Funeral services for Mrs. Mary BatesTucker, age 83, will be held Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM in Central Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Everett officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will begin Sunday at 1:00 PM at Central Baptist Church until time of service.

Mrs. Tucker was born December 31, 1927 in Gloster, MS to David and Lilla Seale Bates and passed away Friday, December 9, 2011 in Bossier City, LA. She was a resident of Springhill since 1953, a faithful member of Central Baptist Church and a Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Tucker was a graduate of Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, AR and a retired school teacher having taught in Taylor, AR and Plain Dealing, LA.

She is survived by her husband of 62, years, P.O. Tucker of Springhill, LA; sons, David Tucker of Springhill, LA, Freddie Tucker of Orange, TX; grandson, Jeremy Tucker and sisters, Maudie Bates of Shreveport, LA and Jean Castle of Baton Rouge, LA.

Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her parents and son, Mike Seale Tucker.

Deacons of Central Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.

Fred Gentry Ware
August 20, 1948 - December 2, 2012

Haynesville, LA - A celebration of life service for Mr. Fred Gentry Ware, age 64, will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at the Haynesville United Methodist Church, Haynesville, LA, with Rev. Chuck Christensen officiating. Interment will follow in Old Town Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Haynesville, LA.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Ware was born on August 20, 1948 to Donnie and Ozene Gentry Ware in Haynesville and passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012 in Haynesville, LA. He was a member of the Haynesville United Methodist Church and Millerton Lodge 245 F&AM.; He was also a 32 degree Scottish Rite, El Karuba Shriner, US Veteran and was the owner/operator of Barkett Candy Company. Mr. Ware was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all.

He is a survived by his wife of 43 years, Bette Barkett Ware; son-in-law, Tommy Garrett; granddaughter, Sydney Garrett; grandson, Patrick Garrett; brother, Sammie Ware and wife, Rita and special friends, James and Kathy Harris, all of Haynesville.

Mr. Ware was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Kelley Renee Garrett.

Pallbearers will be Frank Bush, James Harris, Doyle Odom, Dan Ware, Tim Ware and Randy Williamson.

Cullen, LA - Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma Henderson Veatch , age 90, will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, November 19, 2012, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Springhill, LA, with Bro. Johnny Veatch officiating. Interment will follow in Cotton Valley Cemetery, Cotton Valley, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Bailey Funeral home, Springhill, LA

Mrs. Veatch was born on October 2, 1922 to Littrel Kelley and Coria Yother Henderson in Princeton, TX and passed away on Friday, November 16, 2012 in Shreveport. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith She loved working on her cabbage patch dolls and was a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Veatch is survived by her three daughters, Jane Rushing and husband James of Springhill, LA, Janet Cox and husband David of Camden, AR, Donna Thomas of Ringgold, LA; two sons, Thomas E. Veatch of Bossier City, LA, Danny Veatch of Ringgold, LA; sister, Jerrie Duncan of Fort Worth, TX; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; special niece, Pamela; special nephew, Gregory Michael; and a host of other family and friends.

Mrs. Veatch was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas F. Veatch; grandson, Jason Todd Rushing; and son-in-law, Kennon W. Thomas.

Pallbearers will be Adam Veatch, Brad Veatch, Kennon Thomas, Jonathan Thomas, Rodney Cox, and Greg Cox.

Dearl Lee Beshea
June 9, 1926 - June 26, 2012

Graveside services for Mr. Dearl Lee Beshea, age 86, will be held Friday, June 29, 2012 at 10:00 AM in Shiloh Cemetery with Rev. Waymon Beshea officiating. Interment will follow

under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will begin Friday at 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM at Bailey Funeral Home.

Mr. Beshea was born June 9, 1926 in Springhill, LA and passed away June 26, 2012 in Springhill, LA. He was a lifelong resident of this area; a member of the Baptist faith and a retired auto mechanic.

He is survived by his grandsons, Jason Beshea of Springhill, Jeffrey Beshea and wife, Amy of Sarepta, Jeremy Crumpler of Sarepta; great grandchildren, Eli and Blaize Beshea, Karley Crumpler; sister, Lorine Branton; brothers, Junior Beshea, Dee Beshea and wife, Wanda and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Beshea was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margie Curry Beshea and son, Tommy Beshea.

Shongaloo, Louisiana - Graveside services for Mrs. Peggy Lowe Robison , age 87, will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, March 24, 2012, in Old Shongaloo Cemetery, Shongaloo, LA with Rev. Gladney Hunt officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 23, 2012, 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA

Mrs. Robison was born on June 12, 1924 to William and Bertie Pope Lowe in Mooresville, NC and passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012 in Springhill, LA. She was a member of New Era Methodist Church, Shongaloo, LA, was a homemaker and loved working with her flowers. Mrs. Robison was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother.

She is survived by her sons, James Robison and wife, Barbara of Shongaloo, LA, John Robison and wife, Mellissa of Shongaloo, LA; two grandchildren, Tonya Dougan and husband, Victor of Shongaloo, LA, Tammy Butts and husband, Chris of Sarepta, LA; four great-grandchildren, Danny R. Boots, Jr of Shongaloo, LA, Heather D. Boots of Haynesville, LA, James M. Boots of Shongaloo, LA and Kala Jo Butts of Sarepta, LA.

Mrs. Robison was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Russell Robison and son, William Walter Robison.

Pallbearers will be Tim Beshea, David Dixon, Glenn Dixon, Frank Ponder, Danny Boots, Jr., and Michael Boots.

Hope Sandlin Tyler

May 28, 1916 - January 18, 2012

Funeral services for Mrs. Hope Sandlin Tyler, age 95, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 21, 2012 in the Springhill United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill McLain officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Bailey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Tyler was born May 28, 1916 to Samuel Clayton and Ada Oma Dees Sandlin in Taylor, AR and passed away January 18, 2012 in Springhill, LA. She was a lifelong resident of this area, a faithful member of the Springhill United Methodist Church and the UMW. Hope was a past matron of the Eastern Star, Wagner Chapter # 111 O.E.S. Mrs. Tyler was active in community and civic organizations, was a volunteer at the hospital and member of the Garden Club. She loved fishing and camping with her husband. Mrs. Tyler was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her daughter, Thema Jean Tyler McKinnis of Springhill, LA; son and daughter-in-law, Donald Ray Don Tyler and wife, Angie Hart Tyler of Bartlesville, OK; grandchildren, Michael Alan McKinnis and wife, Rachel, Dr. Donald Ray Tyler II and wife, Dr. Shannon Tyler, Dion Estero Tyler and wife, Amy, Deena Renee Tyler, Dr. Jean Dontee Tyler; great grandchildren, Cade, Aidan, Dashiell, Carter and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Tyler was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delma B. Tyler, May, 2004; son-in-law, William Carroll McKinnis, August, 2003 and sister, Sylvia OBier Burnett, March 2009.

Serving as pallbearers will be nephews: Herman Tyler, Jimmy Tyler, Drew Sonny Tyler, Mike Tyler, Sam OBier, Fred OBier, Michael OBier and Mike Reeves. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Day, Terry Farrington, Johnny Ray McEachern, Richard Baker, Charlie Park, Dr. Matt Lane, Jimmy House, Mack Robinson, Len Ragus and members of the Eastern Star, Wagner Chapter, #111 O.E.S.
