Dorothy C. Dickson

October 12, 1921 - November 5, 2012

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy C. Dickson, age 91, will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 2:00 PM in Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Dale Strother officiating. Interment will follow in Waldo Cemetery, Waldo, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will begin Friday, November 9, 2012 at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Dickson was born October 12, 1921 in Stamps, AR to Arnold and Nina Earl Fields Callicott and passed away Monday, November 5, 2012 in Mt. Pleasant, TX. She had been a resident of this area since 1949, was a faithful member Calvary Baptist Church and was a retired school teacher of 26 years of Browning Elementary School where she taught second grade. Mrs. Dickson was a graduate of Stamps High School, South Arkansas University, Tech and Auburn. She was also a member of Good Sam’s Club, Classy Contessas Red Hat Society, has won the Teacher of the Year Award and loved kids and making learning fun.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Yocum of Daingerfield, TX; grandson, Tommy Yocum of Diana, TX, Andy Yocum and wife, Ning of Houston, TX, David Yocum and wife, Laurie of Chandler, AZ, Michael Yocum and wife, Cindy of Daingerfield, TX; great grandchildren, Mitchel, Allison, William, Ashleigh; brother, James David Callicott and wife, Doris of Sevierville, TN and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dickson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul E. Dickson; infant daughter, Marsha Lynn Dickson and brothers, Richard and Walter Callicott.

Honoring her as pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons, Tommy Yocum, Andy Yocum, David Yocum, Michael Yocum, Mitchel Yocum and William Yocum. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Harold “Smiley” Nehls, B.T. “Joe” Powell and Harold McEachern.

Jimmie C Douglas

August 22, 1937 - March 2, 2012

Benton, LA - Graveside services and interment for Jimmie C. Douglas, age 74, will be held Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Plain Dealing Cemetery with Rev. Nicholas Adams officiating. Interment will be under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Saturday at Bailey Funeral Home in Plain Dealing.

Mr. Douglas, a resident of this area since 1978 died Friday, March 2, 2012 in Bossier City, LA. He was a member of the Protestant faith, was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in the Viet Nam Conflict and was a retired financial officer.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pat French Douglas of Benton, LA; daughter, Debra D. Denler and husband Ricky of Shreveport, LA; son, Carl Douglas of Benton, LA; grandchildren, Ricky Denler, Jr. and wife, Amanda; Kevin Denler and wife, Katie; Kimberly Denler and husband, Rafy; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Cole, Olivia and Josie; sisters, Mildred Smith of Batesville, AR; Wanda Bledsoe and Sarah Beasley both of Kansas City, MO; Joan Billingsley of Koshkong, MO and a number of nieces and nephews.

Charles Ray Harrison SR

November 27, 1939 - November 30, 2012

Charles Ray Harrison SR, age 73 of Springhill, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Springhill Medical Center in Springhill. He was born on November 27, 1939 in Louisiana to the late Ray Miller Harrison and Ruth Amanda (Woodall) Harrison.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Barbara Ann (Ponder) Harrison; one son, John Edward Harrison and two brothers, Bobby Joe Harrison and Ronnie Dale Harrison.

Those left to cherish his memory include three daughters, Carolyn Taylor and her husband Tommy of Junction City, Shelia McBreen and her husband Kelly of Norman, Oklahoma and Jody Wood and her husband Kelly of El Dorado; one son, Charles Ray Harrison JR and his wife Denise of Little Rock; thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren; three brothers, James Harrison of Shongaloo, LA, Robert Harrison of Sarepta, LA and Jerry Harrison of Texarkana, AR; two sisters, Sandra Rattliff of Sarepta, LA and Carolyn Barnes of Junction City.

Visitation will from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Bailey Funeral Home in El Dorado.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Smith and Bro. Allen Grimmett officiating. Burial will follow at Laran Cemetery in Louisiana under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado. The family will be at the home of Tommy and Carolyn Taylor, 5481 Wesson Road, Junction City, AR

Hubert Roy Griffin

January 26, 1922 - March 19, 2012

Funeral services for Mr. Hubert Roy Griffin, age 90, will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 22, 2012, at the First Baptist Church, Springhill, LA, with Bro. Ronald Morgan and Chaplain Matt Impson officiating. Interment will follow in the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Griffin was born on January 26, 1922 to Andrew J. and Idella Zeigler Griffin in Selma, LA and passed away on March 19, 2012 at his home in Springhill. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Springhill, WWII U.S. Navy Air Corps Veteran serving in the European and Pacific Theatre and was retired from International Paper Company after 37 years of service.

He is survived by his three daughters, Linda Miller and husband, John of Little River, SC, Marie Burford of Springhill, Mary Hendricks and husband, Tony of Flora, MS; seven grandchildren, Jeff Miller of Amarillo, TX, Paul Miller of Little River, SC, Stacy Capp and husband, Steve of Tyler, TX, Teresa Mize and husband, Justin of Flora, MS, Crystal Hendricks of Jackson, MS, Kelley Duke and husband, Josh of Taylor, AR, Amber Hendricks of Flora, MS; sixteen great-grandchildren, Morgan Perryman and husband, Adam, Jay Scott Miller, Dylan Miller, Emily Miller, Makayla Miller, Jaden Miller, Anna Capp, Sara Capp, Payton Brady, Bailey Mize, Katie Duke, Ryan Duke, Maddi Duke, Nathan Durden, Bridger Mize, Damien Miller; great great-granddaughter, Hannah Perryman and sister, Jo Ann Corley of Georgetown, LA. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Juanita McBroom Griffin; one brother and four sisters.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cecil Dumas, Harley Thomas, Rodney Tyler, Johnny McEachern, Jack McMurtry, and Scott Koehn.

James Lee O'Glee

April 1, 1955 - June 4, 2009

Sarepta, LA - James Lee O'Glee of Sarepta, LA, beloved son of Pam and George OGlee went to be with the Lord, at the age of 54, on June 4, 2009 after a courageous battle with diabetes and all the accompanying complications of which he never complained.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 8, 2009 at New Sarepta Baptist Church with Rev. John Downs and Rev. Mike Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Old Sarepta Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Springhill, LA Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Bailey Mortuary.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his parents; brother, Donnie and wife, Rhonda of Sarepta, LA; sister, Donna Flores of Houston, TX; nephews, Dustin OGlee and wife, Kristie, Dane OGlee, all of Sarepta; niece, Amber Flores of Houston, TX; great nephew, Kaylen OGlee; uncles, David OGlee of Little Elm, TX, James OGlee and wife, Sherry of Springhill; aunt, Dorothy Barrow of Pineville, LA, their children; many more relatives and friends and
his two constant companions, Coco and Missy who gave him the strength to go on as long as he did.

He was a gentle soul and loved by all who knew him. The family wishes to thank all our friends for their kindness and encouragement to Lee through the years.

Pallbearers will be Dustin OGlee, Dane O'Glee, Pat Modisette, Billy Shepherd, Ray Robin, Dennis Robin, David Robin and Jerry Robin.

Son, you were my good right arm and shining star. Someday we will be with you where you are. Till that day comes, have rest in your heartwe will be together, never to part. We Love You.

Springhill, Louisiana - Graveside services for Mr. Roy Leon Gray , age 64, will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 21, 2011, in Springhill Cemetery, Springhill, LA with Bro. Tim Vines officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2011 beginning at 12:00 pm until 1:45 pm at Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Mr. Gray was born on November 15, 1947 to Roy and Christine Powell Gray in Springhill, LA and passed away on December 18, 2011 in Sarepta, LA. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp, was a resident of Springhill, LA and was a former resident of Houston, TX.

He is survived by his mother, Christine Powell Gray of Springhill, LA; sister, Elizabeth Gray Haynes of Sarepta, LA; nephews, Jeffery Haynes of McKinney, TX, Michael Haynes and wife,Christina of Taylor, AR and great nieces and nephews, Brandon, Madison, Hailey, Cameron and Hayden.

Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his father, Roy C. Gray.

Francell Lowe

January 24, 1938 - August 7, 2011

Funeral services for Mrs. Francell Lowe, age 73, will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2011, 10:00 am at the Bailey Funeral Home, Haynesville, LA, with Bro. Andrew Abshire officiating.

Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery, Haynesville, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Haynesville, LA.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 09, 2011 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home, Haynesville, LA.

Mrs. Lowe was born on January 24, 1938 to James Oscar and Francis Garrett Miller at Waldo, AR and passed away on August 7, 2011 in Haynesville, LA.

She was retired from Wade Correctional Center after 27 years of service and an avid supporter and worker of the Haynesville Butterfly Festival.

Francell is survived by her husband of 47 yrs., Mickey Joe Lowe, two daughters - Linda Lowe (Delight Elkins) of Texarkana, AR, Donna Ellinwood of Bossier City, LA; son, Mickey Lowe Jr. of Simsboro, LA; two sisters - Dorothy Price of Haynesville, LA, Lillian (Maurice) Birdwell of Pearl, MS; brother, John Miller(Nell Omstead) of Waldo, AR; grandson - Jeffery Ellinwood of Bossier City, LA; .

Mrs. Lowe was preceded in death by parents James Oscar and Francis Garrett Miller and one brother Travis Miller.

A special thanks from the family to Dr. Samuel Abshire and Harmony Life Hospice.
