Survived by a son, Harold Wray, Jeanerette; a daughter, Faye Schott, Simmesport; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Wray; and father and mother, Henry Eugene and Mary Alice Rogers. Pallbearers will be Brad Moreau, David Moreau, Rickey Moreau, Chuck Wray, Joey Wray, Randy Wray and Kerry Moreau.
ZERINGUE, KENNETH JOHN "ZIGGY"
An industrial construction painter and a resident of Donaldsonville, he died at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, in Donaldsonville. He was 39. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday. Visiting at St. James Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Saturday, celebrated by the Rev. Louis Oubre. Entombment in church mausoleum. Survived by his wife, Victoria Hendrix Zeringue, Donaldsonville; father and mother, J. Victorin and Mary Ann Ordoyne Zeringue, St. James; a stepdaughter, Tanya Williams; two stepsons, Johnny Hendrix and Tommy Williams; five brothers, Brian Zeringue, Prairieville, Dennis Zeringue, Vacherie, Anthony Zeringue, River Ridge, and Gregory and Matthew Zeringue, both of St. James; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers will be his brothers and a stepson. He played on the St. James High School football championship team of 1979.
BAILEY, JR. JAMES G.
A retired educator, principal, school superintendent and lieutenant colonel with the Louisiana Army National Guard, he died at 11:50 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, at his residence in Franklinton. He was 78 and a native of Monroe. He began his career as a band director at Franklinton High School, where he later served as principal, and lastly as superintendent of Washington Parish schools for 13 years. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and later served as battalion commander of the 205th Engineering Battalion based in the Washington and St. Tammany area. He served as a board member and chairman of the board of Washington Parish Hospital District 1 (Riverside Medical Center) in Franklinton for many years. He was a member and deacon of Franklinton First Baptist Church, where he served as chairman of the deacons on several occasions. After retirement, he served for several years as manager of the Franklinton Country Club. Visitation at Franklinton First Baptist Church from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday. Religious services at the church at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Dr. Jerry Barlow and the Rev. Karl Tingle officiating. Burial with full military rites in Ellis Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Audrey Adcock Bailey; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kenneth M. and Cathryn Bailey of Monticello, Miss., and James. G. "Jay" Bailey III of Lafayette, Ind.; a daughter, Beverly E. Bailey of Franklinton; two grandchildren, Laura and husband Kirk Bass and Ken Bailey Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Kathleen and Seth Bass. A retired train master for Illinois Central Railroad Co. and a resident of Kentwood, he died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, as a result of an automobile accident in Kentwood. He was 73 and a native of Frost.
