Shongaloo, LA - Funeral services for Mrs. Viola Terrell Barnard, age 81, will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, November 4, 2012, in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Springhill, LA with Pastor Chuck Christensen officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Springhill, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barnard was born on September 12, 1931 to Joel and Fannie Jones Terrell in Arkadelphia, AR and passed away on November 2, 2012 in Springhill, LA. She was a member of Old Shongaloo Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion Auxilary and Shongaloo Homemakers Club. She loved to volunteer and minister to others. Mrs. Barnard also enjoyed cooking, especially baking bread and sweet potato pies. She loved her family and friends dearly.
She is survived by her three sons, Rickie Barnard and wife, Marion of Taylor, AR, Greg Barnard and wife, Lynda of Haughton, LA, Jeffery Barnard of Shongaloo, LA; daughter, Rhonda Rolen of Ruston, LA; eleven grandchildren, Melanie Jeffrey and husband, Chris of Lewisville, TX, Hilary Franks of Magnolia, AR, Matthew Barnard of Taylor, AR, Trevor Barnard of Haughton, LA, Shannon Barnard of Haughton, LA, Daniel Barnard and wife, Beckie of Springhill, LA, Jennifer Wunderlich and husband, Eric of Fort Worth, TX, Michele Atkinson and husband, Brent of Magnolia, AR, Andy Rolen and wife, Kelly of Springhill, LA, Kim Woods and husband, Barry of Atlanta, TX, Scott Bennett and wife, Shane of Magnolia, AR; numerous great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Imogene Stevens of Springhill, LA; nephew, Brent Stevens of Dallas, TX and son-in-law, Peck Bennett of Atlanta, TX.
Mrs. Barnard was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, E.T. "Small" Barnard and daughter, Diane Bennett.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Barnard, Trevor Barnard, Daniel Barnard, Andy Rolen, Scott Bennett and Eric Wunderlich.

April 30, 1928 - June 15, 2011
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel in Haynesville, LA for Dorothy Polk Kennedy, 83, who passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Burial will be at Old Town Cemetery in Haynesville, LA. Dr. Shelby Cowling of First Baptist Church Haynesville will officiate.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Billy Kennedy of Lafayette, LA; three children, Tom Kennedy and his wife Carol of Houston, TX; Richard Kennedy and his wife Debby of Lafayette, LA; Anna Eisenzopf and her husband Rudy of Lafayette, LA; six grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Polk and Clara Polk; 4 brothers, Walter Polk, Charles Polk, John Polk,and Donnie Polk; 2 sisters, Minnie Lee Powell, and Lucille Johnson.
Dorothy was a long time resident of Haynesville, LA and recently moved to Lafayette, LA to be near her family. Dorothy was a loving wife and a devoted mom. She dearly loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Friday, June 17, 2011 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home in Haynesville, LA. Memorial contributions can be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research on their website www.michaeljfox.org.

Funeral services for Mr. Bernard Booth Stanford, age 86, will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Coffey officiating. Interment will follow in the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, June 8, 2012.
Mr. Stanford was born February 20, 1926 in Minden, LA to Artis Elmore and Gertrude Adie Stanford and passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012 in Springhill, LA. He was a resident of Springhill, a member of the Butler Street Church of Christ, a WW II veteran and a building contractor for 58 years. Mr. Stanford enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruth Lynn O’Neal Stanford of Springhill, LA; sons, Danny Stanford and wife, Angela of Hot Springs, AR, Sammy Stanford of Springhill; grandchildren, Alan Stanford and wife, Debbie of Springhill, Brad Stanford of Chicago, IL, Mark Stanford and wife, Elizabeth of Benton, LA, Anna Stewart and husband, Phillip of Benton, LA; eleven great grandchildren; brother, David Stanford of Springhill; sister-in-law, Mrs. George Taylor of Springhill; nieces, Jana Russell of Springhill, Lisa Dupree and husband, Ken of Bossier City, LA and a host of other nieces and nephews.
Mr. Stanford was preceded in death by his parents and numerous brothers and sisters.
Honoring him as pallbearers will be Alan Stanford, Brad Stanford, Mark Stanford, Phillip Stewart, Mark O’Neal and Robert O’Neal.

Sarepta, LA - Funeral services for Mrs. Karen Lane Nance, age 44, will be held Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Bailey Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Charles Woolley officiating. Interment will follow in Old Sarepta Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will begin Friday at 6:00 PM.
Mrs. Nance was born October 24, 1964 in Monroe, LA to Alfred Luther and Sherry Ann Terry Smith and passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009 at her residence in Sarepta, LA after a courageous battle with cancer. She had been a resident of this area for 28 years, a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Springhill, LA and a Dental Assistant for Dr. Hodgkiss for seven years.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Allen Chuck Nance; sons, Charles Allen Nance III, Brandon Lane Nance, both of Bossier City, LA; mother, Sherry Ann Rice of West Monroe, LA, step- father, Johnny Rice of West Monroe, LA; sister, Lori Smith of West Monroe, LA and the joy and light of her life, her grandchildren, Allie and Haydon Nance.
Mrs. Nance was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Luther Smith and a brother, Danny Sapie.
Pallbearers will be David Hodgkiss, Dennis Robin, Donnie OGlee, Gary Warford, Randy Hughes and Stanley Newson.

Mrs. Proctor, a resident of Bossier City, died Friday, December 2, 2011 in her home after a sudden illness. She had taught the fourth grade for many years, was a avid reader, amazing cook, devoted mother and wife. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Phillips; daughter, Jennifer "Roo" Louann Dean and her biological father, Donald J. Morgan.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Roger Proctor and children, Brad, Alaina, and Dan, all of Bossier City, LA; her mother Mary Ann Phillips of Hooks, TX; sister, Louann Phillips Adair and husband, Steve and their children, Amy and Jake, all of Blooming Grove, TX and brother, Chuck Phillips of Hooks, TX.

Mr. Bailey was born on February 25, 1951 to Larry and Lois Maxine Garrett Bailey in Homer, LA and passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 in Minden. He loved to hunt and fish.
Ozzie is survived by his mother, Maxine Garrett Bailey of Haynesville; aunts, Clarice Garrett of Haynesville, and Nell Garrett of Ringgold, LA.
Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his father, Larry Bailey; and sister, Barbara "Beno" Winn.
Pallbearers will be Troy Baremore, Larry Burley, John Christian, Jimmy "Bo Dale" Crump, Tommy Garrett, and Kent Toney.
