Graveside services for Mrs. Noreen Kidman Lewis, age 86, will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 28, 2012, at the Jolley Cemetery, Junction City, AR, with Bro. John Hicks officiating. Interment will follow in under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Haynesville, LA.
Mrs. Lewis was born on September 2, 1925 in England and passed away on January 24, 2012 in Elverta, CA. She was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Sand and husband Wayne of Elverta, CA; sons, Richard Lewis of OK, Gene Lewis of Rolinda, CA; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by husband, E.G. "Jack" Lewis, sons, Alfred Lee Lewis, Jack Lewis and a sister.

Sherri Dyer Moore
June 22, 1958 - June 2, 2012
Sherri Elaine Dyer Moore went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 7:00am after a courageous battle with cancer. Sherri was born June 22, 1958 to Leon and Lois Dyer in Springhill, LA. She was a Springhill High School graduate and an Alumni of Southern Arkansas University where she received her Master in Education Administration. Sherri was a school teacher at Bradley Elementary School for 27 years and most recently the principal at Bradley for the last 4 years.
Visitation will be at Central Baptist Church on Monday, June 4, 2012 from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Central Baptist Church on Monday, June 4, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Bro. Phillip Carroll leading the services.
Sherri was preceded in death by her father, Leon Dyer; father-in-law, Robert Moore; sister, Shirley Renee Lovell; grandparents, John F. and Bertie Reynolds and Robert Lee and Clifford Dyer.
Survivors include her best friend and loving husband of 36 years, Ricky Moore and two beautiful daughters, Katelyn Paige Moore , Lauren Leigh Moore and her fiancé, Ben Caldwell; mother, Mae Lois Reynolds Dyer of Welcome, AR; mother-in-law, Jacque Moore of Hot Springs, AR; brother, Leon Dyer Jr and wife, Karen of Welcome, AR; sisters, Becky Robison and husband, Ivan of Butler, MO; Kelli McLelland and husband, Brandon of Magnolia, AR; brothers-in-law, Rocky and wife, Cindy Moore of Springhill, LA; and Rusty Moore of Hot Springs, AR; nieces and nephews, Danielle , Wesley, Seth, Erin, Hailey, Hannah, Leah, Adam, Kyler, Grace, Mattison, Jaidyn, Gabe, Lily, and Zoey. Special friends, Patricia Deloach and Sheila Tompkins and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, fellow teachers and students.
Pallbearers will be Rusty Moore, Rocky Moore, Huey Hammontree, Jr., Billy Gleason, Harold Payne, Gammye Moore, Corey Grayson and Ray Grayson.

Graveside services and interment for Katherine Hudnall Formby, age 92, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 10, 2010 with Mr. Keith Shofner officiating. Services are under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Bailey Mortuary.
Mrs. Formby, a lifelong resident of this area, died Thursday, October 7, 2010 in Springhill, LA. She was a faithful member of the Butler Street Church of Christ and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Kenneth Formby; brothers, Robert Hudnall, Alton Hudnall and Jack W. Hudnall; sister, Ruth Hudnall Beene and her parents, William Joseph and Salome Clary Hudnall.
She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, a great-great-nephew and a great-great-niece and many friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Fountain View Nursing Home for years of loving care and attention. Also, a special thank you to Dr. David Law and Agape Hospice.

Mrs. Eeds was born October 18, 1912 in Marion, LA to L.T. and Effie Cobb Moore and passed away June 22, 2011 in Kings Mountain, NC. She was a resident of Shelby, NC and a former resident of Cullen, LA. Mrs. Eeds was a retired post master from Cullen.
She is survived by her son, L. Paul Eeds and wife, Kitty of Shelby, NC; daughter-in-law, Johnnie Crews Eeds Smith of Springhill, LA; sister, Mary Hudson of Calion, AR; grandchildren, Vickie Hendrick of Shreveport, LA, Lane Barnard of Springhill, LA, Billy Eeds of Springhill, LA, Debbie Smith of Charlotte, NC, Kathy Skinner of Charlotte, NC; Robert Baker of Huntsville, AL, Bill Baker of Charleston, NC, Gene Smith of Shongaloo, LA; great grandchildren, Wendy Litton, Katie Hendrick, Maggie Hendrick, Paula Smith, Tally Smith, April Skinner, Jeanifer Bearden, Cindy Bearden, Emma Barnard, Talon Barnard, Jock Barnard and numerous great great grandchildren.

Dr. Robert L. Frye
January 9, 1927 - February 4, 2011
On February 4, 2011, Dr. Robert L. Frye went home to be with his Lord after a lengthy period of illness. He was born, January 9th, 1927 to Jennings Bryan Frye and Fannie Mae Coyle Frye in Shongaloo, Louisiana. He attended and graduated from Shongaloo High and left for LSU at age 16 in 1943, where he graduated with a doctorates degree in January 1966. He married Bettye Elmore Frye on October 6th, 1945 and left for service in the U. S. Army during WWII. He returned home to start a family and become an educator in Louisiana Schools for 35 years. His career began at Reeves High as a teacher and coach and advanced to become a principal in Webster Parish at Evergreen, Dubberly, and Shongaloo. During these years, he was blessed with 4 children and continued his advancement to the State Department of Education and then to Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. He served as a member of the Tangipahoa Parish School Board and ran for State Superintendent of Education. His greatest pride was the children he knew and educated in schools and colleges and the lives he influenced were a source of pride. Dr. Frye was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Frye of Springhill and his brother Dr. Jennings Bryan Frye, Jr. of Baton Rouge. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bettye Elmore Frye age 83, of Springhill, his sister, Nona Rhea Walker age 90 of Baton Rouge, four children Robert R. of Tulsa, Bettye Renee of Baton Rouge, Deborah Jean Frye Ferachi and her husband Kenny Ferachi of Plaquemine, and Kevin Dale and wife Janice Frye of Benton, LA. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Keely Frye Dailey and husband Steve Dailey of Seattle, Randal Ray Frye and wife Minon of Broken Arrow, OK, and Robert M. Frye and wife Janya of Bixby, OK, Kenny Ferachi and wife Gretchen of Baton Rouge, Kaci Ferachi Nobles and husband Chris Nobles of Valdosta, GA, and Heather Dale Frye of Hammond. LA. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren Kaylen and Emme Dailey of Seattle, Kinslee Marie, and Jeremiah Frye of Broken Arrow, OK, Robert Alexander Frye of Bixby, OK, Sarah Manning, Madeline Frye, Vincent Andrew, and Anna Catherine Ferachi of Baton Rouge, and Gage Dale Brown of Hammond. Nephews, Drs. Barton and Lloyd Frye of Baton Rouge, Dr. A. D. Walker of Houma, Gary and Steve Walker of Baton Rouge, J. B. Frye III of Baton Rouge and Bill Elmore of Ruston and Freddie Elmore Of Eldorado, AR and Mike Elmore of Texarkana; nieces Nona Frye Spence of Lake Charles, Sharon Walker Mathews of Baton Rouge and Paulette Elmore of Houston and so many spouses and precious relatives that cannot all be named. He loved his Lord and is resting and rejoicing in that Love today. Visitation is at 4pm until 7pm at Bailey Funeral Home in Springhill, Sunday the 6th and funeral services are at First Baptist Church in Springhill at 2 pm the 7th of February. Burial will follow in the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Peggy Hines
March 11, 1928 - July 11, 2012
Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Cook Hines, age 84, will be held Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the United Methodist Church, Haynesville, LA with Pastor Chuck Christensen and Rev. Bryan S. Dauphin officiating. Interment will follow in Old Town Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
Visitation will begin Friday at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hines was born March 11, 1928 in Homer, LA to Basil and Lilly Van Nelson Cook and passed away July 11, 2012 at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of this area and was a faithful member of Haynesville United Methodist Church, where she was a choir member for many years and the Whitehall United Methodist Church where she played the piano. Mrs. Hines was secretary for HOC for ten years and was the secretary for R.A. Fowler Trucking Company for 34 years. She was very active in the UMW of the Methodist Church and was treasurer of Ladies Day where she loved playing cards and visiting with friends. Mrs. Hines was very supportive to everything she was involved in, within the Haynesville Community. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lawrence William Hines of Haynesville, LA; grandchildren, Jennifer Huson and husband, Brian of Canton, TX, Meagan McElroy and husband, Mike of Arp, TX, Brock Hines and wife, Erin of Tyler, TX; great grandchildren, Jordan, Bailee, Abigail, Emma, Madalyn, Aubrey, Ashlynn, Carson, Kinsley and daughter-in-law, Theresa Keen and husband, Kem of Arcadia, LA and devoted lifelong friends, Smiley and Peggy Pemberton, Jean and Jack Price, and Jean Jackson.
Mrs. Hines was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Hines on October 7, 2006; her father, her mother; step-father, Edison John Bullock and brother, Phillip Cook.
Serving as pallbearers will be Phil Pemberton, Bob Benefield, Brian Huson, Kem Keen, Bobby Hines and Brock Hines. Honorary pallbearers will be Smiley Pemberton, Charles Garrett, Jack Price, C.D. Bougus, Donald Davenport, Dr. Carl Hines and Mac Waits.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Beautification of Haynesville, Haynesville United Methodist Church, Whitehall Methodist Church, Old Town Cemetery or memorial of choice.

Funeral services for Mrs. Claudia Boswell Hall, age 86, will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie DeHondt and Rev. Jake Vandenberg officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will begin Wednesday at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hall was born January 31, 1926 in Zimmerman, LA to David Myers and Martha Elizabeth “Mattie” Ivey Boswell and passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 in Shreveport, LA.
She had been a resident of Shreveport since 1997, where she was a member of Rose Park Baptist Church and was a former resident of Springhill since 1948, where she was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church, helping in the Children’s Department. Mrs. Hall retired from the Webster Parish School Board with 25 years of service as cafeteria manager of Springhill High School.
She is survived by her children, David Hall and wife, Patricia of Huntersville, NC, Sherryl Stevens and husband, Gary of Greenwood, LA, Diane Watson and husband, Darryl of Springhill, Mary Woods and husband, Douglas of Greenwood, LA; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren; brother, Thomas Boswell and wife, Margarette of Sarepta, LA; two nieces and three nephews.
Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louie David Hall, Sr. in 1977; sister, Geneva Worrall and brother, Ray Boswell.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be grandsons, Kevin Hall, Todd Stevens, Jon McEachern, Daniel Woods, Craig Strange and Pat Galbraith.
