Marjorie A. (Wilson) Cushing
April 28, 1918 - September 26, 2006
SHREWSBURY - Marjorie A. (Wilson) Cushing, 88, of Shrewsbury, died Saturday September 23rd in UMass Memorial Medical Center- University Campus.
Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, Eugene H. Cushing, and a daughter, Sandra J. Bailey.
She leaves a daughter, Linda L. Carlson and her husband, David A. of Shrewsbury, a son in law, Sandy A. Bailey of San Rafael, CA; two granddaughters, Morgan A. Bailey of San Rafael, CA and Sara Mumby of Denver, CO; a great granddaughter, Braunwyn Mumby; also survived by special cousins of the Charles Wilson Family of Vermont, The Leonard Pukaite family of West Boylston and the Clifford Pukaite family of Wisconsin. Marjorie would no doubt would also hold close to her heart the "Golden Girls" Betty, Una, Shirley and Vera and long time friends, Kay Townsend, Winnie and Johnny Logan, Carol Gordon and Ted and Jane Barber.
Marjorie was born in Meredith, New Hampshire, daughter of the late Frank and Mildred (Bailey) Wilson and had lived in Shrewsbury since 1921. She graduated from the Shrewsbury School System and Becker College in Worcester.
She worked for the Town of Shrewsbury, eventually holding the title of Assistant Town Clerk, a position she held for several years before she retired in the 1980's. Marjorie was always a mentor, organizer, and was the Sorority mother and matron of her daughter's high school sorority. She was always finding time in her busy schedule to plan wholesome activities for a large group of high school teenagers in the 1960's.
She was an avid baseball fan. She spent her last couple of days watching and rooting for her beloved Boston Red Sox.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Marjorie's family on Friday, September 29th from 1:00-2:30 in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. A funeral service will begin at 2:30 PM. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Merrimac, Massachusetts.
Bernard R. D'Agostino
September 16, 1919 - December 10, 2005
SHREWSWBURY - Bernard R. D'Agostino, 86, of 61 Dewey Road, Shrewsbury died December 6th after being stricken ill.
Mr. D'Agostino leaves his wife, Lena M. (Falcone) D'Agostino; a son Bernard J. D'Agostino of North Clearwater, Florida; a brother, Victor D'Agostino of Rochdale; two sisters, Helen Georges and Jennie Keegan both of Clearwater, Florida; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was born in Shrewsbury, son of the late Antonio and Carmella (Terabessa) D'Agostino and had lived in Shrewsbury all of his life. He graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1938. Bernard was a W.W. II U.S. Army veteran having served with the 1st Battalion, 424th Infantry in the European Theatre. He was captured in Germany and was a Prisoner of War for four months, for this he received three Bronze Stars.
Bernard had been employed as a Machinist for over 40 years for Worcester Gear Works in Worcester before he retired in 1980. He was a member of Saint Anne's Parish in Shrewsbury and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

A funeral Mass for Mr. D'Agostino will be celebrated on Monday, December 12th at 10 A.M. in Saint Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. ANNA M. (MCGAUGHRAN) D'ELIA
August 4, 1918 - June 10, 2006
CHARLTON/AUBURN, MA - Anna M. (McGaughran) D'Elia, 87, of 28 Arrowhead Avenue, Auburn, passed away on Saturday, June 10th at the Overlook Masonic Health Center in Charlton.
Her husband, Nunzi D'Elia passed away in 1983. Anna leaves two sons, N. John D'Elia and his wife, Geraldine of Auburn with whom she lived until being stricken ill and James D'Elia and his wife, Kathleen of New Jersey. A brother, Peter McGaughran and his wife, Lee and a sister, Mary Pilovsky and her husband, Michael; two dear sister in laws, Delores and Florence McGaughran; also survived by 13 grandchildren John, Peter, and Joseph D'Elia, Maryann Copeland and Catherine Fontaine all of Massachusetts; James, Anthony, Joseph, Gregory, John, Christopher D'Elia, Immaculatta D'Elia, and Kathleen Youncofski all of New Jersey; 9 great grandchildren, Nicholas, Kayla-Anna and Emily-Grace Fontaine, Christopher, James and Kevin Copeland, Greg, Eric and Michael Youncofski; she also leaves many nieces, nephews, and longtime family friends.
Mrs. D'Elia was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, daughter of the late John and Mary (Callahan) McGaughran and was one of 10 children. She had lived in New Jersey for many years before moving to Auburn in 1991.
Anna spent her time enjoying her family, especially her great grandchildren, singing to them and telling them exactly how it was. Anna knew how truly blessed she was by all the love that surrounded her. This love came from her family, friends, and the staff at the Overlook Masonic Health Post Acute Center who gave great care, attention, and support to Anna and her entire family.
Anna will be sadly missed, forever remembered and loved, and she will always be in our prayers.

Joseph P. Dlabec, Jr.
December 9, 1942 - November 18, 2006
Auburn - Joseph P. Dalbec, Jr., 63, of Merriam St., died Saturday November 18th in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester after being stricken ill at home.
He leaves his wife of 42 years, Dorothy A. (Rivard) Dalbec; his two loving children, Kimberly A. Dalbec and Joseph P. Dalbec, III both of Auburn; his brother, Paul J. Dalbec of Homosassa Springs, FL; his sister, Carol Worthington of Homosassa, FL as well as his niece and nephew, Erin and Eddie Dalbec.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late Joseph P. Dalbec, Sr. and Marion (Elliott) Dalbec. He attended Auburn schools.
Mr. Dalbec was a self employed auto body repairman for many years.
He was an associate member of the Chester P. Tuttle American Legion Post, Auburn. He loved camping and fishing, but most of all he loved the time he spent wit his family.

Victoria A. Daniel
May 7, 1918 - November 17, 2006
WORCESTER - Victoria A. (Kristopovich) Daniel, 88, of Hope Avenue, died Friday, November 17th in the Hospice Residence at Coes Pond, Worcester.
Her husband, Wilfred G.V. Daniel died in 1987.
She leaves her son, Wilfred G. V. "Bill" Daniel and his wife, Marcy of Glendale, AZ; his two daughters, Carol V. David and her husband, Richard of Grafton, and Nancy M. Donnelly and her husband, Richard of North Brookfield; her two brothers, Anthony Krist, and his wife Geraldine of Seattle, WA, and Paul Kristo and his wife Nan of Worcester; her two sisters, Helen Faucher of Paxton, and Dorothy Kamosky of Cherry Valley; her 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughters, Eileen B. Ferro, and Martha J. O'Neill, as well as her brothers John, Joseph, and Benjamin.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Adam and Victoria (Baubilute) Kristopovich and lived here all of her life.
Mrs. Daniel worked as a merchandising clerk for the Chess King Company for 10 years. She also worked as a maid at the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester. She enjoyed crocheting.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Victoria's family at the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn on Monday from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. A prayer service will be held at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Joshua A. Davaz
January 19, 2007 - May 2, 2007
Gardner - Joshua A. Davaz, three and a half month old son of Christopher A. and Lisa M. (Berthiaume) Davaz, of Gardner, died Thursday May 2 in Saints Memorial Hospital in Lowell, after an unexpected illness.
Besides his parents he leaves his brothers and sisters; Paul Green of Worcester, Shaun Green, of Gardner, Christopher Davaz Jr. of Worcester, currently residing in China, Mindy Green and Suzanne Davaz, both of Worcester. He also leaves his paternal Grandmother Claudine Viestroffer of Marlborough, and his maternal grandparents; Mr. & Mrs. Raymond and Linda Bethiaume, of Rochdale. Other members of his family include; uncles, aunts and cousins.
Joshua was Mommy and Daddy's little angel. He will be sadly missed by all, but he will live on forever in the hearts and minds of those who loved him.

AGNES K. DAVIS
January 14, 1923 - April 21, 2006
SHREWSBURY - Agnes K. (Kowalski) Davis, 83, of Beaver Dr., died Friday, April 21st in the St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
She leaves her husband of 53 years, Stanley L. Davis; her son, Glenn P. Davis, and his wife Linda of Glenview, IL, as well as her three grandchildren, Chris, Chad and Ann.
Mrs. Davis was born in New Britain, CT, a daughter of the late Adam and Maria (Kazak) Kowalski and lived there many years before moving to Shrewsbury almost 50 years ago. She graduated from Connecticut College.
In her young days, Mrs. Davis worked as an executive secretary. Her focus then was spent caring for her family as a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary's Parish in Shrewsbury and several social groups, where her quiet presence and participation will always be remembered.

Donald N. "Deano" Davis
November 24, 1925 - July 17, 2006
SHREWSBURY - Donald N. "Deano" Davis, 80, of Job Cushing Road, died Monday, July 17th in the Beaumont Nursing & Rehab Center, Westborough, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Ann F. (Farrell) Davis; his three children, Mark S. Davis of Sudbury, Scott M. Davis of San Francisco, CA, and Deborah D., wife of Edward Roche of Easton, CT; his four grandchildren, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Jack and Connor; as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Frederick Davis in 1976.
He was born in and raised in Worcester, a son of the late Frederick and Mary (Nevins) Davis. He graduated from St. John's High School, Worcester where he was a standout athlete in three sports. He went on to the College of the Holy Cross, where he played football while earning his B.S. in Education. He then earned his graduate degree from Rutgers University, and also attended several advanced banking courses after graduation. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Davis enjoyed a long career in banking. He was a Vice President of the former Worcester County National Bank. He was then a mortgage officer for the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency, retiring in 1994.
He was a member of St. Mary's Parish in Shrewsbury, served as a town meeting member for many years, served on the Shrewsbury personnel board for 13 years, and was a member of the Democratic Town Committee. He was also a long time assistant football coach for St. Peter's High School, Worcester. "Deano" was inducted into the St. John's Sports Hall of Fame several years ago. "Deano" was most happy spending time with his family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a good story for all. He also loved visits to the ocean and enjoyed playing golf and tennis.

A funeral Mass will then be celebrated at 11 AM in St. Mary's Church, 640 Main St., Shrewsbury. Burial in the family lot will follow in St. John's cemetery (St. Ann Sec.), Worcester.

Stanley L. Davis
October 1, 1923 - December 11, 2006
SHREWSBURY - Stanley L. Davis, 83, formerly of Beaver Drive, died Monday, Dec. 11th in the Evanston Hospital, Evanston, IL.
His beloved wife, Agnes (Kowalski) Davis died this past April.
He leaves his son, Glenn P. Davis and his wife Linda of Glenview, IL; three grandchildren, Chris Davis of New York, NY, Charles Davis and Ann Davis of Glenview, IL.
He was born in New York, NY son of the late Edward and Rose (Kurlander) Davis. He graduated from City College, NY in 1946 with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
He was retired in 1988 as Director of Marketing for Electronics Corporation of America, Photo Switch Division, where he had worked for 16 years. Previously, he was the Vice President of Sales of Machinery Electrification Inc., Northborough, a company he co-founded in the early 1950's. He started his career with the Square D Corporation.
He was a member of St. Mary's Parish in Shrewsbury, and had served as a Commissioner for the Shrewsbury Electric Light Co (SELCO) for 35 years, until his retirement this past June. In his retirement, Stanley was an active member of SCORE(Service Corps of Retired Executives) Worcester Chapter, providing business consulting and advisory services to small businesses.

Paul P. Dean
March 10, 1919 - October 23, 2006
SHREWSBURY - Mr. Paul P. Dean, a long-time Shrewsbury resident passed away on Monday, October 23rd after being stricken ill at home.
Paul was born on the island of Fayal, Azores, Portugal before becoming a U.S. Citizen at the tender age of 2. He was the son of the late Hector S. and Leonilda A. (Franco) Pimentel.
Mr. Dean was a World War II veteran, following his military service he was a well-known radio announcer and personality at WTAG for over 23 years until his retirement in 1968.
Paul was a graduate of Quincy High School and the New England Conservatory in Boston where he studied his first love, acting. He pursued his interest in drama locally as a member of the Foothills Theater Company and the Red Barn Players in Westborough, where he performed with such notables as Vincent Price and Tony Randall.
Mr. Dean's second passion was public speaking, which he taught at numerous area colleges, churches, civic organizations and in his own home. Following his career in radio, Paul worked in public relations before joining the Worcester Science Center, now known as the Ecotarium, as Membership Director. Later, he used his considerable people skills as an Employment Coordinator for the Massachusetts Department of Employment Security, retiring in 1997.
Above all, Mr. Dean was a family man. He leaves his loving wife of 59 years, Evelyn R. (Sansoucy) Dean, his devoted children, Jonathan P. Dean of Shrewsbury and Sharon E. (Dean) McGregor and her husband Gregor I. McGregor of Concord and his precious granddaughter, Margaret Rose McGregor, also of Concord. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Vivian (Sansoucy) Long of Framingham and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Gary P. Dean, two brothers, Frederick and Harry Pimentel and two sisters, Theresa Crawford and Mary Hurst.
