LANGFORD, KATHRYN ELISABETH "KELLI"
Died at her home Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001. She was 31 and a native and resident of Baton Rouge. She was a handbag designer and a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School. She was a U.S. Army veteran. Survived by her parents, Richard and Margaret Langford; two sisters, Ruth Langford, New Orleans, and Holly Langford, Pagoosa Springs, Colo.; and her dog, Moonie. She was a tissue and organ donor. Departed this life on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at 10:33 p.m. at his residence in Port Hudson after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 17, 1946, in Ethel, to Elmore and Mary Lewis. He was a former longtime employee of Cooperheat M.Q.S. in Gonzales. Viewing at Desselle's Funeral Home, 263 Eddie Robinson Sr. Drive, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Religious services at Beach Grove Baptist Church, La. 68, Jackson , at 7 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Rev. John Bowman, pastor. Dismissal at 10 a.m. Monday. Burial in church cemetery. Survived by his wife, Francis Clark Lewis; three sons, James Lewis and wife Annie, Baton Rouge, Dynell W. Lewis, both of Jackson , and Gathia Pierre and husband Anthony, Ethel; a stepsister, Joyce Butler and husband Kevin, Baton Rouge; eight brothers, Thomas Sr. and wife Rosie of Jackson , Elmore and wife Lillie of Baton Rouge, John B. of Ethel, Aurthr J of Baton Rouge, Bobby R. of Ethel, Nathaniel of Jackson , Moses and wife Sharon of Slaughter, and Roosevelt of Tavares, Fla.; three stepbrothers, Maravin and Gregory Rogers, both of Baton Rouge, and Joseph Rogers of Jackson ; 14 grandchildren, including Cerria, Cholé and Candice Thomas, whom he reared; three aunts, Juanita Carter, Mattie Jacobs and Mary Carter; four uncles, Johnny B. and wife Louvilla, James and wife Gladys, John Lewis and Joseph Lewis; seven sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law; and a godchild, Calvin Clark. Preceded in death by his mother, Mary F. Lewis; a sister, Aramena Lewis; and a nephew, Shedrick Lewis.

A loving mother and grandmother, she Passed away at 5:45 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at her home in Satsuma. She was a retired employee of the Louisiana Department of Insurance, with 25 years of service. She was 63 and a native of Livingston. Survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Billy Benton, Satsuma, Barbara McCray Elberling, and Janice and James David, all of Livingston; three sons, Richard McCray, The Woodlands, Texas , John McCray, Livingston, and Roger McCray, Satsuma; two sisters, Helen Barber and Hazel Lott, both of Livingston; two brothers, Luther Lott Jr., Satsuma, and Ernest Lott, Livingston; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Luther Lott Sr. and Mabel Lambert Lott; grandparents and a great-grandchild. Cooper, Las Vegas, and Ruth Ann "Judy" Smith, Manford, Okla.; three sisters, Carolyn Cuddy, Milton, Fla., and Martha Jane Hammack and Mary Jeanette Hughes, both of Zachary; a brother, Thomas G. "Bud" McDavid, Gainesville, Fla.; grandchildren, Dana Marie Estill, California, Samantha Jeannette Palermo, San José, Calif., Robert Wayne "Bobby" Cooper II, Las Vegas, Brian Wayne Smith, Manford, Okla., and Stephen Eugene Smith, Tulsa, Okla.; and great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Ashley Palermo, San José, and Austin Bailey Smith, Tulsa; and Ruth Jones Garner, Zachary, the last surviving aunt of the family. A retired construction industry superintendent and a resident of Zachary, he died at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at his residence. He was 85 and a native of Alexandria, Ind. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Kenneth Laird. interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife, Doris Daigre Milburn; a daughter and son-in-law, Terry M. and John DeMarche; a son, Larry Milburn; two brothers, Morrie and Ray Milburn; and three grandchildren, Mark and Craig DeMarche and Shelley Riles. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, with a great sense of humor.
