ELIZABETH M. "BETTY" (WHITE) DEANGELIS
March 17, 1915 - March 22, 2006
SHREWSBURY - Elizabeth M. "Betty" (White) DeAngelis, 90, of 176 Lake Street, Shrewsbury died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 22nd in UMass Memorial Medical Center- University Campus.
She leaves her husband of 67 years, John A. DeAngelis; a son, John A. and his wife, Betsy DeAngelis of Marlborough; a daughter, Elizabeth M. and her husband, Gerald McDonald of Shrewsbury; four brothers, Peter H. White of Worcester, Robert White of Shrewsbury, Thomas White of California and William White of Northborough; three sisters, Judy Blanchard of Shrewsbury, Ruth Esteeves of West Boylston and Marianne Kittridge of Quinabaug, Connecticut; five grandchildren, John A. and his wife, Christine DeAngelis, of Charlton, Chris-anne and her husband, Richard Ayers of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, Steven DeAngelis of Bradenton, Florida, MaryBeth and her husband, Major Paul Ritkouski, U.S. Army of Papillion, Nebraska and Michael F.McDonald of Shrewsbury; also survived by seven great grandchildren, Timothy, Mathew, Rachel DeAngelis, Victoria and Natalie Ayers, Anthony and Alexandria De Angelis. She was preceded in death by five of her brothers, Joseph, Edmund, Frank, Roland, and Arthur White.
Betty was born in Shrewsbury, daughter of the late Peter H. and Elizabeth (Miner) White and has been a life long resident of Shrewsbury. She attended Shrewsbury Schools.
Mrs. DeAngelis was affectionately known in her family as "Auntie Betty". Some of her favorite things to do were cooking, sewing, knitting, and all kinds of crafts.
She was a member of Saint Mary's Parish in Shrewsbury.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Betty's family on Friday, March 24th from 5-8 P.M. in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 25th at 10 A.M. in Saint Mary's Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will be in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester.
SHIRLIE (HENDERSON) DEFALCO
December 26, 1921 - March 19, 2007
CHARLTON, MA - Shirlie (Henderson) DeFalco, 85, died Monday, March 19th in the Overlook Masonic Health Care Center, Charlton.
Her husband, Francis P. DeFalco died in 1965.
She leaves her three sons, Paul F. DeFalco of Charlton, Francis P. DeFalco, Jr. of Los Angeles, and Guy Randall of Henderson, NV; her four daughters, Joan Ferris of Worcester, Diane E. Garrepy of Dudley, Barbara Marino of Worcester, and Beverly Dufresne of Ogunquit, ME; three brothers, Robert Henderson of North Andover, Donald Henderson of Worcester, and Richard Henderson of Gaithersburg, MD; 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late James and Leona Frances (Clapp) Henderson and lived there most of her life. Mrs. DeFalco worked for more than 20 years for the Smith Valve Company, Westborough, retiring in 1986.

Robert M. "Bob" Defino
February 13, 1936 - January 25, 2007
SHREWSBURY - Robert M. "Bob" Defino, 70, of 21 Farmington Drive, Shrewsbury, died Thursday, January 25th surrounded by his loving family in UMass Memorial Medical Center-Memorial Campus of complications from Chronic Leukocytic Lymphoma, a disease he lived with for 24 years.
He leaves his loving wife and best friend of 50 years, Judith A. (Towns) Defino; four daughters, Margaret M. Dell'Olio of Shrewsbury, Elizabeth A. McMullan of Houston, Texas, Katy A. Couture of Grafton and Diane M. Rutigliano of Shrewsbury; his step-mother, Agnes B. (Lynch) Defino of Shrewsbury and ten grandchildren, Brendan, Keegan, Claire, P.J., Carissa, Emma, Derric, Nicholas, Michael and Matthew. He was predeceased by his brother Francis.
Bob was born and raised in Shrewsbury, son of the late Frank E. and Dorothy (Frost) Defino and graduated from Shrewsbury High School where he was an all around athlete. He was one of the first athletes to be inducted in the Shrewsbury Hall of Fame. He continued his education and passion for sports at the College of the Holy Cross where he graduated with the class of 1959 and was an outstanding baseball and football player.
Mr. Defino was an executive at the Ford Motor Company for 37 years before he retired in 1999. While he held his position at Ford, he and his family had lived in the mid west for 20 years before returning back east to Massachusetts 22 years ago.
He was a member of Saint Mary's Parish, the Shrewsbury High School Alumni Association and the Knights of Columbus Adelphi Council # 4181 all in Shrewsbury. Bob was also a proud member of the Varsity Club at Holy Cross College
The Defino family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses and medical staff at the Levine Cancer Center and UMass Memorial Medical Center-Memorial Campus for all their compassionate care and concern for bob and his family for the past eight years.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Bob's family on Tuesday, January 30th from 5-8 P.M. in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. The members of the Knights of Columbus Adelphi Council #4181 will conduct their ritual at 6:00 PM. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday January 31st at 10 AM in Saint Mary's Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will take place in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Shirley M. (Largesse) Delage
January 9, 1930 - January 26, 2008
WEBSTER, MA - Shirley M. (Largesse) Delage, 78, formerly of St. Augustine, FL and Auburn, died Friday January 25th in the Lanessa Extended Care Center, after an illness.
She leaves her beloved husband of 60 years, Edward P. Delage; her three children, Stephen P. Delage and his wife Nancy of Pomfret Ctr., CT, Michael E. Delage and his wife Jane of Dudley, and Christine D. Johnson of Brewster; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Victor Largesse.
Shirley was born and raised in Worcester, the daughter of the late Earl T. and Winifred M. (Howe) Delage. She spent many years in Auburn before moving to St. Augustine, FL in 1982.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Delage had worked for Rotman's Furniture in Worcester for several years. She previously worked for the former L. Farber Company, Worcester.
She was a former member of Saint Joseph's Parish in Auburn. While in Florida, Shirley, along with her husband, gave many hours of volunteer service to the RSVP Program of Saint John's County, FL. She also enjoyed playing Bridge, swimming and reading.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visiting period with Shirley's family on Tuesday, January 29th from 9 AM to 10:30 AM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. Her funeral will follow with a Mass at 11 AM in Saint Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford Street, Auburn. Committal services will be in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.
RICHARD A. "DICK" DELAURIE
August 14, 1940 - July 9, 2007
Charlton - Richard A. "Dick" Delaurie, 66, of Southbridge Rd., Charlton died unexpectedly Mon. July 9th in Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge.
He leaves his mother, Lucille M. (Baird) Nims of Leicester; two sisters, Patricia A. Love of Auburn, Susan Hobby of Millbury; three daughters, Wendy Richmond, Kim Ghods, Lori Delaurie all of Worcester; his partner Grace Knight of Charlton; four grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Dick was born in Worcester, son of the late Arthur J. Delaurie.
He was a self employed auto mechanic for many years and enjoyed working on motorcycles and restoring cars.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 4-7 PM Thursday, July 12th in Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. His funeral will be held Friday, July 13th at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
Judith P. (Maynard) DeMaria

WEST BOYLSTON - Judith P. (Maynard) DeMaria, 70, of West Boylston, formerly of Boylston, died Friday, January 12th surrounded by her loving family in Autumn Village Nursing Center in Worcester.
Judith leaves her best friend and husband of 48 years, Patsy J. DeMaria; her daughter, Sharon, and her husband, Peter V. Ojerholm of Holden two brothers, Edward W. Maynard, Jr. and John Maynard both of Maine; a sister Theresa Spacciapoli of Leominster; two grandsons, William Henderson of Oxford and David Henderson of Boylston: three great grandsons, Connor, Colin and William and several nieces and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, John DeMaria, a brother, Earl Maynard and a sister, Barbara LaVallee.
Mrs. DeMaria was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Edward W. and Claire (Carbonneau) Maynard and had lived in Boylston for many years before moving to West Boylston 5 years ago. She attended Worcester Public Schools.
Judith had been employed at the former Hahnemann Hospital in Worcester for over 20 years and then continued her nursing career at Shrewsbury Nursing Home before she retired. She enjoyed all sorts of arts and crafts and loved to spend time gardening.

Lucien J. Dembski
October 3, 1913 - November 27, 2006
Auburn - Lucien J. Dembski, 93, formerly of Arlington Street, died Sunday, November 05 in the Autumn Village Skilled Nursing Center, Worcester.
He leaves his wife, Josephine M. (Zenevich) Dembski, as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Sabina Waskavich.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late Kostanti and Josephine (Sanicwik) Demski and lived in Auburn for many years.
Mr. Dembski retired in 1974 from Norton Company, Worcester where he had worked for 34 years.
He was a member of North American Martyrs Parish in Auburn, and enjoyed working in caring for his yard. He was an avid fly fisherman and enjoyed fishing all throughout North America. He also created several fishing lures still in use today.

Florence M. (Couture) DeMers
February 11, 1911 - November 15, 2005
AUBURN, MA - Florence M. (Couture) Demers, 94, of Auburn formerly of Leicester, died Tuesday in the Life Care Center of Auburn, after an illness.
Her husband Ernest C. DeMers died in 1993.
She is survived by her children; Ernest W. DeMers, of E. Ryegate, VT, and Jacqueline M. Burning, of Leicester. She leaves 5 grandchildren and 10 Great grandchildren. Other survivors include a sister Mildred Courville, of Norwalk, CT and a good friend and neighbor, Steve Naleski.
She is predeceased by a grandson E. Peter DeMers.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Louis and Agnes (Beringer) Couture; she was raised and educated in Worcester, graduating from Commerce High School.
She and her husband Ernest owned and operated DeMers Garage in Auburn, for many years.
She was a member of North American Martyrs Church.

CLARA M. (SBROGNA) DEPALO
June 10, 1932 - May 30, 2006
SHREWSBURY - Clara M. (Sbrogna) DePalo, 73, of Maury Lane, died Tuesday, May 30th at the Shrewsbury Nursing & Rehab. Center, after a long courageous struggle with scleraderma.
She leaves her beloved husband of 52 years, Maurice M. DePalo; her three sons, Maurice M. DePalo and his wife Barbara of Shrewsbury, Daniel M. DePalo and his wife Theresa of Worcester, and Kenneth M. DePalo and his wife Angela of Ramsey, NJ; her five grandchildren, Paul, Danielle, Francesca, Sofia and Luca; her brother, Joseph Sbrogna and his wife Constance of Shrewsbury; her sister, Delores, wife of John Smith of Worcester; her sisters-in-law, Lena, wife of the late Augustine "Gus" Sbrogna of Worcester, and Catherine "Kay", wife of the late Anthony "Dunny" Sbrogna of Shrewsbury; her brother-in-law, Paul and his wife Marie DePalo of Shrewsbury; as well as many nephews and nieces. Beside her 2 brothers, she was predeceased by her sister, Mary, wife of the late Frank Gerolomo, and her sister-in-law, the late Angelina, wife of the late Edward Simisky.
She was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Ralph and Clelia (Bove) Sbrogna and graduated from Commerce High School. She has lived in Shrewsbury for many years.
A devoted homemaker who loved to cook and sew, Clara cherished being surrounded by her family whenever possible. She was a member of St. Anne's Parish in Shrewsbury.

Helen DeProspo

WORCESTER - Helen F. DeProspo, 60, of Worcester, died Saturday in UMASS Memorial Medical Healthcare, 55 Lake Ave, after an illness.
She leaves her 2 children, Eric Kosciusko, of Wilbraham, and Kristin C. Kosciusko Tritschler and her husband Joseph P. Tritschler, of Disputanta, VA; three grandchildren, Joseph R., Olivia, and Nicholas Tritschler; three sisters, Carolyn J. Dumais, of Auburn, Judith McKinney and her husband Lance McKinney, of Tijeras, NM, and Norma John and her husband Richard John, of Worcester; a brother, Michael DeProspo, of Glendale, AZ; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Three sisters, Joan Travis, Virginia Ubnoske, and Ellen Hale predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Michael and Ruth (Franson) DeProspo; she was raised and educated in Auburn. She is a graduate of Clark University, and, the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she received her MBA. Ms. DeProspo was an adjunct faculty member of Fitchburg State College where she taught for many years.
She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, in Worcester. She was involved in many of its groups over the years including, the Stephens Ministry and the Rebekah Circle. She was recently elected to the Church Council. She is a Life Master at Bridge, and played at the Cavendish Club of Worcester, among others. She was a voracious reader. She loved everyone unconditionally and will be greatly missed.

HELEN J. (KLIMASKI) DEROBBIO
January 16, 1918 - December 24, 2005
BONITA SPRINGS, FL- Helen J. (Klimaski) DeRobbio, 87, of Bonita Springs, Florida formerly of Shrewsbury, and Providence R.I., died December 24th after being stricken ill at home.
Her husband, Joseph DeRobbio died in 1986. She leaves a daughter, Carolyn P. DeRobbio-Murphy and her husband, Robert F. Murphy with whom she lived; a sister in law, Leli Kali of Dayton Ohio; three nephews, Walter and Greg Kali of Dayton, Ohio, Robert DeRobbio of Providence, RI; a niece, Dolores Mancini of Cranston, RI. Her four brothers, Vincent, Stanley, Walter and Henry Klimaski all predeceased her.
Helen was born in Providence, Rhode Island the daughter of Frank and Wladyslaw (Kaczynski) Klimaski and had lived in Shrewsbury for twelve years before moving to Florida. She was a member of United Commercial Travelers, Providence Council # 67 in Providence, Rhode Island.
