Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Olga Shaw, age 92, will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel in Springhill with Rev. Buck Furlow officiating. Burial will be in the Providence Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Shaw was born on July 4, 1920 to William Robert and Mary Vandora Thompson Martin in Jamestown, LA and died on Friday, January 18, 2013 in Mansfield, LA. She was a former resident of Taylor, AR and had lived in Mansfield since 2001. She was a member of the Methodist faith and was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Shaw on September 24, 2001; her parents, two sisters and one brother.
She is survived by son, Rev. Robert A. Shaw of Newton, Iowa; daughter, Lawanda Taylor and husband, Garrett of Mansfield, LA; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.

Graveside services for Mr. Richard Michael Rudd, age 62, will be held Friday, January 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Gordan Cemetery, Haynesville, LA with Bro. Rick Frick officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Haynesville, LA.
Visitation will begin Friday at 11:30 Am until 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Rudd was born September 9, 1950 in Audubon, NJ to Willard Dempsey and Verna Alva Rudd and passed away January 13, 2013 in Haynesville, LA. He was a resident of Haynesville, a member of the Baptist faith and a US Army veteran. Mr. Rudd was also a retired heavy equipment operator and mechanic.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan Holt Rudd of Haynesville, LA; sons, Michael Wayne Rudd of Haynesville, LA, Mark Alan Rudd and wife, Reatina of Junction City, AR; brothers, David Rudd, Jonathan Rudd, Joseph Rudd and grandchildren, Michael Tristin Rudd, Benson Kash Rudd and Kandice Michelle Rudd.
Mr. Rudd was preceded in death by his parents, Willard Dempsey and Verna Alva Rudd.

Funeral services for Mr. A.W. Foster, age 80, will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewy Bass officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will begin Thursday at 12:00 PM until service time.
Mr. Foster was born May 16, 1932 in Stamps, AR to Sid and Kate Clark Foster and passed away December 24, 2012 in Springhill, LA. He was a lifelong resident of this area, a faithful member of the Springhill United Pentecostal Church and an US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Foster was retired from International Paper Company after 26 years and was also an offshore worker for many years. He loved gardening, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mavis Hales Foster of Springhill, LA; son, Dale Foster and wife, Sharon of Bossier City, LA and step-grandson, Christopher Vines.
Mr. Foster was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers and four sisters.
Serving as pallbearers will be Sid Foster, Dick Foster, Christopher Vines, Bobby Nix, Leon Foster and Roger Tindall.

Sarepta, Louisiana - Graveside services for Mrs. Lola Maxine Zeigler, age 86, will be held Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 1:30 PM in Blockers Chapel Cemetery with Rev. James Hooker officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will begin Saturday at 9:30 AM until 12:30 PM at Bailey Mortuary, Springhill.
Mrs. Zeigler was born September 8, 1922 in Sarepta, LA to Gent Thomas and Bertie Mae Lynn Wheeler and passed away Thursday, August 22, 2009 in Shreveport, LA. She was a lifelong resident of this area, a member of the Pentecostal Church and was retired from Edmont Wilson, Haynesville, LA.
She is survived by her sons, Johnnie John Knight, Ronny Lyn Zeigler James Albert Zeigler, Robert Jay Zeigler; an aunt, Brit Barnes of Benton, LA; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
Mrs. Zeigler was preceded in death by her husband, Albert A. Zeigler, Jr and a son, Thomas Glen Zeigler.
Pallbearers will be Mike Caraway, Josh Zeigler, Eric Banevra, Dale Carpenter, Robbie Zeigler and Mike Duck.

Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Ford, age 84, will be held Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 12:00 PM in the Rocky Mount Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bill Searight and Rev. Kathleen Hignight officiating. Interment will follow in Rocky Mount Cemetery, Rocky Mount, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Plain Dealing, LA.
Visitation will begin Wednesday at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Bailey Funeral Home, Plain Dealing, LA.
Mrs. Ford was born March 26, 1926 to Ira E. and Rennie Stephens Kendrick and passed away January 17, 2011 in Shreveport, LA. She was a resident of Rocky Mount, a member of Rocky Mount Presbyterian Church and was retired from the Louisiana Army Ammunition Plaint after 26 years of service. Mrs. Ford was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Ford Hagan and husband, Donnie of Waco, TX; son, Lonnie Ford and wife, Sharon of Benton, LA; sister, Billie Corie of Shreveport, LA; two granddaughters, Debra Nicole Stephens of Benton, LA, Tiffany Ford of Benton, LA; step-grandson, Shane Strickland of Bossier City, LA, step-granddaughter, Rachel Jones of Keithville, LA, great grandchildren, Josh and Tyler Stephens of Benton, LA and a several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Murry Ford and a son, Tommy Glenn Ford.
Pallbearers will be Debra Nicole Stephens, Tyler Stephens, Josh Stephens, Tiffany Ford, David Corie and Ricky Corie.

Interment will follow in the Springhill Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Rites under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Mr. Hill was born March 3, 1927 in Parkdale, AR to Hughey Simon and Jimmie Birdeen Higdon Hill and passed away Thursday, October 04, 2012 in Springhill, LA. He was a resident of Springhill, a graduate of Parkdale High School, Parkdale, AR; graduate of Louisiana State University with a B.S. in Business Administration and was owner/operator of KBS F/AM and KTKC/FM for many years.
Mr. Hill was a member of many Masonic organizations, serving as Master, Springhill Lodge, #348; District Deputy Grandmaster-District 2; Master of the LA. Lodge of Research; Eastern Star, past Patron-Wagner Chapter; past Grand Patron-Order of the Easter Star-State of LA and committee member of the General Grand Chapter-Chairman Assembly Finance-LA. He also served the York Rite; Royal Arch; Springhill Chapter #94-High Priest-District Deputy Grand High Priest-Grand Royal Captain, State of LA; Council-Minden Council #34; Illustrious Master-District Deputy Grand Illustrious Master; Commandry-Knights Templar-Minden-Commander-Knight Crusader of the Cross-LA; Scottish Rite-Valley of Shreveport-32nd Degree and Shrine: Member of El Karubah Temple; President of Springhill Shrine Club and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Springhill Lions Club-1954-2012.
His governmental bodies attributes include, North Webster Parish Industrial District-First Chairman; I-69 Midcontinent Association-Board of Directors; Bi-State Corridor Commission-Vice-Chairman, LA Economic Revolution-President; fraternal organizations include President of the Lions Club; President of the Quarterback Club and President of the Civitan Club.
Mr. Hill’s endeavors also included sales manager for KRAZ-TX; Monroe, LA; President of KCLA, Pine Bluff, AR; General Manger of KCIJ, Shreveport, LA; Manager of KMOZ, Mobile, AL; consultant for radio stations in LA, AR and AL; served as the Chairman of the Board for the Bank of Bradley, Bradley, AR; Board of Directors of First Federal Savings of Springhill; Board of Directors of Twin City Bank, West Monroe, LA and Executor of H.S. Hill Estate, Parkdale, AR.
He is survived by his sons, Keith Hill of Dallas, TX; John Hill and wife, Alice of Springhill and granddaughter, Connie Lauren Hill
Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 54 years, Connie Simmons Hill on May 24, 2005; two brothers, James and Hidgon and sisters, Louise Perry and Berdine McCauley.
Masons will serve as pallbearers.
