Daniel Peter Laukaitis
January 18, 1929 - January 5, 2007
AUBURN - Daniel Peter Laukaitis, 77, of Woodland Road, passed away peacefully at the Life Care Center of Auburn, after an illness.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Antionette (Chickowski)
He leaves 4 children; Diane Doherty and her husband Philip, of Charlton, Chris Laukaitis, and his wife Lorre, of Chesapeake, VA., Daniel Laukaitis, and his wife Margaret, of Barre, and Daniel Szklarz, and his wife Carmella, of Worcester. He leaves 11 loving grandchildren and 1 loving great grandchild, a brother Edward Laukaitis, of Petersham, and his sisters Nancy Brosnan, of Worcester, Eleanor Mazzone, of Spencer, Genevieve "Jean" Berry, of Worcester, and Beverly Cox, of Springfield, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Patricia Geraway, and his brother Alphonse Laukaitis.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late Peter G. and Olga (Davis) Laukaitis. He was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade school.
He served his country proudly as a member of the United States Army; he fought in The Korean War.
He worked for Callahan Sheet Metal for many years. He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers International. He was a life member of the Auburn Elks Lodge, the American Legion. He was a member of Saint Joseph's Church.
He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, an avid fisherman, hunter, and bowler.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday from 4 - 6 PM in the Britton - Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. His funeral will be held from the funeral home Monday with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford Street, Auburn. Burial will follow in Notre - Dame Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to: Auburn District Nursing Association, 191 Pakachoag St. Auburn, MA 01501 or to: Second Chance Animal Shelter 111 Young Road, E. Brookfield, MA 01515

William F. "Bill" Lavigne, III
April 16, 1924 - February 11, 2006
AUBURN - William F. "Bill" Lavigne III, 81, of Pakachoag Village, Auburn, died Saturday, February 11th in Millbury Health Care after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 59 years, Blanche F. (Lange) Lavigne; His children, Mary A. Lasher and her husband, William of Lebanon, Ohio, William F. Lavigne and his wife, Kathleen of Dudley and Barbara L. Dacri and her husband Richard of Kennebunkport, Maine; also survived by four grandchildren, Jennifer Hearn, William F. Lavigne, V., Joseph Lasher and Michael Dacri; one great grandson, William F. Lavigne VI, and several nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Lavigne was born in Worcester, son of the late William F. Lavigne, Jr., and Corinne M. (Germain) Lavigne and had lived in Auburn for over 45 years. Bill was a W.W. II U.S. Army veteran having served in European African Middle Eastern Theater.
Bill had been employed as a wire twister for the Anderson Brush Corporation in Worcester for 22 years before he retired in 1987. Previously, he had worked for Wyman Gordon for several years.
Mr. Lavigne was a member of the Auburn Senior Center, the Chester P. Tuttle American Legion Post # 279 and a lifetime member of the Century Sportsman's Club all in Auburn. Many years ago, the Auburn Community recognized Bill naming Lake Lavigne in his honor.
Bill also had several hobbies he enjoyed fishing, reading, storytelling and history.
A funeral Mass for Bill will be held on Thursday, February 16th at 11 A.M. in North American Martyr's Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn. There are no calling hours. Burial will be convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Lorraine Gleick Nordgren Senior Center, 4 Goddard Drive, Auburn. Britton - Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn is assisting the Lavigne Family with these arrangements.

Barbara Goulding (Warren) Loftus
January 19, 1919 - November 10, 2006
Oshkosh, WI - Barbara G. (Warren) Loftus, 87, passed away Friday in the Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, after an illness. She was born January 19, 1919 and raised in Auburn Massachusetts the Daughter of the late Arthur Warren and Rachel (Pond) Warren.
She graduated from Auburn High School and attended Middlebury College in Vermont where she was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. Her husband, Dr. Edward R Loftus, preceded her in death on April 2, 1998.
They were married August 23, 1941.
Following their marriage she graduated from the Salter Secretarial School and moved to New York, where Dr. Loftus attended Albany Medical College and Barbara was a secretary for Albany County.
She was also a volunteer for The American Red Cross. Before moving to Wisconsin, Barbara and her husband also lived in Scarsdale, New York where she was a medical secretary, leaving there to move to Waterville, Maine.
Barbara and her family came to Wisconsin in 1955 after 4 years as an Army wife in Alabama. They lived in Wales, WI for two years, moving to Oshkosh in 1957.
Barbara was a fulltime mother to her children, and was diligent in her 15 years of volunteer work for The Red Cross at Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh. She was a member of The Winnebago County Medical Auxiliary, the Winnebago Community Club, and the First Congregational Church of Oshkosh.
Barbara is survived by her son, David (Barb Hegeman), Oshkosh; her daughter, Lydia (Roger) Anderson; San Antonio, TX and a grandson, Ross (Stephanie) Scherer, currently on active duty in the US Army, at Ft. Lewis, WA. She is also survived by her sister Marjorie Mitchell, Lenox, MA and her brother Richard Warren, of Auburn, Massachusetts.
Step - Grandchildren Katie (Ryan) Vaubel, Sun Prairie, WI and Sarah (Jason) Larson, Belleville, WI, and four step great - Grandchildren; Gavin and Emma Vaubel and Jacob and Kendall Larson.
Funeral: Thu. November 16, 2006, 11 AM Britton Funeral Homes Inc.
Burial: Thu. November 16, 2006, 12:00 PM Hillside Cemetery

Louis Domenic Giannini
September 24, 1926 - September 1, 2007
AUBURN/WELLS,ME - Louis Domenic Giannini of Auburn, Massachusetts and Moody Point, Wells, Maine died September 1, 2007 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
He is survived by his sister Antoinette F. Giannini of Auburn; niece Anne (Giannini) Coyne and husband John and children Mary Elizabeth, Stephen Ryan, and Mathew John; Niece Elizabeth (Giannini) McCollough and her husband Jeffrey and daughter Rose Elizabeth of Hatfield; Nephew Frank Domenic Giannini, Jr. and wife Jennifer and daughters Eden Rose and Ava Mae of Roanoke, Virginia.
Louis is son of the late Domenic and Mary (Amato) Giannini and is predeceased by his younger brother, Frank Domenic and his wife, Rosemarie (Monfreda).
Louis Graduated from North High School and then served in the United States Navy during the final months of World War II. He graduated from Clark University in 1952 where he also coached the women's basketball team. He also received his Master of Arts from Boston College in Sociology and a Certificate of Graduate Studies from Boston University.
Following his studies, Louis accepted a coaching and teaching position at Worcester's Sacred Heart Academy were he coached several championship seasons, including a New England Catholic Schools championship in 1956/57.
Louis then taught at North High School and Burncoat High School and was elected by his students to direct the Worcester Public Schools participation in the Dynamy Program. He retired from the Worcester School System in 1991.
In addition to a great love for his work and the students with which he felt privileged to teach, Louis enjoyed traveling, gardening, theater and the world of great music and art. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday from 6 - 8 PM in the Britton - Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St. Auburn. His funeral will be held Tuesday from the funeral home, with a Mass celebrated at 11:00 AM in the North American Martyrs' Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the York Hospital, 15 Hospital Drive, York, ME 03909

Lynn M. Mills
March 26, 1949 - December 27, 2005
AUBURN - Lynn Marie (Forgea) Mills, 56 of Pearl Street, Auburn, died Tuesday in her home, surrounded by her family and a close friend, after a struggle with cancer.
She is survived by her husband, Robert T. Mills, and her son Brent A. LeBeau, of Pittsfield, her brother George H. Forgea, and his wife Deborah, a nephew Tyler G. Forgea, and Great Aunt and Godmother, Emily Peltier, all of North Adams.
She was born in North Adams, the daughter of the late George H. and Mildred G. (Tourjee) Forgea; she was educated in North Adams schools.
She worked as an engineer for the former NYNEX, for many years, retiring in 1996
Lynn was a talented freehand artist, she loved to read, and she was a lover of all animals, especially her 3 Greyhounds, Samantha, Emma, and Sarah.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 5 - 8 PM Friday in the Britton - Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Her funeral will be held Saturday from the funeral home, with a Mass at 10:30 AM in Saint Joseph's Church, 194 Oxford Street, Auburn. Burial in North Adams will be held at the convenience of the family.

Ermioni (Hatzikoitsis) Moutoudis
August 4, 1933 - February 9, 2006
SHREWSBURY - Ermioni (Hazikoitsis) Moutoudis, 72, of Shrewsbury and formerly of Brockton, died Thursday, February 9, 2006 in the UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester after a brief illness.
Her husband, Ioannis D. Moutoudis died in 1985. She leaves her two sons, Dimitrios "Jim" Moutoudis and his wife Sheilah of Shrewsbury, with whom she lived and Evangelos Moutoudis and his wife Eleftheria "Ellie" of Southborough; her brother, George Hazikoitsis of Greece, and her three grandchildren, Ermine "Nonie", John and Demitra Moutoudis.
She was born in Gianni's, Greece, daughter of the late Evangelos ad Maria (Grekos) Hazikoitsis and moved to the United States in 1974. She lived in Brockton for 23 years before moving to Shrewsbury.
She worked as seamstress for many years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, February 10th from 5 - 8 PM in the Britton - Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. Her funeral will be held on Saturday from the funeral home with a funeral service at 11 AM in Sts. Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church, Corner of Cashman and Central Streets, Marlborough. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 311 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA 02472 or to the American Cancer Society, 350 Plantation St., Worcester, MA 01604.

Normand Leo Plante
July 27, 1931 - September 3, 2006
MILLBURY - Normand L. Plante, 75 of Millbury, died Saturday in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, 119 Belmont Street Worcester, after a short illness.
He is survived by his Wife Mary "Joanne" (Remillard) Plante, their 10 children; Wayne Plante, and his wife Tammy, of Sutton; Elizabeth McKenna, of Uxbridge; Diana Lavin, and her husband Steven, of Auburn; David Plante, of Riverside, RI; Andrew Plante, and his wife Karen; of Blackstone, Michelle Hashem and her husband, Michael, of Worcester; William Terrien, Jr., and his wife Michele, of Auburn; Cynthia LaRoche and her husband Barry, of Fitchburg; Stephen Terrien, and his wife Jill, of Leicester, Beth Chenevert, and her husband David, of Holden. Other members of his family include a brother Edmund Plante, of FL. A brother Constant Plante, formerly of Northbridge predeceased him.
He was born in Uxbridge, the son of the late Wilfrid and Doria (Letendre) Plante; he was educated in Uxbridge schools. He later graduated from Providence College.
A proud veteran, he served his country as a member of the U.S. Army in the Korean War.
Mr. Plante worked for 21 years as an accountant for the Whitinsville Water Company.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Mumford Council.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours 6 - 8 Thursday September 7, 2006 in the Britton - Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. His funeral will be held from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 AM in Saint Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford Street, Auburn. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
