolyn J. (Pottle) Gendron, of Shrewsbury, formerly of Montreal, Canada, died Friday, April 27th in UMass Memorial Medical Center- University Campus in Worcester.

She leaves her husband of 16 years, Charlie Gendron; three sons, Matthew, Miles, and Eric all of Shrewsbury; her mother, Joan Pottle and her companion, Cully Keane of Montreal, Canada; two brothers, Kevin and his wife, Darlene of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada and Roy and his wife, Dianne of Wellesley, MA; her mother-in-law, Helen of Montreal; two sisters-in-laws, Catherine and her husband, Patrick and Mary and her husband, Craig and a brother-in-law, John; also survived by several nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and many good friends. She was predeceased by her father, John and her father-in-law, Eugene .

Carolyn was born Montreal, Canada and had lived in Shrewsbury for the past 6 years. While living in Canada, Carolyn pursued a career in nursing graduating with a nursing degree. Carolyn did work in the nursing field for a few years, but her favorite job for sure was being a mom and taking care of her family.

The entire Gendron family wishes to thank their many friends all over, especially those in the Shrewsbury Community for all of the many acts of kindnesses that have been granted and given to them all through Carolyn's illness.

Funeral Services for Carolyn will be held on Monday, April 30th at 11:00 AM in the First Congregational Church, 19 Church Road, Shrewsbury. All are invited to visit with Carolyn's family from 10:00-10:45 AM in the Church Parlor at the Church prior to her service. Burial will be private.

Memorial contributions in Carolyn's memory can be made to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7295 or to the Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.

Tony Geraldi
September 28, 1911 - December 25, 2005

SHREWSBURY - Anthony "Tony" Geraldi, 94, a former Shrewsbury Firefighter, died peacefully in his sleep, on Christmas morning in his home in Shrewsbury after an illness.
His wife Barbara (Doolan) Geraldi died in 1999 they shared many years of happiness together and they traveled extensively in the U.S and in Europe.
Two brothers Domenic and Charles, and three sisters, Rose Rosbrough, Lucy Cormier, and June Drysdale, all predeceased him.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews, great grand nieces and great grand nephews.
He was born in Shrewsbury, son of the late Frank and Mary (Grinell) Geraldi. He was educated in Worcester schools. He was a life-long member of Saint Anne's Church.
Mr. Geraldi was a Firefighter for the Shrewsbury Fire Department for over 30 years, retiring in 1972. He was the first Shrewsbury firefighter to be stationed at the Lake Station.
He also worked for many years for F&G; Construction, in Shrewsbury, as a Heavy-Equipment Operator.
Tony loved spending time with his family; he was loved by all who knew him, and affectionately known as "Uncle Tony."
He loved animals, especially his adopted pet dog and companion "Woodie."
He was a superb cribbage player. He was a member of the Frohsinn Club, and the Shrewsbury Senior Center.
His funeral will be held Friday from the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Anne's Church, 130 Turnpike Road, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the funeral home from 6-9 PM Thursday.
