Ruby Jones Lyles

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Jones Lyles, age 83, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the Plain Dealing Church of Christ, where she was a member, with Mr. Waymon Swain and Mr. Alvin Swain officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Plain Dealing, LA.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday at Bailey Funeral Home in Plain Dealing.
Mrs. Lyles, a resident of Plain Dealing, died Saturday, January 1, 2011 in Bossier City, LA. She was a retired employee of the Bossier Parish School System having worked in the school cafeteria for over 20 years and was a homemaker. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie B. Pappy Lyles, on February 20, 1990; by her parents, William C. and Roxie Bearden Jones; four sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by her sons, Lamar Lyles and wife, Pamela of Newellton, LA; Lloyd Lyles and wife, Nancy; James Lyles and wife, Rhonda; Gary Lyles and wife, Tonya, all of Plain Dealing, LA; nine grandsons; two granddaughters; three step-grandsons; six great-grandchildren and, sister, Fay Crowell of Silsbie, TX.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family expresses a special thank you to Virginia Barnette and the nurses and staff of Willis-Knighton Bossier 4th Floor, Bossier City, LA for their loving care over the years.

Burnis F. Carrington, Jr.
February 15, 1942 - September 20, 2012
Funeral services for Mr. Burnis Felton "Brother" Carrington, Jr., age 70, will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, September 23, 2012, at the Oak Hill Baptist Church, Plain Dealing, LA, with Rev. Kevin Hathorn officiating and Dr. Steve Pettey assisting. Interment will follow in the Hamiter Cemetery, Plain Dealing, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Carrington was born on February 15, 1942 to Burnis F. and Vera Jones Carrington, Sr. in Tyler, TX and passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012 in Shreveport. He was a member of Plain Dealing Baptist Church, and the Owner/Operator of Carrington's Kwik Pak in Plain Dealing. He loved fishing, and spending time with his grandkids.
Mr. Carrington is survived by his daughter, Tracy C. Langston and husband Troy of Plain Dealing, LA; son, Trae Carrington and wife Claire of Monroe, LA; two granddaughters, Amanda and Jennifer Langston of Plain Dealing; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kay Hamiter Carrington; and sister, Joy Liotta.
Pallbearers will be Jon Hamiter, Trevor Beaubouef, Dewayne Nick, Mike St. Claire, Jeremy Dodson, and Shay Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be Obie Hamiter, David Kelly, Hershel Malone, Billy Impson, G. M. Dodson and Mike McKinney.
For the loving care extended to Burnis; Trae, Tracy, and family would like to thank Inspirations in Springhill, Dana Jones, the nurses and staff atWillis Knighton Pierremont ICU and especially Whispering Pines Nursing Home and Staff for the exceptional care provided for the past 10 years.

Ola Mae Thompson
May 11, 1917 - March 31, 2012
Ola Mae Thompson, 94 of Junction City, La passed from this life on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Timberlane Heath and Rehab Center in El Dorado, Ar. She was born on May 11, 1917 in Lillie, La to the late George and Mattie (Matthews) Ryals.
Although everyone might not have known but, Ola was a very talented seamstress and quilt maker. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother and very much enjoyed playing bridge, dominoes and scrabble. She loved being outdoors, whether it be gardening or going fishing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mattie Ryals, Husband, John S. Pete Thompson, two sisters, Omie Farrar and Maybelle Tillman, two brothers, Jesse Ryals and Neal Ryals.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, John Thompson and his wife Mitzi of Junction city, two grandsons, Jonathan Thompson and his wife Audrey of Baton Rouge, La and Justin Thompson of Junction City. Also, numerous nieces, nephews and friends
Funeral Services will be at 10:00am, Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Bailey Funeral Home in Junction City with Bro. Nick ONale officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Junction City.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Monday evening at Bailey Funeral Home in Junction City.
Leece Estelle Wynne Blackmon

Graveside services and interment for Mrs. Leecy Estelle Wynne Blackmon, age 78, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 25, 2012 at the Old Shongaloo Cemetery, Shongaloo, LA with Rev. Rev. Lee G. Nunley officiating. Services are under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Bailey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Blackmon was born October 15, 1933 in Shongaloo, LA to Ruben Oliver and Nora Barnard Wynne and died Friday, June 22, 2012 in Shreveport, LA. She was a native of Shongaloo and had been a resident of Bossier City since 1960. She was a member of the Point Chapel Assembly of God, was a homemaker and former owner of a grocery store on Lake Bisteneau and was employed with an insurance business for 19 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Blackmon, Jr. on June 30, 1999; daughter, Rebecca Hennigan; five brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by a brother, James “Shorty” Wynne of Springhill, LA; grandchildren, Trey Hennigan; Shawna Yates and Aaron Hennigan; a number of great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for A. L. Caudle, age 86, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 20, 2012 at the First Baptist Church, Springhill, LA where he was a deacon and faithful member, with Rev. Ronald Morgan officiating and eulogy by Chad Bradley. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Bailey Funeral Home.
Mr. Caudle was born July 19, 1925 to Albert L. and Minilia Jane Rothwell Caudle in Bodcaw, AR. He died peacefully at his home in Springhill, surrounded by his family on Friday, February 17, 2012. He had been a resident of Springhill since 1955. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army; was co-owner and longtime manager of Polks Furniture City and was a past member of the Board of Directors of Citizens Bank and Trust. In 2005, Mr. Caudle was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Chamber of Commerce honoring his many years as an ethical businessman. He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Joyce Crider Caudle, on July 14, 2010; his parents; sisters, Lillian OSteen and Gerteen Aslin and brother, Curtis Caudle. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his daughter, Cherry Bradley and husband, Mike of Springhill, LA; son, Randy Caudle and wife, Susan of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Chad Michael Bradley; Adam Randall Bradley and wife, Lindsey, all of Springhill, LA; Jennifer Ann Caudle and Sarah Elaine Caudle, both of Bossier City, LA; great-grandchildren, Chezney Reece Bradley and Weston Adam Bradley; sister, Iva Nell Miller of St. Simons, GA; special nephew, Dwain OSteen and wife, Mary of Springhill and a host of other nieces and nephews; special friends, Christie and Jared Whitlock and their sons, Christian and Deakan.
The family wishes to thank Dr. David Law and all the staff at Springhill Medical Center, Springhill Doctors Clinic, Dr. Patrick Deere and the staff at The Promise of Bossier City and Dr. William Haynie. They would also like to thank Agape Hospice and special thanks going to Lee Jones and Dena Branton. Also would thank his caregivers, Mattie Crawford, Cal McGill and Dino Perry.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Bradley, Adam Bradley, Dwain O'Steen, C. E. Butch Aslin, Cal McGill, Joe Thompson, Jared Whitlock and Daniel Wood. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of First Baptist Church, Randys Bible Study Group and employees of Polks Furniture City.

Graveside services for Mrs. Lillie Mae Taylor Hillebrandt, age 84, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 9, 2012 in the Welcome Cemetery, Taylor, AR. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 8, 2012 at 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Bailey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hillebrant was born May 28, 1928 to Henry Hawkins and Era Disotell Taylor in Taylor, AR and passed away on June 7, 2012 in Springhill, LA. She was a resident of Springhill, a member of Church of Christ and had worked as a cashier. Mrs. Hillebrandt loved reading, playing the piano, was a hard worker and very honest. She loved her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
She is survived by her sons, Mike Mayfield and wife, Beverly of Minden, LA, Pat Mayfield and wife, Una of Cold Springs, TX, Brock Hillebrandt of Cold Springs, TX, Mart Tilton Hillebrandt of Springhill, LA, Bernard Joseph Hillebrandt, Jr. of Springhill, LA, James Henry Hillebrandt;Patricia Waston; eight grandchildren, Eli Hillebrandt, Slade Lockey Hillebrandt, Kellie Ardese, Mathew Mayfield, Laura Davidson, Patricia Mayfield, Robert Mayfield, Terri Mayfield; eleven great grandchildren; sister, Virgie Lindsey and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hillebrandt was preceded in death by parents and sister, Angeline Taylor Reynolds.
