Norma E. Vogt, 69
West Barnstable - Norma Elizabeth (MacIver) Vogt, 69, a former real estate agent, died unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 13, 1998 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
She was the wife of Louis C. Vogt.
Born in Swampscott, Mrs. Vogt was raised and educated in Jamaica Plain. She graduated from Jamaica Plain High School and attended college in the Boston area.
Mrs. Vogt worked for a few years at the National Pneumatic Co. in Boston before getting married and moving to Birmingham, Mich., where she lived for 35 years.
For a short time, she worked as a real estate agent for Hall and Hunter Real Estate in Birmingham. She was also active in the Birmingbam PTA and many school activities.
She moved to the Cape in 1987, where she was an active member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville.
Her interests included tennis and her children.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, John MacIver Vogt of Georgia, Michael M. Vogt and Christopher C. Vogt, both of Michigan; three daughters, Katherine E. Arrendale and Elizabeth A. Mekas, both of Georgia, and Mary Jane Albenese of Michigan; two sisters, Isabelle Fleming of Massachusetts and Ann Kenny of Dedham; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was held at Our Lady of Victory Church, Centerville.

Helen L. Camara, 76
West Hyannisport - Helen L. Camara, 76, died unexpectedly Monday, January 4, 1999 at her home.
Born in Raynham, she was raised in Norton, where she graduated from Wheaton College. She also attended George Washington University.
She worked for the State Department in Washington , D.C., from 1947 to 1961.
In 1961, she moved to West Hyannisport and taught Spanish at Barnstable High School. She retired in 1987.
Survivors include a brother, Henry Camara of Hyannis; three sisters, Marie Stahl of Doylestown, Pa., Doris Wilder of Rockport and Jeanne Zikorus of Scotsdale, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral and burial were private.

Alma J. Doiron, 84
Centerville - Alma J. Doiron, 84, a lifelong resident of Centerville, died Friday, December 18, 1998 at Cape Cod Hospital following a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Paul C. Doiron.
Mrs. Doiron was born and raised in Centerville. She attended Barnstable Schools, where she excelled in athletics, especially basketball and field hockey. She graduated from Barnstable High School in 1932.
She attended the Peter Bent Brigham School of Nursing and was a Red Cross member in Centerville during World War II.
Mrs. Doiron worked for the Waltham Watch factory during the 1930s and later at the Barnstable High School as a matron until retiring in the mid-1970s.
She lived for a brief period in Boston but returned to Centerville in the 1930s.
Mrs. Doiron enjoyed hunting, gardening and was an avid reader.
She leaves two sons, William J. Doiron of Forestdale and Peter M. Doiron of Barnstable and Brooklyn, New York; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial were private.

Robert K. Earls, 76
Centerville - Robert K. Earls, 76, a former engineering professor and musician, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 1998 at the Cape Regency Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Centerville after a long illness.
He was the husband of Milicent (Rogers) Earls for 46 years.
Born in Southbridge, Mr. Earls was a 35-year resident of Wayland, moving to Centerville five years ago.
He served in the Navy during World War II, stationed in the South Pacific.
Mr. Earls was a professor at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. Prior to that, he was a mechanical engineer with several high-tech and computer companies.
A pianist and organist, Mr. Earls served as a church organist in Newton Upper Falls and at Wentworth Institute.
He was a life member of the American Legion Post 31 in Southbridge, the Southbridge Musicians Union, and a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church, Centerville.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Alan R. Earls of Franklin; a brother, Arthur M. Earls of Sturbridge; two sisters, Mary Clare Moriarty of Tullahoma, Tenn., and Pauline Carroll of Bristol, Conn.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Southbridge.

Angela T. Emanuel, 85
Hyannis - Angela T. Emanuel, 85, died Wednesday, January 6, 1999 at Cape Cod Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of Nicholas F. Emanuel, who died in 1978.
Born on the island of Samos, Greece, she came to the United States at age 2. She came to Salmon Falls, N.H., moving to Dover, N.H., and then to Cambridge, where she lived for many years before moving to Hyannis in the mid-1930s.
Mrs. Emanuel and her husband owned delicatessens, The Fenway Spa in Boston and The West End Food Shop in Hyannis.
She retired in 1970, wintered in Tarpon Springs, Fla., for several years, moving there until 1983 when she returned to Hyannis.
A member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, she enjoyed crossword puzzles, needlework and gardening.
She is survived by two daughters, Euphemia Emanuel of Dover, N.H., and Daphne Emanuel of Sydenham, Ontario; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Mosswood Cemetery, Cotuit.

Philip W. Gentile, 65
Hyannis - Philip W. Gentile, 65, died Saturday, January 2, 1999 at Cape Cod Hospital after a long illness.
He was the husband of Charlotte R. (Taylor) Gentile.
Born, raised and educated in Halifax, Mr. Gentile joined the Army after finishing his education and served in the Korean War.
A baker his entire Life, Mr. Gentile worked for several bakeries in the Brockton area over the years before moving to the Cape in 1984. He worked until his retirement in the early 1990s and was a resident of Hyannis at the time of his death.
Mr. Gentile was a member of the Disabled American Veterans in Hyannis. He loved fishing and bingo, and was a generous person and a good Samaritan.
Surviving besides his wife are four daughters, Cindy L. Dabkowski and Karen M. Spano, both of Plymouth, Lee T. Grace of Falmouth, and Diane L. Springhetti of East Bridgewater; four sons, Mark Gentile of Hyannis, Michael P. Gentile of Falmouth, Philip W. Gentile Jr. of Brockton and Stephen A. Gentile of East Bridgewater; two brothers, Alberico Gentile of Halifax and Sonino Gentile of Marshfield; three sisters, Rubina Kelley of New Jersey, Eleanor Cimorelli of Halifax and Gloria Ricci of Rhode Island; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

George K. Horton, 87
Craigville - George K. Horton, 87, died Tuesday, January 5, 1999 at the Cape Regency Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Centerville.
He was the husband of Mary C. (Mateer) Horton, who died in 1995. They had been married for 52 years.
Born in Niagara Falls, N.Y., Mr. Horton lived there until moving to Craigville in 1974. He worked for the Carborundum Co. in Niagara Falls for many years, retiring in 1974.
A World War II Army veteran, he was a 50-year member of the Masons and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason.
Surviving are a son, Mark A. Horton of Danbury, Conn.; a daughter, Maureen A. Horton of Craigville; a brother, Willard B. Horton of Lewiston, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.
He was also the father of the late Michael E. Horton.
Burial was in Mosswood Cemetery, Cotuit.

William J. Mahony, 80
Hyannis - William J. Mahony, 80, a former manufacturer's representative, died Wednesday, January 6, 1999 at Cape Cod Hospital.
He was the husband of Dorothy (Cogan) Mahony.
Born in Boston, Mr. Mahony was raised in Belmont, where he graduated from Belmont High School in 1936. He moved to Hyannis in 1995 from Centerville, where he had lived since 1981. Before that, he had lived in Lexington for more than 25 years.
Mr. Mahony worked for Northeast Airlines as a station manager in Houlton, Maine, during the early 1940s. He then served in the Navy during World War II with the Air Transport Division and was honorably discharged in 1945 as airman first class.
From 1961 until his retirement in 1994, he was a manufacturer's representative in the Northeast area for Pieri Creations of Philadelphia, Pa.
Mr. Mahony was past-president and an honorary life member of the Home Furnishings Association of New England. He enjoyed golf and other sports.
Surviving besides his wife are two brothers, Richard C. Mahony of Washington 's Crossing, Pa., and Robert E. Mahony of Boston; a sister, Ruth C. Mahony of Belmont; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial was in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Centerville.
