A former employee of Dillard's and a resident and native of Baton Rouge, she died at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2002, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 96. Visiting at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church from 10 a.m. Monday until religious services at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Donald Blanchard. interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by three nieces, June Cashio and husband Carlos, Doris Noto and husband Charles and Pete Buhler and husband Carol, all of Baton Rouge; two nephews, George Guido and wife Margaret and T.J. A retired helicopter pilot for Chevron, he died of cancer at 6:45 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2002, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. He was 65 and a native of New Orleans, and resided for many years in Houma and Slidell before moving to Baton Rouge last year. He was the father of James. J. Hautot Jr. of Lafayette, Marc A. Hautot of Picayune, Miss., and Suzanne Hautot Marquette of Baton Rouge; son of Hilda Durel Hautot and the late Louis Henry Hautot Jr.; brother of Judith Hautot Nunenmacher and the late Henry L. Hautot; and grandfather of Alexander, Elizabeth, Claire and Paul Hautot and Lindsay and Michael Marquette. He was 82 and a native of Wil-son. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a former re-serve deputy with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Department, a retired barber and a business proprietor for many years. He actively contributed to his church and numerous community organizations, including his ministry of providing transportation for nursing home residents to church services and community programs for senior citizens.

PILMAN, SR. JAMES V.
A retired professional engineer and a resident of Homewood, Ala., he died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999. He was 82. He served in World War II and was honorably discharged on Nov. 13, 1945, from the 901st Air Engineering Squadron of the 9th Army Air Force as a technical sergeant. Visiting at Ridout's Valley Chapel, Homewood, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church at 1 p.m. Saturday. Burial in Ridout's Southern Heritage, Pelham, Ala. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Frances Phillips Pilman, a native of Baton Rouge; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sue and Jim Pritchard, Carol and John Moore and Cathie Pilman; four sons and two daughters-in-law, James, John and Karen, Mike and Monica, and Paul Pilman; 10 grandchildren, Shannon Presley, Beth, Brian and Johnny Moore, Chris, Mary, Charles, Michael, Sue and Ann Pilman; a great-grandson, Cain Presley; three nephews and a niece. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Homewood, since 1962. He was a graduate of LSU.
