Plain Dealing, LA - Graveside services for Ms. Joy Maxine Matlock, age 80, will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 27, 2013, in Salem Cemetery, Plain Dealing, LA, with Bro. Slade Blend and Bro. Charlie Kerr officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2013 8:30am until 10:30am at Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Ms. Matlock was born on July 31, 1932 to Marvin Madison and Virgie Elmira Hilburn Matlock and passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013 in Vivian, LA. She was retired from Schumpert Medical Center as a CNA after 25 years of service and was a member of the workers non-denominational church. Ms. Matlock loved to fish, work puzzles, get in her car and drive and baby sit for her nieces.

She is survived by two sisters, Patsy Matlock Stiles of Benton, LA, Jerline Wise and husband, Tommie Joe of Shongaloo, LA; two brothers, John Matlock Sr. and wife, Mary of Plain Dealing, LA, Ron Matlock and wife, Patty of Plain Dealing, LA and a host of nieces and nephews.

Ms. Matlock was preceded in death by her parents; her sister,Virginia Cox and brothers, Huey Matlock and Buck Matlock.

Pallbearers will be Tommie Wise Jr., Tyler Slaton, Jonathan Slaton, Christopher Gryder, John Hall Matlock Jr. and Brian Matlock. Honorary pallbearers will be John Hall Matlock Sr., Ron Matlock, David Johnston, Kirk Wise, Bobby Slaton, Randy Haynes, Tommie Joe Wise Sr. and Russel Slaton.

Haynesville, LA - Funeral services for Mr. Lonnie Leon Green , age 66, will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 9, 2013 in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Haynesville, LA. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery, Haynesville, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 8, 2013 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Green was born on March 9, 1946 to Lonnie Lee and Hattie Mae Lackey Green in Dallas, TX and passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013 in Homer, LA. He was a member of the Church By Christ Jesus, Balch Springs, TX, US Marine Corp Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War and was a retired electrician. Mr. Green loved the outdoors, fishing and his dogs and horses.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Childress Green; son, Lonnie Green and wife, Patricia of Forney, TX; daughter, Katrinia Ramirez and husband, Robert of Washington, IN; four grandsons, Christopher J. Green, Conner P. Green, Roger C. Quinn Jr., and Zachary F. Ramirez; step-son, Randy Smith of Dallas, TX; sister, Linda Hawkins of North Richland Hills, TX; brother-in-law, Joe Shipp of Seagoville, TX; very special friend, James Hayes of Seagoville, TX and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Freddie Lee Shipp.

Pallbearers will be Roger C. Quinn Jr., Jimmy Bishop, Jody Childress, Blade Childress, Douglas Funderburg, and Steven Anglin.

Shelby Jean Dominique

June 20, 1940 - January 9, 2013

Funeral services for Mrs. Shelby Jean Dominique, age 72, will be held Friday, January 11, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Cotton Valley, LA with Rev. Kenneth DeHart officiating. Interment will follow in Cotton Valley Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Cotton Valley, LA.

Visitation will begin Friday at 8:30 AM until time of service.

Mrs. Dominique was born June 20, 1940 in Spearsville, LA to Harvey and Olive Burden Watson and passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in Shreveport, LA. She was a lifelong resident of Cotton Valley, a member of Unity Baptist Church and was retired from the Webster Parish School Board with 25 years of service.

She is survived by her son, Gregg Alan Ebard and brother, Kenneth Watson and wife, Dell, whom was a special sister, of West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Dominique was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Earl Dominique and brother, Paul Watson.

Friends will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Watts was born on February 15, 1945 to Ray and Opal Hicks Whittington in Springhill, LA and passed away on January 10, 2013 in Vivian, LA. She was a member of the Baptist faith, was a homemaker and loved to fish. Mrs. Watts was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her five daughters, Mary Pool of Sarepta, LA, Jennifer Morgan and husband, Tommy of Parkton, NC, Tammy Perkins and husband, Bo of Shongaloo, LA, Terri Roper of Springhill, LA, Tonia Barnard of Guyton, GA; eight grandchildren, Russell Moore of Sarepta, LA, Tori Pool of Sarepta, LA, Tristan Morgan of Parkton, NC, Brad Deschler of Parkton, NC, Billy Houck Jr. of Springhill, LA, Lucy Houck of Springhill, LA, Larry Houck of Springhill, LA, Jeremy Barnard of Guyton, GA; two great-grandchildrens, Dawn Martin of Springhill, LA, Dillion Houck of Springhill, LA; sister, Kathleen Mitchell and husband, David of Atlanta, TX and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Watts was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Opal Whittington; brother, Butch Whittington and sister-in-law, Dorothy Whittington.

Serving as pallbeares will be Herman Dwitt Thurman, Jr., David Mitchell, Jr., Chris McGee, Billy Houck, Sr., Larry Houck, Ray Whittington, Shelby Thompson and Lance Chanler.

Mrs. Craig was born on March 8, 1927 to William and Jewel Stonecipher Bond in Haynesville, LA and passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in Homer. She was a faithful member of the Haynesville United Methodist Church, the UMW and she loved to read. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by two sons, Steve Craig and wife Jill of Haynesville, LA, Tim Craig and wife Georgie of Brandon, MS; daughter, Bronwyn Sneed and husband Donnie of Magnolia, AR; five granddaughters; Crystal Evans and husband Harold, Jamie McDonald and husband Chip, Whitney Emrich and husband John, Shelby Sneed, Sydney Sneed; great-granddaughter, Michelle McDonald; four great-grandsons, Austin McDonald, Porter Emrich, Christian Evans, Andrew Evans; two sisters; Mary Corbell of Shreveport, LA, Sandra Winn of Haynesville, LA and brother, William Bond of Spring, TX.

Mrs. Craig was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lee Craig, brothers, Beverly Bond and Shirly Bond, father, William F. Bond, and mother, Jewel Bond.

Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Plain Dealing, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, at Bailey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rivers was born on June 3, 1917 in Plain Dealing to Arthur R. and Bettie Barnett DeMoss and passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 in Springhill. She was a lifelong resident of this area, a member of the Plain Dealing Baptist Church and a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Donald Rivers on September 7, 1985; her brother, Arthur Curtis DeMoss and sister, Theo Warner.

She is survived by son, Steven Donald Rivers of Sarepta, LA; grandson, James Donald Rivers and wife, Kelli of Clinton, MS; great-grandchildren, Brooke and Cameron and a niece, D'anne McGown of Beaumont, TX.
