John A. Belliveau, 80

FITCHBURG- John A. Belliveau, 80, of 210 Franklin St., a World War II veteran and a retired paper company worker, died Wednesday, March 27, in UMass Memorial Medical Center - Memorial Campus, Worcester, after a brief illness.
He leaves his wife of 56 years, Gilberte M. "Betty" (Charpentier) Belliveau; a brother, the Rev. Robert Belliveau, M.S., of Florida; three sisters, Alice Leger and Agnes Richard, both of Fitchburg, and Bertha Lortie of New Hampshire; nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, great-great-nephews and great-great-nieces. He was born in Fitchburg, son of Timothy and Alvina (Boudreau) Belliveau, and lived most of his life in Fitchburg. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Asia and the Pacific.
Mr. Belliveau worked 36 years at Crocker Burbank and Weyerhaeuser paper companies, retiring in 1982. He was a member, usher and Eucharistic minister of St. Joseph Church. He was a member of Joseph P. Keating Council 99 Knights of Columbus for 27 years and achieved the level of fourth degree in 1967. He was also a member of American Legion Post 429, Cleghorn.
The funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, in St. Joseph's Church, 49 Woodland St. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 1, in Louis M. Isabelle Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St. Memorial donations may be made to Joseph P. WEST BROOKFIELD- Ernest J. Berube Sr., 86, of 21 Ridge Road, died Monday, March 25, in UMass Memorial Medical Center - Memorial Campus, Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 62 years, Theresa L. (Paradis) Berube; two sons, Richard D. Berube of Grafton and Ernest J. Berube Jr. of Spencer; four daughters, Paulette D. Simonovitch of Spencer, Elaine J. Thornburg and Deborah J. Simmons, both of West Brookfield, and Janet C. Lizon of the Indian Orchard section of Springfield; a brother, Victor Berube of New Hampshire; three sisters, Sister Frances Berube of Canada, Theresa Comerford of Holden and Marie Merritt of New Jersey; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was born in Fitchburg, son of Luke T. and Diana (Dion) Berube.
Mr. Berube worked 18 years for Reed Rolled Thread & Dye Co., Holden, retiring in 1980. He was a member of West Brookfield Senior Citizens and Sacred Heart Church.
The funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, West Main Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour is 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, in Pillsbury Funeral Home, Old West Brookfield Road, Brookfield. Joseph J. Biernacki Sr.

WEBSTER- Joseph J. Biernacki Sr., 86, of 32 Arkwright Road, a World War II veteran, died Wednesday, March 27, in Webster Manor.
He leaves his wife of 55 years, Lottie B. (Surozenski) Biernacki; a son, Joseph J. Biernacki Jr. of Webster; a daughter, Linda M. French of Southbridge; a brother, Anthony Biernacki of Dudley; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was born in Webster, son of Peter and Agatha (Ziemba) Biernacki. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, and was shot down over Germany and taken as a prisoner of war.
Mr. Biernacki worked many years at the Cranston Print Works.
He was a member of St. Joseph Basilica and the Ex-POW organization.
The Liturgy of the Word service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 29, in Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. A calling period will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Friday, March 29, in the funeral home. PAXTON- George D. Boria, 75, of 19 Crowningshield Drive, a longtime business owner, died Saturday, March 23, in the Hospice Residence, Worcester, after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 50 years, Katherine L. (Budo) Boria of Paxton; three daughters, Carolyn A. and Joan M. Boria, both of Paxton, and Roberta E. Boria of Shrewsbury; a sister, Lillian Diliddo of Shrewsbury; and many nieces and a nephew. Two brothers, Peter Boria of Worcester and William Boria of Auburn, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Denis and Rafailla (Jarras) Boria. He was a Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Boria owned and operated Deerhill Dairy for more than 50 years, retring in 1993. He was a member of St. Mary's Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church and the Sons of St. Mary. He was also a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Montacute Lodge of Masons.
The funeral will be held Monday, March 25, from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home(www.royfuneral.com), 12 Hammond St. Worcester, with a service at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury St., Worcester. HUDSON- Isabelle (Fenton) Bourneuf, 85, of Hudson, a retired bookkeeper, died Sunday, March 24, in UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus.
Her husband, Paul F. Bourneuf, died in 1989. She leaves a son, Peter Bourneuf of Berlin; nieces and nephews. She was born in Lawrence, and attended schools in North Andover. She had lived in Hudson since 1959.
Mrs. Bourneuf was a retired bookkeeper, having worked for several financial institutions, including Hudson National Bank. She also worked for Marlboro Hospital and several local businesses. She enjoyed cooking, classical music, poetry, writing short stories and traveling to Maine.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, in Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St. Burial will be in Forestvale Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, in the funeral home.

WORCESTER -- Grace C. (Emmett) Bradley, 87, formerly of Crompton Street, died Tuesday, March 19, in Providence House, Millbury, after an illness.
Her husband, John J. Bradley, died in 1988. She leaves two daughters, Mary Ellen O'Connor of Dennis and Kathleen A. Lannon of Sutton; and four grandchildren. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Thomas and Mary (Halley) Emmett, and graduated from Commerce High School.
Mrs. Bradley was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

SOUTHBRIDGE- Edna M. (Bunnell) Brodeur, 85, of Lima, Ohio, formerly of Maple Terrace, died Friday, March 22, in Assumption Village, Lima.
Her husband, Ernest E. Brodeur, died in 1994. She leaves a daughter, Judith M. Huge of Appleton, Wis.; a sister, Ruth Nelson of Sarasota, Fla.; two grandchildren; and three nieces. She was born in Malden, daughter of Raymond and Hazel (Webber) Bunnell, and lived most of her life in Southbridge. She graduated from Malden High School.
Mrs. Brodeur was a former member of Central Baptist Church.
No local funeral service is planned. After cremation, burial will be at the family's convenience in Oak Ridge Cemetery. There are no local calling hours. Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., is directing arrangements.

AUBURN- Mildred B. (Croteau) Brule, 86, of 1 Skyline Drive, a homemaker, died Sunday, March 31, in Life Care Center of Auburn after an illness.
Her husband, Laurent R. Brule, predeceased her. She leaves a son, Robert N. Brule of Penrose Colo.; three daughters, Mary M. Anair of Winchendon, Rita C. Johnson of Lansdale, Pa., and Carol S. Luukko of Charlton; 13 grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; and three step-grandchildren. A daughter, Marie Ann Brule, and two sisters, Marjorie Anderson and Marion Swallow, predeceased her. She was born in Auburn, daughter of Wilfred and Malvina (LaPrade) Croteau. She graduated from Commerce High School, Worcester, and attended Becker Junior College.
Mrs. Brule was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Auburn Senior Citizens and Leicester Senior Citizens. She was a former member of the Worcester City Extension.
The funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 4, in St. Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. WEST BOYLSTON- Gladys L. (Rankin) Burke, 88, of 7 Westland Circle, died Tuesday, March 19, at home after an illness.
Her husband, Dennis Burke, died in 1973. She leaves two sons, Richard J. Burke of West Boylston and Arnold D. Burke of Scottville, Mich.; three daughters, Marilyn Trecartin of Groton, Barbara A. Carpenter of Shrewsbury and Ellen B. Daley of Manchester, Conn.; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. A son, Robert C. Burke of Framingham, died in 1965. A great-grandson died in 1990. She was born in Lynn, daughter of Harold and Ella (Maag) Rankin.
Mrs. Burke was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and a former member of its Women's Club; a member, secretary and treasurer of the Golden Age Bowling League in Auburn; and a member of the Women's Auxiliary of Harold N. Keith Post 204. She volunteered at Worcester County Extension Service.
The memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 22, in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 22, in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lynn. FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla.- Grace S. (Quatela) Camosse, 97, of Fort Myers Beach, formerly of Auburn, Mass., died Wednesday, March 27, in Cypress Cove, Fort Myers.
Her husband of 74 years, Henry Camosse, died in 1997. She leaves a son, Henry J. Camosse of Fort Myers, formerly of Auburn; a daughter, M. Kathryn "Muffy" Tomaiolo of Fort Myers; two brothers, Charles and Anthony Quatela, both of Worcester, Mass.; three sisters, Italia Gallo of Worcester, Raffiella "Rae" Johnson of Auburn and Isabelle Nolli of Shrewsbury, Mass.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in New York City, daughter of Louis and Maria (Pellegrini) Quatela, and lived many years in Auburn before moving to Fort Myers Beach in 1967.

CLINTON- Mildred W. (Green) Campbell, 68, of 257 East St., died Tuesday, March 26, in Emerson Hospital, Concord, after a long battle with cancer.
Her husband, Roy M. Campbell, died in 1994. She leaves two sons, Alonzo J. and Michael A. Cornelius, both of Clinton; a daughter, Carla M. Lussier of Clinton; two brothers, Paul and Bud Green, both of Kentucky; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A son, Roy M. Campbell Jr., died in 1977. A brother, Garnett Green, also predeceased her. She was born in Kentucky, daughter of Stanley and Margaret (Greenup) Green.
Mrs. Campbell worked at Ray-O-Vac Co., Zayre's department store and Injectronics before retiring.
The funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, March 29, in Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St. Burial will be at the family's convenience. WORCESTER -- Hippolito Carrasquillo, 93, of 108 Country Club Blvd., died Friday, March 29, in the Salisbury Nursing Home.
His wife, Encarnacion (Zayas) Carrasquillo, predeceased him. He leaves two sons, Carmello and Alejandrino Carrasquillo, both of Caguas, Puerto Rico; two daughters, Petra Zayas and Ramonita Zayas, both of Worcester; four brothers, Salvador, Lito, Sando and Ulysses Carrasquillo, all of Worcester; two sisters, Monica and Altagracia Carrasquillo, both of Caguas; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was born in Caguas, son of Manuel and Josefa Zayas Carrasquillo, and had lived in Worcester for nine months.
While in Puerto Rico, he was a farmer.
