Imogene “Jean” Foreman
CHURCH POINT –– Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, at 2 p.m. in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church here, with Father Nicky Trahan officiating, for Imogene “Jean” Foreman, 71, of Church Point, who died Wednesday, Jan. 7, at 5 a.m. in her Church Point home.
A rosary was prayed Tuesday, Jan. 7, at the funeral home.
Burial was in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Church Point.
She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Kay and Brent Doucet and Cynthia and Stephen Thibodeaux, all of Church Point; three sisters, Mattie Prejean, Rayne and Tiny Faul and Mary Venable, both of Church Point; three brothers, Edmond Thibodeaux, Jr., Opelousas, Ebenezer Thibodeaux, Church Point; and Leslie Thibodeaux, Jennings; four grandchildren, Drifter Venable, Justin Venable, Tasi Carriere and J.C. Carriere; and six great-grandchildren.
Ms. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond, Sr. and Agnes Thibodeaux; her husband, Alex Foreman; two brothers, Austin and Isaac Thibodeaux; and one great-granddaughter, Tory Venable.
Duhon Funeral Home of Church Point was in charge of the arrangements.

Marjorie (Coonie) Bernard
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at a Mass of Christian Burial in Gossen Funeral Home Chapel for Marjorie “Coonie” Bernard, 78, who died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
The Rev. Bill Ruskoski, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, was the celebrant of the Funeral Mass and conducted the service.
A rosary wsa recited at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery No. 2’s Mausoleum.
Survivors include her two sisters, Florence “Sis” Carr, Rayne, and Helena Bertrand, Metairie, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ovide Anthony and Marie Louise LaCroix Bernard.
Coonie was the first woman to serve on the Rayne City Council. She retired from Entex after 32 years, and previously worked at Mervin Kahn for 12 years.
Arrangements were entrusted to Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne.
Kenneth Wade Credeur, Sr.
Funeral services were held at a 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Kenneth W. Credeur, Sr., 51, who died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003,in Lafayette.
interment was in St. Joseph #2 Cemetery.
The Rev. Bill Ruskoski, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, was the celebrant of the funeral Mass and conducted the services.
Survivors include his wife, Marrella "Marcy" Moreau Credeur, of Lafayette; one daughter, Kristie Credeur, of Crowley; three sons, Kenneth Wade Credeur, Jr., and wife Jayne of Mire, Kirt Credeur, of Rayne, Kyle Credeur, of Branch; one step-daughter, Stacey Deiss, of Beaumont, Texas ; seven grandchildren; parents, Cleveland P. and Ruby D. Credeur, of Rayne; four sisters, Karen Hebert, of Rayne, Sharon Bruce, of Vatican, Brenda Smith, of Crowley, Tammy Goutreaux, of Esterwood.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Renee' Credeur.
Mr. Credeur was employed by Ensco Drilling Co. He was a avid hunter.
A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday in Gossen Funeral Home.
Arrangement were entrusted to Gossen Funeral Home Inc. of Rayne.

Mary Helen McCoy
ESTHERWOOD –– Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley, with Father Joseph Greenwell officiating, for Mary Helen McCoy, 62, of Estherwood, who died at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2002, at the residence of her daughter in Sebring, Florida.
A rosary was recited Wednesday.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Stacy, Sebring, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Angelle Salvaggio and Michelle Mathis, both of New Orleans; one stepson, Frank Salvaggio, New Orleans; five grandchildren; and one sister, Lois Castille, Crowley.
Ms. McCoy was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Clemons; her parents, Joseph and Hilda McCoy; and one brother, Kenneth M cCoy.

Percy Boutte
Funeral services for Percy Boutte, 48, who died Dec. 28, 2002, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette were held Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. in Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church here, with Father Richard Wagner, S.S.J.
Burial was in Our Mother of Mercy Cemetery.
Mr. Boutte is survived by his wife, Emily Boutte, Rayne; three sons, Terrance Boutte, Rayne, Christopher Mouton, of Korea, and Johnathan Mouton, of Dallas, Texas ; one daughter, Tiffany Mouton, of Rayne; his parents, Wilbert Boutte of Beaumont, Texas , and Helen Eaglin Boutte, of Rayne; two brothers, Dalton Boutte, of Crowley, and Nelson Eaglin of Rayne; three sisters, Wilda Winbush, of Rayne, Ethel Eaglin of Rayne, and Brenda Bias, of Rayne; and thirteen grandchildren; as well as other family and friends.
Mr. Boutte was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Hawkins.
Mr. Boutte was a C.V.L. worker for 10 years, and worked at Southern Security for 10 years.
Pallbearers were Troy Boutte, Ambrose Foreman, Joseph Goodwin, Horace Guidry, Melvin Lawrence, Harvey Hawkins, Terry Nickson, James Price, Luke Malbrough, Carroll Stelly and Jimmy Stelly.
Honorary pallbearers were Nelson Bias, Curley Boutte, Dalton Boutte, Hubert Boutte, Michael Price, Sr., Howard Dixon, Christopher D. Mouton, Joseph Price, Jr., Joseph Price, Sr., and Rayne Civil Defense.
Kinchen Funeral Home of Lafayette was in charge of arragnements.

Kearney Hanks, Jr.
CROWLEY –– Funeral services were held at 3 p.m.Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Joseph Greenwell officiating, for Kearney Hanks, Jr., 54, who died at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003, at his Crowley residence.
A rosary was recited Thursday at 7 p.m.
Burial was in the North Hanks Cemetery in Crowley.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Hanks, Crowley; five daughters, Kim Fontenot and Valarie Davy, both of Iota, Brandy Hanks, Betty Ann Mire and Laura Jean Hanks, all of Crowley; two sons, Kearney Shane Hanks, Rayne, and Bille Joe Hanks, Crowley; his mother, Inest Hanks, Crowley; two brothers, Steve Hanks and Harry Hanks, both of Crowley; four sisters, Jeanell Istre, Morse, Sheila Hanks, Kinder, and Wendy Hanks and Angel Hanks, both of Crowley; and 18 grandchildren.
Mr. Hanks was preceded in death by his father Kearney Hanks, Sr.

Olida Trahan
CROWLEY –– Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church here, with Father Joseph Greenwell officiating, for Olida Trahan, 59, of Crowley, who died at 8:55 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2003 in the Eunice Community Medical Center.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel.
She is survived by three sons and their spouses, David and Roxanne Trahan, Milton, and Scotty and Nancy Trahan and Timothy and Kelly Trahan, all of Crowely; two daughters and their spouses, Linda and James Abshire and Cynthia and Kenneth Laughlin, all of Crowley; three stepsons and their spouses, Charles and Debbie Trahan, Randall and Tamica Trahan and Greg Bertrand, all of Crowley; two stepdaughters, Darallen and Melvin Welch, and Brenda and Arthur Romero, all of Crowley; one brother, Isaac Deaville, Jr., Livingston, Texas ; five sisters, Mary Lou Jordan, Houston, Texas , Julie Mae Murphy, Hennietta Thibodeaux, Velva Dean Stanford and Sylvia Adkins, all of Eunice; 25 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Angellas (Bellice) Trahan; one grandchild and one great-grandchild; parents, Julia and Isaac Deaville; and two brothers, Lee Earl and Henry Deaville.
Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Offord Richard
MIRE –– Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, at the Church of the Assumption in Mire for Mrs.Offord Richard, the former Anna Thibodeaux. Mrs. Richard died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, after a long, courageous battle with multiple health problems.
She was a lifelong resident of Mire and was the daughter of the late Adiole Thibodeaux and the late Eve Credeur.
Mrs. Richard is survived by her husband, Offord Richard of Mire; five daughters, Sandra Lejeune and husband Felton of Branch, Jackie Fruge and husband Gary of Branch, Cheryl Roy and husband of Oklahoma city, Okla., Jennifer White and husband Jimmy of New Iberia, and Tammy Guidroz of Branch; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two siters, Morgice Richard of Mire and Lucy Broussard and husband Ronald of Lafayette; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son, Troy Richard; one daughter, Pamela Richard; her mother and father; a sister, Audrey Guidry Bourque; and brother Adiole Thibodeaux, Jr.
Mrs. Richard was housekeeping supervisor and purchasing agent for Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point for 13 years, followed by a number of years in that role with Evangeline Oaks Guest Home in Carencro. She was also a childcare provider for many families.
Guidry Funeral Home of Church Point was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Lloyd Louis Dailey
EGAN –– Funeral service were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley, with Father David Broussard officiating, for Lloyd Louis Dailey, 71, of Egan, who died Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at 6:45 a.m. in Landmark Nursing Home in Crowley.
A rosary was recited at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Burial was in the Acadia Resthaven Mausoleum in Crowley.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Dailey, Egan; five sons and their spouses, Donald Dailey, Egan, Russell J. and Karen Rome Dailey, Scott, Wayne and Nancy Dailey and Neil and Jennifer Richey Dailey, all of Crowley, and Clayton and Ellen B. Dailey, Rayne; two daughters and their spouses, Charmaine and Johnny LeMaire, Crowley, and Catherine and Craig Gilbert, Alvin, Texas ; three brothers, Albert Dailey, Kaplan, Preston Dailey, Denham Springs, and Maurcie Dailey, Kentwood; two sisters, Anna Lou Cormier and Theresa David, both of Kaplan; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Dailey wsa the founder of Dailey’s Fence Company, Trails End Campground and Dailey’s Smoke Barn.
He was the past Grand Knight of Msgr.Olan A. Broussard Council #6959 of Egan. He also served as the Past Faithful Perser for the Fourth Degree George Mollo Assembly. He served as president of the Egan Volunteer Fire Department. He wsa also a field inspector, purchasing agent and maintenance engineer for Abram Kaplan Memorial Hospital from 1958 to 1969.
Mr. Dailey was preceded in death by his parents, Dallas and Elvina Dailey; and one sister, Shirley Baudoin.
