Survived by a daughter, Hazel Bailey, Philadelphia; two sons, Larry Sr. and wife Brenda Bailey, Los Angeles, and the Rev. Dr. Henry James "Coach" Bailey Jr., Gonzales; a sister, Penella Jenkins, New Orleans; 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three godchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, including Promise Bailey Jr. of Gonzales, and friends, including Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Lewis and family. Preceded in death by parents, Laura and Willie Howard; two daughters, Mary Ann Bailey in 1953 and Violet B. Sheldon in 1967; son, Willie Bailey Sr. in 1982; husband, Henry James Bailey Sr. in 1999; daughter-in-law, Rosemary Bailey in 2002; and son, Woodrow Bailey Sr. in 2003.

BERCEGEAY SR., FELTUS JOSEPH "BLUE"
Retired from Exxon Co. USA and automobile sales at Daigle Pontiac, he died at 11:05 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, at his residence in Gonzales. He was 80 and a native of Geismar. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, 7th Armored Division, having served in the Battle of the Bulge. interment in United Faithful Methodist Church Cemetery, St. Amant. Survived by two sons, Feltus Joseph Bercegeay Jr. and wife Beverly and Ronald K. Bercegeay and wife Charlene; four grandchildren, Jennifer Louvella Bercegeay, Wendell Paul Bercegeay, Michael Dean Bercegeay and Dawn Bercegeay Sholmire; and four great-grandchildren, Jadah Sholmire, Callie Sholmire, Blaise Bercegeay and Nancy Bercegeay. Preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Louvella Singletary Bercegeay; second wife, Elsie Parker Bercegeay; parents, George J. Bercegeay and Rena Eliser Bercegeay; a sister, Gadys Bercegeay Hebert; and daughter-in-law, Nancy Babin Bercegeay. Pallbearers were Wendell Bercegeay, Michael Bercegeay, Brian Sholmire, Raliegh Hebert, Duane Singletary and Don Singletary.

BONACCORSO, LUCILLE LOISEL "SUE"
A longtime resident of Hammond and a native of New Orleans, she died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was 88. interment in Greenlawn Cemetery. Survived by three daughters, Susan Balisteri and Kathleen Sanders, both of Hammond, and Cecilla Brown, St. Amant; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a sister, Rhea Spencer, New York. Preceded in death by her husband, Martin J. Bonaccorso; parents, Peter and Augustine Stultz Loisel; an infant son; grandson, Russell Eugene Sanders Jr.; brother, Peter D. Loisel Jr.; and a sister, Irma Seibert. She was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of the Americas and a past treasurer of Tangipahoa Ceramic Club.

CAVALIER, MANELA MARIE
A devoted homemaker and resident of Pierre Part, she died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center. She was 69 and a native of Brusly St. Martin. interment in St. Jules Catholic Cemetery, Brusly St. Martin. Survived by two daughters, Patricia and husband Benson Blanchard, Pierre Part, and Theresa and husband Daniel LaComb, Labadieville; five sons and four daughters-in-law, Jerry and Melanie Cedotal, Napoleonville, Wilson and Dorothy Cavalier, Donaldsonville, Russell and Donna Cavalier, Belle Rose, Mike Cavalier, Belle Rose, and Ivy and Debra Cavalier, Paincourtville; three sisters, Angela Landry, Pierre Part, Mathilda Metrejean, Grand Bayou, and Lydia Meche, Vinton; five brothers, Frank Martin, Pierre Part, Albert Alborado, Pierre Part, Isley Alborado, Grand Bayou, Elwood Alborado, Brusly St. Martin, and Joseph Martin, Paincourtville; 28 precious grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Rene Cavalier; a son, Wilbert Cavalier; her parents, Murphy and Faustine Sanchez; and a brother, Woodrow Alborado.

DIMM, ROY JOHN
Co-owner of Dimm's Bakery and a resident of Donald-sonville, he died at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, in Donaldsonville. He was 61 and a native of New Orleans. interment in Ascension Catholic Cemetery, Donaldsonville. Survived by his wife, Rebecca Landry Dimm, Donaldsonville; a daughter and son-in-law, Shelly and Travis Cedotal, Donaldsonville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Melvin "Shooter" and Rachelle Dimm, Prairieville, and Jonathan Dimm, Donaldsonville; a sister, Sharon Dimm, Donaldsonville; two brothers, Ronald Dimm Sr., Plaquemine, and Robert Dimm Sr., Donaldsonville; and three grandchildren, Chase and Carter Dimm and Alex Cedotal. Preceded in death by his parents, F.W. Dimm and Marianne Brunis Dimm Chifici; two sons, Randy and Roy Dimm Jr.; and a sister and brother, Roberta and Robert Dimm. He was a graduate of Berean Bible School and a children's church pastor.

JOHNSON, EVELYN WILSON
A resident of Denham Springs, she died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004. She was 84 and a native of Purvis, Miss. interment in Magnolia Memorial Gardens, Hattiesburg, Miss. Survived by two daughters, Rita J. Johnson , Summit, Miss., and Ellen David, Denham Springs; two sons, Phillip Johnson and wife Audrey, Prairieville, and Kenneth Johnson , Alexandria; a sister, Thelma Amacker, Hattiesburg; two brothers, Everette "Pete" Wilson, Purvis, and Walter Frank Wilson, Gulfport, Miss.; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Ausbon L. Johnson ; and a son, Richard Dale Johnson . Pallbearers were grandsons, Derek and Jeffrey David, Wade Johnson , J.Y. Johnson Jr., Barry Andre and Carl Badeaux. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening.

FALCON, DOYCE ANN RIVERE
A loving mother, devoted wife and homemaker, she died and was entrusted to God's care Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, in Donaldsonville. She was 84, a resident of the D'ville House and a lifelong resident of Donaldsonville. She worked as a cook for Ascension Catholic School, for a time under the direction of Yvonne Babin Self in the mid-60s. interment in the Ascension Catholic Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Virgie Guillot Landry and L.B. Landry, White Castle, and Janice Falcon and companion Curt Trepagnier, Donaldsonville; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Susan Gautreaux Falcon, Brusly; three sisters, Marie and husband Albert Landry and Anna Mae Smith, both of Donaldsonville, and Milda Mistretta and husband Tom of Baton Rouge; a brother, Lynn Rivere and wife Elaine of Jayess, Miss.; two sisters-in-law, Marietta Falcon LeBoeuf and Marie Falcon Hurry, both of Donaldsonville; five precious grandsons, Linwood Landry Jr. and wife Jeanette and Patrick Landry and fiancee Shari Challais, all of Plaquemine, Robert Landry and wife Dawn Cataldo, White Castle, Brian Falcon, Brusly, and Jordy Falcon, Baton Rouge; two precious granddaughters, Dianna Landry Vaughn and husband Scotty and Jackie Landry Martinez and husband C.J., all of White Castle; four great-grandsons, four great-granddaughters, two great-great-granddaughters and a great-great-grandson. Preceded in death by her first husband, Claude J. Guillot; parents, Camille and Rita Rivere; three brothers, Lennet, Duffy and Ernest Rivere; and her loving husband, Gus Falcon. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Pallbearers were Linwood Landry, Patrick Landry, Robert Landry, Brian Falcon, Jordy Falcon and Devlyn Martinez.

GRISCOM, DIANE MARIE MUSSO
An employee with the state of Louisiana Office of the Secretary of State for over 30 years, Diane Marie Musso Griscom died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center at the age of 55. She was a native of Baton Rouge, a resident of St. Amant and former longtime resident of Baton Rouge. interment in Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery in St. Amant. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, James Griscom of St. Amant; mother, Lorena Musso David of Baton Rouge; son and daughter-in-law, Jacob B. Griscom and Kitty Lynn of St. Amant; brother and sister-in-law, Frank J. Musso and Patricia of Lafayette; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by father, Frank J. Musso; Sr.; her "daddy," Julian J. David; and sister, Sharon Ann Musso Price. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers were Keith Lamana, Tommy Gibson, Joe Territo, Mariano Musso, Jacob Griscom, Nicholas Ashy, Jack Harrell, Mike Vicknair, Bert Griscom, George Donaldson, John Landry, Darryl Bouillion, Anthony Musso, John Lamana, Bill Wilhelm, R.J. LeBlanc , George Ashy and Wayne O'Banion. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church of St. Amant and a former member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Her special love was cooking and entertaining for her family and friends. It was her true joy in life.

HARRIS, JAMIE
A resident of Pierre Part, he was born in Baton Rouge on March 21, 1973. He was 31. interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survived by his parents, Dean E. and Ann S. Harris, Pierre Part; a sister and brother-in-law, Mindy and Ted Delatte, St. Amant; a nephew, Austin Harris, Pierre Part; maternal grandmother, Melba Ann Speeg, Baton Rouge; and paternal grandmother, Barbara Harris, Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Speeg; paternal grandparents, Wade and Grace "Puddin" Harris. Pallbearers were Shane Wilkinson, David Beaubouef, John "Boodie" Chaney, Lance Kennedy, Deron Felps and Tracy Hebert. Honorary pallbearers were Craig Freeman and Mike Speeg.

HENO, MARY LEE ATKINSON
Mary Lee Heno Passed away at her residence in Gonzales at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004. She was 62. She is survived by her husband, James P. Heno Jr.; her son, James P. Heno III and his wife, Christy, and their two children, Madison and Colby; and her daughter, Jennifer Heno Marsh and her husband, Mason. Also survived by her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Heno.

JINES, ELLENA LOVETT
Died at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at 3:30 a.m. She was 96 and born in Indian Mound on April 6, 1908. She was a former resident of Baton Rouge and New Roads and a resident of Zachary, living at Oakwood Village Assisted Living, Zachary. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park, Baton Rouge. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph W. Jines, having celebrated 55 years of marriage before his death in 1981. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Blanche and Dr. Billy Bryan of Columbia, S.C.; two sons and daughters-in-law, S.V. and Dorothy Thompson Jines of Gonzales and Milton and Sunee Bjorkman Jines of San Mateo, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Ethel O'Brien Duhe of Baton Rouge; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, especially her loving and caring Dorothy Henderson Armand and Wanda Henderson, both of Zachary, and Greta Henderson of Baton Rouge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Jines; parents, Felix and Leda Lovett; and a sister, Edith Lovett Henderson. Pallbearers were James Bryan, Thomas Bryan, David Armand, Douglas Jines, Rennick Brown, Thomas Howard Henderson II and James Bryan Henderson. Honorary pallbearer was Willis Armand. She was an active member of Zachary United Methodist Church and a longtime member of Eunice Chapter 14, Order of the Eastern Star. She was honored in 1985 with Outstanding Citizen of the city of Zachary by the Zachary Rotary. She also volunteered with the Council on Aging.

KEOWN, GREGORY DALE "GREG"
An industrial painter and a resident of Gonzales, he died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, as the result of an automobile accident in St. Amant. He was 45 and a native of Owensboro, Ky. interment in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Prairieville,. Survived by his mother, Faye Simmons Keown, Gonzales; a daughter, Ashley Nicole Keown, Gonzales; a sister, Kimberly Keown McCarta, Prairieville; a brother, Steven Keown, Gonzales; five nieces and nephews; and special friend, C.C. Edmonds, Indianapolis. Preceded in death by his father, Truman Keown. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Prairieville.

MILLER, JIMMIE "FREEZE"
A resident of Prairieville, he died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2004, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Gonzales. He was 84 and a native of Geismar. interment in Mount Gillion Baptist Church Cemetery, Prairieville. Survived by his wife, Mary Darville Miller; three daughters, Cathy Washington Sullivan, Dianne Washington Payton and Alma Lynn Washington Pinell; a daughter-in-law, Terry Duplush Washington ; a son, Wallace Washington Jr.; four sons-in-law, Henry Sullivan Jr., Chester Payton Jr., Tony Pinell and Calvin Stephens Sr.; a sister, Erma Miller Morris; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, including Anthony Miller Sr., other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Izeal and Bertha Johnson Miller; two brothers, Dave and Edward Miller; a sister, Lottie Miller Thompson; and a daughter, Peggy Burch Stephens.

MITCHELL, PAULINE JULIEN
A homemaker and lifelong resident of Modeste, she died at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2004, at Prevost Memorial Hospital in Donaldsonville. She was 86. interment in St. Philip Baptist Church Cemetery, Modeste. Survived by a daughter, Donna Marie White of Modeste; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Joseph and Linda Mitchell of Baton Rouge, Dale Mitchell and Eldrige Mitchell, both of Modeste, and Jacob Jr. and Marjorie Mitchell and Andrew and Joyce Mitchell, all of New York City; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Lemar and Amelia Julien Mitchell; her husband, Jacob Mitchell Sr.; two sisters, Mary Jane Wilkerson and Celina White ; and two brothers, Leo and Melvin Julien.

A resident of St. Amant, he went to be with the Lord at 10:08 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, in Baton Rouge. He was 69 and a native of Baton Rouge. interment in Prairieville Community Cemetery. Survived by wife, Queen Nichols Parker, St. Amant; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Mark J. Davis and Becky and David Dupuy, all of Greenwell Springs; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Phillip R. Parker and Kevin and Tessie Parker, all of St. Amant; three sisters, Annie Ruth Dedon and Lillian Shaffett, both of Baton Rouge, and Gaynell Gibson, Greenwell Springs; a brother, Norman Ray Parker, Walker; and 11 grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Phillip and Eloise Harrell Parker; a brother, Lionel Parker; and a granddaughter, Lyndsey Noel Davis. Pallbearers were Nicholas and Nathan Dupuy, Phillip and Preston Parker, Keith Sanchez Jr. and Burt Shaffett.
