Mrs. Cheryl Nielson Schilling

FRANKLINTON - Funeral services for Mrs. Cheryl Nielson Schilling, 41, a resident of the Mt. Pisgah community of Washington Parish, are scheduled for 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton. The Rev. Ed Jenkins, the Rev. Ed Griffin, the Rev. Denny Brumfield and the Rev. Luther Stanford will officiate.
Visitation was yesterday from 6-10 p.m. and continues after 8 a.m. today until time for the services.
Burial will follow in the Hayes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery
under the direction of Crain Funeral Home.
Mrs. Schilling died at 1 p.m. Thursday at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Otho Schilling Jr., Mt. Pisgah community; two sons, Brandon Schilling and Cole Schilling, both of Mt. Pisgah; her mother and father, Willie J. and Jean Roberts Nielson, Franklinton; two brothers, Russell Nielson and Bruce Nielson, Franklinton and her grandmother, Susie Nielson, Franklinton.
Mrs. Doris Yvonne Wayne

BOGALUSA - Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Yvonne Wayne, 78, a resident of Poplarville, Miss. are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Mitchell's Chapel Church of God Church at Crossroads, Miss., with the Rev. Gordan Roberts officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mitchell's Chapel Church of God Church cemetery, Brown-McGehee Funeral Home of Bogalusa directing.
Visitation was from 5 p.m. Saturday until the time of the services today at Mitchell's Chapel Church of God Church at Crossroads, Miss.
Mrs. Wayne died Jan. 28, 2000 at the Bogalusa Community Medical Center.
She resided at 399 Humphery Rd. in Poplarville, Miss.
Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie R. Salyers, Mounds, Okla.; a son, David E. Wayne, Crossroads, Miss.; a sister, Rosalie Richardson, Pascagoula, Miss.; a brother, Clarence Darrell Couley, Moss Point, Miss., seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Florence Rogers Dunaway
(Died Jan. 29, 2000)
BOGALUSA - The funeral service for Florence Rogers Dunaway, 80, a lifelong resident of Bogalusa is scheduled at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home, the Rev. Charles Purvis, a cousin, and the Rev Hugh Warren officiating.
Visitation was yesterday from 4:30 to 10 p.m. and continued today from 9 a.m. until time of the service.
Burial will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
Mrs. Dunaway died Saturday at 6 p.m. at Columbia Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, following a lengthy illness.
Employed as a nurse before her retirement, Mrs. Dunaway worked at Washington -St. Tammany Regional Medical Center, Bogalusa Medical Center, Desporte Clinic and also as a private duty nurse.
She was a member of both the Elizabeth Sullivan United Methodist Church in Bogalusa and its Evergreen Club.
Mrs. Dunaway will be sadly missed by her family and many members of the community, especially those belonging to the Italian-American club and those involved in her sewing circle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oveid Dunaway, Sr.; her parents, James J. and Margaret Elizabeth Rogers; three brothers, David Rogers, Sr., Frank J. Rogers and Elmo F. Rogers and a sister, Elsie Rogers George.
Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Janice and Scofield Berthelot, Long Beach, MS, Patricia and Anthony Daldegan, Marrero, Gloria Jean Knight, Judy and William Zwank, Chalmette; a son and daughter-in-law, Oveid and Lucy Dunaway, Jr., Baton Rouge; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, James and Dolly Rogers, Jr., Harold T. Rogers and Frank and Edna Rogers.
Louis Magee
(Died Dec. 18, 1999)
BOGALUSA - Funeral arrangements have been completed for Louis Magee, age 51, who died Saturday in the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was a resident of Nashville and a former resident of Bogalusa.
Visitation will be today at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa from 3-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Levias Temple Church of God in Christ, with Supt.
Charles Levias officiating. interment will follow in Bogalusa Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Rosetta Tate Magee of Nashville, TN; a daughter, Terri Magee of Angie; a son, Louis E. Magee Jr. of Bogalusa; a step-daughter, Dalisha Burns and a step-son, Patrick Tute both of Nashville; a devoted mother, Velma Brumfield Magee of Bogalusa; two sisters, De Ella Magee Bickham and Margie Magee Johnson both of Bogalusa; four brothers, Bernell (Mildred) Magee of Baton Rouge, Lenell (Bernette) Magee of Franklinton, John A.
Magee and Loranzo (Velma Taylor ) Magee, both of Bogalusa; grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and many other relatives and dear friends.
Gloria Faye Phelps

BOGALUSA - The funeral service for Gloria Faye Phelps, 33, is scheduled at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 4 to 10 p.m. today at the funeral home, continuing tomorrow at 8 a.m. until time of service.
Burial will follow in Nobles Cemetery
at Pine.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alton Phelps and a sister, Joyce Smith.
Survivors include her mother and step-father, Lois and Al Parker, Bogalusa; three brothers, Leroy Phelps, Alton (Joe) Phelps and Michael Parker, all of Bogalusa; five sisters, Diane Blackwell, Slidell, Marie Phelps and Jeanette Phelps, Picayune, MS, Sandy Stansbury, Bogalusa and Rose Starks, Varnado and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Irma Magee Robbins
(Died Feb. 22, 2000)
ENON - The funeral service for Irma Magee Robbins, 81, is scheduled at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Enon Baptist Church, the Rev. Dr. Joe Baugh, the Rev. Karl Tingle, the Rev. Greg Carroll and the Rev. Dr. Jerry Barlow officiating.
Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home and continues tomorrow after 9 until 12 noon. Visitation will continue at Enon Baptist Church after 12:30 p.m. until time of service.
Burial will follow in the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Robbins died yesterday at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton.
She was a retired teacher and a devoted pastor's wife, the widow of the Rev. Dr. A.W. Robbins and a member of Enon Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Wayne Robbins, Monroe, Dennis Robbins, Hahnville, Kent Robbins, Dickson, TN; a sister, Glenna Perry, Enon; and seven grandchildren.

BOGALUSA - The funeral service for Ruth H. Shaw, 71, is scheduled for 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. today until time of service. Burial will follow in Pounds cemetery.
Mrs. Shaw died Monday at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington.
She was a resident of 172 Bumble Bee Road in Bogalusa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. "Bill" Shaw.
Eunice Cooper

BOGALUSA - Eunice Cooper, age 85, a resident of Bogalusa, died yesterday in Rest Haven Living Center. She was a member of the Edgewood Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Dudley Cooper of Bogalusa; three grandchildren, Patricia Cooper, Jackie Cooper, Maria Galloway, Derinda and Toby Hughes; three great-grandchildren, Adam Hughes, Jennifer Hughes and Brittany Galloway.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Cooper; a daughter, Betty Cooper; and a sister, Ernestine Henley.
Visitation will be today at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5:30 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Curtis Epnett, the Rev.
Lochie Tynes and the Rev. Toby Hughes. interment will follow in Ponemah Cemetery.

Acworth, GA - Jackie A. Davis, a resident of Acworth, GA. died Monday.

She is survived by her husband, Terry A. Davis; two sons, Terry Davis Jr. and Justin Reed Davis; her mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Davis; two brothers-in-law, Ronnie Davis and Reggie Davis; a sister-in-law, Becky Crawford; several niece and nephews, and a number of aunts and uncles.
Margie Sarah Thomas Jarrell

BOGALUSA - Margie Sarah Thomas Jarrell, age 50, died yesterday at her home. She was a native and lifelong resident of Bogalusa.
She is survived by her mother, Esther Mae Garner Thomas of Franklinton; a son, Goodbee Gordon Jarrell; a grandson, Matthew Holmes of Bogalusa; a granddaughter, Jennifer Holmes of Bogalusa; three brothers, Glyn Ray Thomas of Franklinton, Randy Keith Thomas of Bogalusa and Charles Roy Thomas of Ash, NC; three sisters, Bobbie Jean Warren of Missouri, Daisy Marie Bennett of Tabor City, NC, Ola Virginia Thomas of Franklinton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a very special companion and friend, Dudley Holmes.
She was preceded in death by her father, Goodbee Gordon Thomas Jr; one brother, Goodbee Gordon Thomas III and two grandchildren, Areil and Jerilyn Jarrell.
Visitation will be tomorrow from 6-9 p.m. at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home, continuing on Friday after 8 a.m. The funeral services will be conductedin the chapel on Friday at 10 a.m., with the Rev. John Pounders officiating.
Wilda Pugh Herring

BOGALUSA - Wilda Pugh Herring, age 77, died yesterday in Washington /St. Tammany Regional Medical Center. A native of Washington Parish and resident of Rest Haven Living Center, she was a member of Berry's Creek United Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by four sons, Terry Herring of Franklinton, Charles Ray "Chubby" Herring of St.
Martinville, Michael Herring and Wayne Herring, both of Bogalusa; two daughters, Oneita Graham and Marian Watts, both of Bogalusa and a sister, Ruth Haag of Fort Smith, AR; 26 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank "Buck" Herring; her parents, Wiley Pugh and Artelia Mizell Pugh; three brothers, Ollie, Raybert and James Pugh, and four sisters, Louise Mizell, Alberta Reviere, Gladys Strange and Vora Parker.
Visitation will be today from 5-10 p.m. at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home, continuing tomorrow from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.

near Isabel.
Abner Carter 'A.C.' Wascom
(Died Dec. 22, 1999)
BOGALUSA - Abner Carter "A.C" Wascom, age 95, died yesterday in Baton Rouge General Hospital. He was retired from the Bogalusa School System as a bus operator. Prior to this, he was employed with the Bogalusa City Bus Lines from its beginning to its closure. He was an active member of the Superior Avenue Baptist Church and the Fisher of Men's Sunday School class since 1949, until the time he became home-bound.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce Musgrove Wascom; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary M. and Nelda Wascom of Leesville and Rodney and Cheryl Wascom of Bogalusa; four daughters and a son-in-law, Josie Miller of Baker, Betty Cline of Baton Rouge, Kim and Rick McCullough of Conway, AR and Ladonna Sumrall of Covington; 11 grandsons, Donald "Rip" Miller of Baton Rouge, STG2(SW) Chad Wascom, U.S. Navy, Shane Wascom of Leesville, Jerod Wascom of Bogalusa, Jason and Derek Sumrall of Covington, Justin, Sean and Lance McCullough of Conway, AR, Patrick Cline of Baton Rouge, Alvin Edgens of Foley, AL; five granddaughters, Gloria Neames of McComb, Michelle Hathaway of Baton Rouge and Brooke Wascom of Bogalusa; three great-granddaughters, four great-grandsons and a great-great granddaughter; a sister, Bill W. Watkins and a special brother-in-law, J.P. Watkins of Baton Rouge; two very special sisters-in-law, Mary Martino of Mandeville and Easter May Wascom of Mt. Hermon; a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, Edgar and Rosa Poole Wascom; two brothers, Armett and Alton "Shorty: Wascom; five sisters, Zoe Brown, Bevie Miller, Hester Miller, Stella Smith and Athalee Dixon.
Visitation will be at the Poole Ritchie Funeral Home today from 5-9 p.m., continuing tomorrow at 8 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Daniel Hall, pastor, the Rev. Charles Purvis, associate pastor and the Rev. Sollie Smith, former pastor of 16 years, officiating. interment will be in the Ponemah Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chad, Shane and Jerod Wascom, Jason and Derek Sumrall and Justin McCullough. Honorary pallbearers will be the remaining grandsons and nephews.
