Elaine H. Desautelle
February 28, 1932 - July 3, 2006
AUBURN, MA - Elaine H. Desautelle, 70, of Burnett St., died Monday, July 3rd in the Life Care Center of Auburn, after a long illness.
She leaves her sister, Rita J. Desautelle, with whom she lived; her three aunts, Helen Borko, Jeanette Capalbo, and Annette Trepanowski; her godchild, Mary O'Neil and many friends.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Edward O. and Teresa (Stomski) Desautelle and has lived in Auburn for many years.
Miss Desautelle retired as school teacher with the Auburn Public Schools, where she had taught for many years in the Pakachoag, Mary D. Stone and Bryn Mawr schools.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Auburn, the Auburn Education Association, the Massachusetts Teachers Teachers Association and the National Education Association.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, July 6th from 9-10:30 AM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. A funeral Mass will celebrated at 11 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford St., Auburn. Burial follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.

RENELDA M. "NELL" DESAUTELS

AUBURN, MA - Renelda M. "Nell" Desautels, of Pakachoag Village, died Saturday in the Lutheran Home, Worcester after an illness.
She is survived by her son; William G. Desautels, and his wife Barbara, of Worcester, four grandchildren; Jean Flint, of Spencer, Janet Miller, of Worcester, John Desautels, of Boylston, and James Desautels, of Jamaica, and eight, great grandchildren, and a brother Francis Bellerose of Cohoses, NY
She is preceded in death by her husband, William H. Desautels, and by her brother William Bellerose.
She was born in Cohoses, NY daughter of the late William H. and Virginia Bellerose.
Mrs. Desautels worked for many years at Northeast Laundry, in Worcester.
She was a member of North American Martyrs Church, in Auburn.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 AM in the North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
Joseph James di Reda
September 16, 1928 - June 16, 2007
SHREWSBURY - Joseph James di Reda, veteran character actor and screenwriter, passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 16th in UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester, of melanoma.
He was born September 16, 1928 in Worcester to Grazia (Ricchiuti) and Salvatore di Reda. Joseph appeared in numerous films and television shows.
After serving briefly in the US Navy aboard a repair ship during World War II, Joseph migrated to New York where he garnered a role in the touring company in Elia Kazan's production of "Tea and Sympathy" with Deborah Kerr. The tour landed him in Hollywood where he remained for the rest of his acting career. His many motion picture credits include "The Black Orchid" with Sophia Loren and Anthony Quinn, "Parallax View" with Warren Beatty, "The Hindenburg" with George C. Scott, Michael Crichton's "The Andromeda Stain", and "The Sand Pebbles" with Steve McQueen. In addition to his playing the role of "Red Dog Shanahan" in the "Sand Pebbles', Joseph was known for his off-screen antics. Robert Wise, director and producer created a special movie credit entitled "Diversions: Irving Schwartz" in honor of Joseph, who kept the crew's spirits up during the arduous location shoot in China.
His numerous Television credits included "Perry Mason", "Gunsmoke", "The Streets of San Francisco", "M.A.S.H.", "Cagney and Lacey", and "Batman". Joe will also be remembered for his role as "Angel Moran" on the television soap opera "General Hospital", which he played for approximately seven years.
He is survived by his loving wife Rita; his three sons, Michael and his wife Cherie, T.J. and his wife Hannah, Mark Astrella and his wife Angie, and his five grandchildren, Hayley, Jordan, Lindsay, Abby, and Garrett. Joe's family wishes to express our love and most heartfelt thanks to Doctors Sullivan, Wholey, Quinlan, and Shepro, and their nurses, including but not limited to Diane and the many other members of the hospital staff who so lovingly cared for Joe and provided support to his family.
Funeral services will be private. There are no calling hours.
Arthur G. DiBuddno
December 7, 1919 - December 12, 2006
SHREWSBURY - Arthur George DiBuddno, 87, of Cherry Street, died at home on December 13, 2006 after an illness.
He is survived by Helen M Smith; his best friend and companion of thirty years, with whom he lived for the past twenty years. Helen's daughter Madeline Duhamel, and her four children and ten grandchildren will miss him always.
Arthur was born in Auburn, December 7, 1919. He was the son of the late Joseph and Victoria (Poulin) DiBuddno from Lancaster, MA.
A WWII Veteran, he proudly served in the United States Air Force.
Arthur worked for 45 years at Westborough State Hospital as an Engineer. Previously he worked for the CCC Camp in Vermont driving large machinery. He belonged to the Elks of Hudson for many years. He had previously attended the Baptist Church of Northborough.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday from 9:30-10:30 in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street. His funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
Anthony J. "Tony" DiLiddo
August 27, 1927 - November 1, 2006
WORCESTER - Anthony J. "Tony" DiLiddo, 79, formerly of Fales St., died Wednesday November 1st in the St. Francis Home, Worcester.
His wife, Shirley M. (Tellier) DiLiddo died in 1998. He leaves his 2 sons, Steven A. DiLiddo of Brookfield and Vini DiLiddo of Magnolia, MA; his daughter, Annette E. Denaris of Auburn; his two brothers, Joseph DiLiddo of Worcester and Vincent DiLiddo of Boylston; his sister, Lena Olson of Dennisport; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother John DiLiddo, and his sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Kirby.
He was born in Worcester, a son of the late Vincenzo and Josephine (Formiconi) DiLiddo and lived here most of his life.
He was a World War II veteran of the US Navy, and then served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. DiLiddo worked as a sales associate for more than 41 for the former John Bath Co., Worcester. He then worked for several years for the New York Twist Drill company.
He loved family gatherings, and visits with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles and a good meal. He participated in several area bowling leagues, and was an avid Red Sox fan.

Zina (Heirishanko) Doda
September 24, 1925 - November 29, 2006
SHREWSBURY - Zina (Heirishanko) Doda, 85, of Elizabeth St., died Wednesday, Nov. 29th in the UMass Memorial Medical Center.
Her husband, Jan Doda died in 1999.
She leaves her five children, John F. Doda of New Jersey, Donna A. Filo of Dudley, Richard J. Doda of Kingston, RI, David C. Doda of Douglas, and Lillian M. Labourr of Seattle, WA; her 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren, as well as several sisters in the Ukraine.
She was born in the Ukraine and came to the US after World War II with her GI husband, Jan. She taught herself English and to read, all while she adjusted to her new surroundings and her new life as a wife and mother. She has lived in Shrewsbury for many years.
She was a member of St. Casimir's Parish, Worcester and attended Mass daily at St. Anne's Church, Shrewsbury.
She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also was an avid walker and could be found walking throughout town daily.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday in St. Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
Barbara J. (Juaire) Doherty
January 18, 1947 - October 19, 2006
Millbury - Barbara J. (Juaire) Doherty, 59, died at home Thursday, Oct. 19th from complications due to lung cancer.
She leaves her husband of 33 years, John P. Doherty; her two sons, Michael J. Doherty of Millbury, and Daniel J. Doherty and his wife, Maria of Northboro; her daughter, Kathleen S. Capstick, and her husband Jason of Worcester; her sister Carole Hatstat, and her husband Ed of Upton, and several nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Russell A. and Charlotte L. (Nadow) Juaire. She was raised in Grafton. She graduated from Grafton High School.
Mrs. Doherty retired in April from the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, where she was a secretary working in the Cantor Art Gallery. Previously, she had worked for Wyman-Gordon Co., Grafton and Standard Foundry, Worcester.
She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, camping, but most treasured the time she spent on Cape Cod, especially Nauset Beach. She had served as a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader many years ago.
Barbara's family would liked to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the Radiation Department of Saint Vincent Hospital, and the VNA Care Hospice program for the loving and caring way in which they treated Barbara during her illness.

Margaert "Peg" (Ulozas) Donzila
June 16, 1921 - June 21, 2006
AUBURN, MA - Margaret "Peg" (Ulozas) Donzila, 85, of Auburn, and formerly of Lincoln, RI, beloved wife of the late Walter S. Donzila, died Wednesday in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, after an illness.
She was a loving mother, and is survived by her children; Joyce A. and her husband, Walter Peterson, of Auburn, Susan Breen-Landry and her husband Richard P. Landry, of Worcester, and Walt Donzila, and his wife Marilyn, of Glastonbury, CT. She also leaves her 4 grandchildren; Michael Peterson, of Auburn, Lynn Healy, of Middletown, CT and Tom and Dave Breen, of Tampa, FL.
She was born in Lawrence, the daughter of the late John and Anna (Martinkus) Ulozas. She was educated in the Lawrence schools. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School.
Peg loved music and dancing, and she was an avid reader. She was a giving and generous person who placed the needs of others before her own. She deeply will be missed by all who knew her.
Marguerite L. (Muir) Dorey
December 26, 1908 - April 22, 2006
SHREWSBURY - Marguerite L. (Muir) Dorey, 97, of North Quinsigamond Avenue, died Saturday, April 22nd in the Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Westborough.
Her husband of 48 years, Peter J. Dorey died in 1979.
She leaves her son, Lawrence G. Dorey, and his wife Marilyn of Northborough; her daughter, Mary Jane Jacino, and her husband Robert of Stamford, CT; eight grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Lawrence, William and Francis, and her four sisters, Lena, Dorothea, Clara and Gladys.
She was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, daughter of the late William and Lavenia (Gaul) Muir and moved to the United States at the age of 15. She has lived here for more than 40 years.
A longtime preschool teacher, Marguerite was known as "Granny Dorey" to the thousands of loving students whom she worked with at the DO-REY-ME Preschool in Northborough for more than 30 years. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Marguerite felt that family was the most important thing in her life. She loved flowers and gardening.
She was a member of St. Anne's Parish in Shrewsbury.
Marguerite's family wishes extends their heartfelt appreciation and sincere thanks for the loving care and kindnesses shown to their mother during her illness.

Ellen Frances Dormitzer
October 26, 1973 - May 28, 2006
HUDSON - Ellen F. Dormitzer, 32, of Hudson died Sunday, May 28, at home.
Ellen was the daughter of the late Henry Dormitzer II and the late Francella (Fallon) Dormitzer. She is survived by her brother, Henry Dormitzer III and his wife, Jessica, of Wellesley; her two nieces, Anna and Ella Dormitzer; her aunt, Cathleen M. Crowley of Worcester; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ellen was born in Harvey, Ill., and raised in West Boylston. She graduated from The Bancroft School, Worcester, 1991, and Boston College, 1996, where she studied piano and English. A talented singer, Ellen performed for Pope John Paul II as a member of the University Chorale of Boston College and she was a member of the Worcester Chorus.
Before leaving to pursue a graduate degree in linguistics, Ellen was an editor and manager at Fidelity where she enjoyed mentoring and training her colleagues in benefits communications.
Ellen had a great sense of humor, a keen mind, a love of learning and a habit of showing up late for everything. She enjoyed sailing, playing the piano, doing crossword puzzles, reading and spending time in Wareham and Cutty Hunk Island. She adored her nieces.
