Funeral services for Mrs. Courtney Brice Pope, age 77, will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the First Baptist Church of Cotton Valley with Rev. Don Shirley officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Cotton Valley, LA.
Visitation will begin Tuesday at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Cotton Valley, LA.
Mrs. Pope was born March 2, 1934 to Maben Rogers and Mertice Laverne Thornton Brice in Shreveport, LA and passed away Sunday, December 4, 2011 in Shongaloo, LA. She had been a resident of Cotton Valley since 1961, a faithful and active member of First Baptist Church and was a retired manager of Recycling Employees Federal Credit Union, Cotton Valley, for numerous years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was loved by many friends.
She is survived by daughters, Cynthia P. Cater and husband, Doug of Shongaloo, LA, Debra P. Roberts and husband, Pat of Benton, AR; seven grandchildren, Sara Baker and husband, Dustin, Rachel Stephens, Courtney Goodwin and husband, Cody, Joseph Clark, Jon Chris Roberts and wife, Carmen, Colby Roberts, Ashton Roberts; six great grandchildren, Brice, Eli, Leyton, Wesley, Maddox, Zoey; brothers, Thornton Brice and wife, Linda of Shreveport, LA, David Brice and and wife, Betty of Ivan, LA; special friend, Frank Brown of Cotton Valley, LA; two step-grandsons, Nick Cater, Michael Cater and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Pope was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Marlon Pope.
Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Goodwin, Dustin Baker, Joseph Clark, Jon Chris Roberts, Colby Roberts and Ashton Roberts.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Cotton Valley, LA.

Jefferson "Jack" Taylor

Funeral services for Jefferson "Jack" Taylor, age 85, will be held Sunday, March 11, 2012, at 2:00 pm in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Springhill, LA with Rev. Jake Vandenberg and Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Springhill, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home.
Mr. Taylor was born on February 13, 1927 to Henry Lee "Pete" and Ona Butler Taylor in Emerson, AR and passed away on March 8, 2012 in Springhill, LA. He was a member of Walnut Road Baptist Church, was a US Air Force Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict and was retired from International Paper Company after 36 years of service. Mr. Taylor loved to work on vehicles and was a good mechanic. Many visited Jack Taylors for his help. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Bobbie Jean Taylor of Shongaloo, LA; daughter, Genevee Goehring and husband, Clifford of Gladewater, TX; four grandchildren, Monica Howell and husband, Logan of Liberty City, TX, Bonita Madden of Liberty City, TX, Kim Sistrunk of Bossier City, LA, Jeffery Sistrunk of Bossier City, LA; eleven great grandchildren; sister, Delores Maxwell and husband, Jimmy of Atlanta, GA and two brothers, Tommy Taylor and wife, Jeanette of Springhill, LA and Travis Taylor and wife, Ruth of Baltimore, MD.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Julia Sistrunk, sisters, Callie Watson, Allie Brannan, Mavis Jean Cook and brother, Harold Taylor, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Mark Schildroth, Greg Schildroth, Jeff Harper, Bill Taylor, Wilbern Taylor and Clifford Goehring.

Mrs. Carraway was born September 3, 1938 in Taylor, AR to Everett Bourbon and Jessie Faye Rogers Benson and passed away Friday, August 24, 2012 at her home. She was a resident of Sarepta, LA, a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Burge of Sarepta, LA, Andy Carraway and wife, Suzanne of Sarepta, LA; daughter, Lynn Williams and husband, Greg of Doddridge, AR; four grandchildren, Jessica Williams, Holden Williams, both of Doddridge, AR, Andrew Carraway, Camron Carraway, both of Sarepta, LA; great granddaughter, Sida Scott of Magnolia, AR; three brothers, Kenneth Benson and wife, Bonnie of Sarepta, LA, Ronny Benson and wife, Gayle of Leton, LA, Danny Benson and wife, Lynn of Haughton, LA and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Carraway was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.L. Carraway and granddaughters, Devan LeeAnn Burge and Stephanie Ann Burge.

Springhill, LA - Funeral services for Harold Fred Johnson, age 78, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 7, 2010 at the Bailey Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Lyndell Chaffin officiating. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Springhill.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Saturday at Bailey Mortuary.
Mr. Johnson, a resident of Springhill for 37 years, died Thursday, November 4, 2010 in Springhill. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the US Army, a farmer and a former employee of Firestone in Magnolia, AR. He is preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Swain Johnson on November 8, 2004; his parents, Glen and Lottie A. Dendy Johnson and brother, Robert Johnson. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his daughter, Janice J. Jones and husband, Jason, of Stonewall, LA; sons, Tony McPherson of Longview, TX; Fred Johnson of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Carly McPherson and Chad Tvrdik; Caitlin Freeman, Mallory Freeman, Grey Johnson, Samuel Jones, Joshua Jones and Timothy Jones; great-grandchildren, Christian and Addison Tvrdik; sister, Novie Bagwell and husband, John; Gloria Jean Boyd and husband, Michael; brother, Robbie Glen Johnson and wife, Flo , all of Magnolia, AR.

Graveside services for Mr. Lee Fulton Jones, Jr., age 71, will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 7, 2012, in the Cotton Valley Cemetery, Cotton Valley, LA, with Bro. Troy Grafton officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Cotton Valley.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 11:00 am until 1:30 pm in Unity Baptist Church, Cotton Valley.
Mr. Jones was born on November 9, 1940 to Lee Fulton and Marcella Chandler Jones, Sr. in Cotton Valley and passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 in Bossier City, LA. He was a member of the Baptist Faith, and was retired from the Louisiana Army Ammunition Plant. Mr. Jones was a former Shreveport Policeman and Security Guard for Horseshoe Casino. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Sue Page Jones; son, Lee F. Jones, III and wife, Renee of Bossier City, LA; step-daughter, Vanessa Powell and husband, Richard of Doyline, LA; four grandchildren, Brittany Parker and husband, Kenneth of Columbus, GA, Joshua Powell of Doyline, Olivia Powell of Minden, LA, Paige Powell of Doyline; great-granddaughter, McKynli Parker of Columbus, GA; three sisters, Marilyn Coile of Cotton Valley, Helen Brandt and husband, Ron of San Antonio, TX, Glenda Cupp and husband, Dwight of Summerfield, LA and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Roy Flournoy, Wade Coile, Randall Coile, Wallace Coile, Jr., Dwight Cupp and Joey Coile.

Funeral services for Mr. John Roger Greer, age 64, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 1, 2012, in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Haynesville, LA, with Rev. Rick Frick officiating. Interment will follow in Colquitt Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Haynesville.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 30, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Greer was born on January 21, 1948 to Dan and Frances Rogers Greer in Homer, LA and passed away on April 28, 2012 at Homer Memorial Hospital in Homer, LA. He was a member of Canaan Land Assembly of God Church, Emerson, AR, was retired from Noble Drilling Company after 25yrs. of service. Mr. Greer enjoyed riding horses, spending time with his grandkids and riding his golf cart in his later years.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Vines Greer; daughter, Melissa Claunch of Haynesville, LA; son, Todd Greer and wife, Krista of Haynesville, LA; grandchildren, MaKenna Claunch, Dustin Claunch, Heather Bledsoe, Ali Bledsoe and Zach Bledsoe.
Mr. Greer was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Walker, and his parents.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Miller, Mike Delaney, Chris Delaney, Bubba Vines, Ricky Haughton and Joe Friemel.
