LaVaine "Willie" Williamson

Funeral services for LaVaine “Willie” Williamson, age 78, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 17, 2011 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Sheppard officiating. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Bailey Funeral Home.
Mr. Williamson, a lifelong resident of this area, died Friday, October 14, 2011 in Shreveport. He was a member of the Baptist faith, a retired employee of International Paper Company, Container Division, with 35 years of service and a veteran of the US Navy, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved wood working crafts, fishing and hunting and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rudy and Cecil Pauley Williamson and a granddaughter, LeShea Guidry.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Donna Crisp Williamson; daughters, Martha Ann Bass of Cashiers, NC; Linda Karen Maus and husband, Billy of Springhill, LA; grandchildren, Joshua Bass, Kyle O’Glee and wife, Jennifer; Ryan O’Glee and wife, Megan and Samantha Bass; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Isaiah, Caleb, Ian and Scarlett; and brother, Roy Williamson and wife, Sheryl of Eros, LA.
Serving as pallbearers will be Stuart Jones, John Paul Winkler, Wade Harvey, Joshua Bass, Kyle O’Glee and Ryan O’Glee.

Funeral services for Jean Craft, age 69, will be held Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 1:00 PM in Oak Grove Assembly of God Church with Rev. Lawrence Craft and Rev. Kent Craft officiating. Interment will follow in Plain Dealing Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Plain Dealing, LA.
Visitation will begin Friday at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bailey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Craft was born June 12, 1942 in Magee, MS to Burley and Lillian Parrish Craft and passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in Shreveport, LA. She was a lifelong resident of this area, a member of Oak Grove Assembly of God Church and homemaker. Mrs. Craft was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by sons, Chris Craft of Haughton, LA, David Craft and wife, Connie of Minden, LA, Jody Craft and wife, Kimberly of Jonesboro, AR; grandchildren, Zachary Thompson, Jonathon Thompson, Matthew Craft, Ashley Craft, Will Craft, Amber Needham, Rachel DeLoach, Devin Craft; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Rosie Creel of Magee, MS, Dorothy Coker of Ft. Worth, TX; brothers, Doug Craft of Denton, TX, Mark Craft, Ricky Craft, Robert Craft, all of Magee, MS and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Craft was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence C. Craft; infant sons, Ricky and Mickey Craft and brother, Grayson Craft.
Pallbearers will be Will Craft, Matt Craft, Jonathon Thompson, Matt Edwards, Randy Hayes and Ricky Hayes.

(September 20, 1945 - September 30, 2011)
Mae June Jenkins, 86 of Victoria, TX; died on Friday, September 30, 2011 at Citizens Medical Center in Victoria, TX following a brief illness.
Born on September 20, 1925 in Walworth, South Dakota; she was the daughter of John and Christine Kubier Kulm. June was a homemaker and a former member of Northwest Baptist Church in El Dorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Florence Waul, brothers Franklin, Tom, Kenny, and Robert Kulm and her husband John Theodore Jenkins.
Survivors are a son Ted and wife Cindy Jenkins Jr. of Victoria, TX, daughters Caroline Witten of Boise City, OK and Chris and husband Butch Chance of Park City, KS, a brother Arnold Blumhardt of Sacramento, CA, along with 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 am, Monday, October 3, 2011 at Arlington Memorial Park with Rev. Bob Inmon officiating. Memorials may be made to the Donor’s choice.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie Bounds Morrison Brewer, age 90, will be held Friday, September 30, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Cotton Valley, LA, with Rev. Bill Lott officiating. Interment will follow in Rocky Mount Cemetery, Rocky Mount, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Cotton Valley, LA.
Visitation will begin Friday at 12:00 PM until time of service.
Mrs. Brewer was born April 21, 1921 in Cotton Valley, LA to William Joe and Nannie Mae Rabb Bounds, Sr and passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011 in Dubach, LA. She was a resident of Ruston and a former resident of Houma, LA for 50 years. Mrs. Brewer was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Leslie Morrison Colvin and husband, Mark of Dubach, LA, Samuel Michael Morrison and wife, Cathy of Spartanburg, SC; step-daughter, Maurine Lacy Brewer Ries and husband, Tim; step-grandchildren, Joey Albeanese, Maurine Albeanese, Licia Albeanese, Charles Ries; great grandchildren, Jolee Verret McAbee, Natalie Verret, Michael James Morrison; a great great grandchild, Jonathan Verret and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, S. R. “Jack” Morrison, Frank Brewer; son, James Logan Morrison; step-son, Frank Brewer II; four brothers and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be Samuel Michael Morrison, Joe Bounds, Jeff McAbee, Michael Morrison, John Mark Colvin and David Ambrose.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lula B. “Lou” Jones, age 72, will be held Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 2:00 PM in First Baptist Church, Taylor, AR with Bro. Vernon Lee officiating and Bro. Randy Wilson assisting. Interment will follow in Taylor Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will begin Friday at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Taylor, AR.
Mrs. Jones, the youngest of thirteen children, was born June 4, 1939 in Taylor, AR to Early R. and Ivy Keeton Harvey and passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011 in Springhill, LA. She was a resident of Taylor, AR and a member of Taylor First Baptist Church. Mrs. Jones went to work for Citizens Bank and Trust, September 1972 and finally retired December 2010.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Thomas “Clell” Jones of Taylor, AR; son, Jeffrey W. Jones and wife, Ginger of Taylor, AR; five grandchildren, Laci Lobbs, Joshua Jones, Caleb Jones, Justin Jones, Presley Jones; three great grandchildren, Cody, Hunter, Thomas; sisters, Bertha Wallace of Atlanta, TX, Maude Jennings of Taylor, AR; brother, George Harvey and wife, Myra Jane of Taylor, AR and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents; son, Raymond Alan Jones, five brothers and four sisters.
Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Foster, Russ Campbell, Bruce Hoyle, Scott Hoyle, Todd Winkler and Tim Crews.

Mrs. Jenkins was born August 25, 1951 in Hope, AR to Kelsie Lueneil and Lousie Huckabee Putman and passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 in Minden, LA. She was a resident of Cotton Valley, LA, a member of Unity Baptist Church and a retired hairdresser. Mrs. Jenkins loved to play Kismit with Judy Maxwell every Saturday and “cattin” around with Kristy Jackson. She will be dearly missed by all her family and many friends.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Johnny Ray Jenkins of Cotton Valley, LA; daughter, Jodi Shaw and husband, Eddie of Dubberly, LA; son, Johnny Reed Jenkins and wife, Dina of Cotton Valley, LA; mother, Louise Huckabee Putman of Springhill, LA; grandchildren, Hayden Jenkins, Peyton Jenkins, Addisyn Jenkins, Zac Shaw; brother, Mike Putman and wife, Dianne of Springhill, LA; sister, Mina Cannon and husband, Tim of Springhill, LA and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by father; her sister, Tony Putman Reeves and nephew, Chance Cannon.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Robertson, Ronnie Hennigan, Trey Maxwell, Trent Maxwell, Donald Beck and Putt Putman.
